Welcome to all of you listening to Plays on Word Radio. My name is Fred David Kenny Jr. Thank you very much, Josh Taylor and Katie Kenny. Welcome to all of you. I recently was thinking about where we left off with our Pete performances, and I was playing them for you. I was playing clips for you and giving you explanation and stuff like that. And then we got into different seasons, Christmas Joan. We actually never got back to Pete. And we're 190 episodes in now. So I I tell you what, I wanted to play part of the part of the Pete play for you, like the second half. We never even did that really for you.
So this is the second half of Pete. He ate the fish sandwich right in front of us. He said, This is what I told you about when I was with you. That all that was written about me in the Psalms and the prophets and Moses had to be fulfilled. Received the Holy Spirit and He breathed on all of us. He went, and it was like it was like the breath of life that God breathed into Adam. Because when he breathed on us, the scriptures started to slowly come into focus. They were like, whoa, whoa, whoa, they were lighting up all over the place. And we were starting, whoa, we started to understand. Slowly, we started to get it. They're all coming, they're dialing in into focus. The scriptures. We started to understand that Jesus had to come and live the perfect life that no man from Adam to the present day could live. Jesus came and lived and met the righteous requirements of God that no person could ever meet. But Jesus did. He was put to death on the cross, and he took your sin and my sin with him into the grave, as far as the east is from the west, so as he removed our sin from us, he was raised to life on the third day as a sign, a stamp of approval that his sacrifice is a deed accepted. And now, by us putting our faith in what he did, nothing we had anything to do with, but us putting our faith in him. We stand before God as if we had never sinned in the first place. We stand before God in a righteousness that is by faith from first to last. That's good news, right? Amen. That is good, that's gospel news. Well,
Tommy wasn't there when this whole thing went down. Tommy wasn't with us. So about a week later, we're all in the upper room, the doors are locked. Tommy's with us. Actually, we saw Tommy during the week and we said, listen, man, he's alive. He ate the fish sandwich right in front of us. We touched him. He's alive, man. Tommy was like, He's alive. Stop that. I saw him on the cross. Unless I see the nail marks in his hands and that hole in his side, I'm not believing he's alive. Come on now. So now we're all in the upper room. A week later. Tommy's with us. Jesus appears in the upper room. He says, Peace. And he walks straight over to Tommy. And he says, Thomas. And Tommy fell on his knees and went. Blessed are all those who have not seen. And yet believe. Then he rebuked us for being so hard-headed. We were supposed to go up to Galilee in the first place. We were supposed to go all the way up to Galilee. And he rebuked us for that. So we
we headed up to Galilee and we're waiting around and waiting around and waiting around. And I'm like, man, I'm going back to what I know. I'm going back to fishing. That's something I know I can do. That's what I can do. I fished all night long. About seven of us. We didn't catch nothing. Then the sun's coming up. Now we're maybe a hundred yards from the shore, and there's this one guy walking along the shore, and the guy says, Hey, my children, do you catch any fish? And all the guys in unison looking at me, they all answer them saying, Nope. And I was like, I'm a professional, I'm a pro. You guys aren't pros. I'm a pro. Then the guy on the beach says, throw your net on the right side of the boat. And of course, when he said that, I thought to myself, everybody's a professional fisherman. Everybody. Go to pull the net in. What? The net was completely full of big fat fish. I mean, whoa! It was, I mean, it was completely stuffed. One of the guys says, That's the Lord. When they said I I put on my outer cloak, I tied it around my waist, and I dove headfirst off the boat into the water, and I start swimming. And I start swimming. And as I'm coming up to the shore, I see he's got a fire going and some hot coals and some fish grilling and some some bread, bacon. Hey Rabbi, not bacon, but the bread was baking. Because the bacon ain't kosher. And so, yeah, and Jesus says to me, He says, Go get some of the fish you just caught. Okay, okay. So I swim back to the boat. Oh, and I grab the net and I bring the boat. I mean, I bring the net out and I lay it out, and we caught 153 big fat fish, and the net didn't break.
And we had breakfast on the Sea of Galilee with Jesus. After breakfast, we walked along, and Jesus said, Simon, do you love me more than these? And I looked at him, I was like, You know I love you. And Jesus said, feed my lambs. We walked a little bit farther. And Jesus said to me, He said, Do you love me? And I looked at him, I was like, You know I love you. And he said, We walked a little bit farther along. This time he got right in my face, and he said, Do you love me? And I looked at him. And I was hurt because he asked me a third time. I said, Lord, you know all. You know I love you. And Jesus said to me, He said, feed my sheep. And I tell you, when you were younger, you went wherever you wanted. And dressed yourself how you wanted. But when you are older, you too will stretch out your hands. Someone will take you where you don't want to go and dress you. And I looked at him and I was like, And I noticed that John was kind of behind us.

So I had to say something.

What about him? And Jesus was like, if I want him to remain until I come back, what is that to you? You follow me. And
so Jesus, he met with over 500 of us. Most of you were there. I recognize your faces. You remember that mountain in Galilee, that mountain up there in Galilee, and he gave us, that's where he gave us that great commission. He told us to go and what did he say? Baptize in the name of the right, the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit. Right. And he said, Go and and right, make disciples. He gave us that great commission. But then he told us we were to meet him one last time down here in Judea. And that's how we just that's how we ended up here on the Mount of Olives because He just led us out here. Amen. He's
the one who came the seas. He comes, storms in me, and was able to end our misery. Yeah, that's it. He's more than a prophet, more than a teacher, more than a healer, more than a preacher. He's the one who rose from the dead. He's the Son, brought back to life, like we said. Oh, he is alive. Oh yes, he is. He is risen from the grave, so we give, we give our praise, we praise the name, the name of Jesus. And he's the one. We're the one. That at some point all fell away. We didn't know what to say. We never thought that we would ever see that day. But he knew we would fall down, he's forgiving us, he's standing us upright, showing us God's love. He is risen now. We don't have to hide. We must proclaim that he's alive. He is alive. Oh yes, he is. He is risen from the grave, so we give, we give our praise, we praise the name, the name of Jesus. He is alive, oh yes, he is. He conquered death, and it's through him we live. We live our praise, we live our days in the name of Jesus.

Amen! There he is, you guys! He just let us out here! Oh, I'm gonna there he is, you guys! Oh my goodness!
Praise God. Hey, I tell you what. Somebody in this place. Give the Lord a hand. Come on. Come on now. Y'all can do better than that. Come on. Amen. Amen. I want to thank you guys for coming out. Was the gospel message clear in that? You know, I wouldn't be doing my job as a pastor if I just assumed that everybody understood the gospel message. Listen, the gospel, gospel means good news. And the good news is that Jesus Christ came and lived that perfect life that nobody could live. Listen, this is a good test for yourself. If you're not sure, you know, if you're not sure you're in the family of God, or if you if you don't have assurance of your salvation, this is a good test. God forbid, but if you were to die tonight, and I pray it doesn't happen, but if you were to die tonight, are you sure you would wake up in the presence of God Almighty as a blood-bought child of God? Amen. If you're not sure, if you're not sure, you can be sure before you walk out underneath that exit sign. Walk out of here on your way out of here. You can be 100% sure. Listen, going to church doesn't make you right with God. Going to church doesn't make you a believer. Okay? Going to church doesn't put you in the family of God. I'll give you an example.
There's an auto, that's cool. You can leave it, you can leave it. Uh uh. Going to church. That would have been great during the during the storm scene. Yeah. But going to church, listen, there's an auto place right up the street where they repair cars. They actually repair my car. They do inspection and everything like that. If I went to that auto repair place and spent the night, do you think I would wake up and be a car? Right? It's ridiculous logic, right? I wouldn't be a car if I, even if I identified it as a car. I wouldn't be a car. Right? How about this? How about if I went to that auto place every Sunday morning at 10 a.m.? Would that make me a car? No. No. Unfortunately, a lot of people have the logic, they go to church. And that's got them right with God. It's the same logic. It's faulty. It's not about what you're doing, it's about what he has done and you having a relationship with the true and living God. So if you're not sure, listen, if you came in here, it's not by accident. If you came in here and you're not sure and you're just hoping, well, and this is the good test, I hope I did enough good deeds. If I die tonight, if I was to die, I pray it doesn't happen, but if I was to die tonight, I think I'd be good with no, before you walk underneath the exit sign, you can know for sure you are a blood-blood child of God. You're in the family of God. How do you do
that? You turn towards the true and living God. So I'm just gonna just listen, I want all the believers, we're all gonna bow our heads. I'm gonna give you an opportunity. Today is the day of salvation. Make it right with the true and living God. He has engineered you to hear this, if if if your heart is being stirred right now. And I might be preaching to the choir, but I can't take that gamble. All the believers, I want you to be in prayer for anybody who's about to enter the kingdom of God for all eternity. And if you want to get right with God and have assurance, listen, if you've asked him to come into your life and forgive you, you don't have to ask him over and over and over again to come into your life and forgive you. You don't have to do that. But if you haven't, let's do it. Today's the day. So you pray this prayer and you don't even have to pray it out loud. You pray this from your heart. God Almighty can hear you. You you just say, Lord Jesus, thank you for dying on the cross for me. I know that I'm a sinner. Please forgive me, Lord. Please forgive me of my sin. Lord, please fill me with your Holy Spirit. And live through me, Lord. And if that madman, that crazy pastor that's got like five screws loose, if he's right, Lord, I want to I want to know you and I want to be right with you. I want today to be the day, Lord. Let today be the day, and I turn towards you, the true and living God. With every head bowed, every eye closed. Listen, this is between you and God. But if you if you did pray that prayer to ask Jesus to come into your life and forgive you, could you just raise your hand? Nobody's looking. If you did pray that prayer, every eye closed. Amen. Amen. Praise God. Praise God. Way more important than me seeing your hands is that God Almighty has heard the cry of your heart. Heard the cry of your heart. And I'm here to tell you that He's invested in you knowing Him and you living for all eternity with Him. Now, everybody with your head bowed, you Christians, if you're in the family of God, all right, you're and and let me tell you, just say this. If you just prayed that prayer for the first time and asked Jesus to come into your life and forgive you, all heaven just broke into an uproar. All heaven broke into an uproar of rejoicing when one person turns to the true and living God. Now, the believers with your eyes closed, and I pray everybody in here is a believer now.
Maybe something has been beating you up in your life. Maybe something has been just dogging you, nagging at you, giving you, just hindering your walk with God. You pray this prayer, and you don't have to say it out loud. God can hear you, but you say, Lord God, please fill me with the joy of my salvation, Lord, in you. Fill me to overflow with your spirit, Lord. And Lord, if anything in me is hindering you from living through me to the fullest, Lord God, I offer it up to you. I give it to you right now, Lord. Please give me victory in this life, Lord. Live through me by the power of your spirit. Have free reign in my life. With every eye closed and every head bowed, if you prayed that prayer, could you just raise your hand? Amen. Praise God. Praise God. Amen. Listen, I'm telling you right now, God Almighty has heard. Listen, he has heard those prayers of your heart. This is way better than a text message or an email. This is a DM or whatever you want to call it directly to him. And he has heard it. And he has invested in answering those prayers. Point and beyond of death and shedding his blood so that we would know him and he would live through us for all eternity. We would be right with him. And for some of y'all today, that starts, that starts today. For all eternity. Heavenly Father, I just want to commit everybody here to you, and everybody online who might be watching this that maybe prayed that prayer. Lord God, we thank you. Thank you. You've heard the prayer. Lord, fill us with your spirit, anoint us with your spirit. Radically change us, Lord. Give us ears to hear, eyes to see, encourage to act. Help us to hear you clearly, Lord. Live through us in a radical way, Lord. We love you. We thank you and praise you in Jesus' name.
