Grew up in southern Utah with the "desert people" as Abigail calls them. He was active in the church until his mid-twenties when he finally decided to stop trying and start drinking. He didn't go through the temple, and never went on a mission. For someone that spent so much time in the church he probably knows the least about it, but what he lacks in knowledge he makes up for in saying stupid shit that annoys Abigail and Abish.
