Ok, here me out.

CES … the Consumer Electronics Show … is in full swing in Las Vegas right now.

Let’s face it … there are a lot of cool things down there that make the news - but are so expensive or in alpha phase that we either won’t get our hands on the tech or will not be able to afford the toys.

What is Rabbit?  Why is it your own personal digital assistant.  How much?  $199.  The Rabbit R1 .. with LAM … which stands for Large Action Model, for those keeping count of all those new three letter things that get tossed at us.

Rabbit actually developed a model that uses systems like a human would … Yes, like YOU.

I think we may be looking at the next iPhone.  At least in concept.  Think of your own AI assistant.

It is fast.  Making Siri seem like she is into distance and irritation.  And you can TEACH it to do things.  So that manual task of, say, removing a watermark in Photoshop, pushing that mouse around your desk, sipping on a Diet Coke, and even swearing a bit, will probably disappear.

Think of instructions like this,“Go to Photoshop.  Open it.  Grab your photos.  Make a lasso on the watermark and click click click click.”  Expand this to home robots we are in business, folks!

Oh it won’t talk to me like Judy, who is my own human assistant.  Or talk back to me … all in fun banter.  Or console me in hard times.  But Rabbit will understand me.  At least on a getter done level.

So I guess there are limits.  ChatGPT, however, seems so yesterday haha.  Actually, it probably is.

But these little wearable go-getters are coming into your life with more speed than Google and will be better than Alexa.  

Hey Siri  … you are about to be replaced by a carrot chomping do-it-all.

And I, for one, cannot wait. Until that Rabbit runs from its cage or goes on strike.

So is it hype?  Well, just so you know, it did sell out in ONE DAY!  10k units.
