As for information, maybe you haven’t heard … but Google Bard has been improved and rebranded.  Basically, it is Chat-GPT 4 level AI.  Just in case you were wondering.  So Google Gemini, here we ARE!

Thank goodness for AI … because as exciting as AI is, these tech gurus are really not mavens of entertainment.

Not even AI can excite these two … sorry guys.

But if you get the core, AI will do the things you once thought only you could do … or some other pro.

Great!

But like exercise, if AI can do it, my muscles are going to get flabby.

And that really is the main point here.  For all the innovation, it pays to exercise your brain with intellectual pursuits.  Reading, writing, thinking … 

That is my worry … general mental atrophy.  Or the ability to work through problems.  Or just work, in general.

The spoon feeding of news, AI generated and created, is a real concern.  A serious one.  Let those FOX, CNN, and MSNBC folks argue … and waste your time … they are short for what news is to become.  AI will produce the stories AND the video … and one day soon you won’t be able to tell the difference.  

Hard to hear, I know.  But don’t kid yourself … it is on its way.

Woodward and Bernstein are going synthetic.  For CTV, it will be about 9%.  And your news standbys are going hasta luego.  The downsizing is just beginning.  Don’t think so?  AI news presenters are already being used as of late 2023!  Still not as realistic as one might like … just give it a little time.

So goes your oil change, so goes your news.  TV and Radio are going the way of the dinosaur.

Slippery and hard to hold.

Seems like all of our realities are getting an oily shake … vision going blurry … and we need to make sure rational humans stay in the game.
