#9 Ryan Teasell - Empathy Through Synesthesia and Baseball
Ryan Teasell is a good friend and an avid baseball fan. Since he was a child, he was awed by the phenomenal Mariners team of the late 90's and early 2000's. Since then, he's suffered like many Seattle fans with nothing but disappointments; but he continues to show up.
Much like his positive attitude with baseball, Teasell brings the same sort of attitude he takes in his life. Through ups and downs, we discuss what it's like being a synesthetic - someone who sees sounds as colors. I forgot to ask if he sees teal, silver and navy at Mariners games, oops - and an empath. Being an empath is a blessing and a curse as he bring on the emotions of others like they are his own.
