Here we go.
ErinEvery buddy.
JoshHello? Hello.
ErinBye everybody. I. I mean, my mom.
Joshhi moms.
ErinFirst episode. We're doing it.
JoshIt's about damn time. It's about that time in a minute. I'm Anita.
ErinI feel like we need Royalties or something that like,
JoshOh, yeah.
ErinIt wasn't close enough
JoshWe weren't on pitch.
ErinOkay.
JoshWelcome to pick.
ErinPick a lane. Blatch I feel like that's become
JoshPick a lane Blatch. It has been a Blatchford household. Tagline.
ErinAnd have.
JoshHere we are.
ErinHere we are. We're picking a lane, kind of, We've been talking for years
Joshabout. I
Erina podcast and just, I don't know, never got around to it. Also, we just couldn't pick a lane. We couldn't figure out what we wanted to talk about. So. one day. I said, Josh. why don't we just call it? Pick a lane. And we actually just don't pick a lane. Yeah. It's going to be great. I can't wait.
JoshI feel we picked a lane, but it's Maybe. a 10 lane
ErinYeah, for sure. We're just going to be switching. Yeah.
JoshSo this is.
ErinCutty song about that.
JoshSwitching mains lanes. Wow.
ErinBrought us back.
Joshroyalties that we have to work through.
ErinEmail the lawyer later.
Joshyou want to tell them a little bit about. what is going to
ErinWhy we're here. I'm Erin.
JoshI'm Josh.
Erinwe are. just two Average Joe's. But. We have a lot to say, I guess. Well, we've been on a journey over the last couple of years. and we recently started a new business. with our friend and business partner, Laura. Called Rudy. And so we'll probably talk a good bit about that, but yeah, about all the things that I feel like we've been exploring the last couple of years. faith, Spirituality wellness. health, biohacking business, whatever, I don't
Joshknow.
ErinYeah.
JoshI think this gives us the opportunity to spread our wings a little bit. And We've been in hibernation. for the past five, six years. And.
Erinmean, mostly the last two or three, but
JoshSo is everyone with the pandemic, but I think We've grown and evolved. a ton in the past couple of years and learned a lot along the way. and
ErinAnd this is just fun. Like I'm excited to have scheduled. Interesting conversation with you. Yeah.
Joshgood. Yeah. So, yeah. We're going to pick some lanes. Each episode. And.
ErinToday's
Joshit goes.
Erinwhat's today's lane.
JoshI think we're going to do a little bit of a backstory. And give a little context. Our journey. Kind of go into that a little bit and how it impacts Rudy. R U T I. Rudy.
ErinThis episode brought to you by.
JoshOur number one sponsor.
ErinThey pay us Big bucks. to be on this podcast. So. Yeah. Well, Do you want to tell them? What Rudy is. and I can. Yeah, go for it. So
JoshYou'll hear if you don't already know that. I had a pretty tough. health journey of the past couple of years. On and off for the past couple of years. And. Through that we found something called. bioenergetic testing, that freaking healed me. and Completely changed our lives. Laura, my business partner. And I, we own a digital agency called. peak shout out peak.
ErinAlso sponsors.
JoshSuper huge sponsor. Essentially we focus in e-commerce brands. We build and design. Mostly websites and apps. And so.
Erinand apps.
JoshThanks babe. We're pretty proficient. in that. And so we. Kept saying we're kind of gatekeeping this technology. Let's turn it into a brand that we can. Share with the world.
ErinYeah.
JoshIt's one thing we know how to do well, so we just fucking did it.
ErinYeah.
JoshAnd yeah, It's been a blast. So far. We're obviously passionate about it because I went from being better at, into running a half marathon. And which we'll talk about more. But. Yeah. It's, it's been a ride so far. Yeah. What is bioenergetics, babe? Yes.
Erinfor anyone listening, who is not familiar. Okay. So if we think of all matter in the world is made up of Adams. And Adams are made up of subatomic particles. There's protons, neutrons and electrons. And you may remember from like eighth grade science.
JoshOr don't remember.
ErinJosh probably wasn't awake for those, but. I was paying attention in the front row. Personally. But essentially those electrons are in constant motion They're buzzing around that. nucleus of every Adam. And what that means is that every thing all matter. Holds a frequency. And I think when people hear the word frequency or energy or energetic or resonate, they feel like it's kind of new age or hippy-dippy, or. You know, not scientific. But really it's just physics. So these vibrations are measurable in. a unit of Hertz, these vibrations or frequencies. And everything holds a unique. Energetic code or signature, you can call it. And so that's anything from the couch. That I'm sitting on to this microphone, to the cells in my body that make up. my tissues, organs, body systems. Et cetera. So bioenergetic testing is this way of. Analyzing energetically. Your body. Specifically.
Joshthrough hair and saliva samples.
ErinYeah. So. So. There's other forms of bioenergetics out there, but what we do at Rudy and what we used to heal, you. It is yeah. Heron, saliva samples and we're able to energetically analyze those things and we can see where your body's experiencing stress. Down to specific organs and tissues. And then also on a bigger scale, like body systems. And then we're able to. Look through different potential causes of that stress. So. Be it. energetic sensitivities. Things like food or environmental things that our bodies are not essentially agreeing with for whatever reason. And then. Nutritional imbalances, hormone imbalances, and then the big one our toxin exposure. Resonating toxin. So we analyze your samples and we're seeing the energetic codes or energetic signatures of toxins, things like mold, heavy metals. viruses, chemicals, et cetera. Then we know that your body is essentially. holding on to that and having to manage that. And we now understand this idea of a toxin bucket. So we live our life collecting. Toxin exposures just from being a human these days. There's chemicals everywhere. There's, you know, mold and heavy metals, all these things in our environment. not to mention our emotional, traumas or all these things that we're collecting. And when our bucket is not adequately draining. Essentially it just fills up with this stuff and overflows, and that's when we see chronic symptoms, chronic illness. Yeah, so bioenergetic testing. was a way. That we found really effective healing. Oh. And then, so after we are able to see where the body is stressed, why it's stressed. Then the most important part is that we are able to come up with a plan. We are holistic minded and so we use nutritional supplements, herbal remedies and homeopathic remedies. And so we. I mean, we'll talk later about how we kind of found bioenergetic testing, but. We were super skeptical when we started it. And Obviously we are huge believers at this point. We started a whole company. just to get the word out. But yeah, I just, we are very motivated to help people heal. I think this journey that we went on, we connected with a lot of people who are on similar paths. Or even worse. And I feel like we have this hidden secret. We just want to like shout it from the rooftops. You do not have to be sick. You can heal So. Yeah, that's what we've been. We've been rolling. with. I feel like we're both in, in flow right now and it's really fun. Yeah.
JoshAll three of us. So Laura. my business partner, peek, Aaron and myself. We're the co-founders of Rudy. It comes with ease. Yeah. Our conversations, our ideas, our thoughts, our iterations on the site. everything we're just flowing. We could just riff for hours. Yeah. Yeah, it's been really fun. Yeah. The most fun. has. so. it Helped me tremendously. we'll talk through that journey. but. I am one person. And I saw other people going through it. While I was going through it, but. creating Rudy and watching people come to Rudy and start to heal. It's really fun. to see Other people be positively impacted by this and. Find their freedom. Yeah. That's been really great. Should we. Backstory this babe.
ErinTake us back. 2017.
JoshSo 20.
Erinyear to date.
JoshTop year of my life, for sure.
Erin2017. I think it was
JoshI think it was two. So in 2017. I was an average, Josh.
ErinOkay, wait Let's first. Let me just real quick. to find what average Josh was because for How many, how long had we been. married at that point years? I don't know. A few years. And I remember when we got engaged. Well, Genuinely the thought in my head was what if I can't keep up with. this guy? I'm gonna, I'm gonna need naps. A lot of them. So much energy, so much passion. life force flowing out of you. You were just pure energy, pure joy. Social butterfly. Yeah. And.
JoshMr. Optimist.
ErinOptimist. to a fault.
JoshYeah.
ErinAnd. Also. You never had a worry.
JoshNo, no, no, no.
ErinYeah, things are going to always work out. I mean, on our honeymoon the business that you had been building. for, like the T. It
JoshKnowingly.
ErinYeah. We went out. We got married. We went on our honeymoon thinking all as well.
Joshabout to take off.
ErinYeah. And then we get back and find out oh, actually it's all burned to the ground. and you're making $0. And I was kind of stressed then, But anxiety was not even on the radar. for us
Josheven remotely.
ErinOkay, Sorry. just to get the whole picture. Then 2017.
Joshsmacked me in the face.
Erindid.
JoshI started just accumulating symptoms. By the day. It started with. tightness in my chest. Shortness of breath. Anxiety started to creep in. I was having. Visible. knots in my back. I was thinking about that the other day. You could like
Erinhours did I spend trying to
Joshcould like see them through my shirt. It was Crazy. I had neuro issues. suicidal thoughts. Nerve pain. Dizziness. Oh, I was, I mean,
ErinSweats insomnia. Like it was wild.
Joshit just was cascading. Yeah. And I felt every other day, a new symptom would. Appear. And I would just tack that on to the next one. And it came kind of out of nowhere. We didn't know what to do. So we. Went to my PCP and told them all these things. And he essentially just told me that it was all in my head.
ErinYeah. I said well he said. a few things. He's not my most favorite person. I have a lot of grace and forgiveness for him now, but I do, I do think about writing him a letter every night. But yeah, the first, so first he diagnosed you with costochondritis. Fine, whatever.
JoshWhich is just. A pulled muscle. in my chest.
Erinyeah. But we had obviously a lot more than just that going on. at the time. So We kept going back. being like, look, man X, Y, and Z is happening. All these other things. And he, I would ask for last because I'm a nurse by trade. And so I was just you know, grasping for straws. like trying to figure out what the hell is going on right now. I'm reading books like.
JoshWe were consuming as much as we could. Yeah.
ErinAnd so I'm asking him for labs, can you get a full thyroid panel on him with. the Like reverse or reverse T3 and all these other things.
JoshYeah. I
Erinremember, he looked me in the eye, crossed his arms and was like, I'm the doctor. And I
JoshHe was pretty
Erinwell,
JoshYeah. I have
Erina very sick husband and you're. not helping. So I don't know what to tell you.
JoshYeah, He essentially just said I was depressed. and
ErinHe prescribed you Prozac. for your, I mean, two, P two page long symptoms.
JoshAnd. it just kept growing. I mean, Would become bedridden. I could barely get up. I couldn't walk to the end of the driveway without feeling like death. And Yeah, that was really hard. I went from somebody that had. A ton of friends. To barely having any.
Erinsmall circle during that season. Yeah. It
Joshmade a lot of sense. I mean, we would flake out all the time. When it was gradually getting worse. I would have better days.
ErinSure. Yeah.
JoshAnd we would.
ErinBe
Joshlively enough to be sociable. And then. I would. pay the price For the next three days. And, Oh, it was crazy rag baths because I couldn't take shower. I just all, I was crazy.
ErinYeah. I do always wonder, we've talked about this recently. but like now that we're. Talking more about it. like openly. I'm so curious, what. I mean, I, part of me is curious and pardon me, like, honestly, doesn't give a shit. But like people in our life at that time. I mean, we just were not. We just weren't vocal about it. Like we, I personally didn't want to be a burden on people that's a deep seated thing for me.
JoshYeah.
ErinAnd it also just was so confusing. and so up and down, and it's like, what do I even call this?
JoshWe had no idea. Josh
Erinsick question, mark. Like. I don't
Joshcouldn't get answers.
ErinAnd so we would just take the good days and that's when we would see people. And then we would hibernate on the rest of the day.
JoshWhich was 90% of them. Yeah. And. Oh, yeah. I mean, I would have good mental days. and then days I had really, really
ErinYeah.
Joshdark thoughts and. Panic attacks and it was crazy. So we ended up. Moving over to the functional side. which.
Erinseveral. you know, disappointing appointments. with primary care doctor.
JoshWhich was great. Except it costs $600 a session. Not including labs or remedies that would come with it. And. We went down that path for a little bit. She essentially. Diagnosed me with adrenal fatigue. Now.
ErinYeah. Hindsight like, well, yeah. No, no shit. Your adrenals are a little. Taxed. That's not a root
Joshthat took us down a road of. A lot of not fun things, as well as dropping 30 K a year.
ErinYeah.
JoshUh, My health and what happened over the next couple years after that was. It would feel I would get better.
ErinWell, we would do all these lifestyle things, right? Like we would change our diet. We would.
JoshSure. I was taking like 55 to 60 supplements a day. And I would stop drinking coffee. And I like, Yes. I would do all of those things.
ErinSo of course you would feel like you know, A percentage better.
JoshAnd. then Summer would come around. and I would tank and it felt Every summer. I would tank harder than the summer before. This is what I feel like new symptoms. Crazy. I thought 2017 was bad. but It really. felt
Erinyeah. That was the year we went. to like Seattle. Right.
JoshYeah, we did the coast.
ErinSo We were still able to travel and.
JoshYeah.
Erinmean, Yeah. That's the confusing part. I just think people from the outside and probably anyone with chronic illness. would resonate with this, but Life goes on. You got to Figure it out like you we're still working. We still did.
JoshI was taking calls from bed. Because it was too much to do anything else. So. Fast forward. to 2020. Let's say we have a daughter Zoe. But 2020 comes, Obviously the pandemic. hits and we're kind of living our best life. We felt so good. We have been in Nashville this entire time. Now, or not, but we were at the time and. we decided to really plant roots. We were stoked because I was finally feeling better, maybe. we could rebuild The community that we had.
ErinWe wanted to be like the party
JoshCan we still do. yeah,
ErinAnd
Joshwe bought a piece of land, and decided to build a house. The pandemic it's we're like, oh shit, we need to sell our house. ASAP because who knows what the real estate market's going to do. And we move into your parents. Lake house.
Erinon the lake.
JoshOn old Hickory. The best we bought a jet ski.
Erinfor COVID because
JoshOh, it was incredible. It was like a 1200 square foot lake house. literally on the lake. We were having friends over every single weekend.
ErinIf I could go back to one season of life, it would be before you tanked again at the lake house, it was so fun.
JoshYeah, I won't go to From 2017 to 2020. I won't touch. any of those years. I would never go back. Never. Crazy. But we were having. people over all the time. We were on the jet ski People were sleeping over. We would bake. Pizzas on the grill. It was crazy. And It felt like we were finally finding our stride.
ErinYeah. I remember thinking like, thank God. that season is done and like we're healthy again.
JoshAnd we
ErinBoth of us. Like I was getting back to my normal self. You were feeling decent. We were extra. Like, we were like Not CrossFit, but you know, cross training and running and doing things we hadn't done in years together.
JoshI mean, I was for sure. The most jacked. I've been since we got married, that's for sure. I went from. like right now. I Probably like one 90. And I probably was at Lakehouse, but when I was super sick, I got down to one 60. I looked like skin and bones.
Erinyour mom, Every time we saw her. She. would be like, oh no,
JoshIs Italian mom.
ErinYou have a cannoli. Here's some pasta.
JoshAre you hungry? No, I'll make you
ErinOh, I'll make you something. Yeah.
JoshSo going from one 60 to working my way back up to normal and then bulking, I felt like I was back. Yeah, it was incredible. And then for the July. came.
ErinFor the July. was fun. We had people over. it was a
JoshI felt like I started to not feel like I could.
ErinHang Ah, interesting. Yeah. I wasn't like caught
JoshYeah. I remember a couple things happening where I was like, dang, I'm my.
Erinit's.
JoshThe fatigue. Yeah. In chronic illness. Well, I guess in my experience was. on a cellular Level depleted. I remember telling you, Blinking sometimes felt like a chore. And
Erinraising your arm was like hard
JoshI started to feel. Bits of that. On 4th of July. And we had friends over that weekend. It was, it was awesome. But like I think in the back of my mind, I knew something was coming.
ErinYeah.
JoshThen I remember that weekend. Your parents were there. We were on that walk. And after that walk, I felt. Like I had just run a marathon. I fucking tanked from there.
ErinYeah, by the time we got to your birthday, it was bad news. I mean that's September. Yeah. So. August was rough.
Joshthat got Really bad, really fast. We were busy at work, which we were super thankful for. But I was essentially. bedridden. Yeah.
ErinI remember you taking calls with me
Joshmy gosh. Yeah. Oh, it was bad. And so we played the guessing game again.
ErinYeah.
Joshwere Just like, maybe it's this, maybe it's this, maybe it isn't doctors would even be like, well, maybe it says, maybe it's this, maybe it's this. And somebody recommended a. Heavy metal detox spray. That. I started taking and
Erinit's like, we knew enough to be dangerous.
JoshYeah. And that fucked me over so bad. It, we know hindsight's 2020. We know so much more now. but my.
Eringo out of order.
Joshdrainage pathways. We're not remotely ready. I essentially just unearthed Heavy metals. That was all of them about it and had nowhere to go. Oh my gosh. It was. I, but it was bad. I was in. A permanent. Anxiety attack for weeks.
Erinit was really not fun.
JoshI,
Erinwas like every five minutes he would be
Joshhyperventilating shaking. Oh, it was, it was gnarly.
ErinYeah.
JoshSo we lost hope again. I think in the chronic illness community. Especially people that find Rudy, this isn't your first walk in The park. By the time you find Rudy. And that's kind of where we were when we found. bioenergetics we had put our hope in something and then it didn't work and somebody would be like, oh, this has healed me. And so we would try it And then it wouldn't work or make me worse. Yeah.
Erinit's like, Not that you, you weren't compliant. That was the part that. frustrated me the most. Cause I'm not. a good patient, you know, like give me a prescription and I won't take it.
Joshso annoying. Yeah.
ErinBut Josh. If somebody were to give you a protocol, a diet. They did And
Josha tee.
Erinit to a tee.
Joshobsessively. Yeah, aggravating.
ErinYeah. To not Find lasting wellness, it's like Cool that you felt good for? four to six weeks, but nobody wants to crash every. Every other month.
JoshAnd I want it to get better. So bad. I would do just about anything, but After that. Heavy metal spray that I took. I think we just lost all hope.
ErinI mean,
Joshit got really bad. I started a. Lose. Function like with the right side of my body and then nurse Aaron. decided to tell me she thinks it.
ErinI did not.
Joshbe.
ErinIt was more so like, yo. So all these things are happening. And like, I know we haven't seen a doctor in a while because they really haven't been helpful. But like you can't Oh, Like the right side of Your body isn't working, maybe. we should see someone
JoshIt was crazy. So. My thoughts started to get really, really dark. there and. I think. I thought that that was going to be it. Is what I thought. I thought that this was just going to be my slow death. Because it was getting worse and worse to the point where. There wasn't a whole lot worth. During the day to day.
ErinYeah, I remember you saying that to me. And I was like, oh shit. Like we're there.
JoshYeah. So that's when we decided that it was time for us to move. To Ohio.
ErinYeah.
JoshNashville To get more support. from family members who live throughout. Ohio.
ErinYeah. I mean, we were just drowning. Like I was still working 12 hour shifts in the hospital I just remember every single time I left the house. feeling So uneasy. not that I thought you were going to do anything. It just was like, I don't think he can. manage, like we
Joshhad a
Erinchild. Yeah. This is the first. Health crisis that we had had post. Zoe. That day that I went and you called. Having a panic attack and you were having like really bad vertigo that day. I think right.
Joshdizziness. Yeah.
ErinAnd. I it's like, what do we do? Like we've got nobody. We were I mean, even friends. We were 30 minutes from anybody. that Loved or cared about us.
JoshAnd it was hard. We didn't want to burden them. and.
Erinof her friends had little kids, like everyone was drowning in their
JoshAnd we started flaking on them again, I remember you saying yes to a couple of things, and then I got so sick and you say yes to things.
Erinbecause I wanted To actually go.
JoshYou say yes to things when I'm on Good days is essentially how we would say yes to things. I'm like, well, Yeah. Josh was feeling better. I would even do that. And then the day would come and I would be bedridden. And even remotely. able to take care of a child.
ErinYeah.
JoshSo, Yeah. I got dicey there and. You know, we were rekindling and building relationships with friends again, and then we just ghosted all of them. And. Yeah. It just we, a guy got really lonely, really quick. and. We had nowhere to turn. So yeah. I came to yard. I remember being like, I think we need to move to Ohio. Which. oh man. If somebody would've told me that. I was going to live in Ohio, again, I would've laughed in your face so hard. I was at a point where you couldn't have paid me a million dollars and here we are. So.
ErinYeah.
JoshDuring that time. My mother-in-law. Was becoming a health coach, right. And
Erinjust, I. think. Gotten her certification and she was meeting people. Yeah.
Joshout, Being like, Hey. my son-in-law's super sick. Has Anything helped anybody? And somebody recommended that we check out bioenergetics and. I looked into it. and it looked like the, like, Woo. Woo. He his thing. So sketchy. And so I was like, no, I'm done trying to put hope into things.
ErinWell, And we were just coming off. of the heavy metal
Joshit and it was just a journal, you know, it was like, no. What is going on here? Why isn't anybody talking about this? if This actually worked on anybody. Why wouldn't people be talking about this? So I just didn't do it. And then for my birthday, your mom bought me a scan and I was like, well, I have nothing else to lose. We literally had nothing else to lose at that point.
ErinYeah.
JoshAnd so I tried it.
Erinand the results came back.
JoshAnd they were.
ErinEerily. Yeah. Whoa, same frequency. Hey.
JoshEerily accurate. To the point where we were doing. a console with a lady and she was helping us interpret it because. The amount of information that you get from the results. Is so robust and informative, but. At that point, you were like filling my pill boxes. Cause I was so overwhelmed. So. Having that much. information
Erinfog was real.
Joshintense and. She started talking about symptoms that I had not disclosed.
ErinAnd I
Joshwas like, holy shit..
ErinThat's my favorite thing. Now
JoshOh, it's. The best.
ErinDuring a consult. Once I look at their scan and I'm
JoshWe give free consults with every scan. And Aaron does those.
ErinBut Yeah. When I'm looking through toxins or whatever. and you say somebody has Barton. You know, like whatever you mentioned Bartonella. Yes. And you mentioned a symptom. It's my favorite when their eyes are like, what.
JoshYeah, it's incredible. Yeah. So that
Erinmy favorite because that means that they're suffering, but you know what I'm saying?
JoshAha moments that like, It felt like for the first time somebody was believing me.
ErinYeah. Which that is like huge.
Joshfunctional medicine, all the doctors. that we were seeing, I mean, we were spending $30,000 a year. For people to tell me what they thought. Instead of like believing me that like All of these things were happening. And so for the first time, That happened. And so I was like, shit, I might as well try this. So I started taking the remedies and the first round was fine. But. Aaron. And I had decided let's give this a chance. It's going to probably take a couple of rounds to do this. And now. in Rudy, we say, for every year you've been sick. It's going to take about one to two months of healing. To get back to pre, chronically ill and. that about summed up my journey. And so, I don't know, three or four scans in going through those rounds of remedies. I started to notice. Crazy bounce backs. My brain was turning on. My anxiety started to disappear. My nerve pain was gone. My insomnia was gone.
Erinwe were peeling things away, like little. It wasn't easy. I mean, Every round of remedies that you did.
Joshit was gnarly.
Erinand like, we, it was, Yeah. we were still drowning. For a while.
Joshbig time.
ErinBut Yeah, it was so encouraging to feel like for. once these things that you're experiencing these. Symptoms and discomfort, it feels productive. It feels like we're actually making progress here.
Joshfelt like I was taking care of. the roots, which is the goal. That's why we call it Rudy. We're getting to the root cause of things. but it felt for the first time that we were. Digging up those roots. instead of Band-aiding. it with 55 to 60 supplements or lifestyle changes that were keeping symptoms at bay. but we didn't even know why the symptoms existed.
ErinYeah, that's the one thing that I just in the last couple of years. And this is not to hate on functional medicine. I think it's great. I think functional medicine,
JoshBoth, both sides.
ErinYeah. Like we left conventional medicine, not left. I mean, I still work in the hospital. but we, for ourselves in our health, Left that system because it was so apparent to us. that the Symptoms you were experiencing were symptoms. and All they wanted to do was mask. the symptoms. So Here's Prozac for your anxiety. and depression, and here's. ibuprofen for your, and it. just was Common sense to me to be like, well, what is causing this? Like, why are we just like throwing a drug at it?
JoshTotally.
ErinAnd so that was the beginning, but then what I didn't realize in functional medicine, Is, You can almost kind of. do the same thing, but with a more natural. approach. So Yeah. Your adrenals are taxed. And so here's some things that can help that. But we're still not getting to the root. of Why are your adrenals taxed? There's layers below that. Yeah, So. This has just been the most comprehensive. The path that we have ever come across.
JoshAnd boy was I taking care of things. I mean it was lime to almost every single coinfection. of line, which I had even, I didn't even know. No, we had no idea.
Erinbeen tested, like We went to the PCP and said like, could it be
Joshmultiple times.
ErinBut the
JoshAnd then I had to take care of EBV. and strep. and herpes, and It was crazy. And then. Oh, my gosh. the, parasites, two months. Before we found bioenergetics, we did a stool sample.
ErinYeah.
JoshWith my primary. And. It came back negative. And then a couple months later, I'm freaking passing. foot-long parasites. And I'm like, what the fuck? Like I did at. Parasites like. So.
Erinwe regret not sending them in a Ziploc baggie. Oh,
JoshYes, I do. I do regret that,
ErinDear Dr. Pearson.
JoshEach step I would get better. And So it became a snowball effect. where. It was undoubtedly helping me.
ErinAfter the third one, I was pretty sold. Like, honestly, After the first one, seeing your results. and getting All the information behind it, I was like, huh. This fits like it more than I was expecting. But yeah. Then every subsequent one, I was like, oh
Joshcrazy.
ErinI also totally thought homeopathy was bullshit to be quite honest.
Joshmy gosh air would be like you taking your snake oils today.
Erinyour snake oil taste. But then when you resonated with the first series therapy, I can't remember if it was ed or what.
Joshdon't remember.
ErinThe intensity.
JoshYeah. Of
Erinwhich you felt. it. Yeah. I just remember being oh, Like, this is not, this is. not sugar
JoshYeah,
Erinthere is something to this.
JoshAnd Almost everybody is like that. that isn't a familiar. with any of these types of remedies. And every single one says the same thing. Like, holy shit, This is for real. And you're like, yeah, that's crazy. But then you, you finish that. And you feel like a freaking Superman.
Erinnew level. Yeah.
JoshYou're starting to feel like. you used to feel or better.
ErinYeah.
JoshNow I feel better than I felt. in freaking high school. Yeah, we're amped.
ErinAnd I just, it feels like. It's. Like you're saying. like, why. I has nobody talking about this and I think. I mean, honestly, what it comes down to is money, right? The pharmaceutical industry. And This is not
Joshyou're not going to be a billionaire
Erinjust, yeah. But we don't care. We want people to heal. We're not trying to get rich fast over. This is genuinely. It feels like our life's purpose. is why we're. here is to help people heal.
JoshYeah.
ErinAnd This journey. has, You know, brought people into our lives that we never would have met, but, you know, through, through the Lyme community and through all these other things, There are so many people suffering. like deeply suffering.
JoshI get multiple. People a day reaching out to me now. And I think. This journey was the only way that you and I were going to get here.
ErinI mean, of course. That's why I went to nursing school. I've always been kind of drawn to. Really like relieve, suffering. in whatever way that I can. And, you know, I just feel like my philosophy on health now. is a little different than it was and this fits so much better. But. Yeah. I just want people to be well, and to be free. We talk about that all the time. Not to be well, yeah. in a sense that we were right for from 2017 to 2021, where we would be well for two weeks. Or we would Be well, if we were. on this so strict
JoshYeah.
Erinlike, you know, just. hyper. analyzing everything We put into our bodies. That's not, healing. That is keeping a tsunami. At bay.
JoshYou're still in bondage.
ErinYou're still in bondage to it. So genuinely our goal. Is too. Help people heal and like goodbye. Go do your life. Don't even think about Rudy ever again. I mean, there is something to be said about using this as sort of like a maintenance, which that's kind of how we use it now. Yeah. You know, I get maybe a couple of scans a year just to like check in like how am I feeling? Or if I'm struggling with something after I got that last. cold and I had a sore throat for a few weeks, like, Yeah, I'll send an, a scan and see what's up. But Yeah. our goal is to cut people loose and. just go live your big, beautiful life and CLO.
JoshBut during, Yeah. Hold your hand. and build a community around it. It's. we did not have that. at all. And we were kind of just winging it. Yeah, we were learning on the go. And there's so many things now that we do know that. Can help the healing journey.
ErinYeah. for sure.
Joshwe don't want to. Just tell you what's wrong. And Then you go do it. We want to be a part of your healing journey. and make sure that you feel. Not only confident, but when you don't feel hope, We'll have hope for you and keep reminding you. of the growth that you've had. And I mean, We're at a point now in Rudy, where we're starting to see people heal. And. The beauty of it was that. Now they're going off and. doing their big things. And this is our big thing. Yeah. And I think we talk about this, we talk a lot about just being free. Right. And that could mean. You know, you can finally have a garden. To going to live in the big city, working for your dream tech company.
ErinYeah.
JoshFreedom is Going to look different. and each individual, And we just want you to get there. and you can't.
Erinwhen you're sick.
JoshNo, I couldn't have remotely even considered the idea of what freedom would look like for me. I couldn't have even defined it. I was so jaded anyways, that what would that look? like with chronic illness? It's, It's tough And you feel there's no hope in that. So.
ErinBabe. We've been talking about what question we should ask people.
Joshit.
ErinYeah. what? Yeah. What's freedom. Okay, great. What's freedom for you.
JoshAh, wow. So. We're probably gonna have to ask ourselves this a couple of times. In these podcasts. because I think it's going to evolve. I think Right now.
ErinYeah. What's freedom for you right now.
JoshI been. In this season of. feeling. Instead of thinking. And
ErinInteresting. Says the seven on the Enneagram. Wow.
Joshthank you. So. You know, like Dr. Joe Dispenza. or whatever, they, he talks about how your emotions. Determine your thoughts? Not your thoughts. determining emotions. And so.
ErinYeah. People think that goes the other direction. Which it does to some degree, but
Joshyeah, so right now I've been thinking about what abundance looks like. I feel when abundance. comes. And you're Feeling that. to your core, that is freedom. And I'm not talking about, I mean, Wealth and abundance is gray. Like that could be part of it for some people. But like, even in the mundane, just identifying abundance. and really sitting in that. I can't remember if he talks about it or somebody else about. When you are using your brain when you're thinking, instead of feeling. and your. In that materialistic. Life. Meaning materialistic versus the spiritual side of things. When you're in that materialistic, you're living in a state of lack. You constantly are thinking and seeing things that you don't have. And. With somebody like my. Creative brain. I can almost put myself in those situations. Which then as a result, I almost feel I could feel what it feels like to sit in that. Lamborghini. And then I come out of that consciousness. And I don't have it. I'm sitting in that state of lack.
Erinyou have black interesting.
JoshIf I can sit in the emotions of abundance. in my own spiritual sense. And recognize the abundance that is always existing around me. Instead of chasing. you're attracting.
ErinOh, cool.
Joshso. Right now, that's what I've been focused on. is that. Feeling of abundance is allowing me to have freedom.
ErinYeah.
JoshI don't feel like I'm chasing. as much anymore. Yeah. And. That's opened up a whole new flow for me the past. couple of months of what that looks like. in Rudy and what I actually want out of this. and where my goals are. And. Yeah, there's more contentment and peace. And genuine joy that exists inside of that. Whatever that looks like for each individual. However, you can get that peace and love and genuine joy. To me, that is freedom.
ErinYeah, that's beautiful. I love.
JoshHow about you? That's freedom.
Erinto me. Okay. I think. Freedom to me. A couple of things. but. to keep it brief. Freedom is living out of a space. Of curiosity. and Love or like the two kind of big ones for me, like, Curiosity, meaning open-mindedness this season that we're in right now. I wouldn't be here if I wasn't. open-minded and curious, and I wasn't for a long time, you. And. To have no. Walls. no. Limitations. on where I can go with my brain. Or am I thought, I just, I lived with a lot of barriers. you know, be it. Religious based or whatever. That kept me from. Turning over certain rocks. or thinking about certain things. So that feels like freedom. Big time. just being open-minded and curious. And always leading with love. For me, Recently it's been like. okay, is this whatever instinct it is? Is this out of fear or is this. out of love for myself, for the world, for the person sitting next to me, whatever. And if it's coming from fear, I don't want it. And if it's coming from love, that's
JoshYeah. Yeah.
ErinI guess that's the biggest one. The other thing I'm just, I've never lived in this state of flow before. I didn't. I mean, I guess I had experienced it, in a cross country race or something when I was just
Joshyeah.
Erinnot in my head. I don't know, but. It's incredible.
Joshyou're flow, babe.
ErinI'm. a nine on the Enneagram, So I do not have a lot of energy generally. My that inertia. like, it takes me So much to get moving. And then as soon as I start slowing down, I'm so tired. I just like the thought of building a business. Made me want to barf, Who wants to do that with their life? That is so much work.
JoshYeah. And I still
Erincan't really look too big picture. or it will Honestly, overwhelm me, but I'm finding that when you're doing the thing that, whatever you wanna call it, spirit lead you to whatever. whatever gets you in that flow state. I have more capacity. Like I have. It Opens me up. to do more. And as Soon as I switch out of that. Flow state into fear. Oh, no, like the weight of the world's on my shoulders. I have so many people that I need to heal. Okay. No, that's not on my plate.
JoshRight.
ErinThat's when I start to feel overwhelmed and. exhausted again, but then as soon as I switched into like, just flow. I don't know. It's it's been really
JoshOh, I love
Erinthis is how People live big lives. Like before. Just kind of wanted to I don't know, cook and clean.
Joshtotally. Oh, that's so good.
Erinhave to have some purpose. Backed with some life force is really
JoshHello.
ErinThanks. We're free.
JoshWe are free.
ErinYeah.
Joshthis is so good.
Erinthis is gonna be fun. But are we gonna talk about next?
JoshOh, man, we got a lot coming up. I were going to share a ton of, I mean, we're. Going to be talking about spirituality. We're going to be talking about different. Tools that we have found inside of this journey that have helped us heal and. Ways we didn't even know where possible. And Outside of bioenergetics breath work and. I mean, there's a lot of, energy stuff and.
ErinSaunas.
JoshYeah,
Erinrecently. Polar plunging. I can't believe you talked me into that.
JoshI know it's great.
Erinfor me
JoshYeah. It has been, so Yeah. So much, and then we're going to be bringing on people. And then. there's people that are healing now. through Rudy. I want to bring them on and hear what their freedom looks like. Sure. We have our story Thanks everyone for listening. But. I don't want it to just be coming from me. I want, I want people to hear. Other people's experiences through this and how. it's impacted them and What their journey has looked like. because. The cool thing about bioenergetics is it is bio-individual. And.
ErinThat's why it works.
JoshI agreed. And there is no umbrella protocol for this. And so somebody that may have the exact same things that I have had. May heal. and a different timeline and a different way in. It's. Yeah. It's beautiful. to see. So. Yeah, we got a, we got a lot coming up.
Erinshouting hope from the rooftops is our goal. We just Genuinely want to Help as many people heal. We are not the healers. You've got what you need already inside you to heal, but. We just want to help you unlock it, I guess.
Joshif bioenergetics, isn't your thing, great. I just want to support you in how. you want to heal. Yeah. Even if that's a slow journey I'm going to have hope for you. So. Yeah. this is going to be good. I'm stoked about it.
ErinI mean to
JoshFirst one done. Well y'all thanks for listening. This has been good.
ErinThanks mom.
JoshYeah. You made it all the way through. And go back to doing what you were doing before it is.
ErinLove you.
JoshBye.
