This week on '15 Minutes of Fame' we visit with Jerry Tolley, a 2011 North Carolina Sports Hall of Famer.

Jerry's journey in athletics began in Edenton where he was named the Most Outstanding Player of the 1960 State Championship Game.

He would later go on to play football and run track at East Carolina where he still holds numerous records.

After his playing career, Jerry was a successful football coach at Elon capturing multiple National Championships before retiring at the age of 39 to become an author and later the Mayor of Elon.
