Have you ever noticed that distractions often increase when you're close to finishing something important?

In Nehemiah 6, the wall of Jerusalem was almost complete when Nehemiah’s enemies tried a different strategy. After failing to stop the project through ridicule, threats, and opposition, they attempted to lure Nehemiah away from the work.

Their plan was simple: if they could distract the leader, the mission could collapse.

But Nehemiah discerned the trap and responded with clarity:

“I am doing a great work and I cannot come down.”

In this episode of Jola Speaks, we reflect on a powerful leadership lesson:
Sometimes the greatest threat to what God has called you to build is not opposition — it’s distraction.

You’ll learn:

  • Why distractions often appear when you’re close to completion
  • How Nehemiah discerned hidden opposition
  • Why leaders must protect their focus
  • The cost of entertaining distractions

This episode is for anyone building something meaningful — in leadership, business, ministry, or personal growth.
