This Week’s Energy Says One Word: Preserve
A single word lit up in the Akashic Records this week and reshaped our focus: preserve. Not as clinging or fear, but as an intimate practice of caring for what genuinely matters when life gets loud—joy, sanctuary, purpose, and the quiet essence that makes your days feel true. We walk through how that message arrived, from a jar of jelly to a life preserver, and use those images to ground a season that’s heavy with retrogrades, change, and inner second-guessing.
I share a simple way to run a values inventory that actually holds under pressure, then translate it into small, practical steps that protect your energy without numbing your heart. Think of yourself as the park ranger of your inner preserve: you check the perimeter, notice what’s creeping in, and tend the systems that keep your ecosystem healthy. We reframe the mundane—tidying, budgets, routines—as spiritual scaffolding that quietly safeguards the very qualities you love: peace, creativity, presence.
A timely Tarot pull, The World, rounds out the conversation. It’s the threshold between cycles, an invitation to honor what completed, carry forward the essence, and let the form evolve. I talk about shifting the podcast format as a living example of this: the core intention stays, the container adapts. If you’re standing in an in-between, this is a gentle map. Preserve what’s real, set a boundary where it leaks, and plant one seed for the next chapter.
If this resonates, follow the show, share it with a friend who needs steadiness right now, and leave a quick review. Your notes keep this work visible and help more hearts protect what matters most.
Tune in next week for a new episode to support and empower your light

Aloha, and welcome to Your Heart Magic, an illuminating space where psychology, spirituality, and heart wisdom meet. Here's your host, Dr. Bethane Kapansky Wright, author, psychologist, and spiritual educator.
SPEAKER_00:Aloha, everybody. Welcome to Your Heart Magic. This is Dr. Bethane Kapansky Wright, and we have an energy update today from the Akashic Records. And before I dive into that, I thought I would share that I took last week off from the podcast. I think some of you probably noticed. And if so, thank you for noticing and for tuning in. I appreciate it. I ran into a bit of a creative wall after a particularly busy five months of back-to-back projects. And I just had a place where no ideas were coming through. And I had a busy work week, and something that I'm learning as a creative, as an artist, and my own spiritual growth is that there are times to push through a sense of inertia inside of ourselves, and there's times to surrender and yield to it. And I know for myself that when I have a sense of hitting a wall and just having nothing that I feel like I have to say that it's time to take a step back. So I did take a step back last week, and that was really helpful. And I felt guided to shape the rest of the podcast for the remainder of the year, possibly into 2026. We'll see. And just do more of an energy update each week, share with you guidance from the Akashic Records, tie in a tarot card of the week, talk a little bit spirituality, and bring some hopefully grounded wisdom into that. So for this week, I have a mini energy update from the Akashic Records, which was really intriguing to me. I've been working with the Akashic Records for many years now, and I know they come through, at least for me, when I'm tapping into them and bringing messages through. Sometimes it will be direct words and a sense of writing it out or speaking it as I go if I'm doing a records reading for somebody. But I'll often see images, I'll have feelings around something. Sometimes images aren't always concrete. They might be a metaphor for something. And that's pretty typical when I'm working with the records. And so whenever I open them up for whatever topic it is that I'm diving into, I always get a starting image as a landing point. Often I'll get several images happening at once that give shape to whatever it is the records want me to know. And that is usually when a word or two starts to come through. And I often think of that for me as like my landing pad. Like if I was in a helicopter and I was looking for that place to land my copter down. That's a little bit how it feels. So the starting place that was very intriguing to me for the weekly energy update, the first thing I saw was a little jar of jelly. And it was focusing on like the gelatin aspect, like the preserves, jam preserves. And then I actually saw a life preserver. And then I also saw the word preserve. And that came through like a big old bold lit up word in my mind. And that was the focus of the energy for this week. The key word that we are working with right now energetically is the word preserve. And what the records mean by that is this is a really good time to think about what holds value to us. What in our life do we want to preserve, to set aside for ourselves, to take good care of, to make sure that we stay in integrity with the essence of whatever it is that holds dear to our heart, to our dreams, to our family lives, our home life, whatever it is that we might resonate with when we think about our personal values. And that might be many different things for many people, though I would guess for many of us that it has to do with things that are close to our heart, things having to do with our personal relationships, perhaps our personal passions and sense of mission or calling, how we might feel called to serve in the world. Things like joy or creativity or personal values, beauty, appreciation, gratitude, wellness, authenticity, those kinds of words that many of us might resonate with and say, yes, this is something that holds a lot of meaning for me and my path. And these are values that I try and encompass myself by. And the records gave us the invitation that there is so much that's changing in the collective at this time. There's so much energy going on. I know from an astrological and planetary perspective, there's been a lot happening astrologically. Mercury's in retrograde. I believe Jupiter is going into retrograde later this month. Uranus, I think, is in retrograde. There's a lot happening planet-wise. And between all the shifting energies, it's very easy for us to get lost in questioning ourselves, going in many directions at once in our mind, questioning our past. And so we are invited to think about bringing it back to what we value, doing inventory around that, and then asking ourselves what steps might we want to take in order to take good care of our values at this time, to remain in integrity to those. The records encouraged us to think about both the practical and the spiritual. As spiritual beings and idea people, many of us have a huge sense of possibilities. Creative people like to create. And as much as we are always encouraged to let our imagination expand, to hold those bigger visions, we are invited to come back to what do we need to do in a practical way to anchor and take care of what we have right now. So I love this word picture that the records gave us. It was a metaphor of a park ranger who is perhaps a ranger on a huge vast land, maybe one of the national forests or preserves or something like that, where there's a lot of acreage and mileage to it. And when a ranger might do their job, they go and they check the perimeter. They might check on different things happening within the ecosystem of many ecosystems within the park. They are making sure that things are healthy, that things are as they should be, that the area is protected, that there's not some form of interloper or uninvited species or something like that going on. I'm obviously not a park ranger, so I might not quite have the right language for all of this, but I think you probably understand the metaphor and how that might translate to our life and checking the perimeter of our own life, looking at the things that support us, looking at the foundational pieces and asking ourselves, what do I need to do to take good care of this? What do I need to do to preserve the energy of this? If I say that joy is one of my core values, how do I preserve joy? If I say that my home and creating a sense of sanctuary is a core value, what do I need to do right now to have a sense of preservation and caretaking around that? If my spiritual work or my sense of calling, of sharing my light is one of my values, then what do I need to do to stay in my integrity on that and again to preserve it? So this is an interesting word. And as I said, I've worked with the records for a lot of years and I'm used to certain kinds of guidance coming through. They might phrase it differently, but I'm not sure that I've ever had a message that's actually used the word preserve before. So I was really intrigued by that. And as the records always do, they kind of build on one another with the story. So even though I'll be doing weekly energy updates, and each one might be distinct from the next, I have found that the records do not give us an energy update that is in isolation for just one week. It usually weaves into what's just happening and what is going to be happening. And anytime we're given guidance, I think about it as a book of the collective that's being written as it goes. And so this is this collective energy guidance for the week ahead and a way to focus our energies at this time as we move into the new moon, as we move into the second half of November. But obviously, this is timeless guidance whenever you might hear this message. There's just extra good energy right now for coming back to a place of values. And the last piece of wisdom that we were given is that we were encouraged to look at ordinary practices, things that might seem kind of mundane, things that might be really routine and are just part of what I think of as earth life, just humaning and doing the day-to-day, but to also look at that as a way that we might be preserving our values. We do those things, hopefully, because they contribute to creating something that somehow benefits what it is that we hold dear to our hearts. They create some form of revenue, they might keep a system going in our life. Cleaning a house or keeping things tidy might not always be fun. But if we're working on having a peaceful existence, maybe it contributes to that by keeping our space really peaceful. And so looking at the mundane and seeing how it actually might contribute to those values and to the things that you hold dear is a really helpful reframe right now that feels like it brings a burst of fresh energy into some of the day-to-day. So I drew a card today, a card of the week, and it's not the card I expected to get. I thought we would get a really different kind of card given the Akashic message. But the card that I got, and this is from the Good Tarot deck by Callet Baron Reed, was actually card 21, the world. And in the tarot, this card is usually a culmination. It's a time of coming to completion of a cycle and assessing where we've been and getting ready to not only release and celebrate that, but also turn around and plant some new seeds. So I do feel like this card ties into the overall energy right now as we start the descent into the last month and a half of the calendar year and get prepared to go into a new year. But I also feel like this card probably speaks to what many of us might be feeling at this time, and that is old cycles, old ways of being, and releasing those and feeling like maybe we're stepping into something new or creating something new, but we're not quite there yet. So we're in this in-between time. And the world is a chance to assess, to celebrate, to evaluate, and to think about as you keep moving forward, what do you want to preserve? What holds value to you that you want to take with you, even if it might change in form? Maybe you want to carry the essence with you. Like this podcast, I am changing the form. I am doing something a little bit different with just setting an intention to do some weekly energy updates for a while. But the intention of this podcast of sharing wisdom, talking about spirituality, psychologically well-being, talking about our heart magic. I'm taking the essence of that forward with this. I'm just allowing the form to shift a little bit. And so that is my way of preserving what I value, even as I allow things to evolve. So I'll close with this message today. That is from the Good Tarot booklet on the world. This is our affirmation. I've been called to shift my perspective on my life now. When I remember I am first and foremost an immortal soul, experiencing life as a human being, I have no fear. I can see clearly that I am a powerful co-creator and a divine partnership with spirit, aligning myself with spirit, remaining unattached to outcomes. I am a conduit for miracles. And so it is. All right, everybody. I will be back next week with an all-new your heart magic. Thank you so much for joining me today on the podcast. And as always, have a beautiful week. Be well, be love, be you, and be magic.
