Episode 61: ReesaTeesa2 - Is it the Chuuch or the The Men?

We stay with the story of ReesaTeesa this week, simply because there are many #ubw who are in a ReesaTessa tale right now, however, their stories are not magnified on the interwebs for all the world to provide commentary. ReesaTeesa is a #ubw avatar for how we are trained (or rather not trained) to relationship with men. Our training (or lack thereof) rests on concepts of being a virtuous, pure, Christian Woman who pleases God by living her life in a manner that would be pleasing to her HUSBAND. Thus, if the pinnacle of the good, Christian Black Woman is one that lives for her HUSBAND, living with men who are not HUSBANDS, or having children with men who are not HUSBANDS, is judged, hence, what is a #ubw to do? Marry a crazy n*gga, to avoid  judgement and condemnation from the CHUUCH, and have the world captivated by a story that is more common than we will allow ourselves to admit. The s*it I went through (and I am still going through) with my ex-husband, could fill a whole book, movie, and television series. Sis, have you asked yourself,  is it possible that we will soon get to watch your story?
