SPEAKER_04Oh dude, all the things you're gonna go and both buy a WRAP. I'll sprinkle fire up.
SPEAKER_03And she's like, no. No. This is 177. Our family 177. Yo, welcome back to the True Gun Podcast. Toad, yum yum, double yum, and Jeff Tato party. Hey, suck it, Chris. We got Jeff in here before you. So how's that? No?
SPEAKER_02Okay.
SPEAKER_03Alright.
SPEAKER_04I'm super stoked.
SPEAKER_03Super stoked.
SPEAKER_04How much of a heads up did you have, Jeff? 13 minutes. 13 minutes. That's some good response time. Yeah. Yeah. That's quick. That's like first responder.
SPEAKER_03He originally denied me. I did. So he played a little, you know, like tease me.
SPEAKER_04I was going to pick up my little sister.
SPEAKER_03What are the kids call that?
SPEAKER_04Then you're like, nah, you're good. You don't need to ride.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Well, and then, you know, I got home. And then, because she's going to stay the night with us. And then my wife was even getting the kids in the bath, and I'm like, you know what? I'm going to see what Ori's doing. Heck yeah. Um, I I do feel really bad about that in case she listens to it. Yeah. She won't.
SPEAKER_03Maybe.
SPEAKER_02You don't feel bad. We know.
SPEAKER_03Is this the sister that my daughter wants to be friends with every day now?
SPEAKER_02With probably Juno.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. Yeah. She my daughter went and hung out with her his little sister one time, and then it's like, Can I play with Juno? Can I play with Juno? Like every day. I'm like, I I don't know. You met her once. Nice.
SPEAKER_02Sometimes that's all it takes. Yeah. You know, boom. Yeah, friends for life, you know. Yeah. You know, I couldn't help but notice Lori in the intro there Lil was making fun of you for buying a WR. I I have a WR. Is that like a bad thing?
SPEAKER_03No. So I did not buy a WR. My little brother bought me a WR. And the backstory of that was when my brother bought it, I sent William a Snapchat and I said impulse buy. And he's like, You just bought a W. Like, he yeah, you're an idiot. You didn't even do any research. But Tristan like researched it, and that's like his kind of bike. I think Williams, like, dude, that's not you. Yeah. You know what I mean? Like a WR is you.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Right? Yeah. It's just a 250 though. Don't get too excited. Nice. Revit to the moon. Do you like it? I do. I actually really enjoy it. It I'm extremely inexperienced, so it it fits me well. Nice. Now just burn that thing down the road?
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_02That's sweet.
SPEAKER_03Now I'm low-key trying to go on the spoys trip that he goes on every year.
SPEAKER_02That's I I ride it once a year.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_03Hey, some some things we have for one time, yeah, once a year. So it's it's you, Casey Marshall, Austin Hort. Oh, Wade.
SPEAKER_02And Waders.
SPEAKER_03Wade?
SPEAKER_04Oh, okay. I've heard about this. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Yep. Go up the I remember Beaver Mountain, but apparently it's that's not Beaver Mountains. It's the mountains above Beaver. Oh. The mountains above. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03All right, cool. And so uh what what is that trail system?
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Paiute. The Paiute trail. Yeah, yeah, yeah. And you guys go cruise that, right? Oh yeah, that's awesome. Casey knows it like the back of his hand. Nice. Casey knows everything. He's still smart. It's crazy. He just I just follow them and hope hope to keep up. Yeah. Nice. Which they have. Casey's got the th 300. Kate Casey and Wade have the same bike. Yep. And Austin has a KTM 300. Two stroke. Two-stroke. Okay, so you guys are all kind of on Enduros and then Austin's on that one. Yeah. Yeah. He street legaled it. That's actually a funny story. He had that beta 500, you know, forced him fast bike. And it was too much bike for him. So he sold it to get the KTM 300 two-stroke.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. Oh. No, he did tell me that today.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. I forgot he had the beta though.
SPEAKER_00Nice.
unknownNice.
SPEAKER_03I was gonna ask you. Oh William. Yeah. Was Jeff in your wedding?
SPEAKER_04No. Or was William. You were there? I mean, I'm sure you were there. We only had two grooms been too. Yeah. Yeah. You were in mine. Yeah. And I was in Blake's. Oh, that's what it was. Yeah. We were both at Blake's. Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03No, that's cool.
SPEAKER_02I don't think so. I don't I don't remember Ori any of them, really. Dude, Ori was going through.
SPEAKER_03That was a wild time. Yeah. Yeah. And I got married pretty quickly.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. Some wild stuff.
SPEAKER_02Did you go to his wedding? Do you remember? I did not. Oh no.
SPEAKER_04No.
SPEAKER_02That's uh I only do the things that Jesse does. Like, if it wasn't for her, I would do nothing. Other than ride turf bikes with my friends once a year. Once a year.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. Yeah. Wow. There you go. Yeah. Dude, we had Jeff's wedding was actually pretty sweet. We had a good time.
SPEAKER_03I wish I could go back in time and redo mine.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Not at the church.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. Yeah. And I don't know. Well, I guess we did. Well, it's I mean, the the father of the bride is supposed to pay for that, right? Or something. I don't know. Taiwan Kevin. So Kevin's like, free church.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, we're going here. Yeah. Dude, we spent like $2,000 on our entire wedding, including Jesse's dress. Oh wow. Jeez. Yeah. That's church life, you know?
SPEAKER_00Yeah. Yeah. Yeah.
SPEAKER_04I have no idea how much.
SPEAKER_00Oh.
SPEAKER_04Dude, I a long time ago I had that 14 years ago.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, I had that white F-150. And of course, everyone drew wieners all over it. Oh, yeah. Let me see. And there was a the moonroof, right? And I think Casey drew a wiener on it, and it was there until I sold it. Yeah, yes. Yeah, I had it for a few years, and I it must have been a nice one. It was it was Casey's size.
SPEAKER_04Whoa. So it was I'm pretty sure you guys drew on my truck. You guys, I think you did. I think you did a real good job. Like anything profanity. No, no, no, no. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Like Dunn got hitched or something across the back or something.
SPEAKER_02Sounds like some Jesse would do.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, it was cool. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Nice.
SPEAKER_02I know that I bought a set of those truck nuts to put on Blake's truck when he got married. Yes. I don't think they lasted long. I don't think they made it out of the parking lot, to be honest. I don't think Blake's offended about that. Nuts have lasted long.
SPEAKER_03Oh, speaking of Blake.
SPEAKER_02Blake.
SPEAKER_03I already should blame this. But look at this photo, Jeff. Tell me who that is. Can you blake? Can you believe that Blake came out of that man's ball sack?
SPEAKER_02Whoa. The dude with the mullet?
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Whoa.
SPEAKER_03I was bored at the mind today. And they had like a like a yearbook. A little weird. Nice. Yeah. Anyways. Thunder Valley happened today. Is that what happened? Yeah, a lot of a lot happened with over the weekend. Jeff, have have you watched the dirtbike series at all?
SPEAKER_02I watched that one where that when feller won the championship with you.
SPEAKER_03Yep.
SPEAKER_02And then what was it? The oh did he invite you over to watch it? No, we were at Casey's. Oh, okay. His birthday?
SPEAKER_03No. No, it was just a a D D night.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Nice.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_02And then on the 1st of May, I watched uh Degan's debut. I watched that one. That was actually pretty cool. 450. Did you see us on TV? I did not. Dang it. No, I was actually super bummed because like that's the most super or that's be motocross didn't. That's the most I've ever watched. Apparently, you guys were on, anyway.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_03That's awesome. I was I was dressed as Team Jorge and William was dressed as Eli Tomac.
SPEAKER_04Apparently.
SPEAKER_03Apparently. Per the comments.
SPEAKER_04Yep. Per the comments.
SPEAKER_03If if you knew what Eli looked like, William is him.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. If I just ship my tooth.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. Yeah. This guy, he won, he won Daytona and he went to lift up the trophy. And it was like a little dirt bike guy on the trophy. Broke. Smacked him. Smacked his tooth. He hasn't won since. Well, he won the next week.
SPEAKER_04It's been just downhill. Yeah, dude.
SPEAKER_03He's been wrecking ever since.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. Dude, speaking of wrecking. So Presday, Sexton. Ooh, dude, that was a big one.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, dude. I I gotta find that for Jeff, but I I don't know how he got up.
SPEAKER_04Dude, I wouldn't have got up. Yeah. It uh so he goes to jump with a big old jump, and then it like his front tire just dips, and you can see him about halfway, like panic and like, oh whoa, you know, do a little wiggle-wiggle, like maybe trying to pull the front end up, and then just steps through the bars and just it's kind of funny. Some of the things on Instagram. I've seen that was a much better catch.
SPEAKER_02You guys are getting it down. You know, I actually just saw this on Instagram today. Yeah. I don't know who anybody is, so I just I see the the fun ones.
SPEAKER_01The fun ones.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, so that was fun for him.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Okay, so they're saying some guys on the internet are saying that he like the bike stalled. He like hit the back brake to like square it up, you know, and the bike shut off, and that's what happened.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, you gotta pull in the clutch.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, so like he didn't that would have been his fault, right? Yes, because I did see it from the back side and the bike rot, no problem. And so, and then all of a sudden, just catastrophic.
SPEAKER_03So, fun fact, when we're when we started riding with our our buddy JE513, Justin Aberling, uh-huh, he was like, How do you guys hit the back brake up in the air? Right? And I'm like, What do you mean? And he's like, I was like, I you pull in the clutch, tap the back brake, and brings the front end down. Pull in the clutch, like, yeah, or the bike would shut off. He's like, Oh, I always thought that you jumped, hit the back brake, the bike stopped, and then it just started again.
SPEAKER_04I mean, when you mess up and you like when you landed, it's Justin.
SPEAKER_03You've been riding dirt bikes your entire life.
SPEAKER_04That's right.
SPEAKER_03And he's gonna deny this story. Yeah, he's gonna deny it. But this was this was a conversation that we had.
SPEAKER_04That is pathetic. Yeah. So, and then did you see Chase's post?
SPEAKER_03Oh, yeah. What what did what was his words exactly? Yeah, let me read it to you because it's felt like he was just a rider, right?
SPEAKER_04A passenger.
SPEAKER_03A passenger. Okay, well, not a great day. Knee feels cooked, but we will get it checked out when I get home. Incident was out of my control, and feel like and feeling like a passenger was very scary. I dude, I'm just very lucky to be somewhat okay, and the man above was looking over me. Thanks for the messages, checking in means a lot.
SPEAKER_02Bro, this man's a professional? Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Okay. He's very good. He's a very good dirt bike rider.
SPEAKER_04He's been having a rough little rough.
SPEAKER_03He's a head case.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, dude. That's too bad. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03It is because dude, Garrett Marchbanks looked great on the bike today. Top 10 all day. I was I was very I was very impressed.
SPEAKER_04The little bit we saw him on screen, the bike looked great. Well, it looked like it was set up. It looked stable and he was yeah, he was right there with Jorge and those guys riding.
SPEAKER_03That's what he was trying to, he was kind of pressing Jorge a little bit.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_03No, I was I was super impressed, super impressed. Shut up.
SPEAKER_04With old Marshbanks.
SPEAKER_03Yes.
SPEAKER_04Now, a little bit of light has been shed on last week's situation where he comes in after not doing what he thought was good in the moto, I think it was a sixth, and he ghost rides his bike into this pit, right? Super disrespectful, right? Like, dude, everybody's on that team working on this bike, like whatever. So apparently, his teammate, Garrett Marchbanks, who we're talking about here, who is definitely the B rider on the team, he I guess apparently he calls Sexton a pussy. Oh wow. And like, you know, like, dude, you shouldn't be, and they get into it, and then sexton dad steps in and like so he calls him that. Yeah, to his face. Oh, that's what Blair said.
SPEAKER_03Heck yeah.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. It's like, dude, good. So then he goes that's a big boy, dude. Yeah, yeah. He looks like me.
SPEAKER_03But with muscles. Oh yeah, hold on, we'll get there. We'll get there. We'll get there. Pause. There it but like, yeah.
SPEAKER_04So this is just Chase. That's how bad he doesn't want to be on that team. He's just like, you know what, dude? I'm just gonna suicide off this freaking yeah. I'm just I'm gonna step through the bars and see what happens.
SPEAKER_03But I mean Have you ever either one of you gone off a jump and bailed the bike? I've I don't think I've ever bailed the bike midair like that.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, no. I've always I definitely I've landed every jump I've I've hit, you know.
SPEAKER_03Now, if the front end was dipping like that, uh maybe, but I think every time I like I've got a kicker, I've just you know I've I was along for the ride. And and I'm just a passenger, yeah, just a passenger.
SPEAKER_01Jesus take the wheel.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, like yeah. No, oh geez. So I don't know, dude. Like, and then did you did you hear the Lewis Phillips? It's like, hey, I heard you ghost road your bike in, like, tell us about it.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, I think I sent that to you guys and then I got nothing. So I was like, all right, cool.
SPEAKER_04And then, dude, it took me a minute to watch it, but Chase was kind of a tool.
SPEAKER_03Oh, yeah, he was douchey about it. Yeah, like attitude and what do you mean?
SPEAKER_04Yeah, yeah, like you're I mean, like he's fine, yeah, just very nonchalant. Like, yeah, what do you yeah, I don't know. Unimpressed is what I have to say.
SPEAKER_03No, dude, and I don't I've never heard his dad in an interview, but do you think like his dad's like in his ear saying, hey, you're you're better than the man. Yeah, you're better. Oh yeah, oh yeah, 100%.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Yep.
SPEAKER_03Because I've kind of heard talks about that this week through the podcast that I've listened to, but I've never listened to his dad or anything like that.
SPEAKER_04So I never have either. I don't know what it, yeah, nothing about him, but I don't know if it's a good a good gig. Do we see him back on a cowie? Or did he just do his ACL, he's out for the rest of the year?
SPEAKER_03And so for context, Jeff.
SPEAKER_04Gone. That's it.
SPEAKER_03This guy he he's won some 250 championships on a Honda.
SPEAKER_02Okay.
SPEAKER_03Moves up to Honda, wins the Supcross Championship, does really good. Like he starts racing for Honda. Mm-hmm. Okay. These two brothers move up after the 450s and they're they're doing better than him. And so Honda wants to keep him, Chase, because he's really good. He says, No, no, no, I can't share the limelight kind of thing. Deal. Goes to KTM. He's he's riding KTM. First year, like he's learning the bike, but he still wins a lot of races. Still does really good. Second year, I think he won the maybe the superclasses. No, no, no, no. Well, yeah, wins several super crosses, but I think his first year in outdoors, he won the championship, right?
SPEAKER_04Yeah, there it is.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, so wins a championship with KTM. The whole time he's blaming the bike, blaming the bike. He did the same thing.
SPEAKER_04No, dude, he would win and be like, dude, this bike is unrideable. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Dude, what are you talking about? You just won.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, that's the champion.
SPEAKER_03And he even on uh Honda, he would tuck the front end, blame it on the Honda. So everyone, like tuck the front. All of us were like, man, the Honda sucks. Get off the Honda ride it. Then he gets on to KTM and he starts doing the same thing. And everyone's like, oh no, it's a it's a you thing, not a bike thing. Yeah. So he he wins the championship, doesn't like the bike, bike sucks. There's a guy on Kawasaki that comes over from Europe, and that guy's saying the Kawasaki sucks. He's done a three-year deal. He gets out of that deal, goes to KTM.
SPEAKER_04After one year, yeah.
SPEAKER_03After one year. Chase goes from KTM to Kawasaki thinking, hey, he's gonna be the man. He signs a three-year deal. This is his first year, and it's he's he won two supercross races.
SPEAKER_04But looks really good on the bike.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, looks good, but blames everything anytime he has any little like a bad night, blames the bike, blames his team, and then he won won two races. Looks uh okay on the bike. The bike looks fine. I don't know.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Super annoying.
SPEAKER_02What's he is he blaming the bikes because he wants to be on something else, or like he's just he everyone says he's chasing a feeling on a bike that's never gonna like he's just not taking any accountability.
SPEAKER_03Like, dude, it you've been on three different brands now, and you're having the same, yes, you're they're all having the same. Yeah, yeah. So if we all see it, so homeboy is if he would just say, you know what, I need to get better, everyone would respect him more, right?
SPEAKER_02Yeah, yeah. And he so he needs to get better than winning, right?
SPEAKER_03Like, dude, you're already good. Just yeah, but when he has like a bad night, which is like a fifth place, he freaks out really and throws a fit, like he'll throw his bike on the side of the track and cry on the side. Like, look, no, he's like visibly crying sometimes. Well, at least last year on the KTM, right?
SPEAKER_04Yeah, wow.
SPEAKER_03He made it a half a lap in the outdoors and yeah, sat and moped on the side of the track when he wrecked like a child. Yeah. He is America's Prado. He is Team Chase.
SPEAKER_04So that's not a team we're on.
SPEAKER_03No.
SPEAKER_04You got anybody at work or anybody who like doesn't take ownership? Don't say their name, but Chris.
SPEAKER_02No, nothing I can think of.
SPEAKER_04Like, oh, dude, that's just the worst. It's like he's a podcast.
SPEAKER_03Just say sorry.
SPEAKER_04If it does.
SPEAKER_03Well, I send him the link. If he doesn't listen, all right. I'm gonna give it a taste test, right? I'm gonna give about three weeks, and I if he hasn't said anything and I'm talking all the smack, I'm gonna call him out. Yeah, no, bro, no, no, I've been listening. Okay. Okay.
SPEAKER_02Has he ever told you that he listens? Yeah, he's his old neighbor Chris. Yeah, oh cool. Chris Canali. Yeah, Kelly any now. Yeah, I work with him at the uh landfill. Yeah, I think. Good guy. Love him.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, yeah. And so also work with another co-worker. Or you work with another co-worker.
SPEAKER_02I'll tell you about later. Going down the street.
SPEAKER_03That way.
SPEAKER_02Okay. Oh, the one that you've had contact with recently?
SPEAKER_03No, no, no, no, no. Well, not recent. Okay, anyways, moving on.
SPEAKER_04Okay, before we get off the chasing a little bit. So Chase comes in the pits, flies in there, Garrett calls him a pussy. Who's winning in a fight between Chase and Garrett?
SPEAKER_03Garrett.
SPEAKER_04Really?
SPEAKER_03I mean, like, Chase is an amazing athlete and like built, right? He's a big dude. But Garrett's like I feel like Garrett's been punched in the face before. You know, like he's been in a fight.
SPEAKER_04He's like a farm boy from Utah. Yeah, like out in Colville. Like, he's yeah, just Garrett wouldn't even punch him.
SPEAKER_03He'd just give him an open hand slap. And and Jason's gonna cry. Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Oh, nice.
SPEAKER_03I feel like we have something.
SPEAKER_00Maybe. Not that one.
SPEAKER_04That's what you were gonna put. You got it's totally safe. Don't you need a helmet? Whatever.
SPEAKER_03I felt like there was a ooh. No. No. Anyways. Alright, moving on.
SPEAKER_04Alright. Who do you want to talk about? You want to talk about the winner? You want to talk about kid that got docked? You want to talk about these random people?
SPEAKER_03Let's talk about these random people because I am a fan.
SPEAKER_04Oh my god. Hey, guess what? They won.
SPEAKER_03Oh, or he's a super fan.
SPEAKER_04Out of nowhere. Okay. Whoa, who would have thought?
unknownFuck you.
SPEAKER_03Hold on, hold on. I gotta draw for that one for sure. Wow, fuck. Wow, fuck you. Alright, so.
SPEAKER_04If anybody ever does good, he's just on the band. Yeah, okay. Okay, no hardcore. Whatever. You know. Yeah. I'm appreciating the choir here.
SPEAKER_03Because they come over, unlike Jorge Prado. They're they're from Belgium.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Whoa, you gotta rock. I'm telling you, they're twins. 19 years old. There's a small one and a tall one.
SPEAKER_04It's funny, they're twins, they don't look nothing alike.
SPEAKER_03No. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Not even the same size?
SPEAKER_04No.
SPEAKER_03No, one's huge, one's like a little big guy.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, two different dads. Right, right, right. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Um. Anyways, I guess they dude, listening to their story, and Emily's gonna be all over me about this.
SPEAKER_04Okay, why? Because you don't have the histories, right? Correct. But all you gotta do is do a little bit of research before the pod.
SPEAKER_03But we we're going to distracted. No, but like listening to their story, they watched Moto over here and then didn't even realize that there was an Amex GP over in Europe. Oh, really? Yeah. This is on the broadcast. Yeah. At least what JT is saying. Nice. And oh, we could race here. Yeah, that was exactly what happened and started racing.
SPEAKER_04We should hit one of these.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. And that their whole intentions have been to come over here, and they're like. Humble. They're not Chase Sexton. You know, they're not Jorge Prado, where we we win every time. He's from Spain or um, not racial. Yeah. And dude, they're like shaking hands. And what is it? Sasha, the little one. The 250. Yeah. On the 250. He's just smiley. You know, he's just happy to be here. And he comes here, goes 14-1.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Right. And so the first moto he goes 14. I didn't watch it.
SPEAKER_04I think he wrecked three times.
SPEAKER_03Okay. I didn't watch the first one.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. On the first lap, he was down. It's like, oh, there went that dude. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03But comes back to 14th.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_03No, I'll take it.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_03The second one gets a whole shot, leads every lap. But what was funny was on the podium, he gets up there, he's yeah, thank you guys. Whatever. Walking down the off the podium. I think it's De Francisco's first ever outdoor podium. Oh really? Gives him a whole tap on the shoulder, like, hey, good job, buddy. And I was like, hell yeah, that's like he didn't mean it to be rude, but I was like, dude, that was a power move.
SPEAKER_04Welcome. It's my first date. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03And his the the the big one beat old George.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, oh yeah.
SPEAKER_03And AP. And like, dude, bring him over.
SPEAKER_04Like, dude, he was that first moto, he was closing in on Jet. If we would have had two more laps, dude, I think had a problem.
SPEAKER_03Yes, they came over, and I'm a bandwagoner. But you're not you're that that didn't make you a fan a little bit.
SPEAKER_04Oh, yeah, no, it was super cool. Yeah, yeah. No, and it was cool, like the retro gear they're wearing for DeCoster. Like, that's cool. Like, and I'm really impressed because over there in Europe, I mean, they're racing different types of motorcycles. I mean, it's a KTM, but it's it's on a different level, right? Like, they can do all kinds of stuff. They come over here, never rode over here, the dirt's different, everything's different, and they're just like, Oh, all right. So, we talked about this before, but I thought that they were gonna like kind of suck, dip a toe in, you know. Oh, let's try this American series. And you're like, nah, dude, they're just gonna send it. I was like, No, they're they're leading the MXGPs in both of their classes, and wow, yeah. And so it's like, do you get a lot to lose if you come over here and weed it up? And or it's like, you remember you in 19? Like, they're just gonna send it. I'm like, all right. I didn't think they were gonna send it this hard. Every all all the podcasts this week are just like, oh, the Coonin brothers are just like gonna do so good. And it's like, okay, like I put him in fifth, you know. I thought it was being generous.
SPEAKER_03No, I I did the same thing.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, dude, he did yeah, second. Blowing it away. Yeah, he did really good. That's good. And he gave a lot of props to Jet. I mean, he was like yeah, I think he said twice or three times. He's the best, yeah.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, in the world.
SPEAKER_04In the world, yeah.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, and he's where and he's racing the World Series, yeah.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, so he would know. Yeah, yeah. Okay, we can't talk about this too much without bringing up something from May 22nd, 19, or sorry.
SPEAKER_03Night from the 25th, 1900s.
SPEAKER_04So, yeah, just over a year ago. All right, let's see what this plays.
SPEAKER_05They're both KTM Husky Riders, KK. For this season. For this, no, this is future. Oh, you want to go down a rabbit hole.
SPEAKER_03Ethereum, yes. I want to go down the rabbit hole. Yep.
SPEAKER_05You you want to go down the rabbit hole. We got two twin brothers, Sasha and Lucas Kuhnin in Europe. Okay. They're both KTM husky riders, KK.
SPEAKER_04For this season, or he's cutting them off like always. Oh, you want to go down a rabbit hole.
SPEAKER_05These these guys, they're gonna be you're gonna you're gonna see in a couple years. These are gonna be the next Lawrence's. This is a year ago he said this. They're gonna be the next Lawrences. If if if Geyser's out there, which nobody knows, if they don't they act like they don't want to sign them to a multi-year deal, and those two go to factory Honda in Europe like the Lawrences did, uh you could see them in three, four years. That's that's a that's a hot tip.
SPEAKER_03Is that what dude? They don't get out.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, so, anyways, Justin foresaw this over a year ago, and here's our first little tip. So, you have anything nice to say about Justin or do Justin?
SPEAKER_00Or I'm coming, I'm coming, I'm coming.
SPEAKER_03Um You know what, Justin? Once in a while, every dog has its day. That's right. Yeah, no, gotta give it up, Justin.
SPEAKER_04Why? Where's the applause one?
SPEAKER_03No, no, no. All right, I guess stop with the drops and it's annoying me. You were Twitter, it'd be cooler. It would be quicker if I would actually sit down. Oh, it's my side? No, no, no, no, no, no. It's I need to take the time to actually make the drop where we could talk over the drop instead of having the delay, but I'm lazy and I haven't done it. And this podcast is just for fun.
SPEAKER_04So you are holding us back. I have a serious media outlet. It could be more than just for fun. But dude, put in a little effort. It would be. Do a little bit of research.
SPEAKER_03I got the uh old school monster, zero monster. I'm yeah, it's kicking in.
SPEAKER_02It's kicking in.
SPEAKER_03It's kicking in.
SPEAKER_02Having a good time.
SPEAKER_03No, I'm sweating.
SPEAKER_02Oh, yeah. I mean, are you guys hot? I'm overweight, so I always oh my gosh.
SPEAKER_04Pause it for two seconds and I'll turn that air on.
SPEAKER_03Moving on to the 38.
SPEAKER_04Oh, the 38.
SPEAKER_03The 38. You know, so I saw a stat that if he were to lose both motos today, he is now tied with Jet on the amount of losses that Jet has. Total.
SPEAKER_04Yikes. Yeah, so I think this is his third race.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. But like I I think motos. So what is it? Uh I could be wrong. He's won 20.
SPEAKER_04I don't even know. 26 out of 30, I thought that he that jet has won.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, which is insane.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. Did you put him in your fantasies first for first? Yes. Yeah, you have to. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Like for context, this guy broke his talus. It's in your head.
SPEAKER_04Okay.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, and got it pinned and all kinds of stuff. And it's and it's like a slow growing bone, or like not a lot of blood supply. And he's only been off for what three months? And he's back on the bike, and everyone's like, oh, I don't know. And then he comes back and he just wins.
SPEAKER_02There's Degan.
SPEAKER_03No, no, no. Jet Jet Lawrence.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, he limps super hard. But only on the ramp.
SPEAKER_03I heard a theory in the comments that he's doing it on purpose.
SPEAKER_04Lean into it a little bit.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, like, oh, it hurts, you know.
SPEAKER_04And then he just starts running. It's like that dude who parks in the handicapped spot and then like milks it and then.
SPEAKER_03Alright. Oh, yeah. I'm gonna go full broadcast on Jet right now. Okay. Do it. Full uh. Do it. Derek, I'm sorry. But I you know, you know, Jet's doing really good. So of course Ori's gotta glaze him a little bit, right? When he first came up to the 450s, I was like, dude, I don't like this guy. He was a little bit arrogant, you know, kind of like a chase in a way. And now he got hurt, he got humbled, right? But he's still really he's always been good. It's always been really amazing. But his interviews lately have been so I don't know, like I I like yeah, very, very good. Oh, all right. So you got Hayden Deegan that's coming up and talking crap. He dominated the 250s, right? And he comes with the 450s and he wears this shirt that says R.I.P. Jet and all this other crap and says I heart Dylan, which is Jet's girlfriend.
SPEAKER_02Okay.
SPEAKER_03How how would you like it? Me and you have beef, right? And I put iHeartJesse on my shirt. You didn't you're gonna be a problem. Yeah, yeah, yeah. What I like about it is he does not acknowledge it at all. At all. And and there's this there's this one Instagram little girl, she's like 14, goes around and interviews writers. And she's been the first one to ask him about it. Oh, really? About, hey, what's the rivalry like between you and the 250 champion? What hey Degan, that's moved up. And he says, Oh, I don't think there's really a rivalry. I just like to focus on myself. And I I thought that was such a you know, another power move. Oh, yeah. Just like I screw you. And then she even asked him something else. Like, no, I'm just, you know, I'm just trying to heal my my my foot and I just want to, I just want to go out and win. Like, doesn't even acknowledge Degan. I'm like, hell yeah. And so now that that little girl asked that question, Johnny Hopper finally asked that question, of course, and then he gives the same answer. Yeah, you know, yeah. I'm like, why hasn't anyone else asked him this? Yeah, and yeah, and dude, the way he's been carrying himself, like, yeah. And yeah, we'll we'll get to that part later. Anyways.
SPEAKER_02I did I did like uh so I mentioned I watched the uh where Deegan did his debut race. I like that Jet was just ahead of them both races. That was yeah, that was pretty cool. Yeah. So you tuned in just because it hit Deegan? No, I was with Justin and he put it on, so we watched it.
SPEAKER_04Gotcha, okay. No, I mean that's the reason, half the reason we went down there to Paula was to watch Deegan. So did you see Deegan got himself a new Rolls Royce? No, half million dollar car, fuck change.
SPEAKER_03Is that what fifth place gets you?
SPEAKER_04Oh nice, which I think is funny because the Lawrences have a rolls, and it's just like Dude, you you want to be them so bad? Yeah, like dude, do do your own thing, but whatever.
SPEAKER_03Which to be fair, when when Dean came up, I was like, Holly, dude, when he like first came to the 250s, I was a supporter. I'm like, dude, this I you know, I think he'll be know his daddy, yeah, yeah, yeah. I'm like, cool, I want to watch the kid, yeah. And he was good, and then he started winning, and then just he turned into full Brian, full metal militia, and then since then it's like all right, but it's like kind of seemed like an act, and it's like, dude, like because then he comes in the open air, all like fleck, like, oh the shirt, the all the things, and then ever since then, he's just been like, Oh, I just super pumped to ride up here with these guys and like learn from them, and uh it's like dude, what you gotta pick a lane, bro, and you just stay in it.
SPEAKER_02I find that funny. Everybody I talk to about it, you know, they're saying that I don't watch anything about it. They're all saying that he's like this, and then when I watch that race with Justin and you hit the interview him, he's like, Oh, that guy seems pretty humble. Like he's just here to race and have a good time. And yeah, like who are we looking at?
SPEAKER_03Did you listen to his interviews today?
SPEAKER_04Not really, no.
SPEAKER_03He said that they so did you see him cutting the track?
SPEAKER_04Uh-huh.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. Doc seven positions.
SPEAKER_03So he's going on the inside of this left hander, and like there's track markers.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, there are.
SPEAKER_03And he says, No, I didn't see him. There's no track markers out there. He and they, as he's saying that, they show the video, he passes four of them on the inside.
SPEAKER_04Like two feet on the inside.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Now, is that justifiable for seven spots though?
SPEAKER_03What do you think the AM is gonna do? They took a win from him.
SPEAKER_04Okay, now do you think that it was so intense because they've already got after him for this kind of stuff?
SPEAKER_03I heard he was doing it all last year too. Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Like it's called progressive discipline, dude. Like when you when you mess up, it's the first time. Hey, don't do that again. When you continue to do it, the penalties get worse. There's a rule book for a reason. I think we talked about this last reason last week. If why do we have a rule or a rule book if we're not gonna follow them? Just stay in between the lines. I mean, unless you're Dudge Racing and then in your woods, then there are no lines. Does not apply to me. And for me to get like 30th. So yeah.
SPEAKER_04And you could see some, he was making up some time right there.
SPEAKER_03A lot. Yeah. Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Now he was ripping. Now it's funny too because I mean two other riders did get docked to Hunter got busted, one position. And then Prado got what was Prado for two? Two positions for Prado. Just for the same thing. Same thing. So I mean, it was I guess if that's how the track develops, it's like, dude, no, everybody else is doing that.
SPEAKER_03Okay, but when you're going around the track, it's dust right there. It's a problem.
SPEAKER_04Well, you know, it developed.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Wow. Yeah. So I think that like he's breaking the rules because his daddy wasn't there this race. You know, this is one of the first ones. His daddy wasn't there.
SPEAKER_03Which was kind of cool. I saw a video. So Travis Strana, Ricky Carmichael, Jeremy McGrath, Brian Deegan.
SPEAKER_02Do you know any of those names? Uh yeah, they're the most.
SPEAKER_03The there's one guy. I don't know. Twitch? No, there's Twitch, and there's one other guy that I don't know who it is. Oh anyways, they're all jumping over the White House lawn.
SPEAKER_00Oh, yeah.
SPEAKER_03And so they're all there. And what was cool, I saw a video is all those the OGs are watching it on their phone, motocross on their phone like me. Oh, right. Like, oh, I can relate. Nice. They're at work. Watch it on this little bitty screen. And yeah, it was it was pretty cool.
SPEAKER_02That's cool. That is cool. Yeah.
SPEAKER_04That's pretty wild that they're letting them jump in the White House. This is a current thing? Like it happened today.
SPEAKER_03Wow. No, well, so it was practiced today.
SPEAKER_04Oh, it didn't happen today. Oh, it's okay. You're right, Will.
SPEAKER_03Hey, I'm just I'm just saying No, keep me honest.
SPEAKER_04That's fine. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Okay. Well, maybe they're doing it for you.
SPEAKER_04I saw a I saw a clip of it today. Today's Saturday, by the way. We're doing this podcast on Saturday night.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Isn't this supposed to be a Sunday thing?
SPEAKER_04Usually.
SPEAKER_03Usually, but I'm going to a baseball game in the afternoon, which is a terrible idea. It starts at noon. It's gonna be like 110 out.
SPEAKER_04But you got a booth, right?
SPEAKER_03Yeah. Yeah. Yeah. Like in the third base or third left field corner. Like anyways. Nice. Lost my train of thought there. Oh, they're doing a UFC fight on the White House lawn. Oh wow. So that's tomorrow.
SPEAKER_04Is Don in it or Don Joe going at it?
SPEAKER_03Not for now.
SPEAKER_02Not for now. Don't go putting down a smack now.
SPEAKER_04For some reason, Rhett's been teaching Ivy how to like say Donald Trump. So she's running around the house between Donald Trump and then John Cena. I don't know why. Just those two. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. So UFC on the Yeah, they're doing that tomorrow. So I don't know if they're gonna jump. I'm sure they gotta be jumping tomorrow on like the UFC broadcast, but yeah, it's gotta be some part of that whole show.
SPEAKER_02So they're just jumping in the lawn?
SPEAKER_03Yeah, kind of.
SPEAKER_02It'd be a lot cooler if they jumped over the house.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Hey, that one feller jumped the Grand Canyon. I mean that one fella. That's right.
SPEAKER_04You know, this should be doing yeah. Yeah. Lame. Anyways, but I thought it's pretty cool.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_04That is still pretty cool. So Deegan, I feel like he rode really good though. It was fun to watch him. That first moto, you didn't watch the first moto, or you did?
SPEAKER_03I watched about half of it.
SPEAKER_04Dude, the first half of the first moto was sweet. Those three, the two Lawrence Brothers and Deegan going back and forth, and like, ugh, it was it was good. Deegan goes down twice in like two corners, and then Hunter goes down, and yeah. Then Coon and just rolled right in second place. But yeah, it was good racing. I hope we can see a lot more of that.
SPEAKER_03That tight I hope so too. And tight racing. Toy tight. If Deegan doesn't go down and he keeps using that inside line, does he pass yet?
SPEAKER_04Yeah. Yeah. It looked like a few times he had to like hurt before he before we hit him. Like it was tight.
SPEAKER_03Now, how much like give me a percentage of how much he was riding over his head? Like if his best is 100%, he's gotta be going at least 105, 110. Yeah because he he was all over the bike. Yeah, and you could you could even tell his mechanic kept riding, like breathe, breathe. Breathe.
SPEAKER_04Slow down. Oh, he went down. Yep. Yep. Oh, he went down again. Yep, I tried to tell him to freaking listen to me. I don't know why I'm here. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03So and then he got up and like dumped the clutch again or whatever and weeded it up and still came back the fourth. Right? I don't know.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. Anyways. First moto. And then did you see Hunter hit him in the second moto?
SPEAKER_03Hell yeah, dude.
SPEAKER_04Yes.
SPEAKER_03So so Hunter is Jet's brother. Right. Right. And anyways, Degan's like this big bully in the 250 class. Runs into everyone, right? Cannot pass someone without making contact. Right. Now that he's been in the 450s, like that stuff doesn't work. He tried to he tried to run it into someone a few races ago. Was it Hunter? On Hunter. Oh yeah. And didn't even face him. And then Hunter, kind of not like hard, but hits Degan, pushes him out of the rut, and passes him. And you're like, and then James Stewart on the broadcast is like, oh, you better get away because Digan likes to play like that. Diggan's not even close to retaliate.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_03So it was just, yeah.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, Hunter's really good. Kinggaros. Hunter's really good too at like just being patient, waiting, because he always has more at the end. So then he likes to play.
SPEAKER_03Did you like that line?
SPEAKER_04Oh yeah.
SPEAKER_03Oh, dude, it was sick. He kind of goes, Diggan's in this rent, and then he kind of like sets it up, goes outside, and then really cuts it in and then just bounces right in the rut.
SPEAKER_04Like his line, yeah.
SPEAKER_03Which could have been really risky with the way that track was developing and kind of pops him out just perfectly. I would have died, dude. I would have I would have put my my wheel right there, and then I would have caught a peg and then just, you know, you know, toast. Yeah. Say stuff.
SPEAKER_04And I feel like the the contact was like boom, but not like a sucker punch. Yeah. Just like a watch out, bud.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Watch out, bud. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Kind of like when me and you were gonna wrestle for real.
SPEAKER_02You better be ready. Is this happening? I look forward to it.
SPEAKER_03Gotta be you or give me, give me, uh, give me like two years.
SPEAKER_02It'll be two years.
SPEAKER_03William will be off his health kick back then. By then. By then, by then. And then uh, yeah, I'll gain all my weight back and say.
SPEAKER_04Am I? I thought you were. It's all a show. Okay.
SPEAKER_03Use my voice. Yeah.
SPEAKER_04That works with my kids, even if I give them a okay. Let's just blitz through these really quick. Jet, Lucas, Hunter, we already talked about March Banks, got fourth almost on the podium. Prado. Dude Prado.
SPEAKER_03Which uh he should have done better.
SPEAKER_04He should have.
SPEAKER_03He got beat by the Kawasaki.
SPEAKER_04Mm-hmm. The B rider on the Kawasaki.
SPEAKER_03Now, was that well is that because I guess he got docked out.
SPEAKER_04Oh, he got docked.
SPEAKER_03No.
SPEAKER_04Well. Yeah, I don't know how the math would have the math, but yeah. Anyway, AP did better than I thought he was gonna do on that first one or when he with the second mode he came around. He wasn't that far behind, so I was like, okay, cool. RJ Hampshire on eighth I thought he was gonna do a little better than that. That's okay. Cooper Webb, 10th. Bro, okay, cool. Just stop. Whatever. He's just getting paid, dude.
SPEAKER_03He he doesn't want to either.
SPEAKER_04Christian Craig, 940. If we're 15th, that wasn't very good. Let's see. Justin Barstra, 15th, and did not start.
SPEAKER_03Oh, I did not know.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. I don't think he wrecked in. If he wrecked in that first moto, it was early on because he was at the bottom from the beginning. Uh yeah, Dante 2415s. That second moto was much better.
SPEAKER_03I watched old beta, Benny Bloss. I watched a video of him ripping the track on the practice day, and dude, he was flying. Yeah. And made the like made that beta look good. Yeah, made it look really good. And then the whole time I was thinking, this guy is just a mid-pack man. Crazy.
SPEAKER_04Speaking of betas, dude, I rode Justin's 300 today. About looped it out, dude. Freaking had some power.
SPEAKER_03He's got it all hot, hopped up.
SPEAKER_04Dude, he must because I like go to like burp it off this little thing and right in front of him, no helmet. Almost looped it over. I was like, holy crap, this thing's custom power.
SPEAKER_03That thing's carburetor, right?
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Versus the Husqvarna's fuel injection. Does it hit like the old? I wrote it once, but I can't remember. Does it hit like the old two stroke?
SPEAKER_04It's pretty hard, yeah.
SPEAKER_03Because the husky was a smooth power the whole time. Yeah. Which I liked a lot better.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, you liked it smooth?
SPEAKER_03I like it smooth.
SPEAKER_04Not like depends on my mood.
SPEAKER_03You know what I mean? What you're feeling at the time. Yeah, yeah, yeah. But most of the time I like it smooth. Once in a while, like you know?
SPEAKER_04And that's that was the beta. Yeah. The suspension, just the the hit, just all of that.
SPEAKER_03Really hard.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Which is fun for a little bit. Like twice a year.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_03But not like. Like weekly.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. And the vibrations. Ooh. It yeah.
SPEAKER_03Really? Justin, we gotta get we you know we gotta get you some engine mounts, some is it it is it counterbalanced in there?
SPEAKER_04We just gotta get him a PGM, dude.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, get off the beta.
SPEAKER_04You would never, dude.
SPEAKER_03He was he's always Yamaha.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_03And then he goes and buys an Italian bike. Yeah.
SPEAKER_04We I don't know if we can trust him. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. Then I wrote Keys Team George. Yeah. Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Wow. Then I wrote a 125 today. Way better. Much more my speed. It was a Yamaha 125. That's why. Yamaha X. And it was pretty cool. I mean, I wrote it three three minutes. Yeah. So it's about what I got in me. But okay, so that's a 450 class. 250 class. We had a little bit of fun. Fire kitchen. Oh my gosh, dude.
SPEAKER_03I didn't watch the first moto. Apparently he won, right? Oh no. And then wrecks the second, destroys the entire field. Instead of Seth doing it, he just like, you know what, Seth, you got the red plate, taking you out.
SPEAKER_04Dude, like, what are we doing?
SPEAKER_03Like Kawasaki. Peace. PC Cow. This is your time to shine. Stop doing this to me.
SPEAKER_04Which is crazy because they do that and then they still shine. Like he leave. I mean, he didn't. Joseph won.
SPEAKER_03Oh, he did?
SPEAKER_04Yeah, Joe. Joe won with a 3-2. Good job. Oh. You know why he won? And you know what he even said? The pressure's off.
SPEAKER_03That makes sense.
SPEAKER_04Like, dude, why can't you just ride? Uh, anyways. Kitchen went 1-8 for 2. The 250 class has been fun just because it's been so different. Like 14-1, like you said with Sasha. Ryder D went. Wait, hold on. Ryder D was going on the podium? Yeah. He went 9-3 for fifth. Oh, I guess for the third. He was going up for that.
SPEAKER_03Oh, maybe that's what it was.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. Juju looked really good, but he kind of threw anger there. He was since second in that first moto and then just back to seventh. Seth 212. I mean, just Davies. Do you see Davies go down?
SPEAKER_03Yeah. I thought he was going to smoke his shoulder.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, that could have been bad. Definitely a little road rash on that. Dude, sometimes Stuart's so funny on the broadcast. He's like, Oh, that's gonna hurt in the shower later. Just like, dude, I'm gonna stuff. Yeah. So quick.
SPEAKER_03Do you know? Do you ever notice Weij, how he says during? He says Doring. He it annoys me.
SPEAKER_04Nevada. There's a couple different things with that guy. I don't want to talk about it.
SPEAKER_03Oh, also, William likes to watch his race in the closet in the dark with with no commentary. Death Street, we were watching it today, and he's like, Dad, I like to listen to it. I like I like it when they talk.
SPEAKER_04Oh.
SPEAKER_03He's like, Yeah, when they were talking when we I it was probably turned down low when we came over last week. He's like, when I couldn't hear it, I lost interest. Oh. He said, Yeah, it was boring. So I that's why I played fluke. Oh and then we sat down. Well, he didn't have a friend today, but we sat down, he's like, I like it listening to them talk. But I also had it turned up really loud because my kids wouldn't stop talking to me, and I was just ignoring them, so I just kept turning it up, and then oh, I can hear. And plus he's deaf, so when it's like a hundred percent on there, it's like oh, I can hear it.
SPEAKER_04This is great. Okay, but did you notice that there's huge lulls in the broadcast? Yes, because I think it was beautiful.
SPEAKER_03I think it was because it was broadcast on like live TV, not just by CNBC or whatever. Yeah, and I'm assuming that they were having commercials.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, that's what it was. But like you didn't like it when it was just the bikes.
SPEAKER_03It was okay, yeah. All right, all right, fine.
SPEAKER_04I'll just be on here by myself. Ori, I got a concern, and you need to fix it, dude, because chance hymus 18th for 2013.
SPEAKER_03I told you.
SPEAKER_04Like, what?
SPEAKER_03He won here.
SPEAKER_04Like, I thought this was gonna be a good one.
SPEAKER_03Beginning of the end. Like, if he's on if he's on team team woods, dude, he's off the bike. On to the next one. Sign sign the sign Sasha.
SPEAKER_04What if you wish? What about Drew Adams? I mean, no, it's the first race back, but 26, 23. Did he even score a point? No. Bro, what are we doing? Where did uh where did old fill and rider hold on Aiden Kiefer 34-34 for 35th? Oh that sucks. He qualified. You know who I don't see on here? What happened to Oh, what is it? Forkner.
SPEAKER_01Forkner didn't race.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, I don't know about that.
SPEAKER_04Forkner, where are you? Dude, must be just taking care of the kid.
SPEAKER_03He needs to.
SPEAKER_04Dude, even if he's like a loser on a motorcycle, he's a winner at everything else, dude. His wife is fine.
SPEAKER_03Yes.
SPEAKER_04Okay, alright. Moving on. Yes, she is. Anything else in the two-vitty classic?
SPEAKER_03I mean, I don't feel like we need to- We need some ruggedness. We need to like take a little bit of market off. Like, we need we need to be a good one.
SPEAKER_04It's funny because Ori and I are not in the back. We need some imperfections.
SPEAKER_03Like, dude, yeah, yes, she is beautiful, but it's everything's perfect. She's not 45. I mean, she is a mom now. So that that helps.
SPEAKER_04But if she was a grandma. Um okay, dude. We're the third round in. We're down Tomac, we're down Justin Cooper, we're down Sexton. I I don't know what happened to Barcia. AP was out, but he's back in. Like, what? It's just falling apart. So, like by the end, we're gonna have two guys.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, so like you said, who's the next guy?
SPEAKER_04Who's the next guy to not make it? Weed themselves. I don't want to put that on anybody, but I will. Let's see. I mean, we've seen Jet do it. Not in outdoors. Yeah. Uh Deegan do?
SPEAKER_03It's gonna be it's gonna be Deegan.
SPEAKER_04Deegan? Riding too hard. Yeah. It could be RJ, dude, if he accidentally just smokes a TV tower again.
SPEAKER_03You know, yeah, this guy's all over the place.
SPEAKER_04Jordan Smith. It could be.
SPEAKER_03Oh, you know, I'm surprised. I'm surprised he's made it this far.
SPEAKER_04Right. Like, okay.
SPEAKER_03Like in life.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, just in general. Yeah. I think Cooper's gonna be back. I think he got a concussion, and so he had. Yeah. That sucks. Next year, do you want to go to this race?
SPEAKER_03Yeah. Sure.
SPEAKER_04We driving. How far? 12 hours. Yeah. Motorhome? No. Stay at the track. Chris. Friday, Saturday.
SPEAKER_03Hibbits.
SPEAKER_04Dude, we should just go get it. He probably leaves a key in it.
SPEAKER_03Probably. He does use it at this time because he coaches travel ball. Boom. That's the only problem.
unknownOkay.
SPEAKER_03I mean, you you've been flirting.
SPEAKER_04You've been flirting with the idea of buying a Yeah, I sent my wife like three of them today.
SPEAKER_03Today.
SPEAKER_04One of them was like 300 grand.
SPEAKER_03Okay, would the wife rather have a motorhome or a big boat? Which one should would she be?
SPEAKER_04Definitely a motorhome.
SPEAKER_03Definitely a motorhome.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. But yeah. I'm just gonna have to go do it. Yeah. And just show up with it. I just spent 100 grand. Sorry. Like, I don't know. Does that something say sorry about?
SPEAKER_03Nah, she'll get over it. She'll like it.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. You'll use it for the the you'll use it the first year and then never again.
SPEAKER_02Cool. Hey, sounds like a good investment. She can take a nap, like laying down on the road. She'll forgive you. Right, dude. Like and just go to the bathroom, like not even stopping.
SPEAKER_03That's what I do with my my wife and toy hauler. I'll just put her in the trailer.
SPEAKER_02Do you? No.
SPEAKER_03Oh. No.
SPEAKER_02I think there's actually some like legalities with that. Yeah, you gotta, you know.
SPEAKER_04Hold on.
unknownOkay.
SPEAKER_04I'm pretty much over the moto talk.
SPEAKER_03I got I got plenty of. I actually wrote down some DMs. Nice.
SPEAKER_04I do have one more thing dirt bike related that.
SPEAKER_03Well, I have a few dirt bike related ones.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, I'm gonna let you decide if you want me.
SPEAKER_03So hold on, hold on. Do you want me to ask my dirt bike related ones and then get into your non-modo?
SPEAKER_04They're probably are they serious or are they kind of goofy?
SPEAKER_03Some goofy, and then and then I have non-modo.
SPEAKER_04So I got an email from from Kyle. Yeah. Pulsar. That just like breaks down like the whole thing. Oh, did you listen? No. Oh no, no, no. This is a mass email.
SPEAKER_03Oh, but are you part of the Jackrabbit?
SPEAKER_04Uh he emails me. I don't know why.
SPEAKER_03Interesting.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Really?
SPEAKER_04Yeah. Do you want me to?
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Okay. So while I'm looking for this, fill Jeff in and the listeners of what I'm about to read.
SPEAKER_03So we locally in the desert, we wait, we race Moran Motorcycle Racing Association of Nevada. Within that association, there's lots of different groups or clubs. Clubs. So like we're a part of Dark Side Motorcycle Club. Uh, there's the Gamblers, and then there's the Jackrabbits, Southern Nevada Jack Rabbits. Well, Kyle Pulsford and his wife have been running the club for a few years now. They've hosted several races, which the first race I went to, dude, it was fun. They they did up in Cedar at this place where they had like this giant lake thing and this cool endurocross. And I was telling Dalton, the kid in the club, like, dude, I want to, I want to be a part of this club. It's all it's a lot of fun. Well, the next year and the year after, they had some races that had a little bit of controversy where some unsafe stuff, and then apparently no one was taking it, or there was a lot of passing the blame back and forth. Well, they had this last race out here in Malapa where a lot of people got, you know, lost. They put a lagoon jump in, and you got like 50-year-olds trying to jump and just wrecking themselves. And like this, it went viral and like not in a good way.
SPEAKER_04Right. And uh which the lagoon jump, I mean, it's kind of a little spoof off of what they do down in Havasu for Works race. And it's just like a thing, like it's very iconic for that race, right? So like I can see why they're trying to, oh, let's do something.
SPEAKER_03But after like 60 miles in the desert, yeah, and you all of a sudden you're jumping over a river with a race that doesn't have jumps.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, probably Jeff Hardy sending it. Yeah. It is W. I mean wet.
SPEAKER_03Which I hear that there was an option to go around it, but it's nothing but poof dust. So you're probably in the middle of the dust, not knowing that there's a split lane, and all of a sudden you're jumping, probably not a good idea. Right. And I'm sure the jump wasn't very compacted, but anyways. So they had a board meeting with all like the association and all the clubs, and all the other clubs voted the jackrabbits out.
SPEAKER_02Really? So it was a voting situation, yes.
SPEAKER_03And they said that it anyways, so you have an email.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, it's quite long. So I don't know how much of it I'll read, but I'll kind of yeah, yeah, I'll blitz through it. So these are the reasons that we're they got canceled by and then Kyle goes ahead and defends himself or explains after each one, which I probably won't read all of that, but yeah, the first thing is just an extra ten dollar fee to the big bike riders.
SPEAKER_03Oh, there you know what Brent Bush was complaining about this because you had this last race, you had to purchase an AMA card on top of your Moran membership, on top of your entry fee. I think Damon paid like $300 just to race. Oof, one race? Yeah, yeah, which a normal fee. You pay your hundred dollars for the association in the beginning of the year, and then every race after that 60 bucks.
SPEAKER_04Right. Late flyers. And I mean, he said he had it out from December 21st, which is two months before.
SPEAKER_03Which they are to to back him, they are very good at promoting their stuff early.
SPEAKER_04No Moran sponsors on the flyer. This is not the first time, the third time, I believe. Okay, the rider safety due to several factors, limited markings for all four races, leading to lost riders and cutting of the course. Not enough club members on the course for the cutoffs, the course changes, club members or or rovers going backwards on the course, limited race management during the early races, leading the potential vehicle/slash rider collisions, mile mileage was significantly off, and some of the riders do not know where they were on each lap.
SPEAKER_03Now, I did not race that particular race in Moapa, but I've talked to several people that confirmed that that was an issue. The race I did up in Cedar, I thought it was fine. Yeah. But it was also on private property, and it was not a very big look big loop. It was more of a GP.
SPEAKER_04Yep. So, and then he goes to, you know, you know, four force most, like rider safety is is big, blah, blah, blah. There were no collisions recorded, so Kyle doesn't know why they even brought that up. On every single desert race, there is a chance. This is all BLM land, it's open to the public. You could have a side-by-side burning down the thing sideways, not even though there's a race going on.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_04You know, so which has happened. I mean, there's some of that kind of stuff, and and you know, he goes on and he said that they had like 80 different members, uh volunteers is what they call it, out there, you know, and and then Kyle did take responsibility of like the he was in charge of remarking that one loop. He m he missed it, he took ownership of that. So, but like it still happened.
SPEAKER_03It's still and to be fair, that's happened with other races, not just yeah, yeah. Like it happens quite often.
SPEAKER_04I guess that he said, Kyle, you mentioned recently that the Moran and the Jackrabbits might part ways because they do not share the same vision. I think now is time.
SPEAKER_03Well, is that what they told him?
SPEAKER_04I guess, yeah. You're not inspiring or motivating or supporting one another. Okay. Yeah, and that's again, Kyle's got a you know, his side of all of those points, but it's quite a long email. It's just uh Do you know him at all?
SPEAKER_03Yeah, so do you invite him on?
SPEAKER_04Yeah, I could. I could totally I think he would love to share. No, okay. We'll get it. Kyle Pulsore coming soon. Perfect. Alright. That's the the end of the serious stuff. Let a rip. I got some random non-normal stuff. Oh, I got lots of random stuff. Which will be perfect with Jeff here, so we can do all that.
SPEAKER_03I'll ask the okay. Hold on.
SPEAKER_00Um, I was wondering, can I have your number? Can I have your number?
SPEAKER_03Oh, we haven't done a minute.
SPEAKER_04That has been a bit.
SPEAKER_03Um all right.
SPEAKER_04Do we still call him Derek's DMs?
SPEAKER_03Yeah, Derek's DMs. I didn't even let it go all the way. Or Derek's demands, even though he these aren't from him. Do you think so? Did you see the jerseys that the guys were wearing at the White House? They're all white and they say Nitro Circus on it.
SPEAKER_04Oh, cool.
SPEAKER_03Do you think Brian Deegan felt weird wearing a Nitro Circus jersey?
SPEAKER_04That's wild.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. And all their bikes were white. All of them had like their name, their number, and then Nitro Circus. So big bad metalitia. You know, the Nitro Circus Metal Militia rivalry. Yeah. And you know, the little kid won.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, yeah. That's cool. Now, so I assume this is a Dana White thing, right? And so he probably reached out to Travis and then gave him the rights or whatever.
SPEAKER_03And then a video of, and I don't know how staged it was.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, I saw it, yeah.
SPEAKER_03But yeah, it was trap, it was, it made it to where Travis was reaching out.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. Like, hey Dana, you're doing the this fight. Oh, I want to backflip on at the White House. And Dan's like, oh, I'll make it happen.
SPEAKER_04Nice. Okay. Then I saw the ones where Travis called everybody else, was like, hey, Brian. No, that's cool though. But that that was weird for yeah. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Do we ever see Chase ride a Cowie again?
SPEAKER_04Yeah, I I mean. Yeah. Yeah, I don't think he's done. He's fine. He's fine. Do you think? No. No? No. Just done. He's hurt and just gonna go ride a Yamaha? What's left? A beta?
SPEAKER_03There's a Yamaha, but he'd have to ride for free. Covey. I've been hearing a lot of starting his own team, but I don't like that's just a like he's gonna have to.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. What do you think? What bike would he pick if he started his own team?
SPEAKER_03I don't think he's going to.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_03I think last itch ever effort, he goes rides for star for nothing.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. But the problem is he'll he'll still win and he'll get those fat race bonuses, so it won't be nothing, but yeah. Oh, jeez. Oh jeez.
SPEAKER_03Alright, so there's all so your big Eli ET3 is your man.
SPEAKER_04Well, I'm dead. Yeah, you are in the taller version.
SPEAKER_03When all the OG writers or the current older guys retire, who is gonna be your guy?
SPEAKER_04Like my new guy?
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Oh.
SPEAKER_03You're gonna have to pick one, the root one. Obviously, I'm everyone.
SPEAKER_04Well, whoever's doing good. Yeah, whoever's winning. Who's good at the time?
SPEAKER_03Well, I I've determined today when Lucas and Sasha come over. I'm I'm team Coon.
SPEAKER_04Yeah?
SPEAKER_03When they come out, when they come over, as long as they maintain the same attitude as they had today. Yeah. Yeah. I'm picking up maybe like Davies, I guess. I get on the Davies train. I like Davies.
SPEAKER_04No, he's cute.
SPEAKER_03He's he's from New Zealand. Oh, dude.
SPEAKER_04He's not American either foreigners out here. Dude. They're taking over.
SPEAKER_00He sure acts like it's Yeah, I guess, yeah.
SPEAKER_04Because I tried to go freaking high, miss, but he's been letting me down.
SPEAKER_03So yeah, well, because I was looking, I was looking at the results today on who's the best American is Deegan. I'm like, I can't read through. Yeah.
SPEAKER_04That's sad.
SPEAKER_03All right, that's the last uh moto. You ready for it?
SPEAKER_04Oh yeah, you're you're right. Yeah, team everyone. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03All right. These are non-modal questions. Or actually, do you want me to get into all right? Rapid fire, real quick before I get to non-mode motor questions. Smash or pass. I just need a quick smash or pass. Okay. Okay. This goes for both of you. You both have to answer.

SPEAKER_03Smash. Caster?
SPEAKER_04Casper?
SPEAKER_03Caster.
SPEAKER_04Like a caster?
SPEAKER_03Caster.
SPEAKER_04Like the tire or wheel you put on the bottom of a table? Caster?
SPEAKER_03That's a race car term.
unknownOh.
SPEAKER_03Oh. Camber?
SPEAKER_04Okay, no. No. Like Camber on the cars just rolling down the freaking road. They're all like, oh no. Yeah, no.
SPEAKER_02Like, are we talking controlled camber or like what we'll say? The Hondas.
SPEAKER_03I don't know. Like, I like to make it Hondas, yeah. Make it turn left a little bit easier. I mean, I can respect it.
SPEAKER_04Half smash.
SPEAKER_03Smash.
SPEAKER_04Smash half of it.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. Stagger.

SPEAKER_02Smash. Smash. Smash. I mean, if I got some free stuff, yeah. I got a tank top that we might be able to get on you. Yeah, I would look great at a tank top.
SPEAKER_03All right. And then non-modo questions. Best 4th of July food.
SPEAKER_02Hot dogs.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Whatever it is has got to come off the barbecue. Oh, yeah. Right? Like, yeah, a burger or a steak or or whatever. Yeah, it's got to be on the barbecue. What would you say hot dog?
SPEAKER_03Yeah. I can keep buying some brats. I like brats. Dude, I've been on my TikTok feed lately. It's been like these. Just hot dogs. I did. I searched up hot dog talk. And and it's these these hot dog carts, and it's this Hispanic guys. And he's just, you know, doing a thing. Woo! And then he he they wrap the hot dog in bacon. Yeah. Right? They toast the bun. Okay. They put the hot dog wrapped in bacon on there. Mayonnaise, ketchup, mustard. That's too much. Okay. Grilled onions and bell pepper on there. Hot Cheetos. Hot Cheetos. Oh. Looks so good.
SPEAKER_02That's too much work. No, no, no. Well, someone hands it to you. Dude, wiener and bun in mouth. No. Can't be extra. Oh man.
SPEAKER_04Dude, like those the hot dog carts you you see on movies or whatever, New York, you know, like whatever. Like I would have to be inches from death before I ate from one of those.
SPEAKER_02Really? They actually are quite terrible.
SPEAKER_03They look so good. Are they good?
SPEAKER_04Okay.
SPEAKER_03They're probably illegal, but they look very good.
SPEAKER_04Ah, dude. I just, yeah. Especially food for just like a random source.
SPEAKER_03Either of you have never been like drunk to the point where you're time traveling and you don't know where you're at and you're really hungry.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, no.
SPEAKER_03Now that's a good time when you're eating. Oh.
SPEAKER_04The hot dog.
SPEAKER_03Oh, that's the best time. That's my favorite time. Maybe that's a good time. Yeah.
SPEAKER_04And then like never time traveled.
SPEAKER_03Dude, I've time traveled where I woke up and I was eating Panda Express with my hands.
SPEAKER_04That was grace. That's amazing.
SPEAKER_03I also time traveled one time.
SPEAKER_02Like straight up fist and some chow main?
SPEAKER_03Yes.
SPEAKER_02Yes. That makes your hands slimy.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. Yeah. I also woke up in a laundry room on the tile floor because it was the coldest part of the house. It was middle of summer.
SPEAKER_04Were you eating then too? No. Good. No. Good.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. Nothing was eaten that night. Okay. Team Edward or Team Jacob?
SPEAKER_04Edward. Yeah. That's my middle name.
SPEAKER_02So I'll go Edward. I'll support my boy.
SPEAKER_03Do you know where that's from?
SPEAKER_04I have a Twilight.
SPEAKER_03Twilight. Yeah. And Jacob's over there just trying to steal the homeboy's girl.
SPEAKER_04Oh. Have you ever watched any of that? No, sir. Have you, or?
SPEAKER_03Oh yeah, me neither. Weird.
SPEAKER_04Dude.
SPEAKER_03I wasn't watching it on the way over here. No. My wife threw it on. And we watched it back. It's so cheesy. Like it was so fun to watch. That's awesome. Alright. Would you rather like have a good pee? Like or like a good poo? Which one feels better? Like, you know, when you're like, oh I gotta go, and then you finally go like, oh, it feels so good. Pee. Yeah. Yeah. Like like a good poo is feels good, but like when you're like you got a pee, and then it just, you know, favorite thing about the 2000s?
SPEAKER_02Hmm. The lack of responsibility. Yeah, right. Those are good times.
SPEAKER_04Just like that's some good music.
SPEAKER_03I like like I really like my my phone and I'm addicted to it. But no smartphones.
SPEAKER_04Right.
SPEAKER_03I like today. I was working.
SPEAKER_04Like you had to get on the computer and go check your mice face.
SPEAKER_03Or like knock on your buddy's your neighbor's house and hey, can William play? Yeah. Yeah. Hey, uh I hear you guys out riding. Can I hang out? Alright. Dream trip with the boys. What is it?
SPEAKER_02They're vibes.
SPEAKER_04Dude, yeah. Probably one of those getaways for like five days motorcycles. Just yeah. Up in the mountains. Yeah. Just manly men.
SPEAKER_03Just all dudes.
SPEAKER_02A lot of hot dogs.
SPEAKER_03A lot of hot dogs. All right. What's the most trouble you've ever found yourself in?
SPEAKER_02I uh getting home late.
SPEAKER_03Oh.
SPEAKER_02Like in trouble with like your parents, or just like crap that sucks.
SPEAKER_03Like crap that sucks. So I'll give you an example. The one that came up to mind. I sold my house, was supposed to buy another house. Me, I was supposed to buy grandma's house. Grandma and I have a disagreement. She fails to sign the closing paperwork. So now I'm homeless. And I'm not gonna live. Yeah. So I moved my entire family with little children into a RV down into a little small trailer in the middle of summer. It's hot as hell. Right? Like, and then I decide to race a night race, break my wrist. You know, I'm so I'm living in a trailer with like a tiny trailer with like the AC sucks with little kids. My wife's crying herself to sleep every night, you know, and then we finally buy another house two months later, and it was fine. But that situation just sucked. It was like, yeah, not good. Anything like that come to mind.
SPEAKER_02I'd have to think about it for a minute. I'm not very good at interviews.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, like off the hood. I mean, I nothing ever bad happens to me. No, I know. I feel like when I was we were first married, I had the first house, I sold that that Cummins I had, the the 06, and bought that four because Fords are sick, right? And I was like, oh dude, this this 6-4, dude, 0-8, like so sick, you know.
SPEAKER_02That was a beautiful truck.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, it was cool, and just blows the motor. And so, you know, like at that stage of my life, it was just like catastrophic, right? Like, dude, this is gonna be thousands of dollars of fixed like how are we gonna do it? How this dude, we're never gonna dig out of this. Oh my gosh, and and we're busy at work, and um Casey's coming over, Marshall out the you know, after work. We're trying to pull the cab off, and it's like 10 o'clock at night. I gotta get up at four. We just one more hose to pull off, and we're gonna take the cab off. That was the goal for the night. One more, it's the radiator hose at the bottom. He and I are down on the ground together and just like yanking. It finally gives boof, dude, just coolant antifreeze all over me in my mouth, like just all over me. And it's just like this is the low of the low. And then I go in the bathroom to like get the antifreeze off of me. I see some toothpaste there. Like I said, I got it in my mouth. I take the toothpaste, put it on my fingers, just like on my tongue to get it off. Close my mouth, realize it's way thicker than any toothpaste I've ever had before. And I'm like, oh, what the freak is this? I look at it, it's preparation age. It's just it's just that was yeah, that was my low. I I think I'd rather have it after your mouth. It was yeah, it was bad. It was pretty bad. Yeah, yeah. I mean, yeah, that's about as bad it was, yeah.
SPEAKER_03Oh, nice.
SPEAKER_02You know, I have other lows, but oh I've probably had worse of this, but it's the one that comes to mind. I had one of them little SSR 110 pit bikes. Oh, I'm sorry. Yeah. Wheel bearings every week, pretty much. How old were we? What year was this? Senior year of high school. Yeah, yeah, they were hot then. Yeah. How much did you pay for it? That's big. I freaking Tyler Wade. I Jewed him out of it. I feel bad about it now. Yeah, he's fine. Yeah. I had a very inexpensive set of subwoofers that I bought off eBay that I had in the Jeep. Yeah. Traded them straight up. Nice. And his mom was super pissed. But whatever, I had it perfect. But uh I was at Dusty Taylor's house once, you know, right down here. Yeah. And I was going home that way, like by the grade school, I think it was. And there's when the reservoir was down low. I thought I'll just boog it right across it. Oh, got stuck in the mud. Like, you know, the island, just to the right of the island. Tried to cut straight across there too, like the boat ramp, I guess. Yeah. Oh wow. And I've never done that. I had to walk it. Absolutely. I looked back, what was I thinking? Yeah. But yeah, I had to like walk it and trying to keep it running and it's dying, or it's getting hot in the breach of mud. Dude, it's and it's like midnight. So pitch black. I can't see nothing. Yeah. And it was just, it was a bad time. I'm I'm covered. Yeah.
SPEAKER_04I'm trying to walk it. Supposed to be home. Yeah. Mom's gonna be mad.
SPEAKER_03Surprised you got the bike out.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_02I was looking back, though, just leave it.
SPEAKER_04SSR, dude. Leave it.
SPEAKER_02Got your losses. No, that thing was sweet. Me and Dustin and Hayden Waite all had them, and we we drove them to high school when they're to school. Nice. That was cool.
SPEAKER_03Speaking of Hayden Waite.
SPEAKER_04Good times. Hayden Waite. He came and found us when we were at Paula.
SPEAKER_02Oh, really?
SPEAKER_04Yeah, he came and hanged out with us. That's cool. Yeah, him and his daughter. Really? Yeah.
SPEAKER_02That sounds like a good time.
SPEAKER_03I uh I don't think I've ever really talked to him in high school.
SPEAKER_02No.
SPEAKER_03Hey, what's that work? All right. Cool, bro.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. We became pretty good friends. The first time I ever hung out with him, Dusty and I wanted to go to the top of Bunker Mountain to play in snow. He's like, and we took my Jeep. And he said, Hey, can Hayden come? I'm like, I don't know who that is. Hell yeah. Bring him. Yep. And that's the that was it. We drove up there, drove to Mesquite after, got pizza, got a flat tire, drove it home. That was the first time we met him. Nice. Yeah. Good times.
SPEAKER_04I didn't like him in high school because he liked Jordan. Oh yeah. It was all about Jordan. Yeah. And it was like, oh no. Yeah. We're good now. Yeah. Long past that.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Nice. That was a good one. You got some good stories out of that one. Wow. One of those 50 questions got some good response. Mine was even motorcycle related.
SPEAKER_02Wow.
SPEAKER_03Perfect for the podcast. Yeah. Last one that I have here. What achievement are you most proud of? Mine being a dad. Which I could be better at.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. You could really step that out.
SPEAKER_03No, I yeah, I got a lot to do.
SPEAKER_02I think marrying Jesse. Oh, dude, that was mine. Obviously not Jesse. I mean, that's I was in the friend zone, and she'll she's admits it. Like that was I was in it deep. Swam my way out of it. Nice. Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Nice. Yeah, I yeah. The wife, because like it's crazy too, because you get married, especially like young Mormons. Like, dude, we have no idea what we're getting into. We're just so just this is the next step. This is what we gotta do, but whatever. It's in the book. It's in the book, dude. Like, this is what we gotta do. And it's crazy. I mean, like, for Megan and I to parent in a similar way, and we like see eye to eye on that kind of stuff, and like the money stuff, and everything, like it could go so sideways so many different times, and it's like, holy crap! And it's it's easy. It's like, dude, how does this yeah? You just flow and how does it work? Yeah, and it could have I can think about some of the other girls that I was dating or whatever, and it's just like, oh man, that would have sucked. This would be a different life.
SPEAKER_03And think about like who you guys were when you guys first met and got first got married. Oh, yeah, compared to where the people that you are now, and we were all kids when we got married. Yeah, totally 180.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, like and and you either grow together or you grow apart. And luckily, I think that we've all grown together in our relationships, and yeah, it's yeah, it's wild.
SPEAKER_03And I'm glad that we all uh at least for me, I'm glad Elise and I had kids when we were young. Yeah, I I don't know how like old old man Justin having kids when he's 40. Yeah, I don't know about that. I mean I would if my wife would let me, but she won't.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. Yeah. Yeah, no, it's yeah, pretty wild. But I mean the kids, the kids are good. Like that's a good right, like I it's weird because like you have to love your kids, right? I mean, they're part of you, like whatever, like and like your family that you grew up with, like they're all I mean, that's like your family, like your your mom and dad, you love right. But I feel like your wife, like, like that's the one that you chose.
SPEAKER_02Yep, exactly. I've thought that way a long time. Like, no, like this is like I choose to be with you. Yeah, I'm stuck with everybody else. Yeah, exactly.
SPEAKER_04Yep. So yeah. Sorry, do you not feel that way? No, no, no.
SPEAKER_03I feel my I feel that way, but uh, I guess like uh, yeah, my wife too. I gotta throw that out there. But I said, like now I'm the D-bag that said, you know, I'm really proud of being a dad. But you guys screw the kids.
SPEAKER_04You know, I hope my wife too. Yeah, anyways. Yeah. So dude, I'd be broke without her. I'd spend all my money. She keeps me grounded.
SPEAKER_03Anyways, all right. Uh so I speaking of kids, my little sister, right? Carissa.
SPEAKER_04Oh, yes.
SPEAKER_03She was over at my house, and I I asked her, I'm like, hey, who's your dad? Oh, my dad. Stacy. I said, Oh, who's my dad? I don't know who your dad is. Really? And I was like, really? You don't know who my dad is? No. Who's Tristan's dad? I don't know. So I FaceTime my dad. I'm like, hey, I'm talking to your daughter. I ask her, hey, who's your dad? Oh, it's my dad right there. I asked, or FaceTime, hey, who's who's my dad? I don't know.
SPEAKER_04I don't care. You're like, she's like, this again?
SPEAKER_03I was here first. All right. I used to be the favorite. I used to be the golden child. You came here, you ruined everything.
SPEAKER_02Oh, I said all of that?
SPEAKER_03Oh, yeah.
SPEAKER_02I don't doubt that for a second.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, no. No. Like, yeah. I don't care. You're adopted, you're my sister. I'm gonna treat you like one. Yeah.
SPEAKER_04I don't care if you're 30 years younger than me, I'm gonna kick your butt.
SPEAKER_03His sister, yeah. So yeah, when we we we argue all the time.
SPEAKER_04Did you see me like when you said that? I was like, what the hell is he talking about? It took me a second to remember. Yeah, yeah. Weird. No.
unknownAnyway.
SPEAKER_03Nice. You said you have an another non-moto, or no? That that was the weird stuff, yeah. Perfect. Yeah. I know Jeff, I know it's late. We're here to party. Heck yeah, we got a we got a quarter of Mountain Dew in here.
SPEAKER_04Dude, I should have known because he didn't tell me who the special guest was, but I should have known by just the beverage. The beverage should have been like, oh.
SPEAKER_02You know what's funny? I moved to Tennessee and I I didn't drink Mountain Dew the entire time I was in Tennessee. Really? We had mellow yellow there. Oh, like they didn't have Mountain Dew? No, they had Mountain Dew. I just much prefer Mellow Yellow. Really? They don't have it here.
SPEAKER_03So I actually got and they don't have it here, and every time I go to his house, he has some, and I drink it just to make it.
SPEAKER_02You can buy it in Utah. Oh, nice. So every time we go up there, I smuggle it back. Nice.
SPEAKER_03He also brings me back moonshine from Tennessee. He doesn't he doesn't drink it, but he's like, here are actually tried it.
SPEAKER_02I've got some homemade moonshine, and it is now aged six years. Nice. It's not good.
SPEAKER_04It's gross. Nice and clear. How was Tennessee?
SPEAKER_02I loved it. I absolutely loved it.
SPEAKER_04Yep. So you guys moved back to what part of Tennessee?
SPEAKER_02Gallenburg.
SPEAKER_04Okay. And this was pretty, pretty quick after you guys got married a couple years, maybe. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02So married in the end of 12, and we moved up. November. July, June of 2015. So three years. Almost three years.
SPEAKER_04Three years later. Okay. So you moved over there. Did you guys have family or anything? Or like did you just wing it?
SPEAKER_02We just wung it.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. Wung it? Wang it Wanged it. That's all right.
SPEAKER_03Jesse's parents.
SPEAKER_02So Jesse's Jesse's grandma is from there. That's it was her house that we were staying in. When we moved there, her grandma was living with her Jesse's parents here.
SPEAKER_03Oh, so you yeah, you'd had no one, huh?
SPEAKER_04Wow. Which yeah, again, kind of cool because like then it's just like you and Jesse, like you guys gotta figure it out. Yeah, like there you can't run over to your palm's house when Jesse pisses you off, or the vice versa. You know, like nah dude, it's us. Like, we gotta figure this out. Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_02We had there was Jesse's Jesse's mom's uncle lived there. And I actually got to know him pretty well. He's really cool, dude. Mowed his lawn. Uh works. I was way sick. Yeah. But that was like the lawns back there are pretty sweet. I loved it. It got me a zero turn.
SPEAKER_04What was the best part about Tennessee?
SPEAKER_02At the weather or like at the people. Really? Absolutely the people. Everybody's just so lovable and nice.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. Like I fit in. Like if you look at me. Those are your people.
SPEAKER_02That's my people.
SPEAKER_04Biscuits and gravy with some grips. Gravy biscuits. Oh I apologize. Nice.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_04Gravy biscuits. Nice. So I've we've been to Nashville a little while back, and beautiful back there. And I got a buddy who lives back there, and it's just like, man, I feel like I could. But how's the summer?
SPEAKER_02It's it's humid, brother. Is it brutal? Yeah, and Nashville's not even as bad as Gallenburg because it's that's four hours east.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_02And but it's I mean, I think the hottest I ever saw was 100. Okay. We saw it triple digits once.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_02But it's like 90% humidity. Just dripping. Yeah, right. You can't get out of it. Like here, I was just talking with someone about that today. Here you're hot, you can get some shade. It's like a 15-degree difference. You know, you feel it. There it's you're just wet in the shade now.
SPEAKER_04It's just the same. There's just no tan. Yeah. No. Huh. Do you think you could ever go back?
SPEAKER_02Absolutely. Yeah. That's our plan. Yeah. We moved back because of the kids. Yeah. We or kid at the time. Both our parents live here. And it's it's just not fair to them to raise them two thousand miles away. Yeah. So we we came back and we'll raise them here, and then the goal is to move back.
SPEAKER_04There you go. Sweet. That's cool. Yeah. That's way cool. Or do you think you could ever live somewhere else?
SPEAKER_03I always Think about it, but no, I'm not talking Utah. Like I'm talking like no, I I I don't think my wife would want to leave. Yeah. And I'm probably like that too. I've never lived anywhere else. I'm kind of too scared. I'm kind of a wuss. Yeah. But I'd probably like I might like it.
SPEAKER_04How many states have you been to?
SPEAKER_03Never been further east than Colorado. So all the western states west of Colorado.
SPEAKER_04You've been the Dakotas?
SPEAKER_03Nope.
unknownOkay.
SPEAKER_04Wyoming?
SPEAKER_03Maybe droving through.
SPEAKER_04Droven? Droven.
SPEAKER_03Driven?
SPEAKER_04Drave. Drave. New New Mexico.
SPEAKER_03Driven.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_04Through. Nice. Jeff, what's your idea of like a perfect vacation?
SPEAKER_02Camping.
SPEAKER_04Camping. Yep. So you rather go mountains, not beach.
SPEAKER_02Absolutely. Yep. I mean I I do love the beach. I I like to be on the beach. I am terrified of water, so I don't go in it. Thallophobia, I believe it's called.
SPEAKER_04Nice.
SPEAKER_02But yeah, camping. As I grew up camping, you know, I would say that we were poor. We weren't necessarily poor, but we had 12 kids at all times. Uh yeah. And you can't, you're not going to Disneyland every summer. No. You go camping. You load up in the 12-passenger van with all your crap and you head up into the woods. Yeah. Find a free camping spot. Yeah, free camping spot. Go play kids. I loved it.
SPEAKER_04Dude, so with the phobia of water, like our showers just like intense.
SPEAKER_02It's the worst. Every single day.
SPEAKER_03Oh shower. Don't even get me started on a bath.
SPEAKER_02Can't stand it, dude.
SPEAKER_04Oh camping. That's awesome. All right. Ori, you got a lot of problems? You got some problems, right? Jeff, you got some problems in life? All right. All right. If everybody in the world wrote down their problems and put them into a hat, would you reach in and grab one? Or would you keep your own?
SPEAKER_03Wait, and then you live with that problem?
SPEAKER_04Uh-huh.
SPEAKER_03No. Some people have some shit. I'm going to reach in there and I'm going to pull something out. I'm like, where'd my wiener go to?
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Where did it? It's around here somewhere.
SPEAKER_02I'm going to pull out diabetes. Great. I needed that.
SPEAKER_03I needed that. Oh. But on the flip side, you can pull out like Elon Musk. Yeah. Problem. You're a true the first the world's first trillionaire. Oh, this is such a problem.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. Yeah. I'm sure he gets some headaches, but yeah. Yeah.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_03I mean, you're also really weird. Like, just different kind of guy. But you're really smart.
SPEAKER_02And he's African.
SPEAKER_03He's African, yeah. Oh.
SPEAKER_02South African. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_00Nice.
SPEAKER_03Oh. Wait, so hold on. To clarify, are you reaching in? No. No. He said no to. Okay. Yeah. I'm out. Yeah. Yeah.
unknownNice.
SPEAKER_04Alright. It just like puts in perspective, like, oh, okay, my stuff's not that bad. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Oh, absolutely.
SPEAKER_04Like, ah, okay, we're we're doing okay here.
SPEAKER_02I'll complain about anything because he'll tell you that. We're doing all right.
SPEAKER_04All right. This other stuff I've got written down. It's like.
SPEAKER_03No, send it, dude.
SPEAKER_04No, it's like motivational and like.
SPEAKER_03That's what I'm here for. Derek, shut it off. I don't care, Derek. I liked it.
SPEAKER_04Okay, so this is what I live for. I can care less about you live for motivation stuff or just random crap.
SPEAKER_03Oh, random crap.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, no. This is like all motivational, supposed to like feel good.
SPEAKER_03Okay. I'm into I'd like to feel good once in a while.
SPEAKER_04Well, geez.
SPEAKER_03Jeez.
SPEAKER_04Alright. So something that I've something that I've done. And like I feel like it's a some people giggle at you, you know, when you say it or whatever. But like you need to to change the word have to to get to. You ever done that? Like, oh, I get to do I have to go get my sister. Oh, I have to go take out the trash. I get to. You ever done that?
SPEAKER_03No, I yeah.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Like in the mindset.
SPEAKER_02The mindset. Yeah. I get to wake up at five every day and work in the blistering ass sun and come home at 5 30 every day. Yeah. I get to do that. You get to do that, dude.
SPEAKER_04You get to do that.
SPEAKER_02But you're right, because I get to do that to support my family. Right. And have the things that I have and live my life. So yeah, I get it.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. I get to do that because I made poor life decisions early in life and didn't do anything better. So that's that's what I get.
SPEAKER_04So you're a wrench, right? You yeah, heavy equipment? Yes, sir. Yeah. And you don't like that you don't you don't love it? You don't like it? Like what do you I no?
SPEAKER_02I absolutely love it. But it it's hot. It's 112 today in my care.
SPEAKER_03Dang, I was I was complaining about getting out of the loader for like 20 minutes, dude.
SPEAKER_02I'm like, oh, this sucks. Yeah, that's that's what mechanics are.
SPEAKER_03Dude, I roll up.
SPEAKER_02Every time the operators come up and they complain about their AC not working, yeah. Like, well, guess what?
SPEAKER_04I don't have it either because this tin can I'm in.
SPEAKER_02You sound like Chris, now the only time I ever get AC is when I get yours fixed and I test it to see if it works.
SPEAKER_04So what would make it better? Just if you had a like a shop you could shut the door and have a or you have a swamper or something.
SPEAKER_02Air conditioned shop would be nice, but I mean just the amount of time spent there that would Yeah. You said five to five? That's leaving home to getting home. Yeah. It's 10 hour days, but it's an hour drive. Yeah. Each way. Four tens? Four tens and a nine. That's weird, but okay. 6 30 to 4 30, Monday to Thursday, 6 30 to 3 30, Friday.
SPEAKER_00Nice.
SPEAKER_02Over time every week.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. Yeah. I guess in the winter it's nice though.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Oh, I love it. Yeah. Yeah. Like I just said, I will complain about everything. But no, I love it. I I love my job. I love the people. It's it's a great time. Yeah. It's I'm very comfortable there.
SPEAKER_03So we need to get you uncomfortable.
SPEAKER_00Dude, that's my next freaking okay. So uh let me go last.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_00I got time. You got time.
SPEAKER_03Have some type of facial hair. That's that's what you drop what I'm saying. Oh, yeah. Sorry. Okay.
SPEAKER_00I got other drops. That's not any better. I got.
SPEAKER_04Oh, we haven't done a previous show in a while. Yeah, we thank goodness. Okay, so I've got it now already. So I'm so I'm digging the the working out thing right now. And it's crazy because in the gym, on every set, I go until I fail. Right. I go until I cannot do it anymore. Right. And that's Sam Solic. That's where the growth happens. Right? Right. You tear your muscle and so it can rebuild, right? So you gotta tear yourself down and you rebuild. So I'm gonna kind of bag on Brock. I love Brock. So don't take it this wrong. He doesn't listen, it's fine.
SPEAKER_03But like Yeah, screw you, bro.
SPEAKER_04It's all right. He's always just wants to be comfortable, which is fine. But like, okay, like we're coming into the summer, right? And I feel like we need to acclimate ourselves into the summer, right? So it's not just like a beautiful to like horrible, right? So yeah, yeah, like it's hot. Like we're it's getting hotter and hotter, whatever. But like we're easing into it and we're acclimating it. And in the long run, it's gonna be better, right? But he always wants his freaking fan on the cart, taking up all the damn room. And it's just like, dude, like take a little bit of this struggle, you know. Well well, might as well be comfortable. It's like okay, I get it. But same thing with like when I'm uncomfortable. When my back's against the wall, like when I have too much work, that's when like the magic happens. Right? When you're you're backed against there, ain't nowhere to go except for forward through whatever problems you got. Like, yeah, I feel like that's the the growth. You gotta go until you fail.
SPEAKER_03Because you had a I guess are you relating this to work?
SPEAKER_04I mean in the moment, yeah, right.
SPEAKER_03Because you you've talked about like, hey, I got a bunch of work coming up, and it you said it's gonna kind of hit you all at once. Are you in the middle of it right now?
SPEAKER_04We're at the beginning. Yeah. So I was supposed to find out on Friday about this the night swing job I'm supposed to do. And then, yeah, it's just if we get that, again, I didn't find out, but if we get that, it's gonna be like, oh crap, I'm gonna go live in Vegas, you know, to try to get it all done. But like, and obviously it's different, my point of view, my perspective, because like you know, the more money I make, the more money I make, right? Yeah, that makes sense. Crazy how that works. Weird. So it's you know, it's easy to be motivated that that way, but it's uh it just sucks when like the whole family wants to go to Idaho for a week, and it's like, well, she goes later, you guys have fun, I gotta go do this.
SPEAKER_03But now is Megan pretty understanding, yeah. Okay, so so if she leaves the like I know, she's not gonna be like, Why why why can't he just come?
SPEAKER_04Yeah, I mean she might, but she wouldn't say it to me.
SPEAKER_03She understands, like, hey, it's not some well, yes, we have this plan, but obviously we gotta pay the bills.
SPEAKER_04Now, to be clear, I haven't ever failed in my mind at work. Like, I got a buddy. We don't fail, we learn. Oh, there you go. Is that a thing? That's a thing. Okay. Like, I got a buddy who's bankrupt two different companies because he just oh, that didn't work. And it's like, dude, I don't like you, dude. You failed. You found where the breaking point is, you found where you ri, you know, and then I'm sure that you've built from there. You know, he's not a quitter kind of a guy, but it's just like, whoa, okay, I haven't got that low. You know what I mean. But like, I just think it's interesting to like just be uncomfortable, put yourself in the uncomfortable situations and then perform. Now, I don't know if that's everybody's perspective or mentality, but yeah, I don't know.
SPEAKER_03No, I'm I'm kind of if it's like work-related, I've kind of always shot like hey, this is my goal, this is where I want to be and where I want to go. And I put myself in spots where like, oh man, I don't really want to do this, but it's worked out in the long run and it's benefited me. But now that I'm running the loader in town, it's kind of it. Yeah, and I don't like it. Yeah, like it's great money and it's great for the family, and it's great for everything, but uh it's kind of it. Like, all right, where where would I go from for what do I do now? I don't have really that goal to achieve.
SPEAKER_04What if you did it in a different avenue, right? Like you got that skiz tier.
SPEAKER_03Mm-hmm. Like, what if you No, and I've always flirted with like I want to start something, I want to go do something on my own. I just don't know how, but I guess that's on me. I need to learn a how. I don't know how, like, I don't know how to go. Like, what does it take? Does it what is it just a business license and I go start something or like what what does it require? I don't know how to do that, but I want to, and I just need to put myself in that situation, you know what I mean?
SPEAKER_04Yeah, yeah. I mean, you already know what to do, you're just negotiating with comfort. You're comfortable, you gotta go figure it out, bro.
SPEAKER_00Bro, yeah, bro.
SPEAKER_04I mean, get the shop up first and then you know, finish the yard and you know, put my shop up.
SPEAKER_03As much as bitching uh I've done about the shop. You know, I get to put a shop up.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, and then you get to come put my shop up. Yeah. Do you have a shop? I have something. Yeah, I need I need someone to pay for the concrete. And then what it means we've talked about this. I mean, you said no, but but I mean we've talked. Yeah. Nice.
SPEAKER_03Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Do you want to keep going?
SPEAKER_03I'll do it. I'll go all freaking night. I know Jeff's going tired, but I'll I just got the when you're gonna be done text.
SPEAKER_04Oh yes. Okay, let's see.
SPEAKER_03Well, if you gotta go, Jeff, you just bounce. But first, I got a few more minutes. While I while it's on my mind, pick up that helmet and sign it.
SPEAKER_04Ooh. Dude, we've let a few people go without. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Is this J H right here? That Justin.
SPEAKER_03Probably cross it out. I mean, it could be Josh Frederick, so be careful.
SPEAKER_02I don't think the JH would be Josh Frederick. You never know. Maybe dyslexia. I don't know. I've never met him, so it could be. No.
SPEAKER_03His is a fancy one up top there that looks like a number one, like a professional athlete's signature.
SPEAKER_02Right. The the only one. Also, the reason I ask is his J looks exactly like mine, so I'm gonna assume that's his. Nice. Wait, which Justin?
SPEAKER_03His brother.
SPEAKER_02Oh, don't shit. Makes sense of slightly so we dude. Talk about thriving. That man is living the dream. He, you know, living up in Reno.
SPEAKER_03Hold her up there, Jeff.
SPEAKER_02He just does bike stuff all the time.
unknownPerfect.
SPEAKER_02Like motorcycle or pedal bike, all the yeah, he races that he does desert races. He gotten way back into mountain biking. Nice. He's got an enduro. He was like into downhill, right? Yeah, he did downhill downhill for a while. He still has the bike, but hasn't ridden in a while. Yeah. But they like two weeks ago, actually, it was Ori's old Kalex110.
SPEAKER_03Well, that's my fault. It blew up.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, it's absolutely his fault because something came apart.
SPEAKER_03Well, so Justin's complaining about to it to Jeff the whole time. That's my fault. And then and then swearing at me. So I'm like, let's call him.
SPEAKER_02Yeah.
SPEAKER_03And then he was all oh yeah, that's it. Okay, Justin.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. He's talking mad shit.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. And then when I apparently on Facebook, it's all smiles.
SPEAKER_02You're intimidating. Yeah. No. But uh, so the engine came apart, so I flew up to Reno to help him rebuild it.
SPEAKER_04And it's a good brother.
SPEAKER_02Yeah, it was a blast. I loved it. But Sunday, he flew me to the airport, or he drove me to the airport, and then he went rode bikes in the mountains. Like going to the airport, that's a that's a day job. Like, and then you go home, we're out, you know, and he's out riding bikes after. We'll go to the airport. This is all day three, dude. We're done. That's that's my task for doing another damn thing.
SPEAKER_03That's awesome. Yeah. Speaking of mountain bikes, dude, I got one and I've yet to take it out. But it's hot, bro. Yeah, but I really want to. I just haven't done it because I've been hiding it from my kid. Well, he I got him one too, so one of these days. When's his birthday? Next week. Okay. You'll give it to him. Yeah, then we'll then I'll wake his ass up. All right, kid. We're training today. Starts today.
SPEAKER_04Are you gonna go race the oh, you're probably working, huh? I'm working. Saturdays suck.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. Plus, I need to order him a radiator, and it's only 130 bucks, but it's like, ugh, it's 130 bucks. Yeah. And then I'll order it last minute. Yeah. Then before the next race. Yeah. Yeah. You'll still get it. Just I don't want to later. Yeah. And it's a 50, and I don't want him to ride the 50 either. Smart.
SPEAKER_04That's broke.
SPEAKER_03Can't ride it. Well, I need to order it. He broke the front lever on the 65 too, so I need to order that too. I've just been lazy.
SPEAKER_04Whatever. Typical.
unknownYep.
SPEAKER_04Jeff, can you tell us the the the story? The was it the Jeep story? The story where you fell out.
SPEAKER_02Oh.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_04You want to talk about that?
SPEAKER_02You know what? There's actually some pretty deep story into that, and I would love to get into all of it. Yeah. I like that. Okay. So me and Dusty Taylor, Sawyer Bullock, and Hayden Waite. We want to go kill pigs in Bunkerville, right? Yep. So we all load up.
SPEAKER_03I've never found a pig back.
SPEAKER_02No, neither did we. Yeah, we tried to catch him once too, yeah. Waste of time. I think it's a myth. But whatever. So we load up in Sawyer's little Toyota pickup. We go out there, uneventful. We come back. I don't remember why we were that way and like Logan Dale. We were coming back to Dusty's house, you know, here on Wells. We're coming the back way. So like we went through the Whipple's pit and all that. Right when we're getting to the pavement, Dusty and I are riding in the back of the truck. We're standing up in the bed. And Sawyer's driving, Hayden's sitting in the passenger seat. When we get to the pavement of Wells, there's a puddle over to the right. Hayden. Hayden tells Sawyer to hit the puddle. So he swerves to hit the puddle. And I fell out of the truck. Hit my head.
SPEAKER_00Oh.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Hematoma right on the top. But they told me if I do it again, I'll die. But so the do you remember that? Oh, I remember all of it. Yeah. Like I remember going off the side of the bed and then being on the ground. I don't really remember hitting it. Yeah, yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_03But did you ever lose consciousness or just for that split second?
SPEAKER_02And then so this was our senior year, I also I believe. A lot of ha lots of stuff happened senior year. I remember we walked over and I sat on Dusty's doorsteps and I just started bawling, bawling because I did I didn't know what was happening.
SPEAKER_01Yeah.
SPEAKER_02And then went to my mom took me to the Quick Hairn when it was in Overton. That remember that Indian person there? Or I don't remember. Anyway, she referred me to go to Mesquite. And then they're like, Well, you need CT scan or whatever. We don't do that here. You need to see a neurosurgeon. We don't have that here, so we're gonna send you up to Miss or to St. George. So we went up there and they got me all undressed and all that. And I I can't remember there if they did the CT scan, but they're like, Oh, we don't actually have a neurosurgeon either. So they put me in an ambulance and took me all the way to Vegas.
SPEAKER_04Oh my god.
SPEAKER_02I stayed there overnight. But so that was that story, but the actual like the meat of it, yeah. So after we didn't find any pigs in Bunkerville, we went over to Mesquite, got little Caesar's Pizza, as you do, you know. Hell yeah. And do you remember is I call them the soccer parks up by like the hospital.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, William Punch the kid there. Yeah.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. We were in the parking lot there. And at that time, you know, Sawyer's truck is who we were in. Sawyer was dating Jesse.
unknownOh.
SPEAKER_02And they were arguing a little bit. And that day I convinced him to send her a text that they should break up.
SPEAKER_03Hell yeah, my man.
SPEAKER_02And he did it. So they broke up that day, and then I fell out of his truck. Oh nice. And then Was he driving? Yeah, Sawyer was driving.
SPEAKER_03Was this a little bit on purpose?
SPEAKER_02No, I doubt it. Well it could have been. I don't know.
SPEAKER_03Were you crushing on Jesse at the time?
SPEAKER_02Absolutely. I don't know how how you know how he made it theme. Probably not. I mean. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Are you in Sawyer good?
SPEAKER_02We were, yeah.
SPEAKER_03I still haven't accepted his friend request out of your respect.
SPEAKER_02I don't think I have either. I hear about him every time I go get my teeth cleaned. His stepmom's my genist. And those conversations are just great. Apparently he moved back to town. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03You know who else? New back to town I haven't seen. I've seen his wife, but White Newman. I haven't seen him.
SPEAKER_00Yeah.
SPEAKER_03I see his truck. Looks like your old one. He's got that nice house off of rice. But yeah, I've seen his wife and kid, but I haven't seen him.
SPEAKER_04I tried to get him to go ride with this a couple times, but nothing new.
SPEAKER_03Oh, he's got a bike?
SPEAKER_04Yeah. So any long-term effects of your head injury?
SPEAKER_02I mean, look at him. I have. I'll give you that one. I feel like I have some memory issues. I don't know if I can blame it on that or just the who I am. Yeah. It's fun to blame it on Sawyer though. Yeah. It's easy to know. This kid did.
SPEAKER_03Have you ever lost consciousness? No. Yeah. Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Yeah. I remember like Yeah, because you couldn't go do lots of stuff because you couldn't hit your head again. Yeah. Yeah. I still feel like you had a lot of fun. Oh.
SPEAKER_02Yeah. Oh yeah. Hey, I'm going to circle back to one of your questions about the being in trouble one. I don't know if this is so much being in trouble, but it's one that's like I'll take that question as like being in a really bad mental place. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03No, that's the same thing.
SPEAKER_02William Sheldon was involved. I'm sorry. And I'm you'll catch on really quick. We're at the fair. I don't remember what led up to it, but I tackled you from the back.
SPEAKER_03Oh, William Blessed.
SPEAKER_02I don't know, but like it was a dirty tackle. Yeah. Like middle of the back, unexpected. I've always felt like shit about that. Really? Oh yeah.
SPEAKER_01He's just confessing. I'm sorry, bro.
SPEAKER_02Like, I've never lived that down. That's what I don't know why I did it.
SPEAKER_04And I I remember I totally forgot about that until you just brought it up. But I you're welcome. I don't think I got mad because it freaking hurt, dude. Like I was I was done. That was it. Like took me out, bro. I've had back problems ever since. Yeah. You can you can build me. You won't get anything out of it. Make you feel horrible. Oh, geez.
SPEAKER_03If we're gonna omit stuff, I'll I'll gonna admit something to you.
SPEAKER_04There we go. Oh geez. I forgive you. Thank you, William, for taking it. That means a lot to me. Yeah. Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, totally set you up on that jump second year.
SPEAKER_04Well, I know that.
SPEAKER_03So no, so uh I guess I guess like yeah, William Blacken Al, it was like, oh yeah, William's bipolar growing up, right? So was it Brian and I? Like, we're gonna make William go bipolar.
SPEAKER_02Oh, try to trigger me? Trigger bipolar. Cool.
SPEAKER_03We were in we're gonna I for we were wrestling or something in your dad's shop, and it was you and Brian, I think, or you and someone, it was four of us. I can't remember the four who the fourth person was. But we were wrestling, it wasn't me, me or you. It was I want to say you and Brian.
SPEAKER_04It was me and Brian.
SPEAKER_03Okay.
SPEAKER_04Yep. And then my dad had this little workout like pad. Like it wasn't very big, probably the size of a car. Like, yeah.
SPEAKER_03Brian and I are like, hey, let's go mess with Will. And we were trying to trigger you, and it worked.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, because you throw them into a fridge.
SPEAKER_04No, it was the side of my dad's Mini Cooper.
SPEAKER_03Oh, that's right.
SPEAKER_04Put a fat dent in the door with his head.
SPEAKER_03Yeah. I'll take sorry, Brian. I'll take the L on that one. That was my bad. Yeah. It wasn't my bad. It was Brian saying we should do this. And I'm, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Whatever, Brian. Whatever. Whatever. I'm pretty good. Yeah, that's like Casey. So I I apologize for that.
SPEAKER_04No, that was a me and my dad just like after that. I was in trouble. I had to pay to fix a car.
SPEAKER_02Send him a bill.
SPEAKER_04Alright. Again, it won't get paid. Well, thanks for triggering me. Don't do that anymore. No track. I don't know. In the last 10 years? Maybe.
SPEAKER_03I don't know. I don't know.
SPEAKER_04Maybe you just back to head.
SPEAKER_03No. You're stronger than me now, but I'm still gonna kick your ass when you wrestle. We'll see. Yeah. And the other time William blacked out, I mean, I may have rolled his dad's razor. I didn't black out. That's fine. Yeah. Oh, speaking of throwing your bike to the road. Oh, dude. You and Chase. The same thing. You're a little frustrated.
unknownYeah.
SPEAKER_04I came to a phone complete stop though and then threw it.
SPEAKER_03Dude, it was it's pretty funny though, because I I think about that quote quite often. Like when I'm at work or what just randomly. William, I'll pay for it. I'll pay for it. How, Ori! You don't have a job or money. Yeah, he's right. Hey, Dad. How Ori. Oh man. I thought we're never gonna recover for that one. That was the That was the one, dude.
SPEAKER_02Did you break his bike, Ori?
SPEAKER_03No.
SPEAKER_04No, he rolled my dad's ribbon that I wasn't supposed to let anybody drive.
SPEAKER_03We'll tell this story. Yeah, put it all on me. All right. There's a little bit on you, buddy. A little bit.
SPEAKER_04I told you don't wreck it.
SPEAKER_03Look who you let drive it.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, dude. Well.
SPEAKER_03Okay.
SPEAKER_04So little did I know.
SPEAKER_03So earlier that day, we're at school and we're like, No, that's on me. Hey, we're gonna we're gonna go out at the res. We're gonna film each other because we're all into the nitro circus thing. Oh yeah.
SPEAKER_02We thought we were so fast.
SPEAKER_03All day, all day, William. It's like, hey, I'm gonna let you drive the razor. Do not do not wreck it. Don't wreck it. Yeah, bruh. Yeah, yeah. I know how to drive. So it's your fault. You're going super fast on the single trail. You're flying. All right. I'm trying to keep up. Casey Rawson, my buddy Casey. Sorry. Can't say last night. It's in the passenger seat. And I'm hauling up, but trying to keep up with Will. He's on the 09 450, one of the best bikes ever made.
SPEAKER_04No.
SPEAKER_03No.
SPEAKER_04I was on the Honda. I was on the two fit. No. It was a blue bike.
SPEAKER_03It was a blue bike.
SPEAKER_04All right.
SPEAKER_03Maybe senior year. Okay. Yeah, I think so.
SPEAKER_04Oh, you're right. That would have been an 09 razor. So yeah, you're right. Damn it. I hate when that happens. Ah, I love it.
SPEAKER_03So he's flying, right? And and trying to keep up. And apparently there was no like slowdown if you didn't have a seatbelt on. Because Casey's seatbelt wasn't on yet. He finally puts it on and he's trying to fiddle with the camera to film Will. And we come up over a little rise right before the power plant, right here on the power line road, back behind our old transfer station.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, yeah. Right. It doesn't generate power. Right.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, yeah, yeah. The that one. And so a little bit of a rise and it kind of a curve to the right. And William's going really fast. Really good on dirt bike. Right? All right. Just trying to keep up with my buddy.
SPEAKER_02Can confirm.
SPEAKER_03Okay. The front end raises a little bit. And I'm turning with the curve. Not realizing the front tires are off the ground. And when it lands, tires are turned.
unknownWhoop!
SPEAKER_03Right over. And we go, we we we start to go over, and I'm like, I got this. Put my arm out. I'm gonna stop this shit.
SPEAKER_04You're gonna catch it. We're doing 60.
SPEAKER_03And luckily I didn't get my arm pinched, but it flips over one and a half times. I think, I think I was I I ended up. It could have been six.
SPEAKER_04It doesn't matter.
SPEAKER_03Either way, either way, I was on top, and I don't know how quickly I got out. I didn't even check on Casey. William, I'm sorry.
SPEAKER_00William, it wasn't, I didn't mean to do it.
SPEAKER_04And I'm all the way at the big old thing. I turned back around. I'm like, where are they at? And I'm like, oh my. He just out in the bushes. Yeah. Yeah. It's like, no, no. My dad's gonna kill me.
SPEAKER_03He just takes the bike, throws it on the ground. I'm like, oh shit, he's mad. Oh no. And like, and then I'm just what and he rides over it, and I'm like, I'm sorry, dude. I'm bro, bro, I'm so sorry. I didn't mean to, I promise. I don't pay for it, dude. I'll pay for it. How are you gonna pay for it, Ori? You don't have a job or money. Or money. Yeah, you're right, but I'm sorry, dude.
SPEAKER_04And then uh, yeah, and then and then it was like, okay, well, how are we gonna solve the situation? Flip it over and everything calmed down. Sure, it was fine. And then they just occasionally tweaked. Yeah, Stacy bought me a new cage. Thanks, Stacey. Did you ever pay Stacy back for that? Sure. I remember it being like six, seven hundred dollars.
SPEAKER_03Uh yeah. Anyways, uh anyways, we we got him a new cage, but it wasn't the cage, yeah, yeah, whatever. I don't know how that, but then uh yeah, then then we beefed for a little bit because what's being mean to me. Well, rightfully so. Well, children, you know, as children do. Yeah. And then I I'm sure I've been I'm sure I was mean back. I don't know.
SPEAKER_04Yeah, you were. Yeah, you were look at you now.
SPEAKER_03Look at us now!
SPEAKER_04Here we are podcasting every week. Into the just the void, just nobody's crazy.
SPEAKER_03It's been three years. I've listened to one. Did you?
SPEAKER_04Yeah, Justin's just nice, nice, and people get upset when we miss a when we miss one. Yeah, yeah. We have some listeners who get aggressive. Really? Yeah.
SPEAKER_02So how many steady listeners do you have? Like 40. Yeah. Pretty good.
SPEAKER_04That's pretty good. Okay. That was one of those, like you your kid brings you a drawing and it's just like scribbles, and you're like, wow. You want to say what is it? You know, it's like, tell me about it.
SPEAKER_02You want to put this one on the fridge?
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_01Do you think this is good? This is shit.
SPEAKER_03Oh. Yeah, and I've told this story too. Freaking my dad, like, I make something, right? Like, he he I've told this story way too many times. But I make a little house pad when I'm five years old. I tell my dad, hey, is this good? He says, about as good as Joe's. And I was like, Oh, is Joe's good? No, he sucks. So he made sure I sent him a Snapchat of I dug a trench for my power for my shop. And I sent it, he's like, he said curve to the left. No, he said, look at that straight trench, way better than Joe's. He said, Oh, really? And then they're like, now you're being a jerk. I know that's sarcasm. I know that's yeah, yeah. Stupid. But no, dad will freak out if it's not up by Sunday. He'll he'll yeah, yeah. He's so he's our biggest fan.
SPEAKER_04Stacey needs something to listen to. Yeah, that's why we're here.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, and he'll like this one because he every every week. They need to be longer. Oh, really? Oh, every week. That's awesome. Yeah.
SPEAKER_04Well, and like I feel like we had some personal stories. Like, I was just ready to get over the race crap. Let me know. Let's just talk. Me too. Yeah, yeah.
SPEAKER_03It's a lot. I mean, we lost Derek an hour ago.
SPEAKER_04Oh, yeah, yeah. Anyways. But it's okay. We don't do this for Derek. Cool. Like sometimes. Yeah. Sometimes.
SPEAKER_03Sometimes.
SPEAKER_04Yeah.
SPEAKER_03Oh, uh but speaking about like the 40 listeners, I asked. I was talking to Austin today. He's like, when you didn't do another episode. I'm like, every week he was like, oh. Oh. He's like, that's too much. I didn't ask him which one which one he listened to, but it was funny. All right. Uh thanks for listening to True Goon Podcast. Thanks, Jeff, for coming. Absolutely. Thanks for having me.

SPEAKER_03And you want to thank Megan? I would like to thank you, Lee. I love my wife, people. I feel like the jerk. I really like being a dad. And then FMK.
SPEAKER_02Screw being a dad. Being a husband's way cooler.
SPEAKER_03It was very cool. It's very cool. I love my least and looks like that.
SPEAKER_02Well, show it then. Yeah. Hey, Ori, I feel like you're a good dad. I've seen you be a dad.
SPEAKER_03Thanks, buddy. But but my point was, I would like to be a good husband.
SPEAKER_04I've seen you be shitty at both of those.
SPEAKER_03Fair. Fair. I yeah. Alright. Well, hold on. I need to make it stop. Make it stop.
SPEAKER_04Pace.
