True Goon Productions presents Goon Garage.

SPEAKER_01

Are you ready? Ready. Welcome to the Goon Garage, Orion William. Alright, listen to these words. And I would give up forever to touch you. And I'd give up forever. Okay, good. Alright, another, another easy, another easy one. Easy. You are my fire. You my fire. I tried to give two.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, that was cool. I know both of those. Good. Do you want a title for them? Because I don't know. I might have to sing the whole song before I I want it that way. Backstreet Boys.

SPEAKER_01

Backstreet Boys, which you won't get the other one.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Do you know who it's by though?

SPEAKER_00

What was it again? Sing it.

SPEAKER_01

And I'd give up forever.

SPEAKER_00

Lifehouse?

SPEAKER_01

No.

SPEAKER_00

Oh that was just swing for fence. Think of a baby. Baby blue. Goo goo gaga. What? Is that who it was?

SPEAKER_01

No. Oh, oh. Google dolls. Goo goo dolls. Yeah. I wouldn't have got that one. Iris.

SPEAKER_00

Yep. No, I wouldn't have got that one. But I do know the song. Yeah. Nice. That was funny. You try to say it like not with the I was like, oh now, that sounds weird when you say it like that. Nice. Look at you coming in prepared with the with the shots.

SPEAKER_01

Welcome back to the Goon Garage. We we started to go off on a tangent on TGP and we shut it down. And now it's Wednesday for y'all.

SPEAKER_00

We reeled it back in, saved it for this pod.

SPEAKER_01

And this is just random stuff.

SPEAKER_00

So uh well, do you want to talk about what we're getting off on that? We were getting off on? Yeah, well, what were what were we getting off on? Toy Story 5, dude.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, you didn't cry.

SPEAKER_00

No, which part? When Jesse like had closure from her kid? Maybe up by the tree.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I cried dead.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, is that what it was?

SPEAKER_01

I dude, I yeah, yeah. Because we were we were Andy when the first one came out. Yeah. And we grew up. Yeah. And then now we have the kid. Oh no, you know what got me was the the the little girl not being able to make friends with the other girl. The kids are like, I just want my kid to have friends. Then they made friends. Screw you, little willy bad.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, you're like, crap, my kid's got a willy bad. Yeah, yeah. Yeah. So Luke went and saw it with you guys. He told me about your crying.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, yeah. Did he?

unknown

No.

SPEAKER_01

Okay.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, great. No, it'd be really weird. Yeah, are we crying most of the time?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, not allowed over there anymore.

SPEAKER_00

Shut it down. So he didn't really want to go again, but we were going again as a family. So we're like, we all went. And I asked him after you had gone, he was like, hey, how was it? He's like, uh, it was like about screens, and like they didn't really go anywhere or do anything. Like it was kind of boring. I was like, oh, okay. So I was like going into it, thinking, like, okay, this is gonna be about screens, kind of boring. Didn't do it, dude. I loved it. I thought it was great. Just like another, yeah. I don't know. They like it wasn't quite as like intense as when they're gonna get burned and yeah, that one was pretty crazy. Yeah, like whoa. But no, dude, I'm a Toy Story fan. Yeah, you know, like we talked about, Jesse's voice is different. I called it out to Megan right away, and she's like, Oh, why'd you have to say something?

SPEAKER_01

I'm like, I think I might have thought something, like there's something off.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I'll have to look it up and see if it's different. But but yeah, yeah, no, that's that was the tangent. That's all it was.

SPEAKER_01

The same voice actor that does uh Mrs. Incredible.

SPEAKER_00

I don't know. Let me look it up.

SPEAKER_01

I thought it was the same person because in real life, she's kind of ugly. But then you got Mrs. Incredible, who's thick with two C's. And she's Bendy, and here we go down the earth. All right, uh and you can find me on a registry somewhere, and I'll be knocking on the doors.

SPEAKER_00

You guys, I gotta eat my words here. Jesse's voice and Toy Story Vibe is provided by the same actress, maybe she does Jonah Kog C U Sack, Cusak, who has voiced the character since Toy Story 2. However, many viewers have noticed her voice sounds notably older and more strained, which is a result of natural aging and the actress's voice of nearly 30 years she's played the role. All right, my bad. She's just gotten old. Weird. All right, jeez.

SPEAKER_01

You better tell me again right now, Texas. I'll text you. I was wrong. I'm sorry.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, so you wanted me to figure out if Jonah Cuxsack. Yeah, all right. I'll try to figure out what it is. She's 63. Yeah, she's a yeah, she's grandma. Okay. Google Mrs.

SPEAKER_01

Incredible.

SPEAKER_00

She's not the same.

SPEAKER_01

No, not the same.

SPEAKER_00

I'm not who it is. I don't know who it is, but she's not.

SPEAKER_01

Voice actor. Nope, Holly Hunter.

SPEAKER_00

Different.

SPEAKER_01

I was wrong.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

I don't know. I might get fact-checked.

SPEAKER_00

Holly's pretty old. Dude, this this is we're just garage talk, dude. It don't matter. There is no fact checking in garage talk. Never know. Do you want to fight us about motor? That's fine. Derek will come out swinging. No, you're wrong about it. Toy Story came out and okay. I got a random one for you that might kind of be fun. Just right out of the gate here. Yeah. Just weird. So would you rather be able to fly three feet off the ground is all. So hover. Yeah, hover three feet off the ground. Or be able to teleport to places that you've pooped before.

SPEAKER_01

Oh I kind of want to teleport.

SPEAKER_00

Have you pooped in some pretty cool places?

SPEAKER_01

Pooped in different countries? Yeah. Hey, I want to go to I want to go to Insenata today. In the bathroom to poop to go there.

SPEAKER_00

Yes. So you double down. You have to like while pooping, and then you end up on the same toilet, even if somebody's on it, so you might be sh pooping on them.

SPEAKER_01

Yes.

SPEAKER_00

Or getting pooped on.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. Oh. I saw a video.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, okay. That's not a good pivot.

SPEAKER_01

Okay. Well, I saw a video uh of these firefighters of the a bunch of Damiens, right? This guy had crawled in on a construction site into the porta potty inside of the poop thing, and the firefighters were pissed. They're like screaming, what the F are you doing? And then they took a salzole. He's like, I can't get out, I can't get out. Just some crazy homeless guy. Yeah. And they like sawzalled a little spot and then they're like, get out, and then just let the guy go. Like, I mean, I don't I there's gotta be, dude, that dude needs to go to the go to the hospital. You're not mentally right.

SPEAKER_00

Ugh, dude. At least spray him off.

SPEAKER_01

It was just all firefighters on there. No, no cops or anything. And I was like, all right, I think the cops should be here.

SPEAKER_00

Some things like that, firefighters can handle.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, they totally totally can have that.

SPEAKER_00

Dude, perfect. See, this is a good pivot. I mean, that was good. I thought you were going somewhere weird, but that was great. Um, cops, dude. Like, tell tell us about your first ticket that I got.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. What?

unknown

Okay.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, tell us about your first ticket.

SPEAKER_00

How old you were? What were you doing? How scared you were?

SPEAKER_01

I was 16 years old.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, legally able to drive. I like it.

SPEAKER_01

Yep. And we were going to, it was it was winter formal.

SPEAKER_00

So are you driving?

SPEAKER_01

My uncle's Ram 3500. It's a manual. Right? White. Lifted. Lifted with spray brushed blue flames.

SPEAKER_00

Yes. The truck was sick, dude. I thought it was dope. Truck was pretty good. For a minute there, I thought flames were cool, and that's about the time I thought. Yeah. Okay, I remember this.

SPEAKER_01

So I took.

SPEAKER_00

Can I guess? Yeah. Were you doing 70 up dead man?

SPEAKER_01

Coming down.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, dang it. Yeah. Were we together? No. Jeff was.

SPEAKER_01

Did Jeff say he was a? I don't know. I don't remember.

SPEAKER_00

Anyways, Kate. So you're in this sick truck. Dude, you're going to winter formal.

SPEAKER_01

Guess who I took?

SPEAKER_00

Jesse. Nope. Katie. Nope. Close.

SPEAKER_01

But that same group same parents. Same one. Ariel Perez. Oh, Ariel. Cool. Yeah. Was she a good time? No.

unknown

Oh.

SPEAKER_01

No, not at all. Like, she was she's very cute. I'm friends with her still, but like we didn't have fun. She was. Well, first off, remember Joe's thing? Yeah. You had to go over there and you had to like write an application to date his daughter. Okay.

SPEAKER_00

Well, and you're just going to a dance, right? Like you're a boyfriend girlfriend.

SPEAKER_01

So the way it happened, to me, Ariel was a kind of a popular chick and kind of out of my league, right?

SPEAKER_00

Yes, for sure.

SPEAKER_01

And so I didn't even think about asking her. Well, no one asked her. So Katie asked me, I think Katie and Jesse, I think made the kitty, hey, can you ask Ariel to dance? Uh no one's asked her. Okay. So, of course, I have to go ask Joe. And I go over there and I I forget what I did to ask her, but then I sit down with Joe and I fill out this application. Like in front of them? Yeah. And then we sit down, like me to you, and man to man, we gotta have a talk. And it's like, what's your intentions with my daughter? And I'm like, I'm taking her to a dance.

SPEAKER_00

Because her friend asked me to.

SPEAKER_01

Well, I didn't say that, but I know, I know, I know. Well, what are you gonna do on your date? We're gonna go, we're gonna go to Mesquite. I forget what we did. Go have uh lunch and maybe go bowling or something. Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

And then typical 16-year-old stuff.

SPEAKER_01

Come back, go to the dance, have a good time. What do you mean by have a good time? Sir, I'm gonna bang your daughter. No, I the hell of a big thing.

SPEAKER_00

Which that wasn't the intent, right? I mean, this is an aerial thing.

SPEAKER_01

No, like I honestly I didn't think I ever had a chance with Ariel. Yeah, you know what I mean? I never really had a crush on her or anything like that. Very cute, very cute girl. But yeah, I never liked her like that. Yeah. So I don't know, Joe. Like, I'm gonna impregnate your daughter tonight.

SPEAKER_00

Do you imagine if you would have said that? You'd have been dead right then.

SPEAKER_01

Oh yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Because he would chase us in like night games and stuff.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. Which in a way ended up being a I mean, I'm kind of a bad thing. We just I we stopped hanging out with her because of her dad. Because of her dad. Yeah. And I mean, I don't know if that's good or bad for her, but I mean she obviously turned out just fine. Yeah, she didn't need us. But anyway, carry on.

SPEAKER_01

But we go on the date, and then we go to the dance, and I st okay, I'm still on that. But she kind of ignored me the whole time. Like, and once we got like she kind of brushed me off during the day date, and then at the dance itself, see ya. Yeah, I was hanging out with a different group, and I'm like, all right, I spent what little money I had, and you just kind of ignore me the whole time. But we take that truck, I forget who's with me. I think Jeff was with me. Jeff might have took Marsha? No, no, it was it was cheerleader. So maybe Katie was there. I can't remember. I just remember getting it.

SPEAKER_00

Are you guys rolling six deep in the truck? Yes. Nice. It's all of us. Yep. Boys out front, girls in back.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. We're up in mesquite and we go to dinner or lunch, and then we're supposed to go bowling, I think. And right when we get to the bowling, they're like, hey, we have cheer practice. Oh, when? 15 minutes. I'm like, why didn't you tell me this before?

SPEAKER_00

And why would they have it on the day of the dance?

SPEAKER_01

And so I'm 16, and I'm like, we gotta get them back. We gotta get them back. So I'm driving like a complete ass. And I'm as fast as this truck will go, like 110, 120, as 115, and just apparently had the death wobble too.

SPEAKER_00

Well, I bet it was like had at least a six, eight inch lift on it. Yeah, huge tires.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, but I never got it, thank, thankfully, because I would have killed us all.

SPEAKER_00

And set it through the fence off the freeway.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, and like, dude, I'm coming 100 miles an hour up on people, just right on their bumper, move, just get out of the way. I'm I'm in a big truck.

SPEAKER_00

Did anybody in the truck say anything? Like, hey, dude, maybe they're okay if they're late or nothing. They were all for it.

SPEAKER_01

No, they're they they no one said anything. Yep, yep. Oh, we're gonna be in so much trouble because we're gonna be late, is what I was hearing. Yeah, and oh, I'm now it's my responsibility to get up there. Superhero Orient to the rescue. Hammered down. We get all the way to the exit, we get off the exit, we're going up dead man's, and I go around the corner and I'm pinning it down the hill. And I see NHP rolling towards me. I go, and he got me at 71 in a 55, which I was going much faster. Oh, really? So by the time he's oh hit his little button and we assume, yeah. Yeah, turn around, and and so this is my first ticket, not the first time I got pulled over.

SPEAKER_00

But yeah, oh okay. First ticket. Okay.

SPEAKER_01

I pull right next to the mortuary, he walks up.

SPEAKER_00

What's your what's your thoughts going through this?

SPEAKER_01

Like, oh, I'm aft. Like, dude, I'm you're nervous. I'm nervous, I'm for sure getting a ticket. I ruined the whole day. I'm a kid, I'm 16.

SPEAKER_00

Yep. Hold on. One question. Did Joe ever say anything about the safety of his daughter?

SPEAKER_01

I'm sure. Okay.

SPEAKER_00

Did that ever no? No. Who cares? The girls are the back. Okay, cool, cool. Yeah. Okay.

SPEAKER_01

You're I'm 16. I'm not thinking.

SPEAKER_00

No.

SPEAKER_01

Which I 1000% deserve this ticket. Yeah. And so he goes, he goes up, and what are you doing? You're driving way too fast. Yes, sir. Sorry, sir. Give me your stuff. I gave him my license and bounce ventures. Yeah. Stop. He goes back, he's taking forever. I'm like, I'm all right, he's writing me a ticket. Comes back, hands me it, and he wrote me for the full thing.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, nice. 15, 16 over. Yeah. Wow.

SPEAKER_01

Writes me for the full thing, and it was 250 bucks in 2008.

SPEAKER_00

Okay.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. Which not a lot now, but back then it was like, oh my gosh, 250 bucks, and I don't have money to pay for this. And my parents don't have any money either because they're it's 2008 and they don't have zero work. So you have like six weeks before court.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

And this is in the wintertime. You know what we do in between those six weeks? We go to scout camp with William Sheldon. He invites me, he invites me up there, right? And we we go up to Mount Charleston with the Joneses, and we got this big inner tube. And we go to the top of the hill, and we're all gonna ride on this inner tube down the hill. And there's one tree at the bottom of the hill. And I say, William, you think we'll hit that tree? I'm a hundred percent positive we're not gonna hit that tree. Okay, I trust him. Yeah, trust William with my life. That was stupid. All right. Halfway down the hill. Another bad is halfway down the hill. Everyone jumps off the inner tube, which turns me and Casey.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, because we're headed straight towards the freaking hill.

SPEAKER_01

Turns me to where my back's towards it. David Brandon, I think it's just David Brandon. Okay. And we smack the tree and I break my hip. I fracture it in two different places.

SPEAKER_00

Supposedly, I never saw the film. I don't know.

SPEAKER_01

Anyways, we didn't have we didn't have health insurance. So I lay the it okay. Let me back up. I hit the tree, William comes over. You alright? And of course I'm gonna say I'm all right. Yeah, I'm fine, dude. Keep going. Oh and you guys keep sledding or whatever you do.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, tubing. Yeah, it was great.

SPEAKER_01

I lay in the snow for like an hour. If it it feels like an hour, it's just miserable. And then we stayed the night, or did we go home that day? I'm sure we went home that day, bro. Ah, I feel like we stayed the night. But um, no, maybe we went home that night. I don't remember.

SPEAKER_00

But I remember we did stay at night, didn't we?

SPEAKER_01

I could not walk. I couldn't stand. You guys finally come back, and you're like, dude, are you okay? Get up. And I can't. Oh, okay. And then you take me back to camp and rust.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, I carried you back by myself. No, the friend group. Oh, dang it. Yeah, threw me on your shoulders. Dude, Russ. Anything, that's what you needed. You need to sit in the snow, let the freaking hip ice over.

SPEAKER_01

So Russ is like, oh crap, I'm taking Ori back to his parents broken.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, right. Whatever.

SPEAKER_01

So we didn't have health insurance, I think. Or yeah. So we went to the chiropractor to get uh x-rays. The local one, Staley, and he x-rays it's like, yeah, there's two like hairline fractures in your hip.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, you're fine.

SPEAKER_01

So, anyways, the six weeks pass, I have to go to court. And how am I gonna pay for this ticket? I obviously I don't have money to pay for it, so I gotta do community service. So I walk up to they call my name and they I walk up to the judge, and they're like, Ori woods, and I hobble up there with some crutches, right? And they're like, All right, how do you how do you plan on how do you plan on paying for this? Community service? And the judge is like, you sure? Because you can't walk. Yeah, you can't walk. Well, he didn't say that. He said, are you sure? Because you look injured, I'm like, I'll be healed. So I I said, I'll fit I'll I'll be okay or something that I think. So he gives me community service, and it was like, I think you got paid. Only had to do like 10 hours. Wasn't bad at all.

SPEAKER_00

So wow, you didn't pay bank for those 10 hours, dude. 250 bucks, you said?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, 10 hours of service. It was either it was either 10 hours of service or or two 150 bucks. Yeah. All right, 25 bucks an hour, I'll take it. Yeah, so I uh I went and cleaned the graves, graveyard, and and like mowed the lawn and raked up some stuff and polished the graves and then like built a fire or anyways. Nice, yeah, paid it off, and we're good to go. Nice.

SPEAKER_00

First ticket.

SPEAKER_01

Wow, long drawn out story.

SPEAKER_00

Did uh was the dirt pig pissed? Like about the ticket. No, no, no, uncle, dude. Why are you hot riding my truck around?

SPEAKER_01

No, I mean now he probably would be because uh we don't barely get along very much, but different situations, but but in the moment nobody was mad.

SPEAKER_00

Nice. Joe never got mad at you for putting his dog.

SPEAKER_01

Okay, well, he didn't uh Ariel must not say anything.

SPEAKER_00

Well, you dropped her off and never saw her again, so that's fine.

SPEAKER_01

So good that there's not life 360, because yeah, can you imagine looking on that app? 115. Yeah, right.

SPEAKER_00

Yikes, nice dude.

SPEAKER_01

So that pretty pretty good.

SPEAKER_00

15 over could have been worse.

SPEAKER_01

The first time I'll take it though, I think I think it was.

SPEAKER_00

I can't remember. Just keep with that.

SPEAKER_01

First time I got pulled over, though, it was the day before state in football. And I went over to Travis's after football practice, and the tradition was if before state, for good luck, you had to wear your football helmet while you drive home. Okay, I wore it home or wore it over to Travis's, and then later that night I'm going home, and there's people playing at the ball fields.

SPEAKER_00

What are we driving?

SPEAKER_01

The S10.

SPEAKER_00

The mighty S10.

SPEAKER_01

The mighty S10. And I got my helmet on. I'm doing probably 50 and a 35.

SPEAKER_00

And I'm Dude, I think it was 25 then. Oh, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Which it should, yeah. I'm a hauling ass. And I'm blaring the horn with my football helmet on me. Yeah, because I see my friends at the at the ball practice driving like a complete idiot. And I'm sure everyone's sure the the cops in the town knew the S10 because oh, it's a crappy truck.

SPEAKER_00

Red S10. Yeah. Yeah, 19 S. Oh, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Some some a 92 S10 and some teenagers driving it. So I'm sure they know that truck.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

So the cops pulling out of that right there out of that subdivision. Subdivision. Yep. And I pass him, and I'm like, crap. And I he must not have got a radar on me, because he probably just visually saw me. Now that I'm talking about it, I'm like, oh okay, that's probably what happened. Yeah. He probably just saw me driving like an idiot. And I mean, he could have got me on the horn. And so yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Because there's nothing against right wearing football helmets while you drive, right?

SPEAKER_01

No, but that's okay. I see the helmet, I see him, I'm like, oh, and I take the helmet off, and he pulls me over, and he walks up, and I'm nervous in sale, and he's like, Let me see your license. And I can't get it out, dude. It's my wallet's tight. I'm like, can you get it for me? No way. You asked. I'm like, sir, I can't get it. Can you get it? He's like, no, you get it. Okay. It takes me like a minute. Just my hands are shaking.

SPEAKER_00

I'm like, you're sweating. You're sweating profusely.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, that's and then he like goes back, runs it, comes back, stop being an idiot, and sends me home. Nice.

SPEAKER_00

Thank you, officer. No, that's hilarious. Did you win the football game?

SPEAKER_01

We did.

SPEAKER_00

Okay. All right. So I was worried about the bad because you took your helmet off.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Maybe that was the bad luck.

SPEAKER_01

No, that was junior year. Senior year, they went to state. I didn't play because I had a broken leg.

SPEAKER_00

But did you really have a broken leg, or is this a no the femur?

SPEAKER_01

Oh guys. Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Uh All right, that one we know is real. Okay, all right.

SPEAKER_01

And so I just didn't play football that year because I don't want to re-enter it. Yeah. But yeah, I guess we lost our senior year. Gotcha.

SPEAKER_00

Anyways, that was my first ticket. Yeah. Life, life altering to lose that game. All right, hold on. How many tickets have you had, Ori? Oh. One, two, three.

SPEAKER_02

Three. That's it.

SPEAKER_00

Three. That's pretty good.

SPEAKER_01

I think four.

SPEAKER_00

Four. You just said three.

SPEAKER_01

That's four.

SPEAKER_00

Four. Okay. Yeah. When how long ago was the the last one? Has it been a minute?

SPEAKER_01

The last ticket I got, yes. I was 19.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, all right. So more than a decade ago.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, yeah. Working up at in Cedar. And I was pulling a mini excavator, and I don't even remember what I did. Nice. Um, I think I had a tail light out or something like that.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, guy was bored.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

And then he wrote you up.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. And I was in a work truck. And then he he's and then I had my my CDL. And then he wants, he wants, he's like, where's your log for the day? I'm like, I'm taking this from one job to the other, and it's a Dodge 3500. Yeah, this is not a I'm not a commercial. He's like, Yeah, yeah, you are. You have a it says your work company on here, you have a class A, you're pulling this amount of like this weight. I'm like, really, dude. And he writes me a ticket, and I gave it to luckily, I gave it to my boss, and the company took care of it. So hopefully I don't have a warrant out in Utah, but but they they must take care of it. Nice. So yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. Nice. You still have a CDL? Yes. Wow. There you go. Nice. All right, here. Hold on. I got another couple. Smiling, that's not good. Well, I think we've talked about this briefly, but I just wait, how many ticks have you had? How many have I had? Yeah. I got my first one when I was 12 on a motorcycle. Because you ran from the cops. That's what they said.

SPEAKER_01

No, you started running, your train came off.

SPEAKER_00

Gas. Gas wasn't on. Ah. Yeah. Um shoot. Yeah, 10 hours community service, similar, except for I served up ice cream at the fair, actually, enjoyed it. Let's see. Dude, maybe four? Maybe. Yeah. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

We were tied.

SPEAKER_00

I got. I'm gonna beat you. Yeah, I'd be I've had one more recently. I got one in Alamo in I don't know, 2020, probably.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, yeah. Well, was that the last one? No, I take that back. That wasn't my last one.

SPEAKER_00

Oh.

SPEAKER_01

My my last one was in Alamo or Caliente.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, so now you're beating me. All right. No, no, no.

SPEAKER_01

No, no, but I was counting those in my head. But you asked me most recent. Those two. I was at a race with my brother, and you know where it goes from 25 to 50? Yeah, yeah, yeah. I was going too fast, and I get pulled over by this old man. He gives me a ticket. I'm like, really? And then we're going home that day, and we're doing set, it's 70, and I was doing 80. Right? So this guy's coming the other way, turns around. It's a sheriff, not even NHP. And he turns around. Both of them super nice, very professional. He goes back and gives me a ticket for 10 over. I'm like, really? Both these guys?

SPEAKER_00

Wait, you got two in one day?

SPEAKER_01

Two in one day. And the old guy, it was an older guy, then there was a younger guy on the second one. Yeah. It's father and son.

SPEAKER_00

Was it that's hilarious. I wonder if that ever came up at the dinner table.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, for sure. It came up during court? No, uh, when I was applying for the mine.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, really? Yeah. That's funny.

SPEAKER_01

They said, Oh, you're the guy with two tickets on one day. Like, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Yep.

SPEAKER_01

And it was father and son.

SPEAKER_00

Yep. Here it is. That's awesome.

SPEAKER_01

I didn't mean to cut you off, but.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, no, no, no. You're good. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Moving over for emergency vehicles.

SPEAKER_01

So, like, if so, that was yours last?

SPEAKER_00

Do you no, no, no, no? Oh. No. Because there's not even a law. It doesn't matter.

SPEAKER_01

It is law.

SPEAKER_00

So, like when an ambulance is coming at you down a two-lane road, there's nothing impeding his movement to the direction he's going. I don't care.

SPEAKER_01

Get off the road.

SPEAKER_00

Really?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Okay. How far in front of the vehicle coming at you are you supposed to get over? Like the second you see it?

SPEAKER_01

You're supposed to slow down. Like, if it's hundreds of yards down the road, no, wait till you get within like 100 yards.

SPEAKER_00

All right. So we're coming down the hill right here, dead man into the valley. We're at like the mortuary. Uh huh. Here comes an ambulance. Way down at Bowman Road. I mean, that's like a mile.

SPEAKER_01

That's a long way.

SPEAKER_00

Mini van in front of me. Panic throws it in the dirt. So I just pass him in the the turn lane and just keep on going. So like, am I supposed to stop even though the dumbass in front of me stops a mile early?

unknown

Yes.

SPEAKER_00

Like, really? Okay. Alright.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. I'm done. I'm done that paperwork.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah? You've so okay hold on. So somebody you're going to an emergency. Somebody doesn't pull over for you. You ditch the emergency and then pull him over?

SPEAKER_01

No, no, no, no, no.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, okay. Okay. Like. I mean, not that you're even. I mean, just metaphorically speaking.

SPEAKER_01

On one of those things, on one of those, it's the the couple times I've done it is I'm not going to that call. And maybe the ambulance like is going through an intersection, someone blows to the intersection when and it it holds them up. Or they're trying to get around someone, they're just not pulling over.

SPEAKER_00

And then yeah. Now, any idea? I don't, I mean, this is these are random questions. You probably don't even know the answers, but are fire engines only and ambulances, are they only allowed to go a certain speed over the speed limit? Any idea?

SPEAKER_01

I can answer for a loader.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

A loader is 20 over. I don't know about, but that's that that's the the mind's policy.

SPEAKER_00

Gotcha. So if a loader is going 20 over the speed limit, or is allowed to go 20 over the posted speed limit.

SPEAKER_02

Okay.

SPEAKER_00

Okay. We're coming home from Vegas after work. I see it from like the speedway. There's flashy lights way up there. Alright, cool. I'm gaining on these flashy lights, gaining on these flashy lights. All right. I'm doing 82, like whoopty do in a 75.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Well, we get up to almost loves. It's still three lanes right there. Homeboy's got his lights on in a fire truck.

SPEAKER_01

In a fire truck.

SPEAKER_00

Fire truck. Big old rig. No siren, just lights.

SPEAKER_01

When was this?

SPEAKER_00

I don't know. Four days ago, last week. Okay.

SPEAKER_01

There's a big thing right now with speed.

SPEAKER_00

Okay.

SPEAKER_01

For fire trucks.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, okay.

SPEAKER_01

And well, I don't know about fire trucks, but especially for loaders.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Where you will not, you will not speed.

SPEAKER_00

Gotcha. So I mean, these fire trucks are huge and they're heavy. And I mean, maybe they have different limitations. I don't even know if he's doing 75. I blew right past him. I just passed him. I mean, there was a a semi-tipped tipped over at Love's. I went right past him.

SPEAKER_01

Bro. That I you're gonna get a talking to. You're you're for sure getting that one. I do. What am I supposed to do?

SPEAKER_00

Just follow his slow app to a 70?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. You are. Yes. Oh man, I'm getting.

SPEAKER_00

I mean you're getting what?

SPEAKER_01

No, I yeah, you I would get I would be very frustrated if I was working, if I was a first responder. Yeah. Like those guys.

SPEAKER_00

Huh. All right. We're gonna move on then. Like I had one more, but I'm not gonna bring it up.

SPEAKER_01

No, but you got it down, dude.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, what about what about when a police officer or yeah, a cop, have which one metric, whatever, rolling in.

SPEAKER_01

I wouldn't know because I'm working the mine. No, continue.

SPEAKER_00

I'm just saying, what if an emergency vehicle is no lights, no siren, left lane, five under? I'm passing him on the right doing 80.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, that's fine.

SPEAKER_00

Right? Like he's just doing his own thing.

SPEAKER_01

I'm just gonna there's a a couple different who yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, okay.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I mean, it depends on.

SPEAKER_00

Dude, if you're not in the emergency situation, there's nothing that says I can't drive past you. Like, yeah, okay, I'll be going five over, but like, okay.

SPEAKER_01

You well, if you're petty, you can still get in.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, well, for sure. And I yeah, I know the risk, but yeah.

unknown

Okay.

SPEAKER_01

But why is it in the offline?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, dude, get out of the way, bro. Yeah, okay, all right.

SPEAKER_01

I mean, there's that's all that's the law itself.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, okay. Is mama calling?

SPEAKER_01

She's keep going.

SPEAKER_00

Okay. I had two things way back from 4th of July. The fireworks show in Pocatello, dude, we had colored smoke. Red, white, and blue. Kind of cool. Never seen that before.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

New innovation in firework technology, colored smoke. That's all. Another random thing, sunflower seeds. I got some this random brand. Flavor brand. Yeah, this random brand. So I bought like a 12-pack of their all these weird flavors, right? Cheeseburger, you know. One of them's guacamole. Don't like guacamole. I finally busted it open. Dude, it is amazing. Really? Yeah. I like guacamole. So yeah, I would I've yeah, maybe the new, the new favorite sunflower seed.

SPEAKER_01

Over the taco bell one. Yeah. Wow. That's that's it.

SPEAKER_00

That's high spray.

SPEAKER_01

Wow. What brand is it?

SPEAKER_00

I think it's smacking. Let me see.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, yes, I've seen them. Okay, yeah, it's smacking. They sponsor a few podcasts and stuff.

SPEAKER_00

They're pretty good. Dude, we should call them. Have a sponsor. Hey. Hey, I like your guacamole. Yeah, it was smacking. Anyways.

SPEAKER_01

Put your guac inside me.

SPEAKER_00

I didn't really love their taco. But uh yeah, but the the guac it hit. So, new favorite seed. Fun fact for you.

SPEAKER_01

Nice.

SPEAKER_00

What you got? Anything on your random lips? Well, whatever you want to do. If you need to rip, I'm sure our listeners are fine.

SPEAKER_01

I'll keep two of them. Three, four. Okay, do you do you watch any new sho? Are you into any new shows lately? The reason I asked this is I'm watching. Have you heard of House of Dragon on HBO? It's like the Game of Thrones or the pre-company.

SPEAKER_00

I think I've seen some commercials.

SPEAKER_01

Okay, so they're the whole thing is they're fighting a war over who should be king, right? Dad, or the original king, is married to a queen who can't produce a male son and has a daughter. His wife dies in childbirth with a son. The son dies as well. So he remarries his daughter's best friend and produces three boys. Okay, three heirs to the throne. But he he says, No, my daughter's the heir. I want her to be queen when I pass. Well, on his deathbed, the his like right-hand man is his wife or daughter's best friend, dad, who's kind of conniving and says, Hey, you should name my grandson king. So he says, as he's dying, oh yeah, er Agon, he will be the he'll be the king. So he dies, all of a sudden there's a war on who produces who's gonna be the king. So the queen says, No, I should be the queen. And then the son, the brother, half brother and half sister, the son's like, no, I'm the king. So my question to you is Ivy is your firstborn. And do you Rhett's your second?

unknown

Okay?

SPEAKER_01

It's not the it's backwards, okay?

SPEAKER_00

Yep.

SPEAKER_01

Does it go to Rhett or does it go to Ivy? You're you're hierarchy.

SPEAKER_00

You're the problem. My problem is I'm not a big traditionalist.

unknown

Right?

SPEAKER_00

Like, we don't have a lot of traditions in our family. Like, I didn't name my kids after family names and all that stuff. Like a few, but not really. Dude, honestly, in this moment, Rhett's gonna do a better job running it. So probably Rhett.

SPEAKER_01

And then so you have to name that while you're alive. Yeah. And Ivy's, I hate you, Daddy. I don't like that. Yeah. I thought I'm your firstborn.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, but dude, whoever she marries, she'd really screw it all up. Yeah. Yeah, I probably just no. He's the blood. He's the man. He's gonna continue, he's gotta be the man. Yeah, yeah. What would you do?

SPEAKER_01

Like it hurts. Yeah, but I think I gotta go des.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, because in your situation, I mean your daughter is the oldest.

SPEAKER_01

That's why, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

But see ya. Oh, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

I know you just downloaded my podcast today.

SPEAKER_00

Oh nice.

SPEAKER_01

But dad, I want to listen to your podcast.

SPEAKER_00

She's a listener.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Okay. Have anybody else like asked you, like, did you get you a podcast?

SPEAKER_01

Bro, just my dad. Bro, send it to me.

SPEAKER_00

Send it to me. Oh, wait. Oh, you I want to listen to it. Like, is anybody? Oh. I had my brother-in-law's brother say that, and I was like, I don't know, bro.

SPEAKER_01

You didn't know the real me. I put on the show in front of you guys. Yeah. Like when you said the bishop listened one time, like, oh yeah. Oh, yeah, that was like, dude, I don't hardly ever go to church. But when I I think it was when Arya's got baptized, I got to talk to the bishop. Yeah, I heard you were willing the possessed. I'm like, oh. Oh no. What exactly did you hear?

SPEAKER_00

I think that one was Frederick's. Oh, yeah. So that one was money. That one was a good one. Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. That was a good one.

SPEAKER_00

But uh, yeah. Yeah, sorry, Ivy. We're going, we're going the the the namesake on that one.

SPEAKER_01

No, for are you listening? You you're you're getting it all. One more. All right, one more before I go.

SPEAKER_00

One more. Sounds great.

SPEAKER_01

Sorry. This would be a lot longer, but Elise, we have dinner all I thought it was at five, but now it's at 4 15. So we're going up there. Do you believe in ghosts?

SPEAKER_00

Do you believe in miracles? Ghosts? Like, like what you see in the movies, like a like a floating.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. I don't.

SPEAKER_00

Bro, stop. Okay. No, I do. You do? I do. See, this could go deep.

SPEAKER_01

I know, that's fair. For long. Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Okay. I had the keys. You wanna you want to postpone this?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, let's postpone it.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, all right. All right. Because this, yeah, I like how we disagree.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. Second one. Do you believe in have you ever heard of skinwalkers?

SPEAKER_00

No.

SPEAKER_01

Okay, just go on whatever your reels or whatever and type in skinwalker. Okay. Right? It's like, it's supposed to be this non-human thing in the woods, right? And it's like scary, but it's gonna eat you. I don't know. So Tristan, I I've seen them before, they've popped on my feet. They're kind of they're scary, but I don't think that it's not real.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

They're not real. But Tristan shows me this photo or this video, and he's like, a friend of my friend, they were out hunting, scouting, and this is a real video. It's not AI, it's not anything.

SPEAKER_00

Uh-huh.

SPEAKER_01

And he's sc and of course, all the it's like Bigfoot. All the videos are grainy and you can't see. Yep. Now, whatever I'm watching, it's very grainy, but it's scary. It's got it's human-like, but it's not human. And it's got these long arms and it's eating something dead.

SPEAKER_00

Okay.

SPEAKER_01

And the story behind it, like, yeah, he's out in Nevada. All right. He's in the middle of, you know, Cave Valley somewhere. Oh, nice. Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Beautiful valley.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah. And he's spots, it's like 300 yards away, which I feel like a spotting scope could see something 300 yards away.

SPEAKER_00

100%. You can see the tick on their back.

SPEAKER_01

So it must be very far away, farther than 300 yards. But it's got these long arms, kind of, and it's eating something, it's looking around, and then it notices him, and then it takes off.

SPEAKER_00

He notices him 300 yards away. The skinwalker does. Yeah, right.

SPEAKER_01

And and Tristan's like, no, it's real. And I'm like, dude, it's not real. Really? And I'm like, it's not real. He's like, no, this is not on the internet. It's real. And I'm like, no, it's not.

SPEAKER_00

That's hilarious. But yeah, we we agreed to disagree on that. Nice. Okay. The next Goon Garage, we're talking ghosts. Unless we're gonna talk about alien shit too. And then we're also gonna talk skinwalkers. Let me do some research.

SPEAKER_01

All right. Thanks for listening. Yeah, we we gotta get it.
