SPEAKER_07

Welcome to the True Green Podcast with your host Ori Woods and Will Calvin. No. This is 177. Our family 177. List of the Yo, welcome back to uh Dungeons and Dragons. I mean, the True Goon podcast, Ori Moyne. We practically have the whole party here for the Dungeons Dragons. But Ori.

SPEAKER_04

Except for me, don't bash me into that. I don't know if I want to be on that level. It's a good time.

SPEAKER_07

It's it's it's fun. If if Jeff has fun, you don't.

SPEAKER_04

Is this uh you guys are all just gonna team up on me and try to get me in? Is that what this is? There we go. I didn't see this coming.

SPEAKER_07

But we have two very special guests. We've had someone that's already been in here before, Jeff Hardy, and his beautiful wife, Jesse.

SPEAKER_08

Oh, thank you.

SPEAKER_07

What's up? And I'm dude, I'm excited to get a woman's perspective.

SPEAKER_04

I think that this is the second girl in here. I mean, yeah. You're top two.

SPEAKER_02

Top two on the podium. A woman that hates dirt bikes. Bring her in and talk about dirt bikes. Exactly. Yeah.

SPEAKER_08

Okay, it's not that I hate dirt bikes, it's that I have a toddler who's obsessed with anything with wheels, and it freaks me out because I've grown up with you guys and I've watched you guys be idiots. So we'll I'm just scared for my son. Okay.

SPEAKER_07

We'll get into all of that, but first I want to open up last time, Jeff, you were on the on the podcast. Did we talk about your trip, your boys' trip? We did talk about your boys' trip.

SPEAKER_02

I think so a little bit, yeah.

SPEAKER_07

So you guys just went on that last weekend or the weekend before, right? And it was you, Austin, Chris, his brother Eddie, Casey Marshall. Am I missing anyone? Wade, come on, dude. Wade, of course. I was just I wanted to make him nervous.

SPEAKER_04

But anyways.

SPEAKER_02

Okay, so this is the infamous boys' trip. You guys have done it a couple times. Yeah, that was my third year. I think that was the fourth year they've and guess what?

SPEAKER_07

I got I finally got the pity advice. You got a pity one?

SPEAKER_04

At least it's something. I still haven't got anything awesome. I've been friends with Wade for the first time. You know what?

SPEAKER_08

I have officially been disinvited, so don't worry about it. There was a rule made. No wives.

SPEAKER_04

Well, Wade brought his wife the first year they were.

SPEAKER_08

Oh, don't worry.

SPEAKER_04

Oh, whoopsies. Way to go, Wade. Yeah, that's not a come on. So newlyweds. What do you do? You know, Jesse, probably do you did you want to go or no? You can okay, all right. Perfect. Perfect.

SPEAKER_08

You know, got that cleared up. You haven't been invited or uninvited, but at least no, I've been straight up. So you should feel good that you, you know.

SPEAKER_04

All right. We're still in the middle. All right. We'll ride that for a while.

SPEAKER_07

So usually you guys ha take your dirt bikes and you go up to Beaver Mountain and you go camping with all the boys and and do whatever.

SPEAKER_04

You guys ride the Pi Trail and whatnot, right? At least a portion of it.

SPEAKER_02

Well, tiny portion. All day, but tiny portion.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_07

The mountain. Well, it's a huge trail system. Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Massive.

SPEAKER_07

Okay. The mountain had a reset of I don't know. Is that what we're gonna call it? Hard reset. Yeah. Hard reset hard. A fire and then a flood. And so there's nothing there anymore. Double whammy. So you guys decided to go to Penguge. Lake. Penguage Lake. So so take us from the beginning to the end. Just this year's this year's trip.

SPEAKER_02

Well, we drove up there. The majority of them went up in the morning. I went up after work. We camped. Austin had his camper set up there. We rode dirt bikes. We drove we rode the bikes over to Mammoth Caves. That was pretty cool. On road. Majority of the bikes are street legal.

SPEAKER_07

Mammoth Caves like over by uh Duck Creek?

SPEAKER_02

Yes. Yeah. It's just a big hole in the ground, you know? Yep. But we rode over there and then rode back. I'm not making it sound near as exciting as it actually was.

SPEAKER_04

Alright, we'll make it sound exciting. Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Hold on.

SPEAKER_04

So you guys got there and I heard there's some rain.

SPEAKER_02

It was raining a little bit, yeah.

SPEAKER_04

Okay. How did that affect the the start of the trip?

SPEAKER_02

It was actually it made it really nice because it chilled it off a little bit from where it already was. It was like 58 degrees. Beautiful. And then kept the dust down, which is nice because I was too lazy to tune my bike for the altitude, so I just ripped the air filter off and rode in the dirt without worrying about it. No air filter. Yeah, no air filter. The whole weekend? The majority of it. No. There's no dust. What was I worried about? Everything.

SPEAKER_04

What are you riding?

SPEAKER_02

That WR I mentioned last year. What year? What year is it? 2002.

SPEAKER_04

Oh, two. They don't even need air filters.

SPEAKER_02

No, dude. Oh my gosh. Okay, so did she run okay though? No. Oh, not at all. No, it did alright, but I needed to adjust the needle, and uh, I was too lazy. I did drop it down two jet sizes, but through the mid-range, like pretty much 85% of the mid-range, it would just and then I'd have to open it all the way up to let the carburetor open up to let the air through, and then it would just take off like a rocket.

SPEAKER_07

He wouldn't open it up to let the air through, he'd let open it up to let like the tree trunks and rocks, and there's a chainsaw destroying. There's a chainsaw inside the carburetor that chews everything up before it goes into the cylinder. Yeah. Not in it.

SPEAKER_02

It's fine. It's all covered. Okay. In the airbox, you know? Yep. Yep. I mean, for some reason I can't get the bike to start yesterday, but I'm sure it's unrelated.

SPEAKER_04

I love it too because I mean you're mechanic by trade, right? Yeah, that's how you make your living. But I guess that's fine because like I don't like to come home and do electrical work at my house. So I guess this is yeah. Why why work on yeah? Exactly. I don't want to adjust nothing. Okay. So your bike was giving you some fits, but we have found a solution. What about other people's bikes? Everybody else running okay?

SPEAKER_02

Eddie's Eddie brought an XR 650 and it's a big bike. It's yeah, big bike. I think its problem was dumbed up fuel. Is he needed the well? I don't know if we really figured out the problem because I think he pulled the carburetor apart and it looked fine, but it it just it wouldn't run partly at all. It would act, it would start an idle fine, but he couldn't get above eighth throttle. It'd be die or bog out and backfire. It's funny we he was riding behind me, and I kept hearing it sounded like you know, like the old cartoon when the old like Model T's pop and backfire. It sounded just like that. Nice. I'm like, what the heck is my bike doing? I don't what is happening? And then he passed me and it popped in front of me. Oh, that's thick heavens.

SPEAKER_04

That's like that's where it's coming from.

SPEAKER_02

Yep.

SPEAKER_04

But okay, so that does. I mean, that makes you know, yeah, there's another element in the fun, right? I gotta get these ding bikes working, we gotta get this working, we gotta get this.

SPEAKER_02

Well, and I had I had actually brought, I was worried about my bike not running because of the carburetor up at elevation. So I brought my brother's 2010 Suzuki RMZ450, which is fuel injected. I thought that was yours. It's both.

SPEAKER_07

Oh. Jesse gave us a look. Okay.

SPEAKER_02

It's it's his, but I've claimed it.

unknown

Perfect.

SPEAKER_07

Ah, it's hey honey, this is my brother's exactly what's happening here.

SPEAKER_02

All right, yep, perfect.

SPEAKER_07

I've never done that.

SPEAKER_02

Sorry we brought that up. Joint guards. No, we're good. But he ended up riding that, so it was a good time. He rode that all the way over to the Mammoth Caves.

unknown

Nice.

SPEAKER_02

And it it was it's got an issue too, but it's feel injected. So it was happening too. Is that one street legal?

SPEAKER_04

No. Okay. You just put him in the middle of the herd and just rip it.

SPEAKER_02

I said, hey, and that's it was taking me off. I couldn't get it to start because you know, Kickstarter, it wouldn't stay running. But if you ran it down the hill and bump started it, it would run. I said, We can get it started and you can ride it, or you can take yours that hardly runs. Yeah. So he opted to take that one.

SPEAKER_07

Did you have to bump start it every time?

SPEAKER_02

Even once it was hot. Once it was hot, he actually was able to kick it over. Yep.

SPEAKER_07

It was like the valves or something.

SPEAKER_02

I don't know. I don't know. I really don't know what the problem was. I've I thought I found the issue. I thought it was the air temperature sensor. It the wiring was messed up on it, but I fixed it and then it ran. I started it then. I was like, okay, that's the problem.

SPEAKER_07

Was it a 450?

SPEAKER_02

Yes, 450.

SPEAKER_07

To be fair, this is the same bike that Ryan Dungey was had the red plate, and he was at Millville, and his bike could not start going into the line. And the rule was is if you didn't pull onto the track without both or if one lap was completed, you couldn't do the rest of the race. And you see Ryan, this mechanic, get it started, come down the hill, and then make it on the track.

SPEAKER_04

And then he and they bump started it.

SPEAKER_07

Like come, oh yeah, and uh top 10 finish or something like that.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, seventh or fifth or something. I just saw and it was it was muddy too. Like, yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Don't forget uh that fella, I think his name was Ken Roxon. This won the championship on that bike on practically the same exact bike.

SPEAKER_06

Oh yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_02

It's only 16 years different. Sorry. No, that's continue.

SPEAKER_04

So we did that ride and then So you went over to Mammoth Caves, you cruising the highway the whole time. The whole time. Cool. Bike 55. Hiked the caves. Like 20 feet in. Yeah. Oh, that's it. They're pretty dirty, right? Like, especially if it's raining, like it's probably muddy and stuff, right?

SPEAKER_02

It wasn't too bad. Not bad. And actually, we didn't get affected by the rain too much. It wasn't too wet. Like a lot of the dirt was nice. It was like packed. Like it was, you know, moist like I said, with no dust, but it was nothing was muddy. Never had to worry about that. It was uh it was beautiful terrain. Nice. All right, cool. Burn back, and was that your only ride for that day? The big ride, yeah. And then we just we we brought pit bikes. We rode around the mountain on those, rode down to the lake, cruised around. And then it's just down the street from the burger barn. So we frequented the burger barn.

SPEAKER_04

Yes, that's a good place to frequent. Plus, I think the only place on the mountain that sells food. So there's that on that side of the mountain. So how far from I mean, were you in Penguin City that you guys were or uh Penguage Lake, little town there? Or where were you guys camped at? 1.3 miles from the Burger Barn.

SPEAKER_02

That's how I Austin sent me the what is that, the thing on the map?

SPEAKER_04

Ping pin. Yeah, dropped you a pin. So you're going back up the mountain from the burger barn, up the asphalt, and then turn right? Yep. Down that dirt road. Okay. Alright, I know where you're at. Cool. Alright, so then you guys are just camping in the tents, or what are you guys camping in?

SPEAKER_02

Austin brought his camper and me and him slept in that separately. And then Wade and Casey had tents, and uh Chris and Eddie had a tent. Nice. Nice.

SPEAKER_07

So Austin sent me a photo of Saturday in the afternoon. You guys were watching Motocross.

SPEAKER_02

Yes. How? Generator and Starlink. Starlink baby. Okay.

SPEAKER_07

And he brought the peacock or the peacock.

SPEAKER_02

Roku. The Roku. Or actually, I think it was a fire stick. Same idea. Yeah, same thing. They all suck. It would it didn't work. Okay. It played long enough for him to take that picture sent to you. That's it right there, huh? I finally just got up and rode my pit bike. And then when I got back, everybody else was riding there. Steve's like, well, that's not a worked.

SPEAKER_07

Nice. Now, any memorable moments on this trip where maybe questionable activities, or someone may or may have died, or almost died. I want to hear that kind of I want to hear that.

SPEAKER_02

So actually, the sketchiest part was on the pit bikes. We rode up the mountain from where we were camping, and then because they I didn't know the area at all. They said we're gonna ride up the mountain and then just come down from where we are. Like, okay. And that was like n almost completely 90 degrees down. And it was terrifying to drive the pit bikes down. My I was on my little sister's XR-80, that's what I brought, and the bars are not adjusted for me. So I if I tried to turn, it would just hit my leg and trying to fall down this mountain, which that's all it was, just kicked it in first, let out the clutch, and just fall down the mountain. It was terrifying slowly and safe.

SPEAKER_07

Wait, an XR eighty?

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_07

Like the four stroke.

SPEAKER_02

Uh huh.

SPEAKER_07

Nice.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_07

Is that what Juno's riding?

SPEAKER_02

No, she's on a 70. She doesn't really ride anymore, though. Okay.

SPEAKER_07

Because I've been trying to tell Aria, hey, Juno races, baby, and it doesn't work.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah. Well. So did you have more fun on the big bikes or the little bikes?

SPEAKER_02

I don't know, it's kind of hit and miss. The the little bikes are just so fun because you can you just cruise around like whip them around however you want. Big bikes, there's always a little bit more fear to it because they're faster, heavier, and you if you fall, you're falling from higher. You get bigger alleys on the big bikes. Yeah, bigger alleys.

SPEAKER_05

Dude, I freaking got hurt on the pivotes, dude. Well, that's why, because you're you're more brave.

SPEAKER_02

You're stupid. Yeah. Stupider decisions. Yeah.

SPEAKER_07

So how many rot like big rides total did you do on the big bikes?

SPEAKER_02

I'd say I can't remember. I think it was Friday when we got there. We went up up the mountain. Like you're you sound like you're familiar with the area, Will. Yeah. Um we went around the lake. So that's what we did the first night. We just went around the lake. And then the this money Saturday morning, we went to the other side of the lake, and then you go up the mountain. Yep. And then you get to like a lookout. Yep. And that's when we really figured out that Eddie's bike wasn't running right. Because we were all the way up there. We were gonna drop down the other side and then go down. My parents have some property in Bryanhead, we were gonna go see, but we decided to just go back to camp to figure out Eddie's bike. Gotcha. That so that was Saturday morning too, and then we went to Mammoth Caves, and then Sunday I left early.

SPEAKER_07

So was there quite a people uh quite a bit of people up on the mountain?

SPEAKER_02

Like was there a lot of other Sabbath sides or well at the the burger barn there was always plenty of people, but Saturday, Saturday evening when it was like five o'clock, we rode over to the lake on the pit bikes. There wasn't a single person fishing out there. Oh wow. Saturday evening. Like, what the heck? That really surprised me. Perfect. Yeah.

SPEAKER_07

Now you guys have I mean, they're kind of like all kind of I mean, they're all dirt bikes, but they're all you said kind of street legal adventure type of riding. Will let me ask you this. Because you like to take those trails and they're all like big wide razor trails, right? Essentially?

SPEAKER_02

The majority.

SPEAKER_07

There's no really single track up there.

SPEAKER_02

There was Yeah, on the mountain, like where we're doing the pit bikes, that was more single track. But yeah, but the other trails we were doing on the big bikes are more.

SPEAKER_07

Will do you like that kind of riding?

SPEAKER_04

So the little bit of the Paiute trail, it doesn't sound like you rode much of the Paiute trail this particular trip, but most of the the Paiute trail is 50 inches, is Hawaii you can be. That's why they would make the razor so narrow. So on a trail like that, where it's just like a kind of a four-wheeler trail, you know, we get almost like two different, like a two-track. Yeah, I'm all about that. I like you know, you can go to one side, you get right next to your buddy, and and you ride side by side, that kind of stuff. I'm into that. Now, a graded road that I could bring the truck up, that's fun for a minute, and then it's like, all right, I've already wheelied as far as I can, like I don't know what else to do now, you know.

SPEAKER_07

But I haven't rode much around like Pingwich Lake, never been on Beaver Mountain. Well, I don't think I've ever rode around Pingwich Lake. I've just been up a Duck Creek area a lot, and it was like it was fun when we were teenagers and they wasn't all beat up from the side by sides, but now when I've rode up there as an adult, it's I kind of get bored of the trails. Yeah. That's my only issue.

SPEAKER_04

But are you when you're riding, are you riding with friends or are you riding by yourself?

SPEAKER_07

Well, I haven't gone as an adult with friends. Yeah, so I think that's what it is.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, I think if you have the right group, it'd be fun.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, but that's that's just the drawback from riding in an extreme scenario from birth. Like I didn't ride my bikes until I was 25. So it's it's all brand new to me and it's all fun.

SPEAKER_07

So yeah, that's that's my question. It's like, I guess I've never gone out just to go, you know, you know, taking the sights kind of enjoy the view.

SPEAKER_04

It's always gonna go, yeah.

SPEAKER_07

So I have you you done riding like that?

SPEAKER_04

Like we go and just sightseeing?

SPEAKER_07

Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, not really. I mean the razor, not not in the motorcycle.

SPEAKER_07

The razor is a lot of fun because I've I I would just have to switch my mindset.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_07

And then I feel like I would start causing issues, like trying to wreck people on a you know what I mean? Like, I don't know.

SPEAKER_04

Just go saw Wade Hardy's front wheel off. Sweetie, dude.

SPEAKER_05

Thanks for the invite, Austin.

SPEAKER_04

Never again.

SPEAKER_05

See you next year, yeah.

SPEAKER_04

So, okay, it sounded like you guys had like a hub, right? You guys all camped at one spot, went out, came back when I came. Would you be interested at all in more of like traversing and staying at different places? Whether either like packing your stuff with you, or maybe like setting it up a little bit beforehand where you drop stuff along the way and that kind of thing. Would that be cool?

SPEAKER_02

Yes, that'd be way cool. Also, write this down, and I'll let you know the next time he's in. My little brother Justin, who he had on before. Oh, yeah, he went on a trip like down to California from Reno and back. Oh wow. Like backpacking, like week long on the XR. Oh, he sick. He had yeah, the XR. No, KLR 650. Big bike, first gen. Things a tank. Sick. Yeah. Oh, that's a lot.

SPEAKER_07

That's a legit adventure bike.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, adventure bike. And yeah, he'd he'd tell you all about that. That was right back.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_02

But yes, I would absolutely be involved in that. That'd be so cool.

SPEAKER_04

I feel like, I mean, that Bayute trail system is 974 miles long. So I feel like you could obviously not the whole thing, you know, the whole thing, but you could, if you planned it right, you could stop in some of those little towns and get a room and just kind of pack what you needed to. Yeah. And maybe, you know, wash your gear overnight while you're there and you know, bring the minimal stuff and get through. I think that could be that could be pretty fun too.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, what we actually talked about last year because we were they have every now and then the the map system posted like on a board or whatever. Yeah. And it looked like you can actually over the mountain go down to Marysville. Yep. That would be cool. We talked about doing that.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah. Yep. You could fuel down there and stay down there if you plan to ride. Nice. Would you would you do like what you said your brother did and like put a fat backpack on and ride with all your crap? Maybe once the kids are out of you know, out of skill. Yeah. I'm less of a I feel like I hate having something on my shoulders, even like a camelback when I ride. Well, I think if you put a backpack on that, you like like had your tent and your sleeping bag, like dude, I would I don't think I'd like that at all.

SPEAKER_07

Jesse, would you learn how to ride a bike and go with Jeff? Or get on the back. Oh, yeah, on the back of like a big 650.

SPEAKER_08

Let's be real. I'll probably be the one who's like going and setting up the checkpoints for you guys to go on your little adventure.

SPEAKER_04

You cook us dinner, dude. That that would we roll in, dinner's already done.

SPEAKER_08

What am I like? Let me make you sandwiches.

SPEAKER_04

I'm just saying, this is what we if you want the invite, maybe we're so no, you're not getting on the back of it. No. Well, what about like a Harley? Or would you ever get on the back of a Harley?

SPEAKER_08

See, my dad had motorcycles off and on growing up.

SPEAKER_04

Sick.

SPEAKER_08

But he never, I don't know, it's so funny because he never like drove them a ton, but we'd go for rides and stuff, and I never was nervous then. Oh, it's cool, it's just a motorcycle. It's not that I don't trust him. I'd ride with him. He doesn't trust himself.

SPEAKER_05

It's like, no, I can't believe myself. Yeah, I don't care. You want to ride alone. Phrase the kidney.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah, someone needs to stay alive. Okay, that's the goal.

SPEAKER_07

Don't worry. It's in writing. If you two pass, Elson's come with me, and we're ripping.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, we're ripping. Turn him into a shredder.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah, he's got he's got a little bit of a crazy eye.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah. Yeah. Nice. How old is he? Three. Three. Oh, perfect.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

So we got him on a strider or a pedal bike or anything yet. He's pretty good on a strider. Okay. I got him a pedal bike for his birthday, but it's too hot in there.

SPEAKER_08

He's too short. Can't the legs.

SPEAKER_04

Nice.

SPEAKER_08

He tries.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

The heat is a little bit of a damper for sure.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

I got a TTR50. I can't find the title to. So I'll give you a smoking deal on it when he's ready.

SPEAKER_02

I would take you up on that, but I did just inherit a WR. No, sorry. PW. PW. Oh, PW. All right.

SPEAKER_04

That's probably better for the first time.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. Okay. Yeah.

SPEAKER_07

I may or may not drop mine off. Said here you go. I said, I can't get it a run. Here you go, Jeff. Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

Your problem if you want it. Here you go.

SPEAKER_02

I put it next to my other motor bike.

SPEAKER_04

Nice. Nice. So before we get deep in Jesse here, do we want to get the the conversation?

unknown

Yes. Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

Do you want to do talk anything else moto really quick? Did you have anything? I got like two little notes.

SPEAKER_07

Oh, I was gonna ask the if like trip questions, or I don't have any more. I was saying if you did.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, I got nothing else on the trip. Yeah, I got a few little things I want to talk about motor wise before we roll into Jesse here.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah, let's like let's let's talk about it. No matter how I say that, it's just we'll get we'll get it dialed in here.

SPEAKER_04

Okay, so Ori, our little game we play here.

SPEAKER_07

Oh shoot. I was gonna say.

SPEAKER_04

Save it till the you know, but we gotta pick the next race. So yeah, okay, so Wash go.

SPEAKER_07

I had a bad pick, I think.

SPEAKER_04

Do you think? You got a bad feeling?

SPEAKER_07

Yeah, I never remember.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, I had Hunter, and he thought he won. Yes, well. So, I mean, you know, so that's a plus one for me. And you had Mr. Eli Tomac.

SPEAKER_06

Oh, son of a bitch, dude.

unknown

Really?

SPEAKER_04

Which I think is ironic because he screwed me at Paula and he'll screw you here. So that's a minus. I'm only one down. I'm back in this. Yep. Okay, so I'm still up though. Yeah, you're one up. Holy shit. We got three rounds left. So who do you who do you want for next round? I don't even know where it is.

SPEAKER_08

Uh it's in New York somewhere, isn't it?

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, it is. It's wow. It's whatever it's called.

SPEAKER_08

I don't know how to pronounce it. I cannot think of anything.

SPEAKER_04

But's Creek. Oh, Unadilla.

SPEAKER_08

Listen, here's my problem. Okay. So I'm in the medical field, right? I have to do research before I do things. Okay. Before I treat patients, before I do things. So I may have done a little research. So I took a chance to do that. Oh, she's ready. Look at her. I mean, I still don't really know what I'm talking about. But I tried to get somewhat of an idea.

SPEAKER_04

Unadilla's next round. Alright. Who are you?

SPEAKER_07

So I've done Hunter.

SPEAKER_04

Yes.

SPEAKER_07

Jace, Jet.

SPEAKER_04

Yep.

SPEAKER_07

Deegan, Jorge.

SPEAKER_04

No, no.

SPEAKER_07

Give me Jorge.

SPEAKER_04

Alright. Sorry, George, your Unadilla's gonna be shit.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah. But I'm still one up. Right? Right?

SPEAKER_04

Yeah. Alright, good. Yeah, I'm pretty much screwed here. Alright. I've used- Have you used Dylan? Dylan?

SPEAKER_07

Yeah.

unknown

No.

SPEAKER_04

He was fifth. Okay, but seems like I'm just saying.

SPEAKER_08

I'm sorry. How do you spell his name?

SPEAKER_07

Dylan, like normal.

SPEAKER_04

Dylan. D-Y-L-O-N. Dylan. Yeah, to Dylan Fernandes. Dylan. Dylan is D-I-L-L-O-N. Dylan. Or D-Y-L-A-N. He's French. No, that's Dylan.

SPEAKER_07

French with a Hispanic name. If you believe it. He's not French, you idiot. Yeah, he is.

SPEAKER_04

Dylan Fernandes?

SPEAKER_07

Yeah, he's from France.

SPEAKER_04

Oh, wow. Wow. Wow. Look at you. Dylan. With a Hispanic name. Yeah, Dylan Fernandes. Dylan Fran fan over here. Yeah. I don't think I should take him, dude.

SPEAKER_08

I'm sorry, did you just say Dylan, Will?

SPEAKER_07

Dylan, sorry.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah, okay. I'm sorry, I thought I heard that.

SPEAKER_07

You do Jordan Smith, dude. I heard a podcast they were talking about him going on the MX O N team. Team USA. I was like, there's no way Jordan Smith goes on.

SPEAKER_04

Oh no.

SPEAKER_07

Which we could go into a whole conversation. We're gonna get smoke this year.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, we'll save that. I'm gonna go bar show.

SPEAKER_07

Okay.

SPEAKER_04

Okay.

SPEAKER_07

Okay.

SPEAKER_04

All right, we'll watch this.

SPEAKER_07

Go for that.

SPEAKER_04

I'm already losing, so it's like whatever. Okay, I got something else there, but we'll save that for another one. And then just because we got Loretta Lens coming up.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

I just thought this was cool. Lars put on his little well on the Honda form or whatever. That your result in the Loretta lens doesn't determine your future, but your attitude, effort, and resilience can turn a lot of heads, which can be uh more valuable than the results. So good luck. So I thought that was kind of cool. Yeah. That like it's not though.

SPEAKER_07

I think Honda posted it. They asked each like the writer and team what your thoughts or advice.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, I think that's cool. Like it don't people take this stuff way too seriously. Yes. One more thing from last week that I gotta say on the podcast here is that after we did the podcast in the morning, we went over to race go-karts and let the record show that Ori beat me.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah, but Damon beat us both.

SPEAKER_04

But Damon beat Ori, so Ori didn't win.

SPEAKER_07

And I'm supposed to be able to do that.

SPEAKER_04

Well, Damon's lighter than Damon. That's it, dude. I'm fatter. Yeah.

SPEAKER_07

Is what it is. Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

So, anyways, Ori beat me. He can have it. Good job. What kind of go-karts?

SPEAKER_07

K1 speed.

SPEAKER_04

It's electric. Electric ones. But I mean, they went fast enough that you you needed to use the brake in a couple corners.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. All flat track.

SPEAKER_04

But you're yeah, but you're still like it's in con on concrete. So like I feel like asphalt rides different.

SPEAKER_08

It does.

SPEAKER_04

You get a different cart each time, so it's a little inconsistent that way. Did if your legs are so long and you put them up so you can stretch out because you're cramping, they shut your cart down. Oh wow. So yeah, I know. How rude.

SPEAKER_02

They're worried about your rear end of someone.

SPEAKER_04

Snapping my leg.

SPEAKER_08

Can I just sign a waiver? I just seem to stretch. I don't care.

SPEAKER_04

And then my yeah, shorts would ride way high. I was yeah, it was good. But uh having a great time.

SPEAKER_08

You can't really get out at the end. Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah. Yep. But uh, but yeah, did you overall was the Seattle trip fun? Or not Seattle? Was you go trip fun? Oh, dude, it was it good? Was it worth it? Do it again? Oh, yeah. You gone to New York? No, no. Oh, speaking of traveling. Two in a year, I'm good. I'm good.

SPEAKER_07

What was it, four weeks ago? You're like, hey, you gotta get a credit card.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_07

I got my points, dude. Already burnt through a thousand dollars on that. Perfect. On nothing.

SPEAKER_04

Oh, that's not good. Well, you know, be responsible.

SPEAKER_07

Concert tickets from my daughter for a few years. Were you gonna buy them anyway?

SPEAKER_04

Eventually. Okay, so then yeah, good. Yeah. So you got some points?

SPEAKER_07

Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah. You ready to go flying?

SPEAKER_07

I got 50,000, dude.

SPEAKER_04

Perfect.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

Did you know?

SPEAKER_08

So that I'll buy you a $50 plane ticket. Congratulations. Yep.

SPEAKER_04

Uh no, come on. So you Megan just looked today. We can fly to Nashville for 38,000 points for her and I.

unknown

Ooh. Okay.

SPEAKER_04

So that means you and the wife can go to Nashville for 38,000 points. Perfect. That's a Christmas gift. There's it, exactly. There's some plane tickets.

SPEAKER_08

If y'all want to drive three and a half hours, we got a place you could stay.

SPEAKER_04

In Nashville?

SPEAKER_02

From Nashville.

SPEAKER_04

Oh, from Nashville. Yeah. I was like, it's Nashville's way for three and a half hours.

SPEAKER_08

Oh, yeah, it is. Trust me. We've done that.

SPEAKER_04

You've been there. Nice. All right. Well, let's put Jesse in the hot seat here and talk all your other questions for one for Mrs.

SPEAKER_07

Quick question for Jeff before we start. Oh, okay. Sorry.

SPEAKER_04

All right. No, you're good.

SPEAKER_07

Sorry. So Austin bought, he's had a beta 500, and then now he's got the Husky KTM. KTM.

SPEAKER_02

300. 300. Two smoke.

SPEAKER_07

And he's talking about he wants to get rid of that and get a brand new one or whatever. If you could have like a brand new bike, Jeff, what would you get?

SPEAKER_02

You know what? I've never really put that into thought. I would actually. I don't know. Cuz I like doing the adventure stuff. Uh-huh. Like I don't know if I'd go out and get a big adventure bike, like the come on, like the 650 or whatever. But the Amaha 700? Well that's I also like going out like to the reservoir and stuff and riding with my buddies and doing that kind of stuff. So I don't know. Do you know what actually? I lied. The Honda 300. The 300L? Really? That's what Casey and Wade have. Yeah. Your father-in-laws? Yeah. I mean, I'd obviously have to set it up for me. Wade has not set up for him and it it shows.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

But I really like their bike. Like they they've had all three years that I've went, no problems. They just they fire up, they run, they do everything, they're fast. Or, you know, obviously not to you guys, they wouldn't be, but yeah, you know, that's that's if I were to go buy a bike, I would get that.

SPEAKER_07

Nice. Jesse, do you want to start off more serious or more fun?

SPEAKER_08

I don't care.

SPEAKER_04

I think you need to loosen her up.

SPEAKER_07

Loosen her up, yeah.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, that's so oh good.

SPEAKER_07

So a few a few hours ago, I texted you.

SPEAKER_08

Like two, yes.

SPEAKER_07

Like two hours. I gave you a list of writers. Hey, we like to be prepared on our show. Can you please look at these? Two hours. Hurry up. I gave you a list of writers to look at their names.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah, my for you page is gonna be way different than it needs to be. Thank you.

SPEAKER_04

Yes, we're converting her slowly.

SPEAKER_07

Okay. Would you rather do smash or pass, or would you rather rate them one through ten?

SPEAKER_04

Oh.

SPEAKER_07

Like on an attractiveness level.

SPEAKER_04

So smash is referring to like oh thank you.

SPEAKER_08

Okay, all right.

SPEAKER_04

I just wasn't sure if you were confused.

SPEAKER_08

I had no idea.

SPEAKER_07

Or you like them. Like I would smash a lot of these dudes. Oh, yeah.

SPEAKER_08

I'm gonna be honest, I think that it's good that a lot of them wear helmets.

SPEAKER_07

Oh, that was rude.

SPEAKER_05

Wow.

SPEAKER_08

Hold on, hold on.

SPEAKER_07

Who did you send? I thought I sent a lot of good looking dudes. Wow. Okay. A few at the end. I had to throw in some like, yeah, she's gonna say no to those.

SPEAKER_04

Okay, all right.

SPEAKER_07

So give us the first set here. Quit teasing. I need you. I need to are we doing smash spash? Are we doing one through ten?

SPEAKER_04

I kind of went one through ten.

SPEAKER_08

Okay.

SPEAKER_04

Is that okay? Can we one through ten? Now I'm concerned. Yes. Now I need that's fine.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah, one through ten. That's great.

SPEAKER_04

Are you smashing a five? Then we know that if it's a five or more, she's smashing. All right, carry on.

SPEAKER_07

Um we're starting off with the Lisa's number one. Oh Ken Ken Roxon. You went to his Instagram, right? I think 452.

SPEAKER_04

Tell us, do you know anything about him first off? No. Nothing.

SPEAKER_08

No.

SPEAKER_04

Okay. Have you ever heard him talk?

SPEAKER_08

No.

SPEAKER_04

Nothing. Literally. Okay, perfect.

SPEAKER_08

Nothing.

SPEAKER_04

Looks alone. Perfect. What is he? Do do do do. You pull up Instagram.

SPEAKER_08

Well, I don't have an inter my service sucks. Oh, here, here, here.

SPEAKER_07

I I got you. So you don't have the Wi-Fi?

SPEAKER_08

No.

SPEAKER_07

I'll pull it back up. I got it right here.

SPEAKER_08

Hold on. Well, maybe I had service for a second.

SPEAKER_07

This one.

SPEAKER_08

Okay. Like a seven. What? Eight? That's eight and eight. That is the most beautiful man.

SPEAKER_04

Does he have his shirt on in the picture you're looking at?

SPEAKER_08

Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

Okay.

SPEAKER_08

Oh, wait, no, this guy. Yeah, he was like eight or a nine.

SPEAKER_02

Okay. Yeah. Pretty good looking, guys.

SPEAKER_08

Instagram. Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah. Yeah. Now hold on. Are you basing that off of looks or the cool stuff he's doing on it?

SPEAKER_08

No, looks and Instagram because he looks like he has a better personality than some of the other guys.

SPEAKER_07

He does. Yeah.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_08

Some of the other guys look like.

SPEAKER_07

He also married a chick from St. George.

SPEAKER_08

Oh, well, that's weird, huh?

SPEAKER_07

So do you have internet now?

SPEAKER_08

A little bit if I don't move from this spot.

SPEAKER_07

Hold on. William I share. I thought I could, but I don't know how.

SPEAKER_08

Oh well, I have to try to sign in.

SPEAKER_07

Stand by.

SPEAKER_04

I'll I'll do that wasn't a drop I wanted. You can't ever say you never had a dude inside you now.

SPEAKER_07

That's the one you wanted.

SPEAKER_04

That's the drop.

unknown

That not.

SPEAKER_05

You guys are killing it.

SPEAKER_08

Not that one. Not that one. Is it net gear? Will? Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

That's not any better. That's a good one. That's yeah. There we go.

SPEAKER_07

You got internet? I'm trying to, I'm trying.

SPEAKER_04

If you want to pause, just push pause or two.

SPEAKER_07

Press pause. There we go. And we're back. So Ken Roxon. That's that's Elise's like Elise sees him. That's that's her hall pass. If it's for some reason, Ken Roxon was like, dude, hey, what's up, Elise?

SPEAKER_04

He's in St. George Mesquite sometimes. It's not impossible. Yeah.

SPEAKER_08

I mean, I'll give him an eight.

unknown

An eight.

SPEAKER_04

Oh. Nice.

SPEAKER_07

Okay. This one, I feel like a lot of women are torn on this this guy. Chase Sexton.

SPEAKER_08

Okay, I'm gonna be honest with you. It's really weird because you don't hear that name a lot, right? Sexton?

SPEAKER_07

Yeah.

SPEAKER_05

Uh-huh.

SPEAKER_08

I had an aunt who was married to a man. His last name was Sexton.

SPEAKER_05

Oh, really? Maybe they're related.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah. Marlot Ann. Her last name was Sexton. And I was like. So when you guys are talking about it before, I'm like, hold on a second. He he's like a four.

SPEAKER_04

Is he smiling in the pictures you see him in?

SPEAKER_08

Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

If he had good teeth, would he go up or down?

SPEAKER_08

It's the blonde hair crap. I just can't get behind it. I can't do it.

SPEAKER_07

Oh, he's probably got the seen the older photos with the And it's just the person.

SPEAKER_08

I just Well, he is a little bit of a crybaby, so just like you know, like you can just see like personality through posts. You know what I'm saying?

SPEAKER_02

Yep. All right. All right. He looks like he was probably preppy in high school. He didn't go to high school.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah, he was homeschooled. Oh, even more herself. All these guys were homeschooled.

SPEAKER_08

Your mom goes to college.

SPEAKER_07

Jet Lawrence.

SPEAKER_04

No. Wait, why? Yeah, why? Break down the what the problem is. Is it the mustache? Is it the a little bit? Wideset eyes. Is it what is it?

SPEAKER_08

Wideset eyes. I do think his brother's cuter.

SPEAKER_05

Really?

SPEAKER_08

I do. You're the first person probably. By a little bit of that. By like one, not by a lot. By a little bit.

SPEAKER_04

And yet you said it was a what?

SPEAKER_08

I didn't say anything. Oh yeah, yeah. See, but if five is like my like thing, then a four.

SPEAKER_04

Oh yeah. Let's move it up a little bit. Okay. Eight.

SPEAKER_08

I think eight's my thing.

SPEAKER_04

Okay.

SPEAKER_08

Then he's probably like, I mean, he's not like ugly.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_08

But like for me, he's like like a six or six and a half.

SPEAKER_04

What if he didn't have a mustache?

SPEAKER_08

Yeah, clean shaven.

SPEAKER_04

Uh a little better, huh?

SPEAKER_08

Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

He just looks young though, huh?

SPEAKER_08

Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

Jeff, what are you rate about? What if I told you he had millions and millions of dollars?

SPEAKER_08

No.

SPEAKER_04

Okay.

SPEAKER_08

That don't matter.

SPEAKER_07

Jeff, are you smashing?

SPEAKER_08

Well, it's just like the mustache and the little tiny like tear? Like, no, sir. Yeah. You know?

SPEAKER_04

You like it with a full face. Full like Jeff.

SPEAKER_08

I mean, commit or not, you know? Commit or go home.

SPEAKER_04

I think that's all I can do. But yeah, just like it's a good thing.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah, but like just be done. It's okay. It's okay.

SPEAKER_07

And then you said Hunter. His brother was a little cuter.

SPEAKER_08

Now I gotta look because you made me doubt myself.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah. Yeah. Well, well, so we'll just keep Instagram open because we gotta. We're about halfway.

SPEAKER_02

Jets better than Hunter. Looking. I can't vouch for the writing. I don't actually.

SPEAKER_04

No, he's better. Okay. What about what about when he puts his helmet on? Does that like give him another number with the goggles?

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_08

Like with the full gear and everything. Yeah, that for sure, yeah. Okay.

SPEAKER_04

A man in uniform, huh?

SPEAKER_08

I don't know. There I well, the thing is, I feel like maybe it's because like I think it's the facial hair that throws me off. I'm gonna be on it.

SPEAKER_02

Okay. Is Hunter older than Jet? Yeah. It looks the opposite. Oh, really? From this picture here. I don't know how old it is, I guess.

SPEAKER_08

I just but like the oversized t-shirts and stuff, I can't. I just can't. Even with Hunter, I can't. No, what are you doing?

SPEAKER_07

Alright. Eli Tomac. Now this guy is from Colorado. Family man. A farmer.

SPEAKER_08

See, that's the issue. A lot of them have like the cutest kids and like cutest wives, and all I did was get distracted looking at their children. Yeah, but No, I did. He was cute. I did like him. He's like a nine.

SPEAKER_04

Oh. Better than Ken Roxan.

SPEAKER_07

Wow, that's okay.

SPEAKER_08

Alright, this. You can just tell by looking at him that he seems like more of like a down-to-earth person.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah. Now I need to ask Elise. This this is a question that maybe she might be torn on. The next person is Ryan Dungey. Ryan might might beat out Ken in in Elise's world. So I don't know. I need I need to get to the bottom of that. Ryan?

SPEAKER_04

What do you think?

SPEAKER_07

Minnesota boy.

SPEAKER_04

Minnesota.

SPEAKER_07

Just he he was naked on a Wheaties bot. No, not no. He was naked on ESPN's thing.

SPEAKER_04

Sexiest man alive.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah, something like that. Sports Illustrated. Like an eight.

SPEAKER_04

Eight. Okay, all right. Right there with Ken Roxton. I like it.

SPEAKER_07

Alright. A little bit older gentleman. A little more tough guy persona, which kind of gets me going. Like, ooh. Kind of mysterious. Chad Reed. Chad. Australian? Australia. Four? Alright.

SPEAKER_08

And then we'll do five, because we we raised our scale. We can do like a five or six for him. Chad Reed, five. Okay.

SPEAKER_07

Okay. This one I'm kind of curious. Aaron Plessenger. Type that in.

SPEAKER_08

I did.

SPEAKER_07

Factory KTM. The cowboy. Aaron Pessenger.

SPEAKER_08

That was mean. What does it mean?

SPEAKER_07

Well.

SPEAKER_08

You know I hate mullets.

SPEAKER_07

Okay. To be fair, is it a mullet or is it a skulllet?

SPEAKER_04

So very accurate. It's bad, right? What if he was bald?

SPEAKER_08

That's the only option. I mean, honestly, like you just like I said with the facial hair, just commit. Just own it, man.

SPEAKER_02

Like, he'll be there.

SPEAKER_08

Own what nature has done. You know, it's okay. We're all getting older and it just happens.

SPEAKER_04

Now so lower than a four. Sexton was a four, so lower than that.

SPEAKER_07

Let's give him a four. Now, this guy, family man, we're we're in our mid-30s, so maybe this might get you going. Kind of a dad bod. Cooper Webb. Cooper Webb. Now he's got three little girls.

SPEAKER_04

Don't, don't, it's just based solely on the looks. Come on.

SPEAKER_07

I know he does have really cute kids, though his babies.

SPEAKER_04

He actually stole Ken Roxon's girlfriend.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah. So that hit that his chick was dating Kenny, and Cooper's like, nah, you're my rival. I'm stealing your girlfriend.

SPEAKER_04

Also stole some race wins and some championships. Yeah. Lots of stuff. I like it.

SPEAKER_07

I'd give him like a six or seven. Six, seven. Six, seven. All right, we got we got two more.

SPEAKER_04

Because the kids.

SPEAKER_07

Jason Anderson. Now Jason beats his competition.

SPEAKER_08

That's nice for him.

SPEAKER_07

And his wife.

SPEAKER_04

But the charges got dropped, so we can't bring that up.

SPEAKER_08

Oh my Helen. I see what you're saying now. Okay, all I could find. Is this him?

unknown

Yes.

SPEAKER_07

El Hombre, yeah.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah. Yeah.

SPEAKER_07

I mean, well, I wish I didn't know that.

SPEAKER_05

Oh, sorry.

SPEAKER_07

Oh, so so we're okay. Before you knew that. Like, just based on looks.

SPEAKER_04

He's like, I feel like everybody's got a limit. Like a couple backhands.

SPEAKER_08

I like more like, really? Yeah. I think he's like, I'm gonna put 8.5.

SPEAKER_07

Dang it.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, 8.5. Wow. Really? That's surprising. That one? Yeah. He's got the eyes. He looks just like Jeff. I can see why she's into that.

SPEAKER_04

Pull her off.

SPEAKER_08

You think he's ugly?

SPEAKER_04

Yeah. It's because you know too much, dude.

SPEAKER_08

But now that I know these things, things could change.

SPEAKER_07

Last one. Speaking of pretty eyes, Christian Craig. Christian Craig.

SPEAKER_04

Again, mid-30s.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah, he's our age.

SPEAKER_04

Cute kid. Pretty wife.

SPEAKER_07

No. Okay. Based on the face. Facial reaction. Okay.

SPEAKER_08

Seven.

SPEAKER_07

Seven. Okay. What about his wife? Paige. Paige. What are we thinking about Paige? Paige Craig. She's super cute. Oh, yes, she is. Yeah, if if you had to give Paige a smasher pass there. Or a 10 out of 10.

SPEAKER_04

Maybe an eight, right? Maybe.

SPEAKER_07

Maybe an eight. Bro, she's a mother. She's blonde. She's a blonde mother.

SPEAKER_08

I realize I know you want me to say a high number, so I'm not going to.

SPEAKER_04

Yep. Yeah, no.

SPEAKER_08

I can't give you that satisfaction. Me, yeah.

SPEAKER_04

All right. So we've got winner up here as ET three with a nine. Jason Anderson, 8.5. Ken Roxon 8. Not bad. Ryan Dungey, 8.

SPEAKER_07

See the trend here. The millennials. Our age.

SPEAKER_04

Older. The older guy. The older man.

SPEAKER_07

Okay. Yep. I can see that.

SPEAKER_04

Just kind of like you. Oh, a little rugged.

SPEAKER_07

No.

SPEAKER_04

Been through a couple. No. All right. Worn out. See warning.

SPEAKER_01

Just seen some things.

SPEAKER_04

Tired. Tired.

SPEAKER_08

I don't need someone who has lots of energy, you know? We don't need that.

SPEAKER_04

Somebody on their back. To go out and go party and stuff. Like, no.

SPEAKER_07

That's funny. All right. Jesse. On the intro, Jeff said, you don't like dirt bikes. So what about she said that? What about being oh maybe it was Jeff?

SPEAKER_04

All right.

SPEAKER_07

Sorry. What about being a wife and a mother makes you nervous about dirt bikes? But we'll let's start wife first. Does it make you nervous to see Jeff on a bike?

SPEAKER_08

No.

SPEAKER_02

Why? I got that pretty good life insurance. Pretty, pretty good.

SPEAKER_08

That'll work. Pretty good policy. Got out on him. No.

SPEAKER_04

The problem is he's not gonna die. He's gonna just maim himself. And you're gonna be stuck with him hurt forever. Like that's the problem.

SPEAKER_08

Well, I mean, I don't know. I've never really gotten nervous because I guess just knowing him as long as I have, like, he knows that if he makes a stupid decision, it's like he always says, play stupid games, get stupid prizes. So if something happens, he's gonna have to own it and deal with it. So it's like, okay, if you're gonna go do this, and if something happens, you know that you're gonna have to deal with it.

SPEAKER_07

Or I'm in I go on the trip with Jeff. Uh we'll say. There you go. And I do something stupid and I stuff Jeff. Jeff in a corner, put him down, break his tib fib.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah.

SPEAKER_07

How I mean you're gonna be mad at me, obviously. But are you gonna be mad at Jeff as well?

SPEAKER_04

I mean Jeff's the one who fell down.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah, like you should have stayed up, Jeff. Like you should have saw that comment.

SPEAKER_04

I gave you the remote.

SPEAKER_08

I mean, yeah, there'll be a little bit of frustration, probably. But it'd probably be more into his recovery. Because see, that's the other thing, though, is my brain thinks differently about recovery. Because like if he's not willing to work to get better, I'm not gonna help him get better because I know he can do more. Like it's not so nice I have a different part of my brain that I'm gonna.

SPEAKER_07

It's not so much that hey, he's hurt, like he he'll get better, like it's a broken bone. Yeah, it doesn't worry, worry about like work or anything like that.

SPEAKER_08

No, because I know him and he'll just go crazy. So he'll do anything he can to get back out there. Okay, like I know that he can't he can't sit still for long.

SPEAKER_07

So, what does it make you nervous as a mother? That's my baby.

SPEAKER_04

Okay, but babies bounce.

SPEAKER_08

Have you tested this theory?

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, I cannot answer that.

SPEAKER_08

Um you plead the fifth?

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, yeah, right. Yeah. You've been advised to plead the fifth, yeah.

SPEAKER_08

Under the advice of counsel.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_08

Uh well. Okay. So he's older than three. Right? He's understands more of what he's doing. No, he knows he's making stupid choices. Yes. Oh, oh, Jeff. No, Jeff, Jeff knows he's making stupid choices. Why is it stupid? It's the best time. If he's making a choice when he does something, he's like, okay, this probably isn't a good idea, but I'm gonna do it. Or whatever. Like, he understands like the risk of a situation.

SPEAKER_03

Risk versus reward. Exactly.

SPEAKER_08

Exactly, or like a consequence for an action. Elston does not. Okay. I know. You want this to happen so bad, Ori. I know.

SPEAKER_02

Let me talk. Did you really expect a good outcome from this on your end?

SPEAKER_08

But what if it's not Jeff's fault? Like I know. Well, I understand things happen.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, I get that.

SPEAKER_08

Trying to try to help happens.

SPEAKER_04

If Jeff gets hurt, it's okay. Jeff, as long as Jeff puts in the work to get better and we know that he'll somehow still make money, all as well.

SPEAKER_08

If he just gives up, then I'm no, I'm not doing that. And I think that's been like years and years of me helping people get better, because I've had patients who like will not do anything to get better.

SPEAKER_04

You've both been her patients, huh? Yeah. You have been my patients.

SPEAKER_08

And it's like, if you're not willing to get better, how can I help you get better if you're not gonna put the work in? And so if he's gonna, you know what I mean?

SPEAKER_02

So hold on. Have you both been her patients from dirt bike wrecks? Yes, yes, yeah.

SPEAKER_08

There's another one, exhibit B, if you will. I treat a lot of people who get in dirt bike wrecks, and I've had patients who are younger and they make these fun choices are not great. Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_07

We're both in there for our knees. Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_08

Uh-huh.

SPEAKER_07

I've been in there for other stuff, but that's stupid. Yeah.

SPEAKER_08

Which I have. I mean, but the other thing is there's so many collarbones and stuff, but you don't go to therapy for that usually. You just heal and move on.

SPEAKER_04

Collarbones are nothing.

unknown

No.

SPEAKER_04

But they're disposable.

SPEAKER_08

Also, you could go to therapy, but you're like, meh, I'm just healing and I just function. Yeah, yeah. Just clicks, you know, every time I turn this way, but it's fine. Just pop it back and keep moving, you know, keep trucking. It's not a big deal. But Elston just wants to go and he doesn't think about this. That's why. Now hold on.

SPEAKER_04

So tell so do you think that after he's going to crash, right? Even if it's on a pedal bike or not even, let's not even say motorcycle. Like, is he the kind of kid who crashes and then is scared from whatever happened?

unknown

No.

SPEAKER_04

No. So he's ready to saddle back up and do it again. Is that what scares you? Is that is that nothing scares him? Because I mean everybody's got to learn, right? Yeah. He's got to fall down to learn.

SPEAKER_08

Oh, yeah. And I'm definitely, I'm more of the parent that, like, if they fall, I let them fall and I see how they react. I try not to react at all.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_08

Like I have, you know, some parent people will be like, oh my gosh, are you okay?

SPEAKER_04

And I'm just like, I can see you being a bad mother. I just wait. Yeah. Uh sorry, not bad mother, but uh no, I do like that.

SPEAKER_08

You gotta let them like see how they react and then figure it out. Because I don't want them to think there's fear or pain with something if there's not.

SPEAKER_04

And so and half the time they react based off of your reaction. Exactly. Like if you're freaking out, then they're gonna freak out. But if you're cool, then oh like oh maybe it's okay.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah, exactly. And so it's like, but I mean, he I mean he doesn't really crash a ton, and that's the other thing, too, is he has a lot of natural talent with a lot of things. Two things going forward, and so it's and I know that he has a lot of like skill, and that's the thing that I love and I hate about Jeff too, is he's very talented at like everything he tries. Yeah, like this man can get on a skateboard and go out and go skateboarding and stuff. Like you look at him, you're like, What? He gets on a ripstick, he goes up and down the street. I'm like, how do you how what is happening right now? Like, and it's so I know Elston's inherited some of that, and so I just but and he's really done really well, like broken bone wise and stuff. He hasn't really had a lot of injuries except for falling out of a truck.

SPEAKER_04

We talked about that, we did talk about that. Yeah, not his fault, yeah, definitely not, not entirely his fault.

SPEAKER_08

I'm a little bitter about that day. Y'all talked about that too, but I recent.

SPEAKER_07

I mean, but that was kind of uh how you guys got together in a way, right?

SPEAKER_04

Oh, yeah, that was yeah, that all needed to be told. Divine destiny.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah, that happened like junior year or senior year, and we didn't get together until after high school.

SPEAKER_02

It helps in the process.

SPEAKER_08

I mean, obviously, I'm okay with it because anyway, but that's a whole different situation.

SPEAKER_05

What do you think, Will? Not bad. Mel Yellow. Not bad. It's the go-to.

SPEAKER_08

Does it taste different than Mountain Dew?

SPEAKER_05

Well, yeah. Not a lot different.

SPEAKER_02

Oh, yeah, it does.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, yeah, it does. Try Mountain Dew. Oh, yeah, here.

SPEAKER_08

I think you need a comparison.

SPEAKER_07

If not, if not dirt bikes, would you be more comfortable with your kids doing other sports?

SPEAKER_02

Like dirt bike versus four-wheeler. That's I grew up on four-wheelers.

SPEAKER_04

Oh, oh, we're getting the dirt bike four-wheeler conversation.

SPEAKER_08

I mean, here's the thing. Anything. No.

SPEAKER_07

What about a more of a traditional sport?

SPEAKER_08

Well, even like other sports are scary. Like now they're starting to tackle football so young. And I have so many patients who are younger that are having so many injuries because these kids are doing year-round sports and their bodies just aren't built for this. Their growth plates, all their like they're getting it's like Oshka slaughters. I can never say it, but it's like all these. Push the button wheel.

SPEAKER_04

Nah, that would have been yes. He needs to be in here every week just on the buttons.

SPEAKER_08

But I mean, I'm one though. If my kids want to try something and they want to do it, I'm gonna do everything I can to help them and let them try it. I will be terrified and just sit on the sidelines if I need to, but I'm gonna do it.

SPEAKER_07

That's because I see something in Elston, and we can make this happen, Jeff. We could, we could, he could go pro Destri, pushed him to the side, on to the next one. He's had his chance. I'll I'll be his manager. I'll be like uh the who's Jets manager that stole all his money.

SPEAKER_04

Oh, GB. Yeah.

SPEAKER_07

I'll be like that guy.

SPEAKER_04

Still all of his money, yeah. Anyways.

SPEAKER_07

Okay. So do you believe in like there could be life lessons in dirt biking or sports, that kind of stuff?

SPEAKER_08

Yeah.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah.

SPEAKER_08

So it's I mean it well yeah.

SPEAKER_04

Refresh my memory. Did you play sports in growing up?

SPEAKER_08

I cheered.

SPEAKER_04

Oh, so no?

SPEAKER_08

Yeah. So no.

SPEAKER_04

I just kidding. I knew you cheered, so that's why I was setting you up for that. I know. I give my wife crap about that all the time. I know. But okay, anyways, back to Ori's question. Life lesson. Is there lessons to be learned?

SPEAKER_08

I think so.

SPEAKER_04

I mean But do you feel like the lessons could be learned in other ways or no? Like no, racing or nothing.

SPEAKER_07

That's it. Oh, but I guess that's the question. Now, do we just let Elston ride? Can we can we throw him in a few races?

SPEAKER_08

Well, here's the other thing with races. Okay, I have no issue with races, right? This is what y'all are doing, right? But money-wise and time-wise, uh that's a huge commitment.

SPEAKER_07

True Goon podcast will pay for the entry fee. His first race, TGP, we'll cover it. Don't worry.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah, but then how old is he when you do that? Next year.

SPEAKER_07

He's three.

SPEAKER_08

You said he's three, so three.

SPEAKER_07

Next year.

SPEAKER_04

He's got a bike. We're ready.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah. It doesn't runs.

SPEAKER_02

We'll have it run in the school. He can ride a strider, but he's not.

SPEAKER_08

I don't know if his little legs will even reach the like little.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah. No, he's perfect size. Like we're we're honestly a little behind.

unknown

Oh my gosh.

SPEAKER_08

We're behind.

SPEAKER_04

Honestly. Yep. Okay, so Ori, why don't you share a little story with Jesse about something, life lesson that you've learned through racing. And then I'll do one. So I don't know why I'm touching you. And then I'll do one that just through riding that I've learned. And then maybe we can try to convert her right here. So go ahead. Racing. Life lesson.

SPEAKER_07

Life lesson. So just kind of like like we already talked about, like falling down, getting picked back up, but perseverance, like especially desert racing, it's a longer race. Whereas life is a, you know, hopefully you have a you live a long time. And you're gonna go through ups and downs. You're gonna go through sections of life that are really hard and stuff that's a little bit easier. And I've talked about it before. Was it about three years ago? I kind of hit a low on my health in a way. I was doing a I was doing a ride or a race with Awesome Monk doing a night race, and I was like the biggest I've ever been, the most out of shape I've ever been, and I wrecked on this hill, and I couldn't breathe just because of how out of shape I was in. And it kind of like that moment kind of pushed me, like, hey, I want to I want to do better in that area of life. Now I've and and since then I've kind of exercised more and trying to be better, healthier, whatever, kind of, kind of loosely. But as har as far as like mindset where you get deep into a race or riding where you don't think you could go any further, but you have to, you can't just quit. So, and I've I've experienced that in life, applied that where I've had low lows where I've sold a house, kind of been quasi-homeless, not knowing what to do, moved my family into a little trailer in the middle of the summer. It's like, what do you do? You can't just quit, you gotta keep going. So that's how I've correlated racing to life. What about you, Will?

SPEAKER_04

Well, I feel like with racing too, is that it might suck really bad for the moment you're in, but it's just look at the bigger picture. Like, dude, once I get through this section right here, I know I have a straightaway up here that I can catch my breath on. It's like right now it worked. Like, dude, I'm drowning and it's freaking hot. It sucks, but like, guess what? This isn't forever. I just gotta get to September, and then I just gotta get to October, and then I just gotta get so I feel like it helps teach you the it sucks now, but just grind it out now, and then it'll be better and then, right? One of the biggest things for dirt bikes that I've is just the the people that I've met and the the examples that we've I mean, like the St. John's and the Joneses and all the people growing up, it's just like holy cow, the the camaradity that comes around the riding, and that can be in racing, but it also doesn't have to be at all. Like the friends that I probably wouldn't even have, but the just the connection of oh you got you ride, you know, like oh you got a motorcycle with me too, and then like boom, it just sparks, you know, and and that's all that it takes, you know. And and so, like, yeah, the injuries suck, and I've been really lucky, right? Uh with the injury-wise, not very many of them. But I mean, so far, I wouldn't trade it. I I'd take the injuries over the or for and trade of you know all the relationships that I've had and made. And I mean, that's the only reason we're friends. Yeah, yep.

unknown

Yep.

SPEAKER_04

Yep. Anyways, now I know that you can get that kind of stuff through other ways, right? Sports and and different things, but nah, I couldn't. I don't think so. I feel like the motorcycle for me was what, you know, like the basketball, it's like scrammed over this. Football, man, somebody else would do it. I'm gonna handle it. Like, you know what? I don't know.

SPEAKER_07

Later too. We were 14 when we got we got our bikes, 14 or 15. And and nothing kind of drove me.

SPEAKER_04

See, way too late in life.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah, well, that's why we weren't three. Um but like you said, like you could you could get it in other sports, but I never felt that kind of spark of wanting to be driven towards something, and then wanting to ride and wanting to race all the time, and then applying that somewhere else. Football never did that for me, baseball, anything like that. So dirt bikes.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah. Yeah. Are you converted?

SPEAKER_08

Um I didn't ride dirt bikes, and I think we're friends, right?

SPEAKER_04

You know? Yeah, yeah, yeah, yeah. Yeah. Just kidding. Did you ever get on the back of anybody's dirt bike? Like growing up high school?

SPEAKER_07

Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_07

Wait, so when you get on the back of like Jeff's bike, it doesn't get you like this. No? I don't think I've ever rode a dirt bike with Jeff. Oh, it's gonna change Jeff. You get that bike riding, you get you get that bike running and just rip her up and down the street.

SPEAKER_04

Make sure she accidentally burns her leg on the exhaust. Well, I've done that before.

SPEAKER_07

Oh my gosh. I've yeah. Elise wraps her legs around because of that.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, like, nope, we ain't doing this.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, hey uh, we bought a razor, so oh, did you?

SPEAKER_05

Whoa, shoot, we've already gone off the deep end, huh?

SPEAKER_02

Well, just uh an older cheap one. Is the Razor 800? You had an 800, didn't you?

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, it was the best one, dude. It was so sick. Yeah, I remember it. Orange members rolling that thing. Yeah, that's right.

SPEAKER_02

That's the one you talked about.

SPEAKER_04

Dude, I feel like it was the perfect. Is it a four-seater or two? Four-seater. Okay. We had just the two, so maybe it's a little different, but it was like the perfect amount of power where you could just hold it pin and just drift. It's like, you know, like it wouldn't loop around because it didn't have enough power to throw it all the way around. But like it was, yeah, it was fun. We had a good time in that thing. I found the power. But 800, good. Get out with the family.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, it does really good at that, just cruising around, you know, at our pace.

SPEAKER_04

Because Jesse probably doesn't want to rip, right? You kind of want to just cruise, right? I like to go fast, but slam whoops, nice.

SPEAKER_07

Do you enjoy like the I do? I like jumping, I like going on razor rides and stuff.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah. Listen, I like that stuff for me. Yeah, but but like I don't do that anymore. I used to do a lot more stuff before I had kids.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah, but so you like the adventure of like looking around, like finding different trails and stuff?

SPEAKER_08

Yeah.

SPEAKER_07

So we could apply that to cross-country racing with Elston. We could the adventure. The adventure.

SPEAKER_08

Okay, listen, here's the thing. Do you guys consider yourself adrenaline junk junkies?

SPEAKER_01

No.

SPEAKER_08

You just said no.

SPEAKER_02

What do you what are you looking at for?

unknown

No.

SPEAKER_02

I'm never. You're not in trouble, Aurie.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah, you don't feel like that. All right, yes. Like a little bit.

SPEAKER_07

You want to go faster and you want to go further and you're hitting those jumps, like you don't feel like my favorite part of a race, especially a desert race, which is the most terrifying part, is when you have a bomb start and you have everyone, and then they tell everyone to shut the bikes off. And it's quiet. And you're and you're waiting for that banner to drop, and then everyone like I need someone to yell or something because everyone's so quiet, they're so focused, and your heart's just beating in your chest. And dude, you're your your heart's beating, your adrenaline's spiked. Yeah, it's my favorite part. Yeah, and then all of a sudden they drop the banner and you hear you kick the bike, start the bike, go. And yeah, the chaos after it.

SPEAKER_04

It's great.

SPEAKER_08

And even like so, adrenaline.

SPEAKER_04

So when we yeah, even like when I got in the rent a truck, the truck we rented over the weekend, first thing you get on the highway, flip on the floor, right? You gotta see what it does, right? So, yeah, there's a little bit of that in those. Yeah, okay. Anyway, where are you going with that? What does that what does that matter?

SPEAKER_08

What why does that matter? I don't know. Well, that's this guy.

SPEAKER_04

A little bit.

SPEAKER_08

He knows, he knows himself. He knows that, like, he's like, Yeah, I can I'd be reckless.

SPEAKER_04

When I'm in control, though. I feel like Jeff also knows his limits, though. Yeah, like because he's learned them. Yeah, true. But like I said, how did you learn them? Doing stupid stuff. You passed him, right? You went too far and oh yeah.

SPEAKER_08

Now he gets to apply that as being a father towards his kid on dirt bikes, and you're gonna look at him like, man, Jeff is so Would you trust your son to be coached by Ori and Jeff to ride dirt bikes?

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, yeah, yeah. Because, well, because no, I mean, Ori would be fine.

SPEAKER_03

I know my kids fine.

SPEAKER_04

Well, I know Ori would teach him the right things, and then my kid's not gonna do like Ori's not gonna be like go jump that jump before he knows that he's ready. Like, you know what I mean? Like he doesn't want, I'm sure you don't want the kid to get hurt either. No, so yeah, I think it'd be fine. And Ori knows, right? So he's gonna teach the fundamentals like hey dude, you need this is how your body needs to be, this is where you need to break all the things, right? Like, so yeah, I'd be it'd be all right. Would be the worst thing ever.

SPEAKER_07

Fine with Jeff teaching.

SPEAKER_02

I wouldn't be a good coach, I don't know how to ride a dirt bike, right? Thanksgiving when my little brother came down with his friend, we went out riding through the wash, and I don't I can't ride in sand for nothing. And I don't know why. I always thought this. I I don't know if I remember being taught or what, but I had it in my head when you're going through sand, sit on the back of the bike so that you just kind of float. What are you doing? Like put your nuts up on the gas tank and put the throttle down. I'm like, that no, that's wrong. And I did it, and guess what? Go through the sand better. I don't even know how to ride the stupid thing.

SPEAKER_04

Trial and error. Trial and error is the only way. You can hang off the back, but you need to be like fifth gear. Yeah, pinned going fast. I was not going fast.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

Sand, you gotta go fast.

SPEAKER_07

No, you you'd be a good coach, dude, because just the little basic fundamentals like William was talking about, you know those. And you're gonna tell you you're gonna teach your son how to do that. And maybe Emery, too.

SPEAKER_08

I mean, I love Emery, but I don't see her being I don't know if she'd want to.

SPEAKER_02

She does like to ride her bike. No girls on motorcycles. That's a that's a no-no. I mean, she I don't believe we're allowed to tell her what she can and can't do anymore.

SPEAKER_08

No, we for sure are not allowed to do that. But also, it's just not her. Okay, yeah.

SPEAKER_04

Not right.

SPEAKER_08

She's six going on like 20.

SPEAKER_04

So awesome. Awesome.

SPEAKER_07

So I don't have any more dirt bike questions for it. Perfect.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, we're over that.

SPEAKER_07

Okay.

SPEAKER_04

On to the good stuff. Okay. Oh, good. Now let's get deep.

SPEAKER_07

All right. Jeez.

SPEAKER_04

So hold on, can I pee?

SPEAKER_07

Yep. All right. All right, Jesse. You and Jeff kind of a little bit of a fitness journey, right? So weight loss. Weight loss journey. Okay.

SPEAKER_03

So we well, me. Let me stop you right there. Yeah. Weight loss.

SPEAKER_07

So William and I kind of talk about this topic once in a while. William's doing, he's been lifting a lot, and he he he's all over the place. He's poking, he's cutting, he's whatever. I'm just trying, I'm just trying to do like be consistent, which I'm not. That's my hardest thing is be consistent on something. Now you've recently lost 30 pounds.

SPEAKER_08

Almost, yeah.

SPEAKER_07

Yep. What are you doing to consistently that you've had that success?

SPEAKER_08

So I had a really crappy year last year, and I gained a lot of stress weight. Like I wasn't even like overeating or anything. I just my body just went into like fight mode and just started just putting on all the stress weight. And it was just one thing after another. I had a really crappy work situation. I was finishing my bachelor's. I got in a car accident. I had all the stress happening, and it was just we bought a house and like everything came happening at tumbling down at one time. And so I just wasn't happy with myself. And I'm like, what is going on?

SPEAKER_02

And then did you mention school? Yeah.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Okay. Yeah.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_08

And so I said, I'm going to do something. I'm going to make a change. And so I tried a couple different things, but you've got to figure out what works better for your body. So hormone-wise, I had to figure out what works for me. And so I've been increasing for me personally. I increased protein and I've decreased my sugars. I can't cut it out completely because I like sweet stuff. And so I've decreased it. I've added some additives in, but not really. Um, like stevia a little bit, like in my protein shakes and stuff. I don't drink soda anymore. I just drink water. I just found a protein refresher that I'm trying. It's actually really sweet, so I'm not sure how I feel about it, but we're gonna figure that out.

SPEAKER_07

So so just you've swept.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_08

I've just changed my whole lifestyle around. I mean, I've always been pretty active, but I just try to make more of an effort to be active. It's one of those stupid things where you're like just park a few step paces away, or like, you know, okay, if I need to go up the stairs to get this, this, and this, I'm gonna do it in like three stages instead of just one, you know, like little stuff like that. Because I mean, I'm gonna be honest, I'm not waking up at four in the morning to work out. I want to sleep. Screw it. Like, I'm not doing it. And I have stuff to do after work, like I have kids and a house and stuff.

SPEAKER_04

So okay, so you found your low, right? And then you you all those did all those stress things go away? Or or how are you able to I mean, obviously you graduated school.

SPEAKER_08

Yes.

SPEAKER_04

Is the work situation better?

SPEAKER_08

Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

You got the house, it's comfortable, you're moved in. Okay, so we're we're kind of eliminating some of the stress.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

So that you you have the decision to make the change. Okay. So then how long ago was that?

SPEAKER_08

I think when did I start doing this? Like three, four months ago?

SPEAKER_04

Yeah. I'd say three months.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah. So it's been slow because I haven't 30 pounds in three months? Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

That's fast.

SPEAKER_08

Is it three or four months? Maybe?

unknown

Maybe.

SPEAKER_04

Was it just after March? Either way. I don't know. Either way. That's pretty fast. That's March.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_08

But like, and it's funny because everyone, because I haven't done like I haven't got on like a um semiglue glutide or anything or anything like that. Because I just talked to my doctor about stuff. There's nothing wrong with it. Just for me and all the other medical, like, just like hormones and all that stuff for me, it just wasn't a good idea to try that yet. And it's like, I don't think you're at that point. I think you can keep doing what you're doing.

SPEAKER_04

So we're gonna double back to the hormones. But so what keeps you motivated now that you're three or four months in, like, what keeps you motivated to keep going?

SPEAKER_08

I feel so much better.

SPEAKER_04

The feeling?

SPEAKER_08

Yeah. Like I actually like myself again. Like I didn't realize how much I really just hated like looking at myself. Like I just was disgusted with myself without even realizing it. Like I was just not really depressed, but I was just like I don't know, just like you just feel like ugh, you know? And I was just like exhausted all the time, and I just didn't feel motivated. I didn't feel like I wanted to try new things and do things, and then all of a sudden, like I'm doing this, and I'm like, I have more energy, and I just I want to feel like myself again, and I've become more like because I've always been like I guess quirky, and I just say kind of what I'm thinking, and like I like to have fun and I like to laugh, I like to be people people laugh. I can't talk, but and I was kind of like becoming shy again, and I'm like, no, you know, I just wasn't myself. So then I became myself again, and I like it.

SPEAKER_04

Awesome. So what's the goal? Is there a goal, or are we just gonna ride it until you're happy or as long as the feeling of happiness is there, you just right, yeah, for sure.

SPEAKER_08

I mean, I want to lose, so I gained about 50 pounds in that year of just stress, and I feel like stress weight's harder to lose than any other kind of weight. I've realized because it like was just awful. But so I for sure want to lose that, and then if I can lose more, I would like to be down. So we have a goal. We talked about getting down to our weights who were when we got married by our 15th anniversary, which is next November.

SPEAKER_04

Nice, wow.

SPEAKER_08

So we'll see.

SPEAKER_04

Okay, so pause on that. So we you're saying we have the goal, Jeff. What are you just kind of riding her example, her coattails here, or is there something that's motivating you?

SPEAKER_02

We're actually in a competition.

SPEAKER_04

Okay. That she set.

SPEAKER_02

Some people knew that. And I so we she said she wanted to lose 50 pounds. And I said, Well, I bet I could lose 50 pounds for you. And she's okay, let's play a bet. I said, Okay, if you lose 50 pounds first, we will take your mother to Disneyland. And I said, if I lose 50 pounds first, we're not going to Disneyland. I like it. We ain't going at all. Ever.

SPEAKER_04

Okay. So how were you looking? I've lost 20.

SPEAKER_02

Oh. But it's been probably about three weeks since I've lost any. I I I get the the debt lows, you know? Yeah. Or I guess the lows are the good thing. I lose, yep. And then like I'll go on a boy.

SPEAKER_06

Relapse and a relapse. Yes.

SPEAKER_02

Hardcore. Yep. Yep. Yep. But I mean, I don't know. Well that's where you gain any back. I just kind of plateau and I'll get back on.

SPEAKER_04

And that's what you got to find, right? Is the balance of like you still have to be happy in life. Like you still have to like not just hate every time you have to eat or whatever. Yes. But yeah, you got to find what works, right? Okay. Have so Jesse, you did some hormone stuff, right? Did you go get some blood work and get it all did blow your mind the result that you got?

SPEAKER_08

I mean, I haven't, I need to go get more stuff done. I've always had issues. So I have pol PCOS. I'm assuming you know what that is. Do you know what that is? Polycystic ovarian syndrome. Oh. So I have cyst all over my ovaries, right? Which is one of the things that caused us to take seven years to get pregnant with Emery.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_08

And so it just causes my hormones to be out of balance. It causes, I'm insulin resistant. And so that's another thing with like weight gain and like I used to have acne. I don't know if y'all remember, but I had a lot of issues with that growing up. And so different stuff like that that I've been working on for years to try to balance out, right? So I always knew these were issues. And so just working with my doctor and also with like my mom and like her history with breast cancer, things like that, we've been like on higher alert just because of like my age and all the and then I had undiagnosed pre-eclampsia, like they never officially diagnosed me when I was pregnant with Elston. Oh no. So sorry. Which is high risk. Yeah. So there's just a lot of little factors that I've like really tried to take my health more into consideration because I'm like, I got these two kids, and you know, I want to do things. Yeah. Have fun.

SPEAKER_04

And be around.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah. Yeah. Like I want to be able to run with my kids and have fun. And I also have like super relaxed joints. So my joints aren't great. Like I've already had two ankle surgeries and my right ankle is not super great either. And so I already know that my body isn't gonna be working at a hundred percent for a long time. So I gotta take care of it in a different way.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_08

You know?

SPEAKER_04

We did you, Jeff, ever consider getting any hormone, like checking that kind of stuff out at all?

SPEAKER_02

So I actually considered what whatever Ori was on. I don't remember what it's called.

SPEAKER_07

Uh red at that's not the hormone thing. Oh, I don't know. Yeah, that's a GLP one.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, like getting blood work done to see like where your testosterone naturally is and the different, you know, your all the different things.

SPEAKER_02

I've not really thought about it. I'm not necessarily like against it. Yeah. I don't even go to my yearly checkout.

SPEAKER_08

I'm lucky if I can get him to go to a yearly checkout.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, nobody's got time for that. I just started going to the dentist again like the last year. It was like 14. No, the dentist you need to go to. Yeah. Yeah. No, that one I can get behind. I don't know. I'm just it's not even so that I'm not worried about it. I just I'm too lazy, I guess.

SPEAKER_04

But so I like that you guys are doing it together. And I don't reason I ask you about the the hormones is because I'm kind of interested. I've never had my stuff all done on, but I kind of want to just to see where where I'm at. But my Megan did her hormones, and it's like, oh, that's why I feel like this. Oh, okay. And it kind of opened up my eyes too, because to to why the the crazy comes and goes and the you know the highs and lows. And she's been very open lately with the hey, this is why I'm acting this way. She's very aware. So so you know, use that. Let him know, hey, I'm not gonna be very nice for a minute, and I'm sorry beforehand, you know. But uh, it's great that you guys are working together and you know, being so when you see him drinking a soda or something, do you give him a hard time?

SPEAKER_08

No. I mean, sometimes I will. I'll just joke with them and be like, Yeah, it looks like I'm going to Disneyland. Yeah, yeah, right.

SPEAKER_02

That's all it takes. That's all it takes. I asked her to learn a bowl of ice cream. She says, No, I'm going to Disneyland.

SPEAKER_04

Nice. Does does that bug you or is that motivate you? No. It whatever.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah. I'm at the point where, like, you know, Megan and I are whatever, like, she doesn't even have to say, I just like, I can't because she's gonna, and she wouldn't even do anything. You know what I mean? But like, uh, I shouldn't. She, you know, it's yeah. The other day, Friday, I was driving home. I was supposed to go from Vegas to St. George, meet up with them. They were up there staying at a house and I was working. And uh coming across town, I'm like, they hadn't had lunch. It's like two o'clock. I'm like, I'm just gonna whip it through in and out right here. You know, go there. Can't find my wallet. Damn it, I must have left in the work truck. Drive all the way back across town to get the wallet, toss the truck, can't find the wallet, starting to panic, find it in the car. I had it the whole time. And so then, yeah, it's like, well, there was my side. I shouldn't eat in and out, so ride on by on the way home. No, just didn't eat. But anyways, I feel like it's good that you guys can work together as a team, a family unit, yes, and work out.

SPEAKER_07

How do you that's my biggest struggle is say I'm with with people or whatever, and or I'm at work and they say, Hey, we're gonna go eat. Or how do you how do you deal with that? And or how do you tell them, like, no, I'm not I'm gonna eat this, I'm not gonna eat what you're you're having. And then they kind of give you a hard time. What the heck? Are you two? Do you ever run into that at all?

SPEAKER_08

I mean, a little bit. I mean, I still go like go out to eat and stuff. Like we just I had in and out yesterday. Like I still eat, I just will watch what I'm eating or how much I'm eating.

SPEAKER_04

Like, you're not going to in and out every day.

SPEAKER_08

No, exactly, right? Like, so, but like if I get like a double, I'm getting more protein. I'll just maybe take off like one of the like buns, size of the buns. You know what I mean? Like things like that, like just little things where but like I'm not drinking the soda with it.

SPEAKER_04

Yep.

SPEAKER_08

So like I have the burger, or if you want to do protein style, you can't. It's messy to me, so I don't do that. Keep the burger. I like bread. Okay, I like carbs, so I still keep those in a little bit because I it's it works for my body, right? But I mean, I just go places and I just make a choice depending on where I am or kind of what I'm eating throughout the day. If I'm like, okay, I've had a good protein shake today, I don't have to focus so much on protein. I could get kind of more empty calories. That's fine. But if it's like, oh, I haven't had much protein today, I really need to like because you're supposed to eat as much protein as the weight you want to be, supposedly a day, which is a lot sometimes, depending on how much weight you want to be, right?

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_08

And so when you're eating over like a hundred something grams of protein, that's a lot of protein.

SPEAKER_04

Do uh okay, so we talked about what motivated us to make the change. We're talking about what's keeping us motivated to make the change, right? So what happens when you take her to Disneyland with her mom and that's done, then what?

SPEAKER_02

Well, I have another 50 pounds on top of that to lose. Oh, so when we started dating, I so we started dating and then I actually lost more after that, like when we were working on the power plant for the outage. I had got down to 190. By the time we got engaged and got married, I was probably at 220. Like that's what my suit is, is 220. Okay. And I was at 320. Dang. So yeah, so by next November I need to be down to about 220. You better kick in gear, bud. Oh, I got it. I've been saying that for 10 years. I got it. I got it. We'll get there.

SPEAKER_04

What about you?

SPEAKER_08

For some reason, he got a lot of Mountain Dew at our wedding. I don't remember why. There was so much Mountain Dew.

SPEAKER_04

Does he even like Mountain Dew?

SPEAKER_08

But there was a lot that we had at our apartment after our wedding, and I feel like that contributed a little bit. Will, do you remember that?

SPEAKER_04

Oh, you're gonna blame that.

SPEAKER_02

How many cases did we get? I don't even remember. Dude, I think we had tiny little Sandro department. I put like 15 cases of mountain dew.

SPEAKER_08

The whole like bottom half of our pantry was full of Mountain Dew for like weeks.

SPEAKER_02

Thank you, buddy.

SPEAKER_08

Mind you, I don't like Mountain Dew, by the way. So you are welcome.

SPEAKER_04

That's awesome.

SPEAKER_08

Oh my gosh.

SPEAKER_04

So, Jesse, what do you think that once you like are you fearful to falling back into old habits?

SPEAKER_08

No.

SPEAKER_04

No. What's gonna keep you motivated in this life change that you've made?

SPEAKER_08

Me. In the way I feel. I mean, it's changed a lot about me. I feel like Jeff?

SPEAKER_04

Has it changed a lot about her?

SPEAKER_02

What did you notice? The weight loss? Yeah. Yeah, she seems more happy. Like she was staying with herself or about herself. She just she's way more confident, goes out and does more things, is just happy. She glows. Confident woman is good.

SPEAKER_01

Mm-hmm.

SPEAKER_04

That's good.

SPEAKER_08

She's not scared to, you know, not scared much anymore.

SPEAKER_04

So no, that's awesome. I'm proud of you guys. Keep it up. When you're ready for weight, once you're done losing the weight and you want to get shredded and jacked, I don't know where to go. Yeah, I don't know.

SPEAKER_02

You know, another leading factor of my weight loss is, you know, for the podcast here. My bike is set up for like a 220-pound rider. Oh, yeah. I'm too cheap to wait.

SPEAKER_04

Buy new springs, dude. Lose it. Wait.

SPEAKER_08

He wouldn't put them on even if he bought them because he doesn't ever fix any of his own. He's tired.

SPEAKER_07

He's tired. Well, let's um let's start with an air filter. So please, dude, don't take the air filter.

SPEAKER_04

Put it off, bro.

SPEAKER_07

I didn't throw it away.

SPEAKER_02

I just tucked it to the side.

SPEAKER_08

Didn't even take it all the way off. Just tucked it.

SPEAKER_07

Just tucked it off.

SPEAKER_08

He buffalo build it.

SPEAKER_07

The reason I was laughing earlier was my dad texted me and he said that I said, Hey, I'm podcasting because I want to do a life story with my grandma just for her.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah.

SPEAKER_07

But he said that, oh, by the way, grandma is starting to listen to your podcast. And I'm like, oh. And then the next she said she listened to one of your podcasts where you're talking about an orgasm you had. And I'm like, I don't remember that. I don't remember saying any of that. But that was not.

unknown

I'm coming. I'm coming. I'm coming.

SPEAKER_07

It's probably the drop. Grandma. That's how they do the orgasm. That's that's a drop. That's not me. Hold on. I don't think I have. I don't think. Yeah, Grandma, if you're listening, that's that's a drop. That's what they call those. It's not me saying that.

SPEAKER_04

What's her name, Grandma?

SPEAKER_07

Avanel. Mary Avanel Woods. Grandma Woods, don't worry. Oh, Ori. We'll keep it clean. Okay. Any more.

SPEAKER_04

Nope, we're done with it, okay.

SPEAKER_07

What's the strangest thing you've ever done? I'll give you an example.

SPEAKER_04

Whoa, that is broad.

SPEAKER_08

It's very I was like, I'll give you an example. I have a subcategory.

SPEAKER_07

So remember, grandma is listening.

SPEAKER_01

I don't know if it's grandma.

SPEAKER_07

Um there. So Jesse knows about this because she's put needles in my face trying to make my face feel better. I'll give you some back context. I got COVID for the second the first I've got had COVID twice. The first time, lost taste smell, no biggie. I never got a shot, anything like that. Uh second time, I got the really bad brain fog and super bad headaches. That lasted for like a month. And then since then, I had like this terrible pain in my face, like nerve pain, burning. It felt like a searing pain, like in my temple. It would sometimes go down my jaw, sometimes like in the joint, in my ear, felt like there's a hot poking thing in my ear. Yikes. So this lasted or it still happens once in a while.

SPEAKER_08

Go ahead and tell them what it's nicknamed.

SPEAKER_07

Oh, yeah. Yeah. Because it if they they say the pain gets so bad that people rather kill themselves than have it. Anyways. So I was dealing, and that was another reason why I wanted to start working out or whatever, too, is because I needed to focus on something besides that. And so when I said I was in my low, like I was in pain all the time, I was super unhealthy. And so that's when I started running. So I needed to focus on something besides my face hurting all the time. So we tried like accu punch or dry kneeling on my face with with Jesse, and then and that felt great too. It it helped a little. But my mom is into like really holistic, is that how you say it? Kind of stuff.

SPEAKER_04

So she believes in ghosts?

SPEAKER_07

Yes.

SPEAKER_04

Yes.

SPEAKER_07

So she makes me this exactly what that means. She makes me this appointment with I don't even know what it is. Like a medium? No. I don't know.

SPEAKER_08

It has nothing to do with ghosts. No, it's medium to ghost might. It's like oils and like using different like natural ways to heal yourself.

SPEAKER_07

I forget. But okay, no. This isn't this isn't even holistic.

unknown

Okay.

SPEAKER_07

Because this late, it's like radio frequency stuff. She makes me this appointment with some lady in Vegas where they you know the salt and pepper black and white on TVs? She had me go to this place. This lady books appointments where people will come and relax in her front room of her house while this the salt and pepper, just the static, is on her TV, and you're supposed to sleep for like an hour in this room dark with the static, the radio frequency.

SPEAKER_05

I'm into little white noise. I would not do that.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah. So I'm like, okay, mom, I'll I'll try it, I guess. So I go after work to some lady's house. Oh yes, come in. And we walk in and she's like, Yeah, this is where you a lot of people say it's better to relax and sleep. Turns on the freaking static on the well, it's not it's not no noise, it's just the visual. Just the visual, like you're in the ring or some shit. Oh, nice. Yeah. So you're supposed to sit there, relax, close your eyes in a stranger's house. Darn.

SPEAKER_08

You're in the wrong generation for that type of therapy.

SPEAKER_07

Dude, it was it was freaking weird, dude. And and like that would be the most stressful situation.

SPEAKER_06

It was I thought I was gonna get raped. I thought I was gonna get raped.

SPEAKER_04

You know what happened last time I was in here alone in the dark in a stranger's house?

SPEAKER_02

Don't accept the water.

SPEAKER_08

Have you never seen Final Destination?

SPEAKER_07

Yeah, it was it was scary. All right. I I'm in this house, super nice house, beautiful house in Summerlin, but why? Why is this a thing?

SPEAKER_04

Okay, is it no napping?

SPEAKER_07

No, dude, just laying there like a board like that.

SPEAKER_08

No, I and the whole no, no, it did not. Did you notice any difference at all from it? No.

SPEAKER_07

Okay. It was, and I love you, mom, but what the hell? I mean, like she like I get the whole grounding thing where you've got too much technology to go put your feet on some grass or whatever. I get you get that. I guess I guess, yeah, like you take the the electric the electricity out of your body or some shit.

SPEAKER_05

Yeah, yeah.

SPEAKER_07

Okay. But like sitting in a stranger's house, like it's dark like that, and then the room, the the TV over there would just have salt and pepper, and you're just hoping that you don't get stabbed to death. It's the most stressful situation I've ever been in.

SPEAKER_04

I'm sorry to hear that.

SPEAKER_07

But you can't have any, you can't have your your phone or anything. It's supposed to like be outside the room.

SPEAKER_08

Like nothing to hold on to this, 911. I think William wants the contact information. Dude, okay.

SPEAKER_04

Dude.

SPEAKER_07

So that's the weirdest thing.

SPEAKER_04

Okay, that's the weirdest thing you ever. Now hold on. How's your face?

SPEAKER_07

It has its moment. It's a lot, it's a lot better. That's weird. But it's still I've never heard you talk about that.

SPEAKER_04

That's weird. Well, because thank you for sharing.

SPEAKER_07

Well, well, I'm sure my wife got pretty upset. Not upset, but annoyed with how much I would complain about it. Yeah. It's the worst pain. I would rather break my leg over and over again besides having oh, yeah. Yeah. So but yeah.

SPEAKER_04

Can you top that or match that with weird stuff that you've done just for Jeff C? Jeff? Jesse or Jeff? Jeff C. Jeff C.

SPEAKER_08

I don't really know.

SPEAKER_05

Like, that's that's pretty out there, man.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_05

All right.

SPEAKER_04

What's the weirdest thing you've done, Jeff?

SPEAKER_02

I would like to hear Jesse's first.

SPEAKER_04

Nothing weird?

SPEAKER_02

No. I'm not good at stories on the spot.

SPEAKER_04

Really?

SPEAKER_02

Do you have anything, Will? Yeah, Will.

SPEAKER_04

Weird?

SPEAKER_07

Weird. I'm totally normal.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_05

I could tell stories, but I'm not normal too. You're telling for me. Yeah. Thanks.

SPEAKER_08

This one time I took this dance class. We were talking about this last pod.

SPEAKER_07

Perfect.

SPEAKER_04

I'm gonna mute her. Which one's her? Which one is it?

SPEAKER_07

Speaking of, Nate Newbauer has sent me probably 20 dancing reels. He thinks who you thought it was the funniest thing.

SPEAKER_04

Oh, to go dance or whatever?

SPEAKER_07

No, because I said I'm gonna take dancing lessons. So now that's all you loser, you want to dance? What a Nate?

SPEAKER_08

Did you not show them your moves?

SPEAKER_04

I can teach you how to dance.

SPEAKER_08

Did you not Will dance? I'm taller than Megan.

SPEAKER_04

Jesse and I can teach you how to dance.

SPEAKER_08

We took dance class together.

unknown

I want to yes.

SPEAKER_04

Jazz together when I was like clogging?

SPEAKER_08

You were a clogger? Maybe. No, ten or twelve. Yeah. No, it wasn't clogged. Was it clogged?

SPEAKER_04

No, no, no. No, it was just jazz, yeah. I'm not a clogger. That was Dave Brandon. Yeah, cloggers.

SPEAKER_08

I didn't mean to interrupt you. Dance class. Oh, you're fine. I was joking. I really don't know. Oh, I was. Oh, that was the inside joke.

SPEAKER_02

That's payback for the cheerleading joke. Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, that's a little give.

SPEAKER_07

Alright, we'll move on from that time.

SPEAKER_08

There is a photo somewhere.

SPEAKER_04

There is. My dad's computer.

SPEAKER_08

You know where it is.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_07

Last question for me. From me. And just a general topic again. Is there any we'll do it? We haven't done an Ories annoyed lately. So what's something that annoys you? I have three things.

SPEAKER_01

Ories annoyed.

SPEAKER_06

I forgot we had that. That's nice, huh? Yeah, that's terrible. Sounds just like Santa. I forgot what I did.

SPEAKER_04

No, that's what I came to. Cry.

SPEAKER_07

It was AI. AI.

SPEAKER_04

It was early AI days. TikTok. Yeah. Alright. Sorry. Or is it annoyed? That was bad, huh?

SPEAKER_07

Alright. So as like so Loretta Linz is coming out. And every I'm sorry.

SPEAKER_08

Loretta Lynn?

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_08

You knew that is? Yeah. The singer? Yeah. Good job.

SPEAKER_04

She just had a good job. Beautiful ranch.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_08

So what are y'all thinking? What are you saying, like Loretta Linz? What do you mean?

SPEAKER_04

There's a motocross race there on the on her ranch.

SPEAKER_08

Oh, okay.

SPEAKER_07

Now I'm understanding. Prestigious amateur event. Okay. Where if you could win a title there, hopefully you could become a good pro.

SPEAKER_08

When is this happening?

SPEAKER_07

This week.

SPEAKER_08

Why aren't you going?

SPEAKER_07

You have to qualify.

SPEAKER_08

Why can't you guys qualify so I can go to her ranch?

SPEAKER_04

Your son can qualify. That's what that's the motivation that we need. The P dub might be hard. Jeff's gonna have to really make some mods on a P dub. We might get there on a Cobra, but yeah. Anyway, carry on. Carry on.

SPEAKER_07

So there's an app you have you can't watch it for free this year on YouTube. You have to download Flow Racing, which is you have to pay 40 bucks or something like that. Anyways, the whole uh the whole dirt bike community is freaking out over 40 bucks.

SPEAKER_04

Literally freaking out.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah, like why would I pay such money for this for that for a race? When it's $40 to watch, you spend all this other money just to get to the race. Also, like in the like dirt track racing world, that's like a regular just one race every weekend you have to pay if you want to watch. So relax, dirt bike people. It's 40 bucks, and plus it gets more than just dirt bikes on there. You get wrestling, college sports, you get freaking the dirt track stuff. So relax, people. It's $40.

SPEAKER_04

Dude, I thought you were going the other way with that and that you were mad that you had to pay. I was like, dude, seriously, I literally rolled my eyes over here looking at my phone. And then no, I agree. Like, guys, like you just expect them to go film all that and then put it out for free. Like really good quality, dude. That costs money.

SPEAKER_07

Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

Like all of it does. Like, what why do you who do you think's paying for that? Like, yeah. It's 40 bucks. Yes, you're not gonna have near as many people watching. Who cares? I don't know.

SPEAKER_07

The next one is when people use the quote or word, I'm overstimulated. Like, shut up. We all are relaxed or millennials. Yeah, don't make an excuse that you suck. I don't know. Just I'm overstimulated. I can't do that. What yes, you can be stronger. The next one might be a little controversial.

SPEAKER_08

Oh, good.

SPEAKER_07

And you can tell me to stop.

SPEAKER_08

I will.

SPEAKER_07

But like everyone wants to be special and everyone thinks they have autism. Like, not everyone's autism. No. I don't get that. Like, I don't look at my kid. He's give them a pass. He's got autism. No, he's normal. Just be a better parent. Anyway.

SPEAKER_04

Oh damn. For you to say that.

SPEAKER_06

I mean, look at me.

SPEAKER_08

I get where you're coming from because I feel like a lot of people are using it as an excuse for not good behavior. Yeah. Like they just try to use it as like, oh no. It just, you know, but you can't use it as a crutch to avoid like parenting. Well, so I get where you're coming from.

SPEAKER_02

Sorry, my son punched your kid in the face. He's autistic. Yeah, like which I don't know, man.

SPEAKER_00

That's not any better.

SPEAKER_07

So Elise works with special needs kids and kids who who really do have that kind of stuff. And so it's like she comes home every day, like, yeah, our kids are weird, but I'm glad they're, you know, healthy and everything. So don't use it as an excuse. Yeah.

SPEAKER_08

I mean, there's a difference. Yeah, for sure. And I feel like like I we talk at work, I'm like, I think all of us have a touch. We call it a touch of the tism, you know? Like, we all got a little something. We all are quirky, right? We all got our own little things. All right. We all got something. But that doesn't mean that like we're all uncapable, right? And we're all like need to just be like so like eggshells and like careful. And no. No. Like that's just not what that means. But I wonder how much hate I'm gonna get out. I feel like I mean, I get the way you two are saying things is making it sound worse than I know what you're and what you're meaning. Yeah, I I could take stuff to kind of yeah, you just are saying things a little more gruff than what you're meaning. Yeah. But I get what you're saying because it's not necessarily that. It's more so like, okay, like I said earlier, if you can be better, do better, then you should. Like if your child has behavioral issues, that's one thing. But if they have behavioral issues and you're able to help correct those issues, but you choose not to, that's a different situation. You know? Yep, yeah.

SPEAKER_07

So and this is no one specific, this is just the the internet.

SPEAKER_08

Yes.

SPEAKER_07

I I just want to clarify that.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah, well, and that's the other thing too, is I feel like one thing, kids are being exploited online all the time, and it's driving me nuts. Like all these like YouTube channels with these families and these kids getting put online and stuff, like these young kids, it's all they know is being online, and so they think that that's their life. Is someone's just gonna follow them around and give them all these things and do all these things for them and all this stuff, and like I know that like I don't think like the parents are trying to. I don't know. It just it just drives me crazy. I'm like, just let them be kids, let them make the choice of what they want to do with their life. You're like thrusting them into like Yeah, Hayden Deegan, Brian Deegan.

SPEAKER_07

Let Hayden make his own choices. But do you know what I mean? I don't know. Yes, I do.

SPEAKER_04

Yep. 100%.

SPEAKER_07

I don't and that's all I have for everything.

SPEAKER_04

Is there anything, Jeff, that's just bugging you in the world that just you just need to get off your chest? Not publicly.

SPEAKER_07

Okay.

SPEAKER_02

No, I'm you're too easy going, huh? Yeah, I'm too easy going. Yeah. I mean, there is things that bother me, but I I get through it.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

I come home and I see my beautiful wife, and nothing else matters. See my two beautiful kids. You know, my house. What none of it matters. But none of the other things matter, you know.

SPEAKER_01

Good safe.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah.

SPEAKER_07

Nice. Jesse, what pisses you off? Huh?

SPEAKER_04

There's gotta be something. Horotograph.

SPEAKER_08

There's this guy that keeps showing up at my house every day.

SPEAKER_07

Uh pissed me off. Well. Or annoys you. Just something little. Little. Like the internet.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah. You know what? Social media pisses me off.

SPEAKER_04

Why? Because forget all my news.

SPEAKER_08

I know. Well, I feel like I want to go back to just like Facebook days, like back in the day. Take me all the back to MySpace. You know, yeah, like well, I never had MySpace, so I don't know what that was like. I wasn't allowed.

SPEAKER_07

You never had the top ten friends?

SPEAKER_08

No, I wasn't allowed, Ori.

SPEAKER_04

Oh, really?

SPEAKER_08

No, I wasn't.

SPEAKER_04

I made one at my friend's house. Michael Lee. He made me one.

SPEAKER_08

That doesn't surprise me.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah. Well, yeah, I wasn't allowed to have one.

SPEAKER_02

But good parents. The scheduled pooper. Remember that, Michael Lee? Oh, yeah. In middle school. He had to leave at like one o'clock every time because he had to go poop.

SPEAKER_04

Yep, and if you wouldn't leave, he'd throw the fit. But he had a note. He had a doctor's note. Doctor's note.

SPEAKER_06

Was he pooping?

SPEAKER_02

I wonder if he's still doing that at work.

SPEAKER_04

It's one o'clock.

SPEAKER_08

Oh my god. I mean anyway.

SPEAKER_04

Carry on. Sorry, you were saying. Sorry to interrupt. It's one o'clock.

SPEAKER_03

I'll be right back.

SPEAKER_06

Give me about three minutes. I'll be back. That's with walking. Oh. With walking.

SPEAKER_01

Can't do it while it's watching.

SPEAKER_06

Travel time.

SPEAKER_08

Oh my neck. No, I think social media is awful because kids like people just don't know how to interact with people anymore.

SPEAKER_03

That's what we were talking about.

SPEAKER_08

And I hate it. Like, I don't like that it feels and it's I even do it too. I find myself just looking at my phone. I'm like, why am I even looking at my phone right now? Like, what is on here that I'm even looking at? Like, what is the point of this?

SPEAKER_02

You know what? It's actually made me extremely bitter towards today's or the younger generation. We've got a kid at work, he's like 21. And he'd I they call it stimming or whatever. Like the dance. Oh, yeah. Like he'll just we'll be talking, like face to face, standing talking, grown adults, and it'll just be like branded like yeah. And I told him it's like you need to work on not doing that.

SPEAKER_08

Yeah, they do. It's like the dances, like the TikTok dances.

SPEAKER_06

I've never seen that.

SPEAKER_08

Like, I feel like I do that.

SPEAKER_07

No, no.

SPEAKER_04

I don't know if I can comment on this, guys.

SPEAKER_07

Uh I'm that guy. Okay. Speaking of odd.

SPEAKER_08

Oh my gosh. Like, do you you say you stay stimming, right? It's a thing. Well, and it's become more, it's like a social media stimming thing. Okay.

SPEAKER_07

To be fair, when I was a little kid, I'd get a little excited. I'd do a little flappy stimmy.

SPEAKER_03

Oh my gosh.

SPEAKER_07

And yeah, I would get and then I get a little excited. I like do punchies. Yeah. Anyway.

SPEAKER_08

I mean, like when you have excited energy, that's different. But yeah, no, it's like things don't.

SPEAKER_04

You gotta go back and listen to whatever podcast it is that Ori talks about, how he thinks that he might have. He's in a different way.

SPEAKER_07

No, no, no, no, no, no. Have I talked about that publicly? I don't feel like I've talked about it oh, is that after one time? That's an after conversation.

SPEAKER_04

My bad, everybody. We'll uh talk about that after. He's like, shut it down.

SPEAKER_06

That's another field volume.

SPEAKER_04

All right, sorry about that. All right.

SPEAKER_06

I'll tell you that.

SPEAKER_04

He probably already has, but yeah. Oh my heck, probably. Nice. Well, anything else you could think of, real quick? We're we're 140 in. Did that feel like an hour 40?

SPEAKER_08

No.

SPEAKER_04

Not bad, huh?

SPEAKER_08

Not bad.

SPEAKER_07

Will nothing annoying you. Like, pull dig me out of this hole, dude. I've been digging myself in a whole last half hour. Oh no.

SPEAKER_04

I did have two two songs I wanted. I think these two would be it'd be fun to do it in here. Hold on. I got like I gotta look up the.

SPEAKER_07

Alright, so the game is like Casey Rawson would be great at this. Don't use his full name! My buddy Casey. My buddy that's not named Casey Aaron Rawson. He doesn't like it when I use his full name on here. Anyways.

SPEAKER_04

But we just doubled down and put that.

SPEAKER_07

Anyways, he's very good at the music stuff. He kicks our ass in that stupid game all the time.

SPEAKER_02

Every time. And it cheats because he uses the actual remote. Yeah.

SPEAKER_07

Even if he's not using the remote, he's still good at it. It's really annoying. Anyways, this game, he's going to read lyrics without singing them. And you have to get guessed. So I did an easy one for him last time. I said, you are my fire. There we go. Whoa. Just on that.

SPEAKER_04

So you are.

SPEAKER_02

I was going to say my sunshine.

SPEAKER_04

Oh, see, he's been putting the kids to bed right there. Okay, so I assume that you guys are gonna know this.

SPEAKER_02

Do we get a genre?

SPEAKER_08

Disney. Let's go.

SPEAKER_04

Oh, this isn't Disney.

SPEAKER_02

Not because I'm against Disney. I just I want a chance to win this.

SPEAKER_04

Oh, wow. He's deep. Okay, I should have been a little bit more. Last time I like said like when the song came out and like everything, but I don't know if I can unless there was like Paw Patrol songs, then I would be ruling that right now because that is ruling the books. What genre would you put that?

SPEAKER_08

Uh I don't know.

SPEAKER_04

Alternate. Alternate?

SPEAKER_08

I don't know. I like how when we don't know what it is, it's just alternate. You know what? That's alternate. I think that you'll get I I think you guys would get this.

SPEAKER_04

I think Ori could have got this if I wouldn't have showed him, but let's see. Alright, which line? Which line? Not chorus, right?

SPEAKER_07

Yeah, you can't do the chorus. Chorus is too easy.

SPEAKER_04

Okay.

SPEAKER_07

It's hard. It's really hard. At least for me, it's hard. But after the first time we did this, Casey texts me like, Really? You didn't know that song.

SPEAKER_04

Really?

SPEAKER_07

Did he bust your balls? K texted me like, really, dude?

SPEAKER_04

That's hilarious.

SPEAKER_07

Because it was Tears Don't Fall by Pull from my breath. Yeah, yeah, yeah. Pull from my Valentine. Yeah. William started saying, not singing, that song.

SPEAKER_04

Alright, forgetting all I'm lacking completely incomplete.

SPEAKER_01

Keep going.

SPEAKER_04

I'll take your invitation. You take all of me. Now it.

SPEAKER_08

I'm falling even more in love with you. That's it.

SPEAKER_04

She got it off of that. Okay, can we say? Do we got it?

SPEAKER_08

It's almost harder when you say it because I can't get the rhythm in my head. It's so hard to not sing it when I sing it. Like, hold on. Yeah. You like bug me out of a rhythm.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah. What's it called? I'm falling even more in love with you. Is that isn't that what it's called? That's that's the song. Nope.

SPEAKER_08

No, I actually don't know song names and artists very well at all. Yeah, it's hard, especially like this.

SPEAKER_02

I I definitely I know it. I just I can't think of it. Hangin' by a moment.

SPEAKER_08

Oh, Life House, right?

SPEAKER_04

Life House. Good job. I don't think I could have got that one.

SPEAKER_02

Does it ever say those lyrics in the song Hanging by a Moment?

SPEAKER_08

Hanging by a Moment with you.

SPEAKER_04

Oh yeah, at the end. It ends with it like three times in a row, bro.

SPEAKER_08

Hanging by a moment.

SPEAKER_04

That's right. Okay. All right. All right. Hold on. One more. I assume that Jeff would get this, but we'll see here in one second.

SPEAKER_07

Said Hanging by a Moment. Mine PTSD. Okay. Next.

SPEAKER_04

Oh shoot. What kind of what kind of music are you into, Jeff?

SPEAKER_02

I enjoy a lot of different music. Minus the new Luke Bryan song. And a lot of the new rap stuff. I can't handle it.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah.

SPEAKER_08

We like music from when we were in high school.

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah. Okay. Perfect. This is it. Let me see. Do I have a date, release date on this one? No, but yeah, we'll see. Alright, this is the second line. Okay. Drunk and I'm feeling down, and I just wanna be alone.

SPEAKER_08

Here's the issue. If you're doing a song that we may not even know the words to, but we just dance to it or we sing the chorus of it.

SPEAKER_04

I feel like this is one that Ori and Jeff would have sang in the truck.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, it's a big thing.

SPEAKER_07

Well, that's cheating then. It's like a rocky.

SPEAKER_04

Yep, it's definitely rock. Yep.

SPEAKER_02

Can I get it again?

SPEAKER_04

Yeah. You want I can so drunk, drunk, and I'm feeling down, and I just want to be alone. I'm pissed because you came around. Yep.

SPEAKER_07

No, but think a little offspring.

SPEAKER_04

No, but is it offspring? No. Why don't you just come home?

SPEAKER_02

Yes.

SPEAKER_04

Oh.

SPEAKER_07

I'm terrible at this kid. I tear my heart open.

SPEAKER_08

What creed? Not creed. Creed. I bend too much or something like that.

SPEAKER_07

Our scars remind us of. Papa Roach. There it is.

SPEAKER_04

Papa Roach. Scars. Scars. There it is. Whatever. I mean, you listen to that, right? Yeah. Yeah. I heard that random the other day, and I was like, oh, I gotta remember this, or this was a good one.

SPEAKER_07

I got one real quick.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah, do it.

SPEAKER_07

Baby, you know that I miss you. I wanna get with you. Tonight. It's hard not to sing it, dude. This is dirty. Tonight. It's a high school song. Okay. Tonight, but I cannot. Baby girl, and that's the issue. Oh.

SPEAKER_02

Derude Sandstorm.

SPEAKER_07

No.

SPEAKER_08

That's the issue. Oh my gosh, I can hear it.

SPEAKER_07

Baby, I know you like me. You're my future wifey. The next the next line would give it away.

SPEAKER_04

Hold on then. Don't give it away. Well, you can do it.

SPEAKER_07

Soldier boy. Soldier boy. Tell him yeah. You can be my Bonnie. I can be your Clyde.

SPEAKER_02

Does he make another song other than drink that?

SPEAKER_07

Text me through the phone. Oh. I'll see you later on. Okay. No? No? No. It was Sam and I's song.

SPEAKER_04

Oh. Yeah. Do you guys have a song? Like it was a love song?

SPEAKER_08

What?

SPEAKER_02

We have our wedding dance song.

SPEAKER_04

Is that still your love song?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_04

You remember it, right?

unknown

Yeah.

SPEAKER_06

He doesn't know. He doesn't even know.

SPEAKER_08

Then he picked it. Brad Paisley. Then originally we had a different song that we were going to use.

SPEAKER_02

Yeah, it's actually a super sad story.

SPEAKER_08

We were going to do it.

SPEAKER_02

Go ahead, we had a what was the song?

SPEAKER_08

I think it was Bullet for my Forever and Always.

SPEAKER_02

But well for my Valentine, but like an acoustic version. Yeah. And uh he had he agreed to, but then he he got some health issues and got super sick and he couldn't play guitar anymore.

SPEAKER_08

So then yeah.

SPEAKER_04

Dang. So that would have been sick. Would have been sick. Yeah.

SPEAKER_08

But yeah, then we chose then.

SPEAKER_04

Then. That was a good one. Nice. Yeah. So that would still be your song if you had one.

SPEAKER_08

He's sick? Know that. Anyways.

unknown

Yes.

SPEAKER_08

That'll be an after conversation.

SPEAKER_02

Have you not checked in on him recently? That's weird. Since high school.

SPEAKER_04

Yeah. Oh yeah. Nice. Alright. Well, that was a fun little way to end it. Saves you or got you that.

SPEAKER_07

Falling in more in love with you. Jeff Jesse. Do you have anything like that? Thank you. Yeah, thank you. Thank you for coming in.

SPEAKER_04

That was fun. I was nervous with Jesse because she's a talker. She can get a little, but you did really good.

SPEAKER_08

Thanks, William.

SPEAKER_04

You helped together.

SPEAKER_08

I'm gonna throw something at you. Thanks for listening to a good podcast. We'll see you next time. Peace.
