Chief Hughes recently asked the IACP President a question on social media and was blocked from further communication. Chief Hughes is a member of IACP and gives a balanced approach to how law enforcement leaders should use professional organizations within their departments.
The IACP has launched a campaign to assist law enforcement to "build trust" with the community. Chief Hughes discusses some issues with the idea that law enforcement lacks trust within communities when the overall trust rating is high compared to other professions.
