In this second episode of the special series, Pastor Willie shares one of his signature messages on the Power of Agreement, first with God and then with your spouse, household members, and other believers. Drawing on biblical truths, he speaks about standing strong in faith despite the heartaches of a stage 4 cancer diagnosis, citing "God is not a man, that he should lie; neither the son of man, that he should repent: hath he said, and shall he not do it? or hath he spoken, and shall he not make it good?" (Numbers 23:19). As Pastor Willie declares the Word of God, your spirit will be stirred and strengthened.

Be in agree.

SPEAKER_01

With God's word and then with each other.

SPEAKER_03

Thanks for gracing us with your ears today. You're listening to the Faith to Feel podcast. I'm your host, Dr. Januas. God has so much more for us to know, experience, and do if we have the faith to feel. Faith should give us courage to feel, to have difficult conversations about our feelings, and to face challenges we might otherwise avoid. That's what this podcast is all about. In the summer of 2023, I recorded a conversation with Pastor Willie Thomas in his home. We talked about having been living with the stage for cancer diagnosis for nearly a decade. He amazed his doctors with each day that God added to his life. This is part two of our conversation. In this episode, he shares some significant revelations about the power of agreement. I pray Pastor Willie's words will comfort his loved ones and reach people who never had the great pleasure of being in his presence or hearing him preach the word of God. As you listen to this episode, you will hear and feel the anointing of the Holy Spirit in his words and feel encouraged by the testimony of his faith. You're rich in spirit.

SPEAKER_01

What he does, right, is that he takes a simple thing to compound the why. And he took me. Lord, here I am.

SPEAKER_03

A walking miracle.

SPEAKER_01

A walking miracle. God loves us so much that he teaches us that his first principle in the Bible is the power of agreement. Because he says, Not let me make man and my image. He said, Let us make man and our own image. Then he went further. Remember, Adam and Eve did not have a mother, nor a father. But yet God said a man shall leave his mother and father and cleave to a wife, and they are to become one. In order for us to overcome the enemy, you have to be in agreement with God and with each other. Because Eve came in agreement with what Satan was saying. And then she gave to her husband and he ate of it. He came in agreement with her, though the Bible doesn't say he said anything. Why? Because he took of the fruit and ate of it. If he would have said he was complicit. Because he just said, Where did that come from? That's all he had to say. Because this does not come from any of the other trees that we've eaten from. But because he was complicit, he came in agreement. So God said, I'm gonna deal with this in the beginning, but I need to give them some more information. A man should cleave to a wife and they should become one. That's where the power is. You want to overcome the enemy out of your household?

SPEAKER_02

Be in agreement. Be in agreement.

SPEAKER_01

First with God, then with each other. Yeah, you want to see healing taking place in your life? Be in agreement with God's word and then with each other. Yeah, that's a good word. And watch God go to work. Yeah. Right? That's a good word. And remind him, this is what you said. Yeah.

SPEAKER_03

Right. God loves to be reminded of his word.

SPEAKER_01

He loves to be reminded of his word.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Right. If you're telling me through your word in Psalm 103, bless the Lord, oh my soul, and all that is within me, and forget none of his benefits, and who heals all my diseases, hello. Father. You teach us in the word to call you up a father because of the Holy Spirit. You teach us in the word. When the disciples asked Jesus how to pray, he said, our father, not my father, the power of agreement.

SPEAKER_03

Yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Our father that art in heaven. Holy be thy name. Yeah. Thy kingdom come. You told me this. And I believe it. So either you're a liar and your word is not true. Or everything that you said is true. Let the enemy be scattered and let God arise. Because God is not like man that he should lie. He ain't gonna lie to us. And he's gonna repent for what he's written. So, yeah, you can be mad at God, but make it for a moment. Don't make it for a lifetime. Because he understands when he came to Job in the 42nd chapter, he was talking to Job's friends. He said, You don't know anything about me, but my servant Job does. I want his friends to speak the truth. What's wrong with him? But yet God said to him, and this is such a blessing. He says, Look, I want you to take your sacrifice, take it to my servant Job, and he's gonna pray for you. The Bible didn't say, go and take your sacrifice and tell Job to pray for you. He says, Take your sacrifice to Job and he's gonna pray for you. And because Job did exactly what God said he was gonna do, he got blessed. And the most amazing thing was his blessings came from his relatives, the same people that were watching him as he was going through, the same people that were already there. Did God pour out a miracle from the sky? Or did he already have the miracle waiting for him?

SPEAKER_03

Thank God for his promises.

SPEAKER_01

God already has the miracle there, Erica. All we have to do is believe. Why did God have her go through it for 12 years? Because there was already an appointed time for her to reach out and touched the him of his garment. The woman that was bent over, a child of Abraham, for 18 years, waited for Jesus to speak the word, and she was healed. Jesus, I just read this in Mark 6 this morning, and it's all throughout the Gospels, where it says a prophet is without honor, except for in his own country, his own home, with his own relatives. How many times have we missed out on a blessing because of our unbelief?

SPEAKER_03

We didn't like who was we didn't like the vessel through which it was given.

SPEAKER_02

What it was.

SPEAKER_01

But yet he kept going in the basket and breaking the bread and giving them the fish to eat. The miracle is for us to allow him to do it. Allow him to break the bread and distribute it the way that he's gonna perform the miracle. Not us. Go and read the story.

SPEAKER_03

We gotta bring our baskets.

SPEAKER_01

We gotta bring our baskets.

SPEAKER_03

And we gotta believe.

SPEAKER_01

And we gotta believe, right? And we gotta declare it. And we have to declare it. Stand on his word. And stand on his word. At the end of that, and this is missing a miracle to me. There were 12 baskets of food left over that was already broken. So when the disciples were picking up the food to put in the basket, the food that they picked up did not come from Jesus', it was already broken. So our testimony is to speak to people that are already broken. Stop looking for the miracle. The miracle has already been produced and performed. But will you pick up the broken piece and feed them? Amen. We're looking for the miracle instead of looking at the broken pieces. Jesus Himself is the miracle. You and I are just a broken piece.

SPEAKER_03

I'm really glad, Pastor Willie, that despite your diagnosis, despite your health conditions, you're still picking up the pieces and you're still you're still handing out the bread.

SPEAKER_01

That's that's all I can do.

SPEAKER_03

Well, you're still working, you're still on assignment.

SPEAKER_01

I'm still on assignment, right? I I learned an interesting word as and reading about Moses there uh when he God told him that he wasn't gonna go. And the word that the Lord allowed me to see that blew my mind was not assignment, but mission. Good word, because Moses had completed his mission. So we go and look up the definition of mission, it means going out, but a mission means that you're going the south, and a mission is continued, whereas an assignment has an end. The mission you have uh maybe a clearer purpose, you have a clearer purpose, yeah, right? So when we look at it, God has assigned each of us a mission, and so instead of us looking at trying to get our individual purpose fulfilled, how about fulfilling the mission that God has given us? Amen. You know, spread the good news, let our testimony help them because now we're looking for an assignment. How about just we already have one? We already have one. God, thank you for the mission that you're there before us, it's already put there before us, yes, Lord. Give me the strength because your word says the joy of the Lord is my strength. Yeah, your word says that you are of ever-present help in my time of need. I need you, Lord, to fulfill the mission that you have given.

SPEAKER_03

Amen. Lord, help us help us to fulfill the mission that you've given us.

SPEAKER_01

Everyone hosts the scripture for this year, uh, was talking about Isaiah 43. God is doing a new thing. But my prayer was, I ain't prayed this for Pastor Rudy. Because God says to Isaiah, or to Zerubal, He says, Can't you see it? I'm doing a new thing in the earth, can't you see? Well, my prayer was, Lord, open up our eyes so that we can see the new thing that you're doing that we can be a part of. Yes, amen. Everyone we look at the word of God, and in the book of Hebrews, it says that we've all been given a measure of faith. That's every one of us we've been given a measure of faith. But then when we go to chapter 11, in the word it says now faith is the substance of things hopeful, the evidence of things not seen, and the evidence of things not seen. Yeah, so he's saying to us is that now let that measure of faith that I've given you go to work, right? Let it go to work in you, yes. Because you can't have hope in something that you see. Heal me, Lord. There's a side of me that I've just come to accept. Healing is a process, it's a journey.

SPEAKER_03

I pray Pastor Willie's testimony inspires you to hold tight to the faith you profess and to have the word of God written on your heart. Twelve years after being told he had stage four cancer of his spinal column, Pastor Willie received his complete healing when he transitioned to be with our Father in heaven on November 11, 2024. Like the woman with the issue of blood, he waited 12 long years for his healing. God said yes when he prayed for more time with his loved ones on this side of glory. Help me honor Pastor Willie's desire to share the word of God by sharing this episode with someone who'll be blessed to hear it. Thanks for listening to the Faith to Feel podcast.
