Await & Arise: For the Love of Money

This week I want to talk about money.  You know money isn’t bad, but scripture says the love of it is the root of many evils.  
We are reminded that we can’t have a two track love.  If we love money we will hate God, but if we love God we will hate money.  The point is that God is the one who gives us all we need, money included.  

Our family has walked through times of want and times of plenty and I have spent a good amount of time worrying over money and whether there will be enough.  It has never done me a bit of good.  But what has done me good is giving it over to God.  

When I place my eyes on him and I trust his provision and seek his will for all that he has given me in my life I sure worry a lot less and I am blessed.  

God wants our hearts to focus on him so that his name is glorified in all we have and all we do.  He wants that so that we won’t waste our lives hustling and striving but instead living in peace and contentment in him.
