Sailing Anarchy Podcast #58. Transpac on Ragtime

Scot Tempesta

There we go. Uhhuh, I should be sick and tired of this, this jaunt, this, this canned music I play pretending that I'm on the radio, but I actually like it. It's positive and bouncy makes me feel good about myself and the world and my place in it. It will do that for you too. See? Feeling it. All right. All right. Hey, this is Scott Temp Pesta. This is the Sailing Anarchy podcast. I wanna say number 58. Let's see. Yes, 58. So there you go. I don't how many more. Who knows. I'm just gonna keep'em rolling. Um, just, uh, by the way, just a little bit of housekeeping before I get into our guest who is just. One of my favorite guys and all time. Good dude, great Sailor, SoCal legend. Um, Keith Kilpatrick is going to join us in a few minutes, but good news. I think it's good news. Uh, I'm gonna start doing the, uh, retro boat videos again, so, uh, yeah. Thank you. You're welcome. Of course, I, I wouldn't say there's actually an outcry. I, I'd say there's a little cry for them. Um, but people. That like them still remember and like, yeah dude, get that started again. I love those things. So. You know, I'm gonna get those going. They won't be nearly as trick and as slick and as nicely produced as the other ones were. But I'm really, who am I, I'm not deserving of that level of production quality anyway. I'm, you know, these are gonna be dirt bag videos and, um, with me shooting them and, uh, fortunate enough to have a, uh, a long time. Friend who is a retired video editor and he's gonna help me learn how to edit or he said, even better yet, just, I'll just send me the file and I'll edit it. And I'm like, yeah, that sounds good to me. I'll do the shooting and the yapping and, uh, I'll let him do the, the editing. So I'm hoping, hoping, hoping, hoping by the end of it is July. By the end of July this month, I'll, uh, I'll be doing my first video. So, so there you go. Um, what, you're not, not that interested really. Yeah. Okay. All right. Um, let's get to it. You know, out here in the West coast in SoCal got this thing that happens. It's a race to Hawaii, uh, every other year for Transpac, and then the race to Hawaii from Frisco is in the opposite year of that. So basically there's a race to Hawaii, like every three months out here in, uh, in California. Um, and Transpac is. Is and has already started. And, um, there's one boat in this. There's some pretty good boats in this fleet, like always. I mean there's, you know, I wouldn't call it the hugest fleet, but I'd call it a competitive fleet and maybe the. Yeah, I don't think maybe the most famous boat in the race and a, a boat that's done it a bunch of times before. It's a, so it's a, it's a New Zealand slash SoCal legend. The boat is of course ragtime if you didn't know that. And joining me now is Keith Kilpatrick, who is going to be on board Ragtime. Hey buddy. Hey there. How's it going Scott? Good. How are you Keith? I'm doing good. Yeah, so just thinking, uh, doing the final prep stuff. And there's, there's a lot of stuff, right? There's always, it's a never ending amount of stuff, right? Yeah. The thing that, the thing that worries me is that. Is complacency. Like, uh, I feel so relaxed going into this race and it seems like each one I've done in the last, you know, six or seven of'em, they're like, you know, I'm not, I'm not working till 10 o'clock at night every night. I go home in a normal hour if I probably have most of Friday off to, to kind of just chill. It's funny. I worry that I've forgetting something, but we don't, don't seem to, so I guess that's just what you, you know, of doing it a bunch of times gets, gets you. Well that, and I mean, the boat has been redone and I wanna talk to you about that in a minute. And I suspect that, you know, Mo like the systems and the, and the various things, electronics on the boat, I'm assuming those are all, you know, pretty nice and new and don't need a lot of attention and so that probably is a help. Or am I totally wrong on that? You have, you had to do that? No, no. This boat, the Tina, uh, she, she spared no expense. The boat is absolutely, it's Bristol inside and out, and. Everything that needed to be done to make this boat up to date and modern has been done. So it's, um, basically was taken down a bare bones and, and, uh, refit everywhere in the picture. It really nice in the pictures. It looks stunning. I mean, you know, I, I've zoom in on the pictures like, well, it can't be that perfect, and I keep looking and zooming. I'm like, oh, yeah, it, it really does look that perfect. It really is like, it's very impressive. We, I did the sco, I think three trans packs a ago, and that boat was also Bristol condition. Uh, you kind of, you know, you kind of feel bad if you drop a wind channel or something, but Right. I mean, and even the interior, I mean, it's, it, the boat's teeny, it's not a very big 68 foot boat. Yeah. And, uh, very low to the water, but the middle of the boat, I, you know, I stand up straight in very, you know, very comfortable there. So. Yeah, it's gonna be an interesting ride for sure. So honored to be on the boat. Yes, I, it is an honor for sure. Um, so what did, what has been done to the boat? I mean, the boat's been through a number of refits and I, I could be wrong, but I think it started off life at 62 feet and now it's 68. 62 or three, I think. Yeah. And then there, there's like a, a five foot scoop on the back of the boat. Right. Which looks real. It looks really integrated now. It just, the whole thing flows. What, what, what was done to the boat in this refit? You know, I'm pretty new to this, so I, I don't wanna be quoted on stuff, but I think the biggest deal was there was quite a bit of carbon structure put in the boat, and then the, and the interior, I mean, the exterior of all was taken off of all the plywood and, and it's been, there's carbon skins on the outside of that now too. Oh, wow. So, structurally so we're not, we're not worried about the boat. Not that we ever were worried, but she just, you know, that she took the opportunity to make sure the boat was perfect. So, and you know, there's a, so there's a bit of, a bit of structure has been added, but not to the, not to the, uh, detriment of making the boat heavy. It's still quite light, which is good. I think we're like one of the lightest of all this, uh, you know, boats our size. Oh, I, I'm for sure. Did they, did you guys put a new rig in it too? Yeah, so, but that was, so it's been a bit of a piecemeal project. I think the keel that's on the boat now was done by Alan Andrews quite a while ago. I can't remember if that even, that might be the keel that went to Tahiti on the boat when they did the Tahiti race in, in oh eight. Uh, and then this is a, this is a newer Transpac 52 rig in the boat. Okay. So it's kind of odd in that, you know. You don't realize like sweat back spreader rigs are kind of meant for fast boats. That main sheets don't go out very far. Right. And uh, yeah, I mean we're a, we're a flat running boat, you know, we wanna run deep 1 55 1, you know, in that area when we can. It's kind of funny with the main pressed all out against the spreader so hard. I, you know, I worry a little bit or I worried a little bit that maybe we would twist the rig and harmed it, but we came down that, that coastal cup or whatever, the Spinnaker Cup, whatever one it was from Monterey to Santa Barbara. And we, you know, we did everything we could to try to destroy the boat and we couldn't destroy it. So we quite a bit more confidence now. You know, I saw it's got a, it's got a fat head vein on it now, right? Yeah, it look, yeah, I'm not sure. It looks good. I'm not sure it does. It looks good. I'm not sure that we'll do a study with, with Greg Stewart after the race and look at what, you know, if, if, if it's worth what we're paying for because I'm, I'm, I imagine it's fairly expensive rating wise. I don't, I don't, you know, maybe in the 14 if we're, if it we get a lighter race, like 14, 15, 16 knots, that thing might be money and it might, it just might be a joke that we have it. So who knows? It's probably horses for courses. If it's a windy year, obviously we're paying for something that Yeah, you don't, we don't need. Right. You don't want, um, yeah. And then Exactly. In terms of spin sizes, what, where are they, what have you guys done there? I mean, the rig is obviously, it's obviously taller than the old one, right? Uh, it's actually the areas of, from what I've been told, are very similar in sail area. Hmm. Okay. So, yeah, we haven't overpowered the boat by any means. You know, I, we haven't, there's nothing radical about, you know, in fact, someone was telling me, uh, that our spinnaker are smaller than the, it's okay that, that 52, so, okay. She doesn't need, she doesn't need the horsepower. Doesn't seem like so. We've got a really nice masted, you know, J zero, and we got the, we've got the outriggers and all that stuff to help her reach better.'cause what, what we need to do is try to hang on the first couple days because, because you're short. You're short, right? Yeah, yeah, exactly. And you guys are in, I mean, you guys, I took a look at your class. Do you guys start Friday? Mm. Saturday. Saturday. Okay. You guys have a nice class. I mean, it's virtually sled land your class, right? Yeah. And, and then you guys Yeah, we do. And we we're the, we're the little boat, which I, in a race like this, I kind of, I don't mind being the little boat'cause there's not really any parking, you know, you don't, there's not parking lots to get through. And transpac. It's, it's the only weird, only, you know, the big jump that a faster boat can get on you is to get out to that synoptic breeze and, uh, like. You know, that could be the one jumpstart those guys get, but um, yeah, we just gotta hang on basically. Um, and not get tricky. I mean, we, the Iwt owes us like six hours-ish depending on the length of the race. Right. You know, that's at the end of that race. That's 65, 70 miles no problem. So, right. Mean, that's, that's a lot of, that's a lot of miles. Unless, who knows, maybe we get out. I, I have such, I have really no expectations just yet.'cause I have no way to have them, but. You know, if they, they get out there and they're starting to put, you know, they're two knots faster, then obviously, you know, we cleat the sheets off and have a nice time. But, uh, well, I mean, yeah, listen, so there may not be, uh, light spots to run into, but there'll be, uh, garbage patches to, into, so that, yeah, that's always comforting. Um, so this race is, this race is quite, it's not straightforward yet.'cause the models are really. They're diametrically opposed. They're coming a little bit closer, but they're still quite different. Really? So what are you guys forecasting for Breeze? Well, there's, you gotta get outta here for one thing.'cause the, um. That Eddie kind of wants to come back to you at on Saturday night. Like, if you don't get far enough out, you're gonna get sucked back up by that Eddie again. Ooh. And then you'll have to, you'll sit all night long until the, the breeze fills in again. I mean, that's one possibility. Uh, one co one of the models, I think the GFS has quite a, a little light spot in the, at the lobe of the, of the ridge or the high. And that can be tricky to get through. To the point where some models show it, like it's a, basically it's a hole. It's a whole little high and you gotta decide, try to get above it or below it. Oh, good lord. So, yeah. And then the one model has this tropical storm that's gonna be, you know, is forming now, getting quite strong, like it looks like a hurricane. And then another model just barely has it being any kind of a disturbance whatsoever. So we'll see. We'll see what happens. It, it sounds like it could be fairly unsettled. Um, yes. You know, it's interesting. I'm looking at the, I'm looking right now at the tracker. The boats that started yesterday, they've had breeze. I mean, they're all cruising along at seven, eight knots. You know, these, these, I mean, that's really good for those guys. I mean, they had an ice escape. Yeah, they, they really did. They did. And you guys will be fortunate to get such a thing, but, um. But, and so in terms of reaching, I mean obviously, you know, you, you can't simplify this race, but you kind of can in that, you know, it's X amount of, you know, jib reaching for a while or whatever sort of head sale combination that, you know, people are running these days. Pretty complicated, pretty tricked. Do you guys have, do you guys have a setup to really, you know, sort of enhance your reaching capabilities? Yeah, we do. I mean, obviously we're not as, uh. We're not as, uh, refined at it yet.'cause we're, it's, you know, we're so new to the boat. But, um, you know, we've, they've, we've got some, we've got a nice wardrobe between,'cause uh, Stu, the guys at Doyle Sales in New Zealand did, you know, did a study and, and built a bunch of sales for us. And, um, they all seem pretty nice. And we just got a, we got some, one more brand new, uh, kite, north Kite, uh, just last week just to kind of fill in a gap that we, we saw and, uh. I think we've got the boat pretty well optimized. I mean, obviously there's always you, there's always more you could do. But as a, as a starting point, I think I feel pretty confident about our, our rig setups. Uh, it's, it'll be interesting. I mean, rarely see, I mean, there has been times when the, when the race, it blows pretty good, but. I think, I hope that it blows because I would love to see what you guys can do, you know, when, when you're able to sort of square back a little bit, as you mentioned. Yeah. And, uh, and that boat starts to take off despite its shorter length. I mean, it's a much lighter boat and it, it, it surfs really well. And I mean, that'll be really fascinating to see how you guys stack up with the, with the regular 70 foot sleds. Yeah. Like I said, our, our polars have a. Same speed as the GI and, and then we've obviously gone out and sail those polars. So if you, you know, I don't like to get overconfident or even read too much into that stuff, but, you know, I gotta believe my buddy Ernie, he, that's what he's good at. And he said, you know, I'm, the numbers we're seeing are good. I mean, this is, this is very doable for us. So. Yeah, uh, that's it. But you heard of people, Keith Kilpatrick just predicted a win on Transpac. I mean, that's, boy, a win for somebody's gonna win. You're right. I predict someone will win. So, so when it's light, and I know maybe you don't know because you haven't really done it too much yet, but when it's light, you know, just like, I don't know, you know, the six, eight, not shit. I mean, are you guys, are you guys at a disadvantage or are you guys able to sort of boogie along in that stuff? I don't think so. We're pretty wicked up. Hmm. We don't have any trouble with that at all. That's great. From what, from what I've seen. You know, we did a light air beat, uh, out leaving Monterey to go out to the, that one sea buoy, and we were up against the, the meanie, which is, uh, you know, tp it's a, it's a 52 for offshore. Yeah. And, uh. You know, we were able to hang right with them. Really? Yeah, I'm sure it was, it was, uh, disheartening for your buddy Thorpe, but you know, it was pretty, we were pretty happy. So I'll say now what you guys were going up wind? Yeah. In about seven, like six to nine. And we had our, we had our J zero up and they just had their regular jib up and they, you know. If anytime they, you know, that boat's gonna walk away for us, I would've thought it would've been then. Yeah. That's pretty, um, that's pretty reassuring. Yeah. That's bitching. So go ahead. No, I You go ahead. So do you have a, I'm assuming you have a pretty nice crew. I haven't really looked, but we have, we have a, we have a really good group of people, um, but you know, no, uh, no headliners. We've got, um. Will who I love Sail with. And you, you must be familiar with him of course, because he's a San Diego guy of, of course. And then another guy that's a regular with us on Apel Grosso, um, Dustin Durant. Sure. And myself and Ernie. And then we've got, um, bill Menninger, another SoCal legend. Yeah. Yes. Yeah. Yes, yes. Yeah. And, uh, you know, cool, cool. Calm and collect. And then we've got two gals, um, Sophie Cizik, who just was on the mop pre on the last Volvo. She's awesome. And then Katie Pettibone, who's been around the world a couple times, and then our owner Tina. Oh dude, that's great. I mean, was there, was there a considered effort, uh, by, by the owner to, you know, get a couple top female sailors on the boat? I think I wasn't here for all for that. I'm not even technically not even supposed to be here, but, uh. Anyway, that's a whole nother story. But, so I didn't have my, I didn't have much of a say in the, in the picking of the crew. I, you know, ipo, I speak with Ernie. We're really good friends all the time. And I, I think there was a little bit of an effort made towards having gals on the boat. And, you know, I'm a hundred, I've sailed with gals on the boat before. I'm a hundred percent for it. So, um, yeah, I, I, I think it's awesome. Um, what, tell, tell me about the owner. Well, I mean. It's, I don't, I mean, I've, I've just, I'm just trying to get to know her. She's a really neat lady, very outgoing, uh, very successful it seems like in everything she tries to do, or everything she does do, uh, successful in her own right. And, um, this, so this boat was her husband's boat, uh, guy by name. Chris. Wes. Chris. Wes. Chris. Right. And he passed away. Yeah. And then the boat was sitting and I don't know what wild hair she got or how it all started really, but she just decided I'm gonna, you know, I'm gonna, in his memory, I'm gonna refurbish this boat and. And, and we're gonna take it to Hawaii and, and campaign this boat. And so she hired Jimmy Slaughter and the boat went to Densho and was there for, I, I gotta think it was like, almost two years on and off. I mean, you know, it wasn't solid work for two years, but the boat was, you know, down and getting worked on. Um, yeah. And she's, uh, she's hung in there all the way with this. And, uh, it's, it's pretty cool. She's very, very excited about. Um, the whole thing about sailing. This is not, this isn't a one and done for her, you know, and you, I. You know, I've spoken with her and she's not, I, she's not blowing smoke. She's really likes this, so it's awesome. I love to, it's, it's really fun to go sail with enthusiastic people that this is, you know, first time for them and they're just, she just, and she's gonna do all the cooking, which is nice. One less thing. Yeah, no kidding. Um, yeah, I mean, you can't replace enthusiasm, you know, and just, no. And, and then if you just look at the, you know, sort of the whole backstory of the boat, the history of the boat, and then the fact that, you know, she's enthused about, you know, making the legacy as good as it can be in terms of, you know, what the boat now is and yeah, get some good people on the boat and hopefully you guys have a great race. I mean, obviously there's a lot of people pulling for you guys. Um, um, and in terms of like. The top boats in your class, I'm assuming that Well, I'm, it's a dumbest, I'm not gonna make any assumption, which is the rated fastest boat in your, in your class. I, the merlin's the fastest by quite a bit. And then I think that the, I think the bolt and the pi wh are very close and then the GI gets a little bit of time from them. It's pretty, pretty close between everybody except for the Merlin. I mean, I, like I said, I think the pie w gives us six hours and I mean, and they're definitely the vote to beat, of course. I mean, those guys leave, they leave no stone unturned. No. You know, of course. Best crew our, like I was telling Ernie. Our best sailors on our best helmen are not as good as their worst helmen, you know? So I know, and he's like, don't sell yourself short. I'm like, I'm not, I'm just being totally, you know, it Got it. Got Torbin Grail. I mean, that guy's just, he's phenomenal, you know, and, and Benny Mitchell and Isler and you know, and some other guys, I don't know. But yes, it's always top flight. It's a top flight program. There's no money. Uh, spared. And, you know, it's, it's good for them. I mean, listen, if yeah, if I had it, I'd do the same goddamn thing. Um, well it's, it's a little funny for me'cause I'm actually racing against my boss. That's right.'cause you work for the PY Whack program. Yeah. Yeah. I work for the Disneys and I said if I'm staying on with, for the rest of the season with the 70, I'm doing transpac. And if you say no, then I'm not staying on. So I'm going anyway. Good. And you're staying on so. Yeah, for a little bit longer. Okay. I mean, the boats that boat's wrapped up in and going up for sale, so they worked out quite well. That's the, that's LAC at 70, right? Yeah. Yeah. The Volvo 70. Okay. Yeah. Um, and so will you guys though be looking, I mean, really isn't this, I wouldn't call it a grudge match, but isn't, don't you think Merlin and Ragtime are sort of like suited for battle? You know, they're both old school, you know, they've gone head to head before. Um, I, I like that the battle of the classics, although they're really nice and updated, both boats, right. They're just so much faster than us on paper though. It's like 12 hours or something. Really? So we really shouldn't, yeah, we really shouldn't see that much of them. I mean, if, if we are, obviously we're doing, if we're staying in, in, uh, contact with them, we're, we're gonna be doing really well. Um, you know, I don't know why I, I don't get into these rating stuff. Um. I would just go nuts. But obviously they, there's something they don't, that they've done to the boat that doesn't do well under the, under, you know, whatever ORR we're sailing under it's in. So, dude, we got in San Diego, I, for some reason it's ORC, Uber All list down here and. You know, they ditched PHRF, which at first I thought was the greatest thing in the world. But then when I realized how shitty my hoey 33 rates in ORC, I'm like, let's bring back PHRF, goddammit. But, uh, I don't, I don't pretend to know the numbers. I mean, I had, I had, uh, Greg Stewart run a little analysis. Yeah. And you know, he sends back everything. I'm like, uh, can you tell me what this means exactly? Shit. Um, but uh, yeah, well listen, I mean, I think I'm hoping to God that you guys get good running conditions because that's gotta be where you'll shine. And I would, yeah. I can't imagine Merlin being that much faster. Than you guys in that stuff. I mean, they're longer for sure, but that's the beauty of this thing, right? As Chris Berman from ESPN used to say, when they're talking about, oh, who's gonna win? Who's gonna do that? And he would say, that's why they play the game, you know? And Exactly. And, you know, we don't know what's gonna happen here. That's why you guys are all, if we knew, well, you know, why go, I mean, obviously the odds are the, the, the smart bet would be pi whack. I mean, you'd be a fool to bet against them, but yeah. You yo, use a dark horse, man. You gotta be getting some good odds, I would think. Yeah. That, that little, she's like a little toothpick out there in the ocean. You're not much. Oh, that's awesome. Well, listen, dude, I know you're busy getting the boat together. Um, uh, thanks for your time. I, it's just awesome to hear about this boat. Pleasure. How you guys are doing this, and, uh, I'll, oh, and you are going to be sending us updates, are you not? Yes, yes, yes. We'll, and are I cleared that with Tina? And, uh, you know, this boat, if you want to start out your, your, uh. Boats thing with a bang this boat when in August will be available. Oh. And she, she has no problem promo. She, she likes to promote this boat. She's very, she's very proud of the boat. She's very proud of what she's done. She, there's a big social media presence for the boat and, uh, she loves all that stuff. Oh, she's not shy. Excellent. Excellent. So yeah, we could do a retro vote, uh, video on Ragtime. Talk about No problem. Talk about. Perfect. That's great. Alright buddy, listen, we'll be in touch and, and thanks my friend. I appreciate you. Okay, yeah. I'll talk to you soon. You betcha. Thanks very much. Bye-bye. Yeah, bye. Keith Kilpatrick, everybody. Um, he mentioned a guy named Ernie. It's Ernie Rau, um, another Southern California local I. And, um, uh, I love the fact that they've got a couple of really good female sailors on the boat. Um, you know, paired with some good male sailors and, you know, not a lot of ego on that boat. I mean, Keith is one of the nicest guys to sail with. Very pleasant, great sailor. Done it all. Um, you know, been on boats that have won so much stuff. I re, my first encounter with Keith was back when the Santa Cruz 50 twos were brand new. And, um, when I was still selling sales for sobs dad by the seashore, um, I got a, uh, a guy named Jeff Chandler from the Chandler LA Times family. He bought one and we put a tall carbon rig on it. And this was at the same time that, uh, uh. A couple or three, uh, Andrew's 50 sixes were made and you know, they were better boats than the Santa Cruz 52. I mean, they just wore, we were not far off. I had some good folks and we were good, but you know, it was like a. It was the Newport Beach crowd, you know, and they didn't have much interest in Tempesta and his posse in San Diego. You know, I think they generally looked down on us, you know, and like, you know, like, fuck you guys. And uh, I remember we beat'em boat for boat. I think it was Port Varda. Um, even though we owed'em some time, we ground him down and passed them at the end. And, uh, the only guy, and I didn't even know Keith back then, the only guy to come up and go. Dude, nice job was Keith Kilpatrick. And, um, you know, I always appreciated that because he's just a dude, right? He's just a dude. And, uh, everybody knows Keith loves Keith. And, you know, sentimentally, you've got to be pulling for Ragtime. Uh, and if, and if you're not, um, you know, hell with you. So transpac again, like I said, the, the, uh, the first class that started yesterday and my buddy Eric Heim is on the Cal 40. Called restless, and as of right now, they are first in ORR, first in division nine. So, and they're cruising along at 7.8 knots and Yeah. Um, so it'll be interesting, you know, typically in a, I wouldn't say typically, but very often when you have these staggered starts over multiple days, which, you know, okay. I think they could probably shorten up the, the distance between the starts, but whatever. Very often these smaller, you know, slower boats just get screwed at the start, you know, there's no wind and they're flopping around off Catalina and it's just awful. Um, and so it's nice to see these guys get off with some push and, uh, you know, I don't know what the weather's looking like ahead of them, but if they're able to carry this, you know, through maybe a couple transitions and, uh. You know, start to start to get kites up perhaps. Um, uh, you know, there's a good chance that one of these boats, like restless, the Cal 40 could win this thing overall. I mean, it's too early to make any call like that, but if you're just looking at like signs of how things might go, it's, this is a pretty strong indication. This might be good for the, uh, for these smaller boats, if you will. So, yeah, Transpac fun. Um. And, uh, you know, I'll be following it, of course, and I think we'll probably try to do another podcast on Transpac. Um, maybe from the water. It's very possible, so we'll, we'll have to see how that goes. Hey, before I run outta here, let's talk about Tajima Direct. You know who these guys are. They make the best lenses. On the planet. You like polarized lenses? Yes you do. Everybody uses them. They make the best. I know they made a, a, a pair. Actually I'm, you know what? I'm due for a set. I think I'll hit these guys up and see if I can get a sailing anarchy discount. Um, they'll custom make them to any frame. You can pick a frame that they have and you can use that. If you have prescription, they can do that too. Um, really good guys. The Rosenberg family, I mean father, son team too. Just really good people. Um, and so, and these things are made for sailing. I mean, they're not just your off the shelf Oakleys. Um, it's funny calling them off the shelf, but you kind of have been relegated to off the shelf, especially when a company like Tajima Direct makes the custom stuff that they do and they can make them for you and your needs and your i's needs. That's the best part. Find out more. Go to jima direct.com. It's been what's working for me and if it works for me, well then, you know. It's gonna work for anybody. Hey, listen, thank you for listening. Thanks to my guests, Keith Kilpatrick. That was fun. Geez, I didn't know how little he knew about the boat. Um. But it's, you know, it's a new program and, uh, so they're kind of learning as they go, which I think is so cool. Um, and you know, when you have good people on board, yeah. You learn stuff pretty quick. Alrighty, I'm outie for Sailing Anarchy. I'm Scott Tam Pesta. See ya.
