October 27, 2024 Ephesians: Church work and prayer

Ephesians is a book that highlights one of the most important distinctions in all of the Bible and breaks neatly into 2 distinct portions. In the first portion, chapters 1-3 discuss the first key section. This division has been described as the "indicative/imperative" or the "belief/behavior" distinction. This means that for Christians--the first part of Ephesians tells us who we are in Christ and the second part tells how we must respond to our new life in Christ! This morning, we looked at the final section from 6:21-24.

 We made three points from this text dealing with the reality of prayer in spiritual warfare. The three  points were: Christian ministry is team based,  Christian prayer is focused, and Christians are the redeemed and assembled people of God.
