SPEAKER_03

And a whole lot more is the buckle up those seatbelts and don't touch that dial. Because remember, today is gonna be a great day. Let's kick it off with some announcements. Elementary chapel today, third grade, you're the ones opening. That's always exciting. So, parents, if you got a third grader, this is you're always invited, and all the parents are always invited. You're specially invited. Chapel days and extra special invited when your kids are opening. Middle school chapel's at 8 20, and then high school chapel is at 1.10. And then don't forget, no school on Friday for students. It's a teacher training day for the teachers. But now it's time for the Dyson section of the show. We've got weather with Rick.

SPEAKER_02

Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, weather today, high 62, low at 36, mostly cloudy. You must all and I do crunches twice a day. Really? Yeah, Captain in the morning and Nestle at night.

SPEAKER_03

Oh man. Alright, now it's time for the most educational part of the show we have.

SPEAKER_04

Weird science and facts. Earth's core is as hot as the surface of the sun.

SPEAKER_03

Whoa, that's hot. It's hot down there. You ever seen a volcano erupt? I went to uh a volcano in Costa Rica one time. And then there are these uh springs or rivers that come out of the ground at the bottom of the volcano, and they're like hot. Like hot as like a hot bathtub. But they look just like the rivers around here. It's pretty fascinating. People that are gonna be feeling warm inside, maybe not as hot as the sun, but they're gonna be feeling extra special and warm because it's their birthday, Reagan's balding. Happy birthday to you. Live it up, sing a song, do a dance, God. Gave your life, and what a blessing that is. Hope you have a great day. You're the only one in the whole school. It's your day here at Providence Academy, Reagan. And now it's time. For everybody's favorite monkey, we have Bible with Mick.

SPEAKER_00

Good morning, Mr. Allen. Check it out. I got some new running shoes. They're burgundy and black. And I even found some gold shoelaces. They're Providence sneakers. Soon we'll be seeing the high school track team running around. And that inspired me to get into shape. Now that the weather is warming up, I think I'm gonna try and do some running. Those track and field kids have to practice a lot to get ready for the actual races. And 1 Corinthians 9 24 through 25 says, Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one receives a prize? So run that you may obtain it. Every athlete exercises self-control in all things. They do it to receive a perishable week, but we can be imperishable. Which is pretty cool in the box, but eventually happen to come out and get dirty. I've got to start running. Like the verse says, I've got to have self-control in all things, so that I can keep running even when I'm tired and hurting. I've got to practice if I want to win any races. And we're running through life too. Sometimes we'll be tired, but we have to just keep pushing through, keeping the faith and looking to God for strength. Then when our life is over, we will receive the crown of life in heaven. And that's a trophy that'll never lose its value. It's the gift of eternal life, and it will never fade away.

SPEAKER_03

That's a great wrong minermica. You know, this week in our deep thoughts verse, we were talking about strength. Where does it come from? How do we get it? What do we do with it once we have it? So today's Deep Thoughts verse is from 2 Timothy 1.7. It says, For God gave us a spirit, not of fear, but of power and love and self-control. So one thing I've really been learning lately is that I should really pay attention to something that I'm afraid of. Because I'm only supposed to fear the Lord. So if I'm afraid of something else, I need to be careful because I might have put it in the spot of God. If I am afraid to get a bad grade. Okay, well, what defines you? If I am afraid that I'll get embarrassed, okay, well. Tell me about your reputation. Why are you so concerned about it? All these things we have to be careful. What if I lose money? What if I lose a baseball game? I'm afraid. Those are all warning signs. So God didn't give us a spirit of fear. He gave us a spirit of power, of love and self-control. Because see, if the only thing that you fear is the Lord, now all of a sudden you've got power in that. You have courage, you have confidence. Because no matter what happens, you know that God's gonna be there. That God is there for you. That all the really important things in life don't change. The way God feels about you is not gonna change based off if you win or lose a football game or get an A on a test, or get embarrassed, or don't make the spelling B, or whatever that is that you're afraid of. So now you don't have to be afraid of it anymore. Now you have power. But you also have love. And finally self-control. If you've got God in your heart, you're not gonna be going around just being reckless and hurting people and hurting things. You're gonna have self-control with it too. What a beautiful thing that is. So let's pray and thank God for that. Heavenly Father. Thank you for being such a big, awesome, powerful God that if we just trust in you and we don't fear anything else, but that you give us power. You fill our hearts with love, and you give us self-control. We thank you, and we thank you that we can do that only because of what your son Jesus did for us. Without that, we could not approach your throne, we could not approach you at all. Because only he was worthy. But he gave us his righteousness. We thank you. It's in Jesus' name we pray. Amen. All right, now you have an incredible day ahead of you today. You have Bible, science, spelling, history, chapel, English, and a whole lot more. But remember, today is gonna be a great day.
