Welcome to the ninth show, except in the morning radio edition where we're coming at Just Order Live and kind of on your radio each and every morning. It's Wednesday, April 1st, 2026. We got an incredible show for you today. We have announcements. Bye-bye. And a whole lot more to buckle up those seatbelts and don't touch that dial.

SPEAKER_02

Because remember, today is gonna be a great day. Let's kick it off with some announcements. Fourth grade musical performance, 8 30 this morning. It's gonna be awesome. You're gonna love what these students have prepared for you. We are blessed to have them here. It's also April Fool's Day. I thought about telling you school is closed on the radio, but I was like, ah, I wanna be a trustworthy source. So remember, keep your April Fool's jokes so that they don't hurt anyone. That's so important that you don't hurt anyone's feelings or break anyone's trust with you. But it's also fun to have a little fun on April Fool's Day as well. But now it's time for the diceyest section of the show. We have weather with Rick. Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, weather today, high 74, low 55, mostly sunny. Stan, I got a joke for you. Alright, I'm ready. But you're gonna have to participate in this one. Oh yeah, another one you're talking about. Alright, ready. Hey, bro. Yeah, bro. Can you hand me that pamphlet? Bro, sure.

SPEAKER_03

Get it like Oh man!

SPEAKER_02

Alright, now it's time for the most educational part of the show.

SPEAKER_03

We have science.

unknown

Huh.

SPEAKER_02

That's a little bitty panda. I guess it turns into a giant panda. That's pretty cool. People that are gonna remember, and their parents are gonna remember when they were really, really small. But now they've grown up big because it's their birthday!

SPEAKER_01

Zoe machete and cross the hill.

SPEAKER_02

Happy birthday.

SPEAKER_01

It's your birthday, live it up, sing a song, do a dance.

SPEAKER_02

God gave you a happy birthday to What a blessing.

unknown

Happy birthday.

SPEAKER_02

He knits us together in our mother's womb. At one point you were the size of a stick of butter when you were in your mother. But now you were born. Hopefully you weren't the size of a stick of butter when you're born. Now it's time for everybody's favorite monkey. We've got Bible with Mick.

SPEAKER_00

Good morning, Mr. Holland. I went outside to pick flowers for my mom's birthday today, but when I went to pick them, most of them were dead already. See? This is the saddest birthday bouquet ever.

SPEAKER_02

Sorry, Mick. Were there some other flowers somewhere? Maybe you can take the petals off and make something else out of them. Like hot tea or decorate a card.

SPEAKER_00

That's not a bad idea. Oh, maybe I can make her a bubble bag and put the petals in the water, too. She deserves a nice, relaxing bath after all she does for me. Wait a minute, Mr. Holland. What would I see?

SPEAKER_02

Give her seeds to plant too.

SPEAKER_00

When the flower dies, it's my new life. Mr. Holly, that's like a history story. Jesus died, but because of his death, we're given newness of life. He was a perfect sacrifice. First Corinthians 5 7b. The flowers look pretty ugly. Jesus must have looked terrible after all he went through at the time of his crucifixion. But that ugliness was necessary to complete the job. There had to be no mistake that Jesus was truly dead. His time had come, but it's not the end. It's just the beginning. Jesus didn't stay dead. He came back, giving us hope in God's plan. Jesus died and was buried just like a seed grows into the ground goes into the ground and then he came back to life. Because Jesus rose again, we can have new life too. New hearts, forgiveness, and a relationship with God.

SPEAKER_02

That's a great analogy, Mike. That's a great way to think of newness of life in this Easter season. This week in our Deep Thoughts verses, we've been talking about self-control. Today's Deep Thoughts versus Timothy 1.7. It says, For God gave us a spirit, not of fear, but of power and love and self-control. You know, I found that whatever I'm afraid of can really drive me. It can really cause me to make certain decisions, to make actions. Fear can be so powerful. And that's why when you come into the school, since the very beginning, over the door, there's been the verse, the fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge. And we should fear only Him. But when we fear other things like our reputation or the consequences of our actions, or what people will think, or all those things, we forget to fear the Lord and we let those things drive us. So God didn't give us a spirit of fear, but He gave us a spirit of power, of love, and self-control. And that's so important. We're not victims of anything. If you think that if you make a bad choice and you say, well, it was because of someone else or something else. God didn't make you a victim, God made you full of power. But he also filled you with love. That's what we should love each other and care for each other. And the last part, and what we've been talking about this week, is he also gave you a spirit of self-control. That means whatever your feelings are, you don't have to act on them. We get to make a choice. That doesn't mean that our feelings aren't there and we just ignore them. We have to deal with them, acknowledge them, but we have to realize that most of the time they're probably lying to us. And most of the time we act out of them, it's gonna be a bad choice that we're gonna regret. So remember that God gave us a spirit not of fear, but of power and of love and of self-control. So let's pray to him and thank him. Lord, we praise you. We praise you that the opposite of this is not true because, Lord, if you gave us a spirit of fear, and you made us victims, and you filled us with hate, and you made us a slave to our thoughts and our emotions, Lord, we would be in complete despair. But Lord, you didn't. You gave us not a spirit of fear, but a courage and a power. You gave us love and you gave us self-control. And Lord, what a blessing that is. So Lord, let us not waste that gift, but let us praise and honor you with those things. It's in Jesus' name we pray. Amen. Alright, you have an incredible day ahead of you today. You have Bible, science, history, spelling, English, social studies, and a whole lot more. But remember, today is gonna be a great day.
