Welcome to the night show, except in the morning radio edition, where we're coming at your sort of live and kind of on your radio each and every morning. It's Friday, April 10th, 2026. We have an incredible show for you today. We have announcements updates. Bye. And a whole lot more. So buckle up those seat belts and don't touch that dial. Because remember, today is gonna be a great day. Let's kick it off with some announcements. It's the last day for change wars. So bring in those nickels. It's the last one. So check those couch cushions. Maybe if you're already in the car, you probably are. Hey, there's uh old cars used to have ashtrays in them, and that's where everyone needs to keep their change. But maybe there's like this those little handhold things in the doors, whatever, little pockets. Check all those pockets, see if there's not in the center console some change that you can bring in that we can be generous with. You won't, you probably won't miss it, but someone's going to be blessed by it. Also, elementary drama production, The Lion, the Witch in the Wardrobe, 8:30 a.m., 5:30 p.m. I'm so excited about this show. I've been kind of watching a little bit of the rehearsals from a distance, and I've just been completely impressed. It's gonna be amazing. So, what a blessing. We are excited about this today. It's a big day, big event. But now it's time for the diceyest section of our show. We have weather with Rick.

SPEAKER_01

Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, weather day high 76, low 49, most less sunny.

Holland, I was making soup last night, and the rest of me called for five potatoes cubed. And I was like, man, 125 potatoes seems a bit excessive, doesn't it?

SPEAKER_03

That's a little math joke. You know, cubed.

SPEAKER_01

You'll learn it in middle school at least.

SPEAKER_02

Alright, now it's time for the most educational part of the show. We have. No, that's not, it's not Mick yet. We have.

SPEAKER_03

Weird science facts. Some birds can recognize hundreds of different food hiding spots they've made.

SPEAKER_02

Well, that's cool. I guess they like nestle away some food for a rainy day, and they can recognize and remember hundreds of food hiding spots. I've got a few food hiding spots. You know, you got some like uh my mother-in-law, she hides the Oreos in like a cabinet. There's like a little shelf within a cabinet, and everyone knows where it's at. I don't know why she puts them there. She it's not like it's a surpriser new to anyone. But, anyways, people that are gonna be going to their food hiding spots hoping to find cake and ice cream because they're birthday! Sensit, Alice, Brady, Magnus, Hannah Gooch, and Mr. James Bond. It's your birthday. And then this weekend, very coming to Happy Birthday, love it up. Sing a song, do a dance. It's your birthday. God gave you life. Now it's time for everybody's favorite monkey. Bible with Mick.

Good morning, Miss Cowan. I've been practicing dribbling this soccer ball. I'm getting pretty good at it, too. Have you ever wondered why a soccer ball looks the way it does? It seems like a really odd design, but it was made very strategically. See, the designer of the ball, commonly used today, found that using hexagons and pentagons together made almost a perfect sphere. And the reason for the pentagons being black and the others being white allows the players to learn how to curve the soccer ball and check its path. It wasn't until the 1950s that we had this kind of soccer ball. And sports scientists are still making lots of changes to make it perfect. All the time and effort put into the design of a simple ball that gets kicked around. It made me think about how God designed us. God didn't just throw us together, He planned us down to the smallest cell. The Bible says that He made me together in my mother's womb. God was forming me just the way I am. He chose me to have my orange hair and my black eyes and my amazing soccer skills. God doesn't make accidents, he can't make mistakes. He plans every part of us and creates us in his very own image. A soccer ball isn't much. Yet people have dedicated their lives to making it better and better. How much more does God value us? Matthew 6 26 says, look at the birds of the air. They neither sow nor reap nor gather into barns, and yet your heavenly father feeds them. Are you not of more value than they? God loves us. He provides for us. And he designed us. And you can't make yourself any better. God has a perfect plan for each of our lives.

SPEAKER_02

That's a great point, Mike. God has made us in his image. What a gift. What a blessing. You know, this week we're talking about friendship. What to do, how to get it, what not to do, why it's important. Today's verse is from Ecclesiastes 4, 9 through 12. Says this Two are better than one, because they have a good reward for their toil. For if they fall, one will lift up his fellow. But woe to him is alone when he falls and has not another to lift him up. Again, if two lie together, they keep warm. But how can one keep warm alone? And though a man might prevail against one who is alone, two will stand him. And a threefold cord is not quickly broken. Yeah, there being a friend's hard. If you're a friend and you're a good friend, it takes a lot of sacrifice. You don't always get to do what you want because you have to think about what someone else wants. You don't always get to have the best of everything because then maybe you want them to have something better. Friendship is tough, and some people are just like, you know what? I'll I want my way all the time. And I always want the best thing. And so they don't get to have friends. But that's not healthy. That's not good for us. You won't have good reward for your toil. No one will be there to lift you up. No one can keep you warm. No one can help you fend off trouble. God did not design man to be alone. But it's not easy to be a friend. And so no, it takes struggle. You have to put a lot in. But it's worth it. It's what God's called us to do. So let's pray that God will help us. Heavenly Father. Sometimes it can be tempting to just be alone. Or we don't want to go through the effort to be a friend. But God, you've called us to it. Help us. Give us a spirit of humility. Help us to think of others more than ourselves. Help us to make the sacrifices, to be good friends, and help us to choose good friends that will point us to you. But Lord, we can't do it on our own. But through your spirit, Lord, through your truth, through your word, Lord, we can. It's in Jesus' name we pray. Amen. Alright, you have an incredible day ahead of you today. You have Bible, science, spelling, history, English, social studies, and a whole lot more. But remember, today is gonna be a great day.
