Welcome to the night show except in the morning radio edition where we're coming out just sort of live and kind of on your radio each and every morning. It's Thursday, April 16th, 2026. We have an incredible show for you today. We have announcements. A whole lot more. So buckle up those seatbelts. Don't touch that dial. Because remember, today it's gonna be a great day. Let's kick it off with some announcements. Achievement test continues.

SPEAKER_01

Also, there's a pre-K in kindergarten open house. So that's not if you're already here. It's like if you know somebody that's interested and wants to check out Province Academy's preschool in their open house, this is a great time to do it. But now it's time for the diceyest section of the show. We have Weather with Rick. Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, weather today, high 83, low 59, partly cloudy. Mr. Holland, you know I'm thinking about becoming a mirror cleaner. Really? That's kind of a strange job. Well, it's it's something I could really see myself doing. Alright now. Now it's time for the most educational part of the show we have.

SPEAKER_00

Weird science facts. Sound travels faster in warm air in cold air.

SPEAKER_01

Huh. You know, you learn something new every day here on the night show. I guess there's some variability. You get the speed of the molecules. Who knows?

SPEAKER_02

But people that are gonna be traveling fast as the speed of sound here in this song hit their ears because Marley Mackie and Sebastian Hamilton. It's gonna be a birthday live.

SPEAKER_01

Happy birthday to you. Alright, now it's time for our everybody's favorite monkey. We have Bible with Mick.

SPEAKER_03

Good morning, Mr. Alvin. Check out my volcano model. I took a glass cup bottle and I poured some baking soda inside. And then I wrapped the bottle with brown clay and added some fake grass and trees to make it look more legit. In this cup over here, I have vinegar that I mix with just a bit of red food coloring. Watch what happens when I pour the vinegar into the top of the volcano. I can do this all day. It's so satisfying.

SPEAKER_01

Smells kind of funny.

SPEAKER_03

Vinegar reacts with the baking soda and produces a foamy eruption. As cool as this looks, sometimes we're like a volcano. Sometimes when we mix with certain people or certain situations, we also have a reaction. And sometimes that reaction can cause us to blow our top like this volcano. We get super angry. The Bible talks a lot about being angry. Even Jesus got angry and flipped tables over in the temple. Being angry isn't a sin. That's what we do when we get angry. Jesus didn't flip tables over because he felt like it. See, they were selling things to people to buy sacrifices to God. But something wasn't right about it. The Bible doesn't say exactly, but the fact that they were called robbers makes us think that they were either selling animals that were not perfect, but saying they were perfect for sacrificing, or they were charging way too much money. Either way, the people in the temple selling animals were ripping the those coming to worship off. They were making God angry. And if it makes God angry, you better believe God's son is gonna do something about it. Jesus was righteously angry. This is the only time we read about Jesus reacting this way, though. Every other time that Jesus was upset, he handled it very calm. Ephesians 4 says, Let all bitterness and wrath and anger and clamor and slander be put away from you, along with all malice. Be kind to one another, tenderhearted, forgiving one another as God and Christ forgave you. This isn't telling us not to get angry, it's telling us to quickly get over it. Be gracious to each other. Once this volcano erupts, I can't put everything back inside. What's been said in our anger can't be taken back either. Anger is not a sin. It's an emotion that even God feels. We just have to keep it in check so that we don't sin in our anger.

SPEAKER_01

That's a great That's a great reminder. You know, this week in our deep thoughts verse, we've been talking about strength. Where it comes from. How to get it. What do you do once you get it? So today's verse is from Isaiah 4029. It says, He gives power to the faint, and to him who has not might, he increases strength. And so you may be thinking, Mr. Holland, I don't really have strength. Strength's not really my thing. Well, you're in luck. Because God gives power to the faint. See, he's a God that cares for those that are struggling. And the reason this is cool is so before Jesus, the Romans and the pagans, they really thought that the gods only cared for strong people. And only the strong would get favor. And this is God saying, no, that's not that is not our God. That's not the God that we worship. He cares for those that are hurting, he cares for those that are weak. Because guess that that's all of us. None of us have the power to rise from the dead. None of us have the power to cleanse our sin. But God does. And he gives it. So let's pray to him. Heavenly Father, thank you. Thank you for loving even those that are weak. And Lord, thank you for giving us power when we are hurting. When we're like, we don't have the strength to do what you called us to do, God. You give it to us. So thank you for being a loving God. It's in Jesus' name we pray. Amen. Alright, you have an incredible day ahead of you today. You have Bible science, spelling, history, English, social studies, and a whole lot more. But remember, today is gonna be a great day.
