Because remember, today is gonna be a great day. Let's kick it off with some announcements.
SPEAKER_02Quarter four. Midterm. It's right now. So we're halfway through the last quarter of the year. It's gone so fast. It's been so fun. But we're we're rounding on the last lap. Also, this association meeting, April 28th. Just mark your calendar. We talk about the finances of the school, we go over strategic plan. It's kind of like a business, school business meeting. So if that's something that you want to hear more about, we are happy to share that with you. But now it's time for the dice section of the show. We have Weather with Rick.
SPEAKER_01Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, weather today, high 83, though with 59, part of the gladi. And Mr. Holland, I told my coach I broke my finger in two places. And he was like, stop going to those places.
SPEAKER_02Oh man. Alright, now let's talk for the most educational part of the show.
SPEAKER_05We have weird science facts. Your liver can rego, regrow to full size, even if part of it is removed.
SPEAKER_02Huh. I don't know how you find that out. If a doctor's like, you know, we're just gonna take a little liver. And then it regrow it. Who knows?
SPEAKER_04Fascinating stuff for people that are still growing to full size, but they're celebrating birthday. Because it's their birthday! Happy birthday! Happy birthday! Ben Mitchell and Mrs. Amy Harrington, your birthday is today. Saturday. It's your birthday tomorrow. Happy birthday. Live it up. Sing a song, do a day. It's your birthday.
SPEAKER_02God gave you life. What an awesome thing. What a miracle. But now we have everybody's favorite monkey. We have Bible with milk.
SPEAKER_00Good morning, Mr. Alvin. I was reading my Bible yesterday, and I found a parable in Luke that sounded very familiar. It was the parable of the ten minus. It starts in Luke 19, verse 12, and it says, A nobleman went into a far country to receive for himself a kingdom and then returned. Calling ten of his servants, he gave them ten minus and said to them, Engage in business until I come. But his citizens hated him and sent a delegation after him, saying, We do not want this man to reign over us. And when he returned, having received the kingdom, he ordered these servants to whom he had given the money to be called to him that they might know what they gained by doing business. The first came before him saying, Lord your minor has made ten minors more. And he said to him, Well done, good servant, because you have been faithful in the little, you shall have authority over ten cities. And the second came saying, Lord your minor has made five minors. And he said to him, And you are to be over five cities. Then another came, and then another came saying, Lord, here is your minor, which I kept laid away in a handkerchief, for I was afraid of you because you were a severe man. You take what you did not deposit, you reap what you did not sow. He said to him, I will condemn you with your own words, you wicked servant. You knew that I was a severe man, taking what I did not deposit, reaping what I did not sow? Why then did you not put my money in a bank? And then am I coming? I might collect it with interest. And he said to those who stood by, take the minor from him and give it to the one who has ten minors. Sound familiar? It's very similar to the story of the ten talents. We talk about the ten talents like we think of gifts or a talent that God has given us to use to glorify him. But a talent is still just money. This story refers to minus. One talent is equal to about six thousand deniri, which was about how much money you would make in sixteen and a half years back then. And a talent was equal to sixty minus, which would be about how much money you make in four months. But it's still a good chunk of money. But in both stories, the message is the same. God gives us blessings, but we shouldn't keep those blessings to ourselves. Whether you feel like you're too little to tell others about God or too old, we're called to share the good news. And we can be afraid to go in front of God one day. Returning to call, returning that call to Him and nothing else to give. Or we can share the love of Jesus with everyone and be called a good and faithful servant.
SPEAKER_02That's a great reminder. You know, this week we're talking about strength, how to get it, and what to do with it once you have it. And so this is a verse that talks about what to do with your strength. It's 1 Thessalonians 5.11. It says, therefore, encourage one another and build one another up just as you would do. So you might be like, Mr. Holland, you know what God has blessed me so much. Like the modest. And so now your job is to go and encourage other people. Invest in them. Build them up. Show them where you found your strength. Because we want to be a people that build each other up. God has blessed Providence so much. And so our job is to build you up. Build up as many kids as we can. Partner with as many families as we can and build them up and make their homes stronger. What a blessing. To be able to do that. And we know that it's God's strength that enables us to do this. It wasn't on our own. Well, it's not Providence's might that would that's done this. It's God who's done this. And so our job is to continue to invest in families, continue to build our school so that it can serve children for years and years and years to come, if the Lord wills. And your job is God's built you up. And so your job is to lift you lift your friends up, lift up your parents, encourage them. You might be like, oh Mr. Hall, my parents don't need to encourage me. They do. And it's good for you to encourage other people. It's good for you to use that strength. So let's pray that the Holy Spirit will help us be good stewards of the strength you give us. Heavenly Father, help us. Help us to encourage one another. Help us to use the strength that you've given us to build one another up. But Lord, we acknowledge that we wouldn't have any strength. We couldn't take a single breath without you. So we thank you, Lord. It's in Jesus' name we pray. Amen. All right, you have an incredible day ahead of you today. You have Bible, science, spelling, history, English, social studies, and a whole lot more. But remember, today is gonna be a great day.
