Welcome to the night show except in the morning radio edition where we're coming out just sort of live and kind of on your radio each and every morning. It's Wednesday, April 27th, 2nd, 2026. And we've got an incredible show for you today. We have announcements. And a whole lot more. So buckle up those seatbells and don't touch that dial.

SPEAKER_02

Because remember, today is gonna be a great day. Let's kick it off with some announcements. Every night, healthy week continues. Watch it Wednesday. We're focusing on basic hygiene and self-care. Elementary, you're gonna get a visit from Dr. Gill from first choice pediatrics and a Providence parent. And middle school, big sis and big bro chats with high school students, plus free gifts. And high school students stop by the night nutrition nook outside the secondary office for samples and health tips. Also, quarter four progress reports are issued today. It's the last one, last progress report of the year. Parents check in. See how amazing your kids are. They've been working hard. They want to show off all their hard work to you. But now it's time for the diceyest section of the show. We have weather with Rick.

SPEAKER_01

Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, weather today, high 77, low 52, partly cloudy. You know, Mr. Holland, in the span of 11 years, 115 people died in weightlifting accidents at the gym. In that same 11 years, only one person died from eating a donut. Make healthy choices this healthy choice week.

SPEAKER_02

Oh man! Alright, now we have the most educational part of the show we have.

SPEAKER_04

Weird science facts. You have tiny mice litting harmlessly on your eyelashes.

SPEAKER_02

You got all over your skin, too. You just have you're just covered in little amoeba bugs that are eating. It's it's wild. Uh kind of disgusting.

SPEAKER_03

But people, they're gonna be batting their eyelashes, slinging those mites around, blowing on candles, eating on cake, because it's their birthday. Julia, Carnegie, Lucy Myers, Wade Fleener, John Parker, and Hugh Mazzelli. Happy birthday, happy birthday.

SPEAKER_02

Live a happy birthday. It's your birthday. God gave you life. Now it's time for everybody's favorite monkey. We have Bible with Mick.

SPEAKER_00

Good morning, Mr. Holland. Today's health to be famous, Wash It Wednesday. How well do you wash your hands, Mr. Holland?

SPEAKER_02

I'm pretty well. You know, I I wash them, use the soap, scrub pretty good.

SPEAKER_00

Well, we're gonna test that. I've got this lotion here, which represents germs. Go ahead and rub it in. Now, this lotion also glows in a black light. So when I shine my light on it, it glows.

SPEAKER_02

This isn't real germs.

SPEAKER_00

We can't see germs without a microscope. But they are everywhere, just like those mites you were just talking about. These hands right now look like you just sneezed in them. Now put your hands on your desk and take it off.

SPEAKER_02

Okay, like this.

SPEAKER_00

Perfect. Now I'm gonna shine my light. See? You give a germing handprint that's glowing on your desk. Germs travel very easily. Okay, you need to wash your hands, and I'll hold down the fork here. Wash them really good though.

SPEAKER_02

Alright, I'll be right back.

SPEAKER_00

While he's washing his hands, I'll tell you about some of the hygiene rules that God gave his people thousands of years before people even discovered germs. He had rules about bathing and washing clothes after being sick, quarantine from others so that you don't make them sick. He even had laws about using the bathroom away from where you sleep and eat. Meanwhile, nations other than the Jews didn't do these things. The bubonic plague was even thought to be caused by the Jews because, due to their good hygiene, they were getting sick.

SPEAKER_02

Alright, I'm back.

SPEAKER_00

Okay, let's see how you did. Not bad, not bad. But it looks like it is a little bit under your nails there. That tends to be the most common place we forget to clean. Luckily, our sins can't hide anywhere when we're washed in Jesus' blood. We're made completely clean, pure from all the stains of sin. James 4.8 says, draw near to God and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded. God wants us to have hands that are clean and protect us from germs, but even more so from wrongdoing. We have to be made clean in our hearts as well. God established hygiene before germs were even understood. But now He cleans us not only from germs, but gives us complete spiritual cleansing.

SPEAKER_02

That's a great lesson, Nick. You know, this week in our Deep Thoughts verse, we've been talking about encouraging one another in hope. So today's Deep Thoughts verse is from 1 Peter 4, 8 through 10. It says, Above all, keep loving one another earnestly, since love covers a multitude of sins. Show hospitality to one another without grumbling, as each has received a gift. Use it to serve one another as good stewards of God's varied grace. I love this section. Love covers a multitude of sins. I like that for there's a practical application. Because if we love each other, we can help make the rough places smooth. But also, this is talking about Jesus. His love for us covered all sins. Which is incredible. Show hospitality to one another without grumbling. That can be a challenge in a classroom, especially when you get towards the end of the year. And tired of someone sitting next to you or bumping their elbow against you, or they put their backpack on your hook again. All those things. We need to show hospitality to each other. Make it easy for one another. And you have to do it without grumbling. That's the hardest part. It's not hard to show hospitality, but you want to be like, oh, grumble, grumble, grumble. I don't really. Why do I have to do this? No, we have to do it without grumbling. And here's a beautiful part. If you've received a gift, use it to serve one another. As good stewards of God's very grace. Some of us have different skills. Some of us have been blessed more than others. If you've been blessed more than others, you have a responsibility to use it to serve one another. So if you've been blessed with athletic skill, you should you should be on sports teams and serve each other. Don't just be like, I don't feel like it. If you've been blessed with height, you have to get things for people and help people. There's so many different ways that you may be blessed, but you you don't just use those to say, hey, look at me. I'm the best. You have to use those things to care for people and to love them. So let's pray that Heavenly Father will help us with this. Heavenly Father. Thank you for your love that covered all of our sins. But Lord, let us be imitators of you and let our love cover the sins of others by caring for them, by showing them hospitality without grumbling. And Lord, let us take the gifts that you've given us and let us use them to serve your people. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen. Alright, you have an incredible day ahead of you today. You have Bible, science, spelling, history, English, social studies, and a whole lot more. But remember, today is gonna be a great day!
