unknown

Mr.

SPEAKER_01

Allen, what kind of flower grows on your face? I don't know. Two lips.

SPEAKER_02

Oh man, that was a weird one, kinda. Alright, now it's time for the most educational part of the show we have.

SPEAKER_03

Weird science facts. A human skeleton has 206 bones as an adult.

SPEAKER_02

That's a lot of bones. People that are making no bones about it because it's their birthday. Sunday was Alexander Wood, Brady Johnson, and Waylon Reeves. Today, John Reynolds, Andrea. Happy birthday, happy birthday life. What a blessing. Alright, now it's time for everybody's favorite monkey. We have Bible with Mick.

SPEAKER_00

Good morning, Mr. Howling. Come on, Rick. That's my banana. Rick, he gave it to me!

SPEAKER_01

You gotta be quicker than that, man.

SPEAKER_00

Mick, it's not funny! Mr. Holling, can you help? No, he won't give it back.

SPEAKER_02

Rick, give him his banana back. Alright. Here you go, Mike.

SPEAKER_00

Thank you, Rick. And thank you, Mr. Holland. I'm so glad you were here to help.

SPEAKER_02

No problem, Mick. No one likes being picked on. I know how frustrating that can be.

SPEAKER_00

I appreciate you interceding for me.

SPEAKER_01

Interceding? I think you're just supposed to plant seeds, not in her. Are you gonna go on and do a little seed?

SPEAKER_00

No, Rick, interceding. It means to step in on behalf of someone else. Mr. Holland saw that I wasn't getting through talking to you on my own, so he stepped in and talked to you for me. You know, Jesus intercedes for us all the time. God can't be in the presence of sin. And he's never been tempted to sin himself. And Satan is roaming the earth, catching people and sin constantly. It's a Jesus coming down from heaven as 100% man and 100% God. He experienced the temptation that every sin the world has to offer. And he stayed perfect. But now he comes before God to support us. Jesus knows how it feels to be in this world. And he talks to the Father on our behalf to continually cleanse us of our sins. And convince God give us mercy. Before Jesus, the high priest had to intercede for the Jews. And before that, Moses. God is the judge. And Satan is trying to plead his case of why we deserve punishment. We are so blessed to have a perfect son of God, like an attorney, interceding for us. And not only is he getting us out of trouble, but he takes the punishment for our sins.

SPEAKER_02

Thanks, Mick. You know, that's a great reminder. You know, this week in our deep thoughts verses. We're talking about work. As we get to the end of the school year, we get tired. And we have to remember to persevere, to keep working, to push on. Today's Deep Thoughts verse is from Proverbs 1423. It says, In all toil there is profit, but mere talk tends only to poverty. So there's this idea that we wanna talk about it, talk about it, talk about it. I'm gonna make a plan to do work. I'm gonna think about doing work. I'm gonna talk about how I'm gonna do this thing. But the actual doing of it, that's the most important part. It's gotta get to work so you can talk about how you're gonna do your math homework. You could even come up with a plan, and there's nothing wrong with coming up with a plan. But it's good to get to action. Get to work on doing the things. And as you grow and as you mature, there's gonna be more things that God is gonna call you to do. And I've known too many people that are like, oh, I've got a great business idea, but they never actually get to work on it. Or I've got this calling that I think God's put on my life, but they just plan and plan and talk about it and talk about it, and they never actually do the work. And so this is this is a proverb that's teaching us to get to work. Now, there's no way we can work so that God will love us more. There's nothing we can do to be loved more by God. God sees us as perfect because of what Jesus did for us. But when he looks at our life, he says, Hey, these are the things that I want for you. There are blessings that I want to give to you, and these are the avenues in which I give you these things. And so, until there is profit, but mere talk leads only to profit, poverty. So let's pray that the Holy Spirit will work within us. Heavenly Father, help us to be people of work. Help us to be people that till the soil and sow the seeds. God, we know that you are the one that reaps the harvest. You are the one that brings things forth. But God, He said there can be no harvest if there no seeds have been planted. So, Lord, help us to be faithful to the calling you've placed on our life. Here at Province Academy, each and every day. It's in Jesus' name we pray. Amen. Alright, you have an incredible day ahead of you today. You have Bible, science, spelling, history, English, social studies, and a whole lot more. But remember, today is gonna be a great day.
