We have an incredible show for you today. We have announcements. What's updates? Bible with me. And a whole lot more to buckle up those seatbelts and don't touch that dial. Because remember, today is gonna be a great day. Let's kick it off with some announcements. The association meeting is tonight at 6 30. So if you want to know more about the business practices of the school, uh this is a great meeting to come to. We we give a state of the school address and then we uh present the the board presents the finances. Uh so it's a it's a great meeting if you want to know more about those operations. It's also the end-of-year launch. Launch for high school yearbook students. So if you are on the uh high school yearbook staff, we got a launch for you, so just be prepared for that. But now it's time for the diceyest section of the show. We have weather with Rick. Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, weather today, high 73, low 50, thunder showers. Actually, it just says tea showers, but I'm assuming that means thunder. It could be Tyrannosaurus Rex, I don't know. Look up at the sky, whatever's coming down, that's what it is. But now it's time. For the d nope. It's not time for anything yet. I got a joke. I went to a really emotional wedding last week. Really? Yeah. That's that's cool. Even the cake was in tears. Oh man, alright. Now it's time for the most educational part of the show.
SPEAKER_01We have Weird Designs. There are places on Earth where it rains fish.
SPEAKER_00Whoa. Okay, so I've I've sailed a lot of places around the world, and there are these flying fish. And if you're if you're sailing and the fish are coming up, they will sail right over the top of your boat and they'll land on your boat, and it's yeah, it's like it's raining fish. It's pretty, it's pretty wild, and also like they'll they'll hit you. So you just gotta watch out with people that are gonna be raining down cake and ice cream because they're so excited, because it's there! And me! It's my birthday, and I got all my birthday buddies. Happy birthday, God gave us life. Happy birthday. We're still grateful. What an awesome gift. Thank you, Jesus. For having us to be born. What a great this is a great day for a birthday. I will I will definitely say that. Now it's time for everybody's favorite monkey. We have Bible with Mick.
SPEAKER_02Happy birthday, Mr. Howan! I got you a special gift. I made it myself.
SPEAKER_00Oh, thanks, Mick. You didn't have to get me anything.
SPEAKER_02You're a special friend. I'm just so proud of all the hard work. If I had money, I would buy you whatever you wanted. But I don't have pockets.
SPEAKER_00This is great, Mick. I'll I'll find a special place for it. It's sweet of you to remember my birthday.
SPEAKER_02Of course, Mr. Hunt. It made me think of another birthday in the Bible. Only your present must not have been as great as King Harry's because he loved his gift so much. He rewarded the one who gave it to him. Anything she wanted to have the kingdom. King Harry was having a big banquet to celebrate his birthday. And his wife sent her daughter to share a fabulous dance. It was phenomenal. And the king was so impressed. He asked her what she wanted in return. Mark 6, 24 through 28 says, and she went out and said to her mother, what should I ask? And she said, The head of John the Baddies. And she came in immediately with haste to the king and asked him, I want you to give me at once the head of John the Baddies on a plot. And the king was extremely exceedingly sorry. But because of hiself in his gas, he did not want to break his word to him. And immediately the king sent an executioner with orders to bring John's head. He went and behind him in prison and brought his head on a platter and gave it to the girl. And the girl gave it to her mother. Imagine receiving the gift of a dead man's hand on a platter. Yeah. But this wasn't just any man, it was Jesus' own cousin, John the Baptist. The king's wife hated John the Baptist because he had told them that the king can't marry her. And not just married anyone. She was married to Harry's own brother. Talk about family drama. Don't worry, Mr. Holland. I'll never ask you to kill my enemies. But I do hope you have a great birthday and enjoy my gift. You deserve it.
SPEAKER_00Thanks, Mick. You know, this week we're talking about work. And it's important. And we will remember that we can't work our way into heaven. We can't work to make God love us anymore. But God gave us the commandment to work because he knows that it's good for us. And so today's Deep Thoughts verse is from 2 Thessalonians 3, 10 through 12. It says, For even when we were with you, we would give you this command. If anyone is not willing to work, let him not eat. For we hear that some among you walk in idleness, not busy at work, but busy bodies. No such persons we command and encourage in the Lord Jesus Christ to do their work quietly and to earn their own living. Busy at work, not busy bodies. Yeah, that's a sign that you could put above your door. If your teacher put that sign above their door, it would be a good thing because we all know busybodies. The people that are concerned with what everyone else is doing and critiquing what everyone else is doing and saying, oh, this person should have done that better. And oh, let me tell you the secret about this other person and the work they should be doing, but they're not busy at their own work. And that's something that Paul wanted to warn us about here. Don't be busy bodies, but be busy at work. And he went even further. If you don't work, you shouldn't eat. That's a powerful, it's a powerful driver within us that God put there for a reason. God gave us hunger for a reason, because it motivates us to be productive. Because you gotta eat. And it's a reminder to be busy at our work. So we wanna be not busybodies, but we want to work quietly and earn our own living. And you might be like, Mr. Holland, I'm too little, no one would hire me. They don't hire eight-year-olds or eleven-year-olds or five-year-olds at Chick-fil-A right now. I can't get a job. And God says, okay, you still have work to do. You have your schoolwork. You have your house that has to be cleaned, and there's disorder that happens that you should be busy about your work with. There are so many things that you can do to be as busy at your work as you can be. Let's pray the Holy Spirit helps with that. Heavenly Father, help us to be busy at work. Lord, we repent that we have been busy bodies. So change us from the inside out. And let us be great workers for your kingdom. And Lord, let us follow Jesus who did the ultimate work for us. It's in Jesus' name we pray. Amen. All right, you have an incredible day ahead of you today. You have Bible, science, spelling, history, English, social studies, and a whole lot more. But remember, today is gonna be a great day.
