Welcome to the night show, except for the morning radio edition where we're coming at your store to live and kind of on your radio each and every morning. It's Wednesday, April 29th, 2026. We have an incredible show for you today. We have announcements for the big Bible with me. And a whole lot more. So buckle up those deep belts and don't touch that dot. Because remember, today is gonna be a great day. Let's kick it off with some announcements.

SPEAKER_03

House cup trip to Dollywood. Big fun. If you win the House Cup when you're in high school and you compete all year long in all kinds of different activities, you don't have to go to school today. We all go to Dollywood. I'm coming with them. It's gonna be great. What a great day. Also, middle school chapel at 820 in a middle school golf match at Warriors Path Golf Course versus Sullivan Heights Middle School. But now it's time for the dicey section of the show. We've got weather with Rick.

SPEAKER_01

Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, weather today, high 72, low of 47 M showers. Stalin, as a surprise for my wife's birthday, I got a world map and gave her some darts, and I said, wherever these darts land, I'm taking you on a long vacation. Well, turns out we're spending about three weeks behind the fridge.

SPEAKER_03

Oh man, all right, now it's time for the most educational part of the show. We have weird science effects.

SPEAKER_01

Some octopuses can change both color and texture in seconds.

SPEAKER_03

Whoa, I've actually seen this. Uh snorkeling a bunch of times. And they'll they change they happen so fast, it's like incident. It's not like they slowly change color, it's like bang. It's pretty cool, pretty fascinating stuff.

SPEAKER_02

But people that aren't gonna want to change anything today, they're gonna want it to be today all day long because it's their birthday, Mason McDonald and Addison Mitchell. It's your birthday. Live it up, sang a song, two days.

SPEAKER_03

God gave you life. Be glad that you were born. Alright, now it's time for everybody's favorite monkey. We have Bible with Mick.

SPEAKER_00

Good morning, Mr. Allen. I got a science experiment for you. It's a little messy, so I'm gonna do it over this tray. I got two cups of fresh water. One cup, I'm gonna add a lot of salt. The salt represents God's peace that He can give us. His peace helps us when we go through the tough times in our lives. It's the peace that passes all understanding. I'm gonna stir it up and then I'm gonna set it aside over here. This other cup represents the world. And I'm gonna add some food covering to represent all the bad things that can happen to us. Maybe it's sickness, or we lose someone really special to us, or we get hurt, or we sick. Now I'm gonna put this piece of cardstock over the top of the food covering water cup and then feel carefully turn it upside down on top of the saltwater cap. Now I'm water and then slide this cardstock up in between them. See, the colored water floats above the salt water. The world is full of bad things. God allows bad things to happen to us because God shapes us into who God needs us to be. So even though bad things are happening over us, God guards us and gives us peace. Philippians 4, 637 says, Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything, by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your request be made on your guide. And the peace of God which surpasses all understanding will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.

SPEAKER_03

That's a great reminder, Mike. You know, this week in our deep thoughts verse, we've been talking about work. Today's Deep Thoughts verse is from Philippians 2, 14 and 15. It says, Do all things without grumbling or disputing, that you may be blameless and innocent children of God without blemish in the midst of a crooked and twisted generation, among whom you shine as lights in the world. This one's a challenge. How do we work without grumbling, complaining, fighting with each other about it? I want you to think about what does it look like when it's time to do your homework each night. How do you respond? Because if you can do work without grumbling and complaining, you're gonna be a shining light in this world. People are going to notice. You can minister to your parents that way. That's such a blessing to them if you do your work without grumbling or complaining. My kids are great at this. They rarely ever grumble or complain about their work. They just get to it, and what a blessing that is to their mother and I. You can be a blessing to your teachers. You can be a blessing to your community. This is your opportunity to be a light. Now it sounds hard, but in practice it's easy. It's a very simple thing that we can do to be a light in this world. But we can't do it on our own. Let's pray that the Holy Spirit will help us. Heavenly Father. Lord, we confess that we can be grumblers and complainers. And we can blend in in this twisted world. But God help us. Change us from the inside out. Let us be those that do our work without grumbling or complaining. Lord, so that we can be a light, that we can show people who you are and how you have changed everything. But we can't do this on our own, but Lord, through your spirit, we can. So we beg you, please help us. It's in Jesus' name we pray. Amen. All right, you have an incredible day ahead of you today. You have Bible, science, spelling, history, English, math, and a whole lot more. But remember, today is gonna be a great day.
