SPEAKER_02And a whole lot more. So buckle up those seat belts and don't touch the guys. Because remember, today is gonna be a great day. Let's kick it off with some announcements. Moms in prayer. Moms, you're always invited to pray. You're always invited in the school, but on Monday mornings, we have moms in prayer in the cafeteria right after drop off. Lots of exciting things happening this week. There's a night of worship on Wednesday, May 6th at the Jackson Theater. If you want to check that out, there's exciting things going on. We're getting closer and closer each day to the end of the school year. So we want to savor each day, live it to the fullest. But now it's time for the Diceyest section of the show. We have weather with Rick.
SPEAKER_00Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, weather today. High 76, low 54, part the cloudy. You know, Miss Holland? I've only seen people that are underwhelmed or overwhelmed. You know, you never see people that are whelmed properly.
SPEAKER_02It's true. Never properly whelmed. Alright, now it's time for the most educational part of that show we have.
SPEAKER_03Weird science and facts.
SPEAKER_01Ants can survive forming living rafts.
unknownHuh.
SPEAKER_02Ants are smarter than you think. Survivors, people that are gonna be surviving the flood of presents, cake, and ice cream headed their way because it's their birthday!
SPEAKER_01Carver Montgomery here says today, and then we're gonna do some summer birthdays, a little bit each day. May 24th and May 25th, Jessica Osner, Ella Me and Alice Shade. Your birthday is coming. Happy birthday to you! Have it up, send us someone no day.
SPEAKER_02It's your birthday, or will be this summer. God gave you life. Alright, now it's time. For everybody's favorite monkey, we have Bible with Mick.
SPEAKER_03Good morning, Mr. Holland! Check it out. I found the recipe to make giant bubbles. It's six cups of distilled water, half a cup cornstarch, a tablespoon baking powder, a tablespoon of glycerin, but you can use corn syrup, and half a cup of blue Dawn dish soap. The brand of soap is actually important because the Dawn dish soap has the perfect amount of successiness to make it work. I made this recipe times 10 so that I can use this kitty pull and a hula hoop. So, Mr. Holland, I'm gonna need you to take off your shoes and socks. And maybe roll up your pants a bit too. Then you can stand here in the middle of the kiddie pool inside the hula hoop.
SPEAKER_02Okay.
SPEAKER_03Be careful, it's really slippery.
SPEAKER_02So cold. All right. All right, um I'm in position.
SPEAKER_03Okay, now I'm gonna live the hula hoop around you. You're really tall, Mr. Holland. Okay, so now I'm gonna pull it really quick and see if you can close the bubble around you. And it popped. Maybe someone shorter would work. But anyways, Mr. Holland, what was it like inside the bubble?
SPEAKER_02Pretty cool. It felt like it had to be pretty still so I didn't pop it. I know how fragile bubbles are.
SPEAKER_03They are pretty fragile. This giant bubble separates you from the world around you. But you're still in the world, just covered. This is how we are when we walk with God. Giant 17, 14 through 15 says, I have given them your word, and your world has hated them because they are not of the world. Just as I am not of the world, I do not ask that you take them out of the world, but that you keep them from the evil one. See, God puts us in the world, but he covers us to keep us separate from the evil in the world. And unlike this bubble, God's protection isn't going to pass. If you were able to walk around in this bubble, you'd look really different from everyone else. And we should also look different when we have Christ covering us. We have to live in this world, but not of the world. It's where we've been placed, but we also have to be in spirit, because Jesus' blood covers us into a new creation, transformed by the Holy Spirit.
SPEAKER_02That's a great that's a great lesson, Meg. You know, this week, you might be like me. And you might be like we're getting towards the end of the school year. I mean, we only have three weeks left. But at the end of something, at the end of the race, if you've ever run a distance race before, it's it's when you're most tired. It's when your form starts to break down, you start to struggle to keep back the good habits. So we're gonna look at some verses this week that talk about perseverance when things get difficult. So today's Deep Thoughts verse is James 1, 12. It said, Blessed is the man who remains steadfast under trial. For when he has stood the test, he will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him. Remain steadfast under trial. That's tough to do. Steadfast. That's a we talked about this as kind of like a nautical term when you you hold on tight to something. You know, when you're in a storm on a boat, there are these things called sheets, it just means they're ropes that hold the hold the sails in place. But you want to hold fast to those. And so when the storm comes, when there's trials, we want to remain steadfast. That means we don't want to let go. That's not the time to back away. It's not the time to let off. No one runs a marathon and wants to not run the last mile. As we get to the school year, it's it's like we're in the last mile, and you may want to back off, and you may not want to work as hard as you did before, and be diligent with your homework. Be diligent with the task at hand, but God says don't do that. Remain steadfast under trial. When we stood the test, we will receive the crown of life, which God has promised to those who love him. So let's pray that we can be steadfast in these trials of these last few weeks. Heavenly Father. We confess that we grow weary, that sometimes we're dependent on our own strength. But Lord help us in these last weeks at Providence Academy to not let off. But let us be steadfast under trial. Let us be consistent, let us cling to you. But Lord, we can't do this on our own. But Lord, through your spirit, we can. It's in Jesus' name we pray. Amen. Alright, you have an incredible day ahead of you today. You have Bible, science, spelling, history, English, social studies, and a whole lot more. But remember, today is gonna be a great day.
