Welcome to the night show except in the morning radio edition where we're coming at your sort of live and coming up on your radio each and every morning. It's Tuesday, May 12th, 2026. We have an incredible show for you today. We have announcements. Bible with me.
SPEAKER_03And then a whole lot more. So buckle up those teeth bells and don't touch that dial. Because remember, today is gonna be a great day.
SPEAKER_04Let's kick it off with some announcements. This Friday night is senior graduation. We also have graduation rehearsal on the 14th. We've got middle school and high school awards. Tomorrow, yearbook distribution, all the things. End of the year, things are winding down. What a great year. What an awesome year it's been. Let's land this plane. Well, let's run this last part of the race with endurance. But now it's time for the diceyest section of the show. We have weather with Rick.
SPEAKER_01Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, weather today. Something that kind of perplexes me. The fact that they're a silly buddy. It really implies the existence of a serious buddy.
SPEAKER_04Oh man, alright, now it's time for the most educational part of our show.
SPEAKER_01We have science. It may last for millions of years.
SPEAKER_04Wow. The things on the moon are forever. Well, until the Lord comes back. He may come back today. There may not be millions of years for the footprints to be there. May just be a few years, but those they won't be blown away.
SPEAKER_03But people that are gonna be blowing away the flames on their cake because it's their birthday! Dayton, Maxwell, Henry Wings, Evelyn Brandt, and Garrett Snedeker. Silver birthdays, June 12th, June 17th day. Just the chip, everybody, public day, and queen, I think the chapter beat the birthday. It's your birthday.
SPEAKER_04This summer or today. God gave you life. It's something worth celebrating. But now we have everybody's favorite monkey we have Bible with Mick.
SPEAKER_00Good morning, Mr. Holyn! I was just thinking about the year coming to an end. It's kind of bittersweet, you know? I mean, I'm super excited about the trips and sleeping in and swimming and all the fun things I get to do over summer break. But I'm gonna miss the night show until next year. I'm gonna miss all my friends. I'm gonna miss science lessons. I knew this day was coming, but it still seemed to just sneak up on me, you know? When Jesus died, I'm sure the apostles felt a mix of emotions too. Only they were expecting Jesus to start a new kingdom, not to die, but to overcome the grave, to fulfill the promise he made, to make a new covenant. Matthew 5, 17 says, Do not think that I have come to abolish the law or the prophets. I have not come to abolish them, but to fulfill them. Jesus completed the prophecies. He had given the prophets thousands of years before, and he was ready to begin the next part of his plan, which was to invite everyone to the loving arms of God, adopting all nations into his family and washing our sins away. But that doesn't mean it's gone. We still have camps and all kinds of opportunities. They're just a different focus. Now the Holy Spirit dwells in us so that our hearts are constantly being purified by the blood of the perfect sacrifice. Next year will look different for every student. Different teachers, different things that we learn, different classrooms and expectations. But that's all part of maturing and growing. After the Holy Spirit rested on the apostles, they brought many other others to Christ. New covenant. Everything on earth has to eventually come to an end. Like just like our our theme verse from last year, the grass weathers, the flower fades, but the word of our God will stand forever. As this year comes to a close, a new chapter begins. Still with all the change, God remains the same.
SPEAKER_04Thanks for sharing, Meg. You know, as we get towards the end of the school year, one of the best things that we can do, really any time of the year, is read God's word. Today's deep thoughts verse is Philippians 3, 13 through 14. It says, brothers and sisters, I do not consider myself yet to have taken hold of it. But one thing I do, forgetting what is behind and straining towards what is ahead, I press on towards the goal to win the prize for which God has called me heavenward in Christ Jesus. As you are as you're living the Christian life, it's so important to realize that we're to look ahead. We're to look ahead in anticipation that God is gonna fulfill his promises, that he is going to do great things, that he is going to redeem us, that he calls us heavenward. Because one trap that you can fall into is you can look to the future and be like, ah, I don't. I don't think God has a great plan. I don't have a lot of hope for the future. Let me tell you this, you should. God has made you in his image. He has an incredible plan for your life. He's gonna give you incredible things. Now, not things like the earth. You know, not like the world would say, like, oh, this is incredible. He's not gonna give you a Ferrari. But he's gonna give you peace. He's gonna give you joy that the rest of the world might look at and say, that I don't understand that. That joy is gonna come from that. So we push on towards that. We forget what is behind. And we push on to the goal to win the prize for which God has called us in Christ Jesus. So let's pray to him. Heavenly Father. Help us to realize that your promises are true, that your plan for us is perfect. And Lord, help us to have hope as we look towards the future. But Lord, on our own strength we can have despair. But Lord, through your power, we'll be blessed. It's in Jesus' name we pray. Amen. Alright, you have an incredible day ahead of you today. You have Bible, science, spelling, history, English, social studies, and a whole lot more. But remember, today is gonna be a great day.
