We have an incredible show for you today. We have announcements sports updates. Bible with me. And a whole lot more. So buckle up those seatbelts and don't touch that dial.
SPEAKER_02Because remember, today is gonna be a great day. Let's kick it off with some announcements. Yearbook distribution is today. So parents, watch those backpacks. Memories from the year are headed your way. It's also middle school chapel high school awards are at 110. What a great day. What a great day to celebrate what God has done in the lives of our students by giving those awards and turning those awards over to him. But now it's time for the diceyest section of the show. We have weather with Rick. Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, weather today high 78, low 54, part the cloudy. And I was like, I'm gonna need a run and start, but I made it.
SPEAKER_03You get it like clear, like running over the jumping over it.
SPEAKER_02No, we got it. We got it. Alright, now it's time for the most educational part of the show.
SPEAKER_03We have weird science facts.
SPEAKER_02It's kind of what if it was like the bacteria that maybe you got on your armpits when you sweat? What if that glue? That'd be kind of weird. That'd be kind of gross though. God's creation is phenomenal. People that aren't gonna be glowing because they have bacteria, but they're gonna be glowing because they're so happy because it's their bacterii! Mrs. Lindsay Robertson, Mrs.
SPEAKER_01Amber Stitt, Jake Schuller, Nicholas Stephalopoulos, Alana Adams, Happy Birthday.
SPEAKER_02It is your birthday. What a great day to be born. What a great thing to celebrate. Oh wait. June 18th or June 22nd! Nebella Barbara, Brian Belt, Mackenzie Childers, Grayson Carmelion, Ruby Holmes, Jack Conker, Aaron Rabbins, and Bradley Bob of Grace Courtman. That's June 18th, June 22nd. It's gonna be your birthday this summer. Whew, I almost missed him. Getting all the summer birthdays in. For everybody's favorite monkey. We have Bible with Meg.
SPEAKER_00Good morning, Mr. Howen! Mr. Howan, I noticed the weirdest thing yesterday. Granny Key took me out for ice cream. And I was licking the ice cream, and it was my favorite flavor! Banana pudding. And I enjoyed it so much. But the more that I ate of it, the colder my tongue got. And as my tongue got cold, I couldn't taste the banana as much. I was trying so hard to enjoy my banana pudding ice cream, just what isn't this thing? When I was I used to sing a song that was like real joy only but Jesus Christ, and then others and ourselves. We don't want to be known ignoring the needs of others. Like it says in Philippians two, three to four do nothing from selfish ambition or can see, but in humility, how another is more significant than yourself. Let each of you look not only to his own interest, but also to the interest of others.
SPEAKER_02Thanks, Meg. You know, as we close out this school year, we're looking at God's word as we do every day. But it's so important to look at God's word and say, okay, what does it say? What does it have to teach us? Today's Deep Thoughts verses from Mark 12, 30 through 31. And it says, And you shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, with all your soul, with all your mind, and with all your strength. Second is this you shall love your neighbor as yourself. There is no greater than these. This verse, there's some Pharisees that come and they ask, Jesus, what's most important? And this is what Jesus says is most important. We want to love the Lord our God. With everything that we have, with all your soul, with all your mind. That's why we memorize scripture here at Province Academy. That's why we study the Bible. All our strength. It takes commitment. It takes courage. It takes endurance. But we also want to love our neighbor as ourselves. And that's when you take those things. If you really love God, you're gonna love people. That's just part of it. That's what that's what you do. That's how God transforms you. If you're loving people really, really well, that's gonna be an indicator that you're also loving the Lord well. But it's something that we can fall short on. It's something that we can miss because we want to be selfish. We want to love ourselves the most. We want to make sure that if we're in class, we get to be the line leader. Or if there's only a little bit of dessert left, we want to make sure that we're the ones that get it. My guy's like, no, if you're really loving me, when you see that last piece of dessert, you're gonna say, I really I want other people to be able to get this. When it's time to line up, you're like, you know, I'm gonna actually I'm gonna let this person in front of me. I bet they've had a hard day, and this might be a way that'll cheer them up. But that takes the Holy Spirit working through you. So let's pray to Him. Heavenly Father. We confess that we can be selfish. Lord, we confess that we can love other things with all of our soul and with all of our mind and with all our strength. And Lord, let us be lovers of you. Let us love our neighbors. Help us though. We can't do it on our own, but Lord, with your power, we can. It's in Jesus' name we pray. Amen. All right, you have an incredible day ahead of you today. You have Bible, science, spelling, history, English, social studies, and a whole lot more. But remember, today is gonna be a great day.
