Welcome to the night show except in the morning radio edition where we're coming at you sort of live and kind of on your radio each and every morning. It's Thursday, May 14th, 2026. We have an incredible show for you today. We have announcements. Bye boy with me. And a whole lot more is a buckle of those beat belts and don't touch that dial. Because remember, today is gonna be a great day. Let's kick it off with some announcements. Graduation rehearsals today, senior lunch, high school fine arts banquet slash reception. And then the reading jump party. Man, a lot of stuff going on here at Province Academy Day. Very exciting. It happens here, but now it's time. For the dicey section of the show, we have weather with Rick.
SPEAKER_00Mr. I had a job interview, and they asked where I see myself in five years. And I was like, I'll probably still use a mirror.
SPEAKER_03Yeah, like where I see myself.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, in the mirror. We got it. Alright, now it's time for the most educational part of the show we have.
SPEAKER_03Weird science attacks. The Earth's atmosphere stretches about 300 miles into space.
SPEAKER_01Whoa. 300 miles is a long way. I'm trying to think of what would be three. Maybe Memphis is 300 miles away. Give or take. Maybe maybe a little bit further. I'll have to look that up.
SPEAKER_02People that are gonna be not traveling to 300 miles into space, nobody's gonna be doing anything because it's nobody's birthday. Nothing. Nada.
SPEAKER_01You can just know that if you see someone today, you can know it's not their birthday. So you can say hey. Happy not birthday. We're still glad people were born. Oh, but summer birthdays, I keep on missing happy birthday.
SPEAKER_02We got summer birthdays, June 23rd, June 27th. Aiden, Jordan Woody, Rebecca Chambers, Noah Hughes, Lou Stephanopoulos, William Little, Ellie Gentle, Naomi Nelson.
SPEAKER_01A lot of birthdays. A lot of birthdays in the summer. We're glad that you guys are were born then. Summer's a great time. I love the summer. I really like all the seasons. February, not a fan. I'll just be honest with you. Now there's Valentine's Day and there's birthdays that happen there, but outside of that, February's not my favorite. But now it's time. I digress. Now it's time for everybody's favorite. Monkey. We have Bible with Mick.
SPEAKER_04Good morning, Miss Helen. I got my earbook yesterday, but I forgot to ask you to sign it. I have so many signatures in here, but I'm sure I can find some space in here. I don't even know all these people. I just got excited. I stopped complete strangers in the hallway so I could collect all the names in the school. Even though I don't know all these people, the yearbook has all their names and pictures, so I can look it up to remind myself who signed it. Did you know God has a book fully names too? We read, written about it in Revelation, the book of life. In it are all the names of the ones who accepted Jesus as their savior, the free gift of salvation. When our names are written in that book, we are covered by the grace of God and our punishment's taken away. The book of life is mentioned seven times in Revelation. Seven represents completion in the Bible. So to have the book of life mentioned seven times, has it talked about the completion of our life on earth? I'm sure it's no accident. Revelation 2015 says, and if anyone's name was not found written in the book of life, he was thrown into the lake of fire. Whoa! That's intense. Imagine if the ones who chose to have their names in my yearbook received a summer cruise. But the ones who didn't want to sign had to go to summer school. That doesn't even compare to a lake of fire. But you know what? God writes your name in that book, and no one can erase it. Revelation 3:5 says, the one who conquers will be clothed thus in white garments and will never blot his name out of the book of life. I will confess his name before my father and before his angels. It's the last couple weeks of school, Mr. Holland. It is the last week that these teachers have with their students to share the love of Christ. Writing your name in a yearbook is fine, but it's nothing compared to having our names written in the book of life. That makes it very easy to accept salvation. Maybe it's time for some of us to make that decision to put on Christ today. And have our names written in the book of life.
SPEAKER_01You know, this week we've been diving into God's Word as we have all here. So today's deep thoughts verse is from 2 Corinthians 5.17. It says, Therefore, if any man be in Christ, he is a new creature. Old things are passed away. Behold, all things are becoming new. So when you're in Christ, you're a new creature. And you might be like, Mr. Holland, I became a Christian years ago. But I I still fall into those old things. Well guess what? God still, when he looks at you, he doesn't see those things. He still just sees Jesus. The old is past. Now there's there's a gap between how God sees us and how we are. And you know, we we want to close that gap. But there's nothing that we can do to make God love us any less, and there's nothing that we can do to make God love us anymore. But God's transforming us. If we're loving Him, if we're following Him, if we're reading His Word, we're praying, God's gonna transform us. There's no way not to be changed. So you can rest in that. You are a new creation of fear in Christ. And you're like, Mr. Hanat, I've never taken that step. What's the most important step that you can take? So I want to encourage you. Talk. Talk to your parents, talk to your pastor. Don't wait. Don't delay. But let's pray to God. Heavenly Father, thank you. Thank you for sending your son Jesus to die for us. Thank you that you don't see us. The way that we are, but Lord, you see us covered with Jesus' blood. Covered. Our sins are covered. You don't see them anymore. And God, thank you for not leaving us how you found us. But God, thank you for transforming us, changing us from the inside out. So, Lord, we submit ourselves to you. You are Lord of our life. It's in Jesus' name we pray. All right, you have an incredible day ahead of you today. You have Bible, science, spelling, history, English, social studies, and a whole lot more. But remember, today is gonna be a great day.
