SPEAKER_01

Welcome to the night show, except in the morning radio edition where we're coming out just sort of live and kind of under radio each and every morning.

SPEAKER_03

It's Monday, May 18th, 2026.

SPEAKER_01

We have an incredible show for you today. We have announcements updates. Bible with me.

SPEAKER_03

And a whole lot more. So buckle up those seatbelts. Don't touch that dial. Because remember, today is gonna be a great day. Let's kick it off with some announcements. Moms in prayer, Monday morning, 8 a.m. Moms, you're always invited in the school. This is your last chance. It's the last week of school. That's the other announcement. This is the last Monday. Uh there's not even a full week left. You've almost made it. We're gonna really miss you. But we're proud of you for all the work that you've done this year. But enjoy these last days as learn as much as you possibly can. But now it's time for the diceyest section of the show. We've got weather with Rick.

SPEAKER_02

Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls. Weather today, high 91, low 62, Sunny. Mr. Holland, what's brass and sounds like Tom Jones? I don't know. Trombone.

SPEAKER_03

That's a weird one. Alright, now we have the most educational part of the show.

SPEAKER_02

We have weird science facts. Some seeds can wait decades before sprouting.

SPEAKER_03

That's cool. That's a good, like, metaphorical lesson, too, parents. Uh some seeds wait a long time. They sit in the ground and they they take a long time to germinate. And that's true about the lessons of our life. Sometimes they don't sprout right away. They take a little bit of time. But people that are gonna be not wanting to wait a long time to open the seeds and open the presents because it's their birthday! Sunday with Savannah Bolton, Dorothy Feathers, Lincoln Johnson, Weston Haynes, and Hannah Smith today. Happy birthday to Lily, Mrs. Linda Holloway, happy birthday, and Mr. Burning Dunday to June, Miss Horn Lines. Lots of birthdays. Lots of people being born. What a blessing God gave you life. That's something worth celebrating. But now we have everybody's favorite monkey. We have Bible with Mick.

SPEAKER_00

Good morning, Mr. Holland! Oh, it's hard to believe it's only four and a half more days of school. Do you have any summer plans this summer?

SPEAKER_03

Oh yeah, we're going to the beach. We've got I got a pool in the backyard, so I love that. We go to Doe River a lot. Uh got some projects we're gonna work on, football, all the things. How about you, Mick?

SPEAKER_00

Ooh, I'm gonna add those to my list. That sounds so much fun.

SPEAKER_03

That's a pretty long list you got there, Mick. Sure, you can do all those things in one summer?

SPEAKER_00

Well, I've already started. Last night I marked off number 32 on my list. Stay up all night watching the stars on my telescope.

SPEAKER_03

All night? But that's still your school, you're still going. You gotta finish drawing.

SPEAKER_00

There's so much I want to do, and I wanna do it now. There's still a lot to do. That reminds me of Abram. Him and his wife would have many children and stories. As many children as there were stories in the sky. But eventually, when Abraham was a hundred years old, in seven ninety, they finally had a son. Isaac. Isaac became the father of the Israelites and the Jews. Arabs and Jews still have so much conflict today. All because some people decided to rush God's plan and do it their way. I don't think starting my summer bucket list now is worth that kind of drama. I'll just wait patiently.

SPEAKER_03

That's a great reminder, Meg. You know, we're we're almost at the end of the school year. And you might be thinking, what am I gonna do this summer? What is that gonna be like? Well, Jeremiah 29, 11 says this. It says, For I know the plans I have for you, declares the Lord. Plans for welfare and not for evil, to give you a future and hope. You know, God was like talking to the people of Israel, but I think he's talking to us too. God has a plan for you. For this summer, which might feel like a lot of unknowns, but also for your life. His plans for welfare, not for evil, to give you future and a hope. Now that's not as the world gives it. Sometimes we we think that those things should be connected, and that what the earth and what our world says is great, that that's what God is gonna give us. That's not what he gives us. He gives us things like peace. He gives us things like hope. And that's a blessing to have. And so have your eyes open, be looking for where God is moving. And the more you look for that, the more you're gonna see it. But it's a promise from the Lord. So as you go into this summer, be looking for that. And God has an awesome plan for you this summer. He's preparing you for his path for your life, for your future. So let's pray that God will help us. Heavenly Father, as we head into the great unknown of the summer, Lord, let us rest in you. Let us trust you, Lord, because you have plans for us. And they aren't plans to harm us. Our plans for our good. Plans for hope. So Lord, give us the eyes to see, and the ears to hear where you're moving. It's in Jesus' name we pray. Amen. Alright, you have an incredible day ahead of you today. You have Bible, science, spelling, history, English, social studies, and a whole lot more. But remember, today is gonna be a great day.
