SPEAKER_03We got an incredible show for you today. We have announcements sports updates. Bible with me. A whole lot more. So buckle up those seat belts and don't turn to that die. Because remember, today is gonna be a great day. Let's kick it off with some announcements. First day of school is today. Welcome back. We have missed you all summer long. We've been preparing for you, praying for you, getting everything ready. Your teachers are so excited to have you here. But now it's time for the dice section of the show. We have Weather with Rick.
SPEAKER_02Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, weather today, high 87, low 67, heartless honey and human, the scattered thunderstorms. Yes. Brace yourselves.
SPEAKER_03Oh man, alright, now it's time for the most educational part of the show.
SPEAKER_04We have squirrels.
unknownActually glowing blue or green under ultraviolet light.
SPEAKER_03Those are all some pretty cool animals, just in general. But they glow different. God's creation is incredible. He makes all things to glorify him. He made us in his image, but he made platypuses glow under ultraviolet light for some reason. But people that'll be gonna be glowing like they're under ultraviolet light today because it's their birthday!
SPEAKER_01We're gonna hit some summer birthdays really quick. In July, Amelia Mamry, Marla Mayrie, Grayson Harvey, Harrison Williams, Amelia Vine, Happy Bamley Sales in Julie Baby. Professor Faith the Love and today, Eaton Cameron. It's your birthday. Happy birthday to love it.
SPEAKER_03Take a song, do a dance. It's your birthday. God gave you life. What a blessing. Now it's time for everybody's favorite monkey. We have Bible with Mick.
SPEAKER_00And morning, Mr. Holland! I'm so excited about the first day of school. I can't wait to see everybody in their new classes, writing with your sharp pencils and perfect erasers, and coloring with that fresh box of crayons. It's like a new beginning. And since it's such a special day, I've got a magic tip for you.
SPEAKER_01Okay, what do you got?
SPEAKER_00I have a dog. And now with a little knock it twice. And then now you need a knock twice.
SPEAKER_04All right.
SPEAKER_00And then I'm going to knock it two more times.
SPEAKER_03Where's the bottle girl?
SPEAKER_00Sometimes they're excited. Sometimes something might be scheduled. Just like I saw my brother.
SPEAKER_03That's a great reminder, Mike. God is in control. You know, this week this year. Our our verse, our school verse for the year. And it's exciting because we're doing it as our deep thoughts verse on the first day. Is from Galatians 5 1. And it says, For freedom, Christ has set us free. Stand firm, therefore, and do not submit again to a yoke of slavery. You're gonna hear a lot about freedom this year. You probably heard a little bit about it last year or this summer. America is celebrating its 250th anniversary. And we have been given this incredible gift of freedom, but it didn't just start with America. You see, Christ set us free from our sins. And when I was your age, I was like, I don't know what that means. And I still am kind of figuring out what does freedom mean, but I will tell you what it isn't. It's not just getting to do whatever you want. Because that's gonna lead to slavery. And we could talk about that for a long time. We only have a little bit of time here on the show this morning. But I will tell you that freedom it sets you free to choose the good. Instead of just being afraid and scared to make a mistake because you'll get in trouble and have punishment, we want you to love what is good. We want you to love truth, we want you to find beauty in it, and we want you to choose that because we know that if we can cultivate your affections, if we can teach you what is true, good, and beautiful, and have you delight in those things, that you will be free. And we're set free through Christ. See, we would be enchained by our sin without Him. But God set us free from the eternal consequences of our sin. But He also gave us grace so that we could love rightly, so we wouldn't have the desire, the same desire to sin. That He would change our hearts, that He would give us new hearts, and He would help us to love rightly. And that's where real freedom comes from. So that's what we're gonna be talking about all gear this year, and that's what we're gonna be seeking after. And we don't want to submit ourselves again to slavery. We want to stand free in Christ. So let's pray. Heavenly Father, bless us. Lord, we are so grateful for another school year. 33 years of Province Academy, we are grateful for. But Lord, let us have hearts that love rightly. Let us live in the freedom that you provide and help us to stand firm. But Lord, we can't do that on our own. But through the power of your Holy Spirit, we can. It's in Jesus' name we pray. Amen. Alright, you have an incredible day ahead of you today. You have Bible, science, spelling, English, history, and a whole lot more. But remember, today is gonna be a great day.
