SPEAKER_01So buckle up those teat belts and don't touch that dial. Because remember, today is gonna be a great day.
SPEAKER_03Let's kick it off with some announcements.
SPEAKER_01Drill day starts today, 8 30 a.m. Now, this is a time we just practice being safe, making good choices. We wanna be prepared. Some of it feels scary, but remember, God didn't give us a spirit of fear. He gave us a spirit of truth. And so we can rest in his truth, but we always want to be prepared no matter what happens. So that's why we do drill day. So you'll be hearing some loud alarms. Don't let that frighten you. We'll give you plenty of advanced notice. But now it's time.
SPEAKER_02Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, weather today, high 83, low is 67. Mostly cloudy and humid. A couple of thunderstorms in the morning, followed by a little rain in the afternoon.
unknownMs.
SPEAKER_02Dolvin, what do you call a man with a pole through his leg? I'm injured? No. Rodney.
SPEAKER_01Oh man. Alright, now it's time for the most educational part of the show.
SPEAKER_04We have Weird Science.
SPEAKER_01Yeah, whenever you see like rain on like a cartoon, it looks like a like a teardrop. But they really look more like hamburger patties. Uh and then they break apart and then they come back together and they it's really pretty cool. God's creation is incredible. Now, people, they don't want it to rain today because it's their birthday!
SPEAKER_03Some more summer birthdays, July 21st and 27th. Olivia McMurray, Usley Spencer, Ainsley East Step Jordan, Corson, Happy Backball, James, and Bacon Hoover, I gotta be a baby, the back day, John, Mr. Redman, out of the way, Christopher, California, Daniel, the coaster, and Mr. Randy all the door today, like this, and Colin Dennis.
SPEAKER_01It's your birthday today. Live it up, sing it song two days. It's your birthday. God gave you life. Alright, now we have everybody's favorite monkey. We have Bible with Mick.
SPEAKER_00Good morning, Mr. Holland. I'm drill sergeant, Mick the Monkey, reporting for a drill day. Rick, dropping ME50!
SPEAKER_01Oh, hold up, Mick. Rick, get up. It's not that kind of drill.
SPEAKER_00Drill is defined as the action of train and exercise. Rick, get back down there.
SPEAKER_01No, Mick, I mean, we're training. Rick, it's okay. You can stop. We're training in case of an emergency.
SPEAKER_00Like in case of aliens attacking?
SPEAKER_02Aliens aren't attacking. It's Bigfoot. He's the one we gotta look out for. All these woods.
SPEAKER_01Oh no. Guys, like in case of a fire or a tornado.
SPEAKER_00Oh, I remember now. So we can know what to do and not panic if a real emergency happens. You know what? We have other things we have to put into practice too. Like the fruits of the spirit. Love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, and self-control. These are things that even adults need drills for. I've heard people say jokingly, don't pray for patience because God will give you the time you'll need to practice patience. God gives us drills in real life to practice loving others and finding joy in little things and giving our anxieties to him. He gives us safe places to practice so that when a real emergency happens, like getting really sick or losing someone we love, we can respond in a godly way. So next time you're stuck in traffic or running late, maybe it's just a drill for you to practice patience and peace and love. Or when your little brother's really annoying, maybe it's a drill to practice kindness and gentleness and self-control. If we practice correctly, then we won't need to think about it doing a real thing.
SPEAKER_01That's a great reminder. Our deep thoughts first today really helps drive home the point of where our help comes from. When we practice all these safety things, we have to remember that the Lord is the one that cares for us. And that should be a great comfort to you. Psalm 121, 1 through 8. It says, I lift up my eyes to the hills. From where does my help come? My help comes from the Lord, who made heaven and earth. He will not let your foot be moved. He keeps you. He who keeps you will not slumber. Behold, he who keeps Israel will neither neither slumber nor sleep. The Lord is your keeper. The Lord is your shade on your right hand. What a blessing. God calls us to be diligent. He calls us to be wise, to make good decisions. But we're not dependent just on us. We're dependent upon the Lord, and he doesn't sleep or slumber. He's never taken a nap. He looks over us diligently and he loves us. What a blessing. So let's pray to him. Heavenly Father, thank you so much. Thank you for not forgetting us. Thank you for not resting on the job, Lord. Thank you for loving us so much and watching over us diligently every moment. So Lord, be with us here at Province Academy. Protect us. It's in Jesus' name we pray. Amen. All right, you have an incredible day ahead of you today. You have Bible, science, spelling, English, history, and a whole lot more. But remember, today is gonna be a great day.
