unknownMr.
SPEAKER_01Allen. A top study showed that six out of seven dwarves aren't happy.
SPEAKER_02Technically true! Alright, now it's time for the most educational part of the show we have.
SPEAKER_01Weird science. You've probably heard someone say, I'll be back in a jiffy.
unknownWell, a jiffy is a real unit in time. In physics, it represents the time it takes life to travel one centimeter in a vacuum. Which is approximately 33.3564 piloseconds.
SPEAKER_02That's fast. In a jiffy. God gave you the life. What a blessing that that is. And now it's time for everybody's favorite monkey. We have Bible with Mick.
SPEAKER_00Good morning, Mr. Holland. I got a backpack that's extra heavy today. It's weighing me down. Did you know people can sometimes cause us to feel a heavy load like this backpack? And the only way for me to let it go is to forgive them. See, Rick can sometimes be annoying to me. Sorry, Rick. Like yesterday he ate the last piece of banana bread again. And then this morning he made me leave to school. Rick isn't trying on purpose to make me mad, so I choose to forgive him. Every time you forgive someone, it's taking a weight off of your shoulders. I'm gonna open my backpack and take something out to show I'm forgiving someone.
SPEAKER_01It's a banana. Sorry, sorry about that.
SPEAKER_00I forgive you. I'll take another banana out to show that I'm Stop eating my bananas.
SPEAKER_01Were you gonna eat that?
SPEAKER_00I'm going to take out another banana out of my backpack, and this time don't eat these bananas are part of my object lesson. Stop eating all of them. I've already forgiven you three times just this morning. Luckily, I've got over a hundred bananas, so I can keep forgiving you, I guess. Matthew 18, 21 through 22 says, then Peter came up and said to him, Lord, how often will my brother sin against me and I forgive him? As many as seven times? Jesus said to him, I did not say to you seven times, but seventy-seven times. Some versions say seventy times seven. He's not saying that once Rick eats 77 or even 490 bananas that I have to stop forgiving him. He's saying that I should always forgive. Because the way that I forgive others is the way God forgives me. Matthew 6, 14 through 15 says, For if you forgive others their trespasses, your Heavenly Father will also forgive you. But if you do not forgive others their trespasses, neither will your Father forgive your trespasses. Trespasses is a big word for sins. So since I want God to forgive my sins, I should forgive Rick for his sins. And I will forgive him even more than 70 times seven, because he needs forgiveness.
SPEAKER_02That's a great That's a great reminder. And this week in our Deep Thoughts versus We're talking about peace. As a school year gets gets going and things get ramped up. Things happen. And we need peace in our lives. So Isaiah 26, 3 is a great reminder. It says, You keep him in perfect peace, whose mind is stayed on you because he trusts in you. I find that times that I get most anxious, most worried or concerned are times when I forget who God really is. It's when I'm focused on myself, focused on the problems that are in front of me, and I think that those problems are gonna overcome me. That he created me, that he has a purpose for me, and that he has a portion for me. Sometimes I worried, am I gonna have enough? Am I gonna have what I need? And God, God has a perfect portion for me. It may not be the thing that I wanted or I thought that I wanted, but it's what I needed. I can trust in him. And when I don't trust in him and I forget, that's when I get anxious. It's when I get scared, it's when I want to be in control. So if you're feeling anxious today, remember who God is. Keep your mind on him, and it's going to grant you peace. It's gonna give you peace that passes understanding. But when we take our minds off of him and we get distracted, we're we're we're without hope. We're without peace. So let's pray to him. Heavenly Father, thank you so much for being a God of peace. God, we confess that we take our mind off of you. We forget who you truly are, and we act out in fear and anxiety. And we don't trust. So, God, help us to trust you. Help us to rest in you and help us to find our peace in you. It's in Jesus' name we pray. Amen. Alright, you have an incredible day ahead of you today. You have Bible, science, spelling, history, English, social studies, and a whole lot more. But remember, today is gonna be a great day.
