Welcome to the night show, except in the morning radio edition where we're coming at you toward a live and kind of on your radio each and every morning. It's Thursday, August 27th, 2026. We have an incredible show for you today. We have announcements. And a whole lot more is a buckle up those seat belts. Don't judge that time. Because remember, today is gonna be a great day. Let's kick it off with some announcements. High school golf at Dandridge versus Lakeway today, middle school volleyball versus gray elementary, and varsity volleyball versus Marival Christian in the gym at 6 p.m. Come on out and support the nights. Oh, that's cool. Everybody wants to be a little bit taller. Just go to space. That's all you that's all you have to do. Good morning, Mr. Helen! Doesn't this smell nice? I found some incense that smells like lavender. I think there's enough smoke in here, though, to make it smell really nice already. Did you know that they burned incense and herbs in the temple of God back in Bible times? The priest was the only one allowed to see it because it was in the holy place of the tabernacle. But it was later put into temple worship, too. I imagine they needed to have that to cover up the smell of all the blood that was all over the altar. But incense is also used today in some churches and cathedrals. We can have incense in our classrooms and hallways and everywhere we go now without causing leaving a bunch of smoke because you don't have to burn this kind of incense. Psalms 141.2 says, Let my prayer be counted as incense before you and lifting up my hands as an evening sacrifice. It also says that prayer is like a sweet aroma to God. When I pray to him, I can ask for help. I can thank him and give him the glory for my many blessings. I can even pray for others and pray for guidance as I talk to others. Prayer is how we get to talk with God on a very personal level. It doesn't have to be loud and using a lot of big words. It doesn't have to be long and complicated. It can be silent because God hears our God. It can be private because God is always there. It can be simple and even short. God loves hearing our prayers. And God loves us so much that he wants to bless his long presence as well. So when you're praying to God, don't worry about who hears you if it sounds right. Just talk to God, because he's a friend to you. And he wants to hear from you. And all prayer is a sweet aroma to him.

That's a great reminder, Mick. God wants us to pray to him. What a blessing that is. We want to do it with reverent spirits and hearts, but he wants us to come before his throne. You know, this week we're talking about peace. And we've been talking about the peace that the Lord gives. But today we're gonna look at a different part of peace. So Romans 12, 18 says this. If possible, so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all. Sometimes you might find yourself just being a word I like to call cantankerous. People that find fault and find conflict everywhere they turn. And it's it's easy trap to fall into. A trap of discontentment. Feeling like you have to defend yourself at all moments in all spaces. And God says, if possible, it's not always possible. But so far as it depends on you, live peaceably with all. I think that I want to start by like looking at other people and saying, oh, they should be more peaceable. But God's like, no, start with yourself. Are there places that you can be more peaceable? Can you live more peaceably with your classmates? Or maybe it's your sibling? That's that's a tough one. Are they you feel like they're in your space and you are quick to jump where they make a fault and point things out? Or if you're a little sibling, do you bother your older sibling to get their attention? That's not living peaceably. If you're an older sibling, do you let your younger sibling get under your skin? And then do you lash out or quick to point out where they're bothering you or annoying you? That's not living peaceably. Let's let that step of peace start with us. Let's pray that the Holy Spirit will help us. Heavenly Father, we confess that we have not sought to live peaceably with all as far as it depends on us. So, Lord, give us patient hearts. Let us be quick to forgive. Let us be slow to stir up conflict or strife. Let us love each other and see each other the way you see us, made in your image. Fully forgiven and fully loved. It's in Jesus' name we pray. Amen. Alright, you have an incredible day ahead of you today. You have Bible, science, spelling, history, English, social studies, and a whole lot more.
