Welcome to the night show except for the morning radio edition where we're coming at you store to live and kind of on your radio each and every morning. It's Friday, August 28th, 2026. We have an incredible show for you today. We have announcements. Bible with me. And a whole lot more to buckle up those teat belts. Don't touch that dial. Because remember, today is gonna be a great day. Let's kick it off with some announcements. Middle school fall pep rally 810 in the gym. High school football versus Franklin Christian 7 p.m. at home. Come on out and support the nights. We've got inflatables, great food. It's a community-wide event. So even if you're in kindergarten, come on out and watch the football game tonight. Bring your family, bring your friends. It's just a great time for us to get together. You get to see the choir sing the national anthem and the drumline and just all of the pageantry that happens in a high school football season. It's just it's a good thing to be a part of. But now it's time. For the diceyest section of the show, we have Weather with Rick.

Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, weather today, partly cloudy. High 82, low 63. I just named my toilet gym. That way, everyone's impressed when I tell them that I go to the gym first thing in the morning.
SPEAKER_02
Oh man. Alright, now it's time for the most educational part of the show.
SPEAKER_03
We have weird sides, effects, sloths can slow their heart rate and stay underwater for up to 40 minutes.
SPEAKER_02
Whoa, that is cool. I didn't know that. That's a man. I liked sloths before. Now I'm kind of scared of them. 40 minutes is a long time. You can hide underwater and nobody knows you're there. People that are not gonna be feeling slothful today, they're gonna be high energy, ready to go because it's their birthday! Claire Underwood and Finley Davis. Your birthday's today, and then tomorrow, Jack Cleaver, Tiago, Garcia Archibald. Happy birthday. Shepard Raining. Happy birthday. Sing a song, do a dance. God gave you life. What a blessing that is. Now it's time for everyone's favorite monkey. It's Bible with Mick.

Good morning, Mr. Homan! I got an experiment for you today. In this cup I have some hot water, and I've dumped a whole box of jello in it. And I mix it really good so that the sugar's all dissolved. Now here I have some ice water. So I'm gonna use a syringe to suck up some of the jello water. And now I'm gonna squeeze the jello mixture into the ice water.
SPEAKER_02
It's like a little worms.
SPEAKER_00
You can pull down.
SPEAKER_02
It's like gummy noodles.
SPEAKER_00
So this experiment isn't just to make a yummy tree. It shows how when our hearts get cold, they harden. The Bible talks to it talks a lot about people with hardened hearts. No matter what kind of mood we put it in, it will just change the shape. But when we lose compassion, we lose that word. We become more hard. We complain and think the worst of people. God wants our hearts to stay soft with compassion and not cold with rebellion. Put on men as God's chosen ones, holy and beloved, compassionate hearts, kindness, humility, meekness, and patience, bearing with one another. And if one has a complaint against another, forgiving each other. As the Lord is forgiving you, so you must also forgive. And above all, these put on love, which binds everything together in perfect harmony.

What a great reminder. You know, this week we're talking about peace in our deep thoughts verse. So today's deep thoughts verse is from Colossians 3:15. It says, And let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts, to which indeed you were called in one body and be thankful. You see, at the beginning of the week we talked about how we could trust God and peace was his to give. And then we talked about how we could have peace with each other by choosing peace in our relationships, but peace in our hearts. That's a choice. We it says, let the peace of Christ rule in your hearts. I mean you can choose not to. You can choose not to let the peace of Christ rule in your heart. And you could have turmoil, trouble, and rebellion and anger and frustration. You could let those things reign. But God says, don't do that. Let peace, the peace of Christ rule in your hearts. Because we're all part of one body. And then he he the my favorite part is he gives the anecdote at the end. It says, and be thankful. I I have a practice where I like to write down all the things I'm thankful for each morning. And I started doing that a couple years ago. And I thought it was silly at first. Someone was like, hey, you should write down, write down what you're grateful for. Uh that you're grateful to God that He's given to you. And I was like, that kind of sounds silly. But I was like, I'll try anything. And it changed everything. Because that's the anecdote to ingratitude and fear and anxiety is being thankful to God. And that lets the foothold of peace, the peace of Christ, start to rule in your heart. So let's pray to him. And I want you to think of some things that you're really grateful for. And just think of those things in your mind. Heavenly Father, we are grateful. We are a grateful people. Thank you so much for all that you've given us. Lord, help us to not forget that. Lord, help us to choose to let the peace of your Son Jesus rule in our hearts. Lord, you called us together as one body. But Lord, we can't do that with anxiety and fear and letting those things reign, Lord, but we can. If we choose to have, to be thankful, to let your peace rule in us. Lord, that will unify us. That will bring us unity in our classrooms and in our school and in our homes. So Lord, help us. It's in Jesus' name we pray.

Amen.
