SPEAKER_01
Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, weather today. Most of the sun ain't hiding a low 67. Did you know that the world's longest drum solo was 8 hours and 17 minutes? Really? Yeah, it was performed by my upstairs neighbor last night.
SPEAKER_00
Oh man!
SPEAKER_03
Alright, now it's time for the most educational part of the show we have.
SPEAKER_01
Weird science.
SPEAKER_02
Frogs can freeze solid in winter and come back to life in spring.
unknown
Wow.
SPEAKER_02
God's creation is incredible. If it gets like even a little chilly in my house, I feel like I freeze solid. But frogs go actu absolutely solid and they come back to life. But you know who's gonna be frozen today? Nobody! Cuz it is nobody's birthday! Yesterday! There's a bunch of birthdays today!
SPEAKER_03
That was a I almost missed that one. Mina Thomas, Kristen Sullivan, Chloe Magnus, Joseph Stern, my eggball, and Mrs. Brown. Happy birthday today. Lots of birthdays today. Happy birthday. Lots of birthdays today. Happy birthday.
SPEAKER_02
Happy birthday. It's your birthday. What an awesome thing. What a great thing to celebrate. I don't sometimes I'm like, do we celebrate enough? I sometimes that we take for granted. I even think about my drive into school and how beautiful it is. And sometimes I just miss it. What a weird, what a weird thing to have all this beauty, all this great stuff to celebrate. And sometimes we just we get numb to it. It's best just to remember, celebrate. If it's a beautiful sunrise this morning, thank the Lord. What a creator. But now it's time for everybody's favorite monkey. We have Bible with Mick.
SPEAKER_00
Good morning, Mr. Helen! At all me's blocking granny key's at it. I've been trying to build the tallest tower I can. But every time it gets in the last few blocks, it falls down.
SPEAKER_02
That's okay, Mick. Keep trying. I know you can do it.
SPEAKER_00
Okay. These blocks are pretty. Let's see if this one's better.
SPEAKER_02
Getting pretty tall.
SPEAKER_00
Three blocks left.
SPEAKER_02
You were so close, Mick. That's a good idea. Examine the blocks for a stronger base. You're pretty clever.
SPEAKER_00
This one has a chip in it. Maybe if I put that one on the top.
SPEAKER_02
There you go. Be careful. I know you can do it. What makes I know you can do it?
SPEAKER_00
I was about ready to give up, but you wouldn't encourage me to keep going. I was building up the tower. You were building me up town. Just like first testimony in front of the women's voice encouraged one another and build one another. When we have that children, it just feels natural to be encouraged. Thank you for encouraging me, Mr. Howling. If you see someone who seems frustrated and sad, you can do that too.
SPEAKER_02
That's a great That's a great thing. Be encouragers of each other. It's easy to be a discourager, point out where someone could have done something better. But it's better to be an encourager. To help people, to see what they're doing right, and give them positive words. What a blessing that is. So today's Deep Thoughts verse is 1 Peter 1, 6 through 7. It says, In this you rejoice. Though now, for a little while, if necessary, you've been grieved by various trials. So the detested genuineness of your faith. So sometimes we rejoice. And sometimes we have trials. And you know, I I love times of rejoicing. But sometimes in times of rejoicing, I forget. I forget who is responsible for all the joy. Sometimes I look to myself and I think, what a great job I'm doing. And I forget that it's the Lord that sustains us. So sometimes we go through times of trials. And what that does is it tests the genuineness of our faith. And what it does for me is it points me to who's actually in control. Usually in my times of toughest trials are the times that I draw closer to the Lord. Now I hope that as I grow and as I age and as I mature, that I won't need trials to draw me to the Lord. But that's his portion for me now. When I go through difficult times, it's a reminder to turn to the Lord and to not curse the trials. Trials are difficult. Trials can be painful, but they're for the glory of the Lord. They're ultimately for our good. So you're going through a hard time right now. Maybe adjusting to school has been tough. Maybe somebody, you or someone in your family is going through some sicknesses. Or a transition that's just hard. Use this time. Help that direct your heart and direct your eyes and your mind towards Christ. And use this as a time to depend on him more fully. Use this as a time to really, because you can trust him. Use this as a time to really test him. Because he is faithful. So lean fully upon him. Call out to him during a time of trial. So let's pray that the Holy Spirit will help us to do that. Heavenly Father, we confess that sometimes during the good times, we forget you. And Lord, these trials, Lord, they call us back to you. So Lord, let us rest and be patient in times of trials. Let it be a testing of our faith. Let us lean more fully upon you. It's in Jesus' name we pray.
SPEAKER_01
Amen.
SPEAKER_02
All right, you have an incredible day ahead of you today. You have Bible, science, spelling, history, English, social studies, and a whole lot more. But remember, today is gonna be a great day.
