SPEAKER_01It's Thursday, September 3rd, 2026. We have an incredible show for you today. We have announcements. Bye boys make the with the whole lot more is a buckle up those seat belts and don't touch that dial. Because remember, today is gonna be a great day. Let's kick it off with some announcements.
SPEAKER_03PA screening day, pre-K, kindergarten, second, fourth, sixth, and eighth. Hearing, vision, and speech. So we're gonna just check, check, make sure everything's going all right. This is a great way to realize oh, hey, I've been really struggling with math because I can't see the board and you don't even realize it. And just having some glasses will fix it and you'll be right as rain. Or maybe, hey, I need I need a little help in a couple of different areas. This is a way we catch those things and get you the help that you need. And the funny thing is sometimes I I have glasses and I didn't even know I needed glasses until somebody told me. And then when I put them on, I was like, whoa, I can see so much. So praise the Lord for just the people that come and help, and God giving us wisdom to understand how all that works. Also, high school, Dover Gorge Retreat continues, and then tomorrow night, Friday night lights under the lights, come on out and support the nights. But now it's time for the dice section of the show. We have weather with Rick.
SPEAKER_00Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls. Weather today partly cloudy, high 87, low 64. Mr. Holland, what do you call a fish wearing a bow tie? Uh huh. Sophisticated.
SPEAKER_04That's the second time I've done that this week. I pushed the wrong button.
SPEAKER_03I hope it didn't scare you. Alright, now yeah, for the most educational part of the show, we have weird science.
unknownA cloud can weigh over a million pounds.
SPEAKER_04The water droplets and an average cloud can weigh more than 1.1 million pounds.
SPEAKER_03That's crazy. That they're that big and they weigh that much, but yet they float. I don't I don't fully understand that. I'll be honest with you. I don't I don't get it. I don't know how it works. I could probably think somebody, Dr. Machete could probably tell us. There's lots of smart people that could that really understand that, but man, God's creation is amazing.
SPEAKER_02But people that are gonna be not weighing a million pounds, but maybe a little bit more after that because they ate so much cake and ice cream cubs. It's their birthday! Henry Turbofeld and Hudson Ball.
SPEAKER_01It's your birthday. Live it up, sing a song, do-dings.
SPEAKER_03It's your birthday. God gave you life. Happy birthday! What a great thing to celebrate. Alright, now it's time for everybody's favorite monkey, because we have Bible with Mick.
SPEAKER_05Good morning, Mr. Haling! I was watching a nature video yesterday about sea lions. Sea lions are so cute. They're kind of like bigger seals, but I learned that a sea lion can close their ears. Isn't that fascinating? They have external ear flaps that cover their ears when they're underwater to keep the water out of their ears. You would think that closing their ears underwater would make them not able to hear very well. But they actually can hear better underwater than out of the water. Because sounds can travel really far in water. Anyway, think about hearing God's words. And the parables a lot of those who were listening to understand God's word. But the ones who didn't listen, they wouldn't they would be completely confused. Listening isn't just hearing. You have to understand what you're hearing. I can hear some someone speak another language, but I'm not going to listen to what they say because I just don't understand it. After speaking the parable of the sower of the seeds, Jesus said, He who has ears, let him hear. Jesus wanted everyone to listen closely. He doesn't want us to close our ears like a sea lion. He wants us to open them up to his word and search the scriptures daily so that the mysteries and the parables can be explained and taken to heart. It's super cool that sea lions can close their ears. But we should keep our ears open to the word of God.
SPEAKER_03This this week, in our Deep Thoughts verses, we've been talking about going through trials, going through hard times. What do you do with it? How do you respond? Because hard times are coming. So today's Deep Thoughts Verse is from Romans 5, 3 through 5. It says, not only that, but we rejoice in our sufferings. Knowing that suffering produces endurance. And endurance produces character. And can character produces hope. And hope does not put us to shame. Because God's love has been poured into our hearts through the Holy Spirit who has been given to us. You know, I there's probably some parents that are listening to this. I always wanted to protect my children from suffering. And a year or so ago, the Lord was like, you gotta, you gotta not do that. You gotta let suffering happen to your children because you want hope for your children. I desperately want hope for my children. And so the Lord was showing me this verse and was like, hey, you've gotta. You gotta be okay with them suffering. You have to be okay with the suffering and portion that I have for them in their life, because I have a great work to do in them. And that's hard for us. Uh that that kind of goes against everything in my being. Um But God's truth can't be ignored. And so when we go through suffering, we have to know that it produces hope. There's there's some steps that take to get there. You gotta produce character, and that's hard. But character produces hope. And you gotta have endurance to get there. If you have suffering and then you just lay down, well that doesn't do it. You gotta have endurance. And then after you have endurance and suffering, then you gotta have character. You gotta be thinking, okay, what who do I wanna be? How do I wanna respond? After I've been enduring this for quite some time. And then you realize on the other side of that there's hope. And hope does not put us to shame. So let's pray to the Holy Spirit that He will help us. Heavenly Father, help us. So we confess that sometimes when we face suffering, we want to lay down or we want to get out of it. Or we don't, we want to avoid it at all costs. Or we want to avoid it for those that we love and those around us. But Lord, give us the courage to trust you and to trust your word and to have endurance when we're suffering. Lord, let us produce character. And Lord, let us have hope. But Lord, with that, if we don't trust you, if we don't have courage, we're gonna get down to those things. So, Lord, help us to trust your word. It's in Jesus' name we pray. Amen. Alrighty, you have an incredible day ahead of you today. You have Bible, science, spelling, history, English, social studies, and a whole lot more. But remember, today is gonna be a great day.
