Welcome to the night show except in the morning radio edition where we're coming at Just Toto Live and kind of on your radio each and every morning. It's Friday, September 4th, 2026. We have an incredible show for you. Today we have announcements. What's up? And a whole lot more.
SPEAKER_01
Buckle up those seat belts and don't touch that dial. Because remember, today is gonna be a great day. Let's kick it off with some announcements. Are you ready for some football? Tonight, 7 p.m. The Knights will play Eagleton. Also, we've got a long weekend coming up. No school. It's Labor Day. I don't even know what we're celebrating on Labor Day. We're just not laboring. That's what we're doing. So take some time. Enjoy with your family. It's also like the first real, like the first big football weekend. So that's exciting. Of course, I went to the DSU game last weekend. Go bucks. But this is just a great time to spend with family, spend in God's creation, get some rest and come back ready next Tuesday to go do everything that we can with what God's given us. But now it's time for the dicey section of the show. We have weather with Rick. Ladies and gentlemen, boys and girls, weather today, pot like laddy, high 84, low 64. Mr. Holland, do you know what's odd? No, what? Every other number. Technically true. As always. Now it's time for the most educational part of the show.
SPEAKER_00
We have weird science facts.
SPEAKER_01
Rainforests are not the biggest oxygen makers. Phytoplankton, sea tiny tiny bacteria sea make most of the earth oxygen. Wow. Phynoplankton. I don't know if I if I've seen some like one time I was at the in the ocean and it was at night, and when you stirred the water, the uh it lit up because it had this like iridescent algae, and when you stirred it, it it it lit up. Anyways, God's creation is incredible.
SPEAKER_02
The ocean provides a lot of oxygen, people that are gonna be using that oxygen to blow out the candles on their cake because it's their birthday! Emery Chester's today and tomorrow. Miles Harrington and Charlotte Flores.
SPEAKER_01
Happy birthday!
SPEAKER_02
Live it up, sing a song, Juveny.
SPEAKER_01
God gave you life. What a blessing that is. Now's time. For everybody's favorite punky, we have Bible with Mick.
SPEAKER_00
Hi, Matty Holland! I be Captain Mick, the pirate monkey, and I'm after me, pirate treasure. Seven meeters! So you land tobbers have found it first! Oh fight you for me, go with the blues! Unguard me, Hardy!
SPEAKER_01
I don't have a treasure, Captain Mick. I think there's maybe what is after my own.
SPEAKER_00
Yes! I have searched the seven C's for my treasure. And three sea blues.
SPEAKER_01
And then I I don't want any trouble. You can have it, but uh at least can I at least take a look at it?
SPEAKER_00
Let's crack it open. Open it up first, me.
SPEAKER_01
Someone really stole the treasure. All they left was this cheap plastic mirror.
SPEAKER_00
Ah me, I think the mirror isn't the treasure. But the treasure can't be stolen.
SPEAKER_01
Man, see he's a funny-looking apartment. I just see myself.
SPEAKER_00
And when I look, I see myself. Deuteronomy 76 says, For you are a people holy to the Lord your God. The Lord your God has chosen you to be a people for his treasured possession. Out of all the peoples who are on the face of the earth, we are God's treasure. When we become part of God's chosen people by accepting Christ into our lives, we become a treasure worth more than any gold or silver. We were worth so much. He paid the tremendous price of his son's life for us to be adopted into his family. We are God's prized creation.
SPEAKER_01
What a what a great reminder. You know, this week we've been talking about going through trials. What do you do when things are hard? What does he do when things get tough? Today's deep thoughts verse is Hebrews 12 7. It is it says this. It is for discipline that you have to endure. God is treating you as sons. For what son is there whom his father does not discipline? That's so true. It's so important. You know, your parents probably discipline you. Your teacher here disciplines you. And we do that because we love you. It's not because we just enjoy being mad at you. We don't. We enjoy making you do certain things or having punishment for you. That's not an enjoyment piece for us. But we want good things for you. And we know that if there's not discipline in your life, that you will have so much destruction. You won't be able to be the person that God has designed you to be without discipline. And discipline's painful. It is designed to not be comfortable. And the Lord disciplines us. Because God's treating us as sons. And so if God's disciplining you, it's because he loves you. And he's trying to direct your life so that you'll be blessed. So when I'm going through a hard time, and God's correcting me and He's disciplining me. It's hard to do it in the moment, but you have to be grateful and say, God, you're changing me. You're growing me, and this means you love me. Because when once God, if you look through God's word, anytime God says, I'm just gonna give them over to their sins, I'm gonna quit disciplining them, that's when the real bad stuff starts to happen. And so we have this discipline in our lives. So you may be going through a hard time, and sometimes, like times are just tough. The rainfall falls on the just and unjust. Not all bad things that happen are discipline, that is for sure. But sometimes you might be going through something and it's and it's discipline. And use that to say, okay, I'm gonna endure this discipline, and I'm gonna use it, and I'm gonna be grateful for it. So let's pray that the Holy Spirit will help us to have the wisdom to know when discipline is happening in our life. Heavenly Father, give us wisdom. God, we we can often be a stiff-necked people. That means that we just we just don't want to do what you want us to do, and and you have to discipline us. And Lord, the authorities that you placed in our life discipline us. So, Lord, give them wisdom as they apply it. And Lord, give us wisdom and joy and pure hearts when we endure it. But Lord, thank you for treating us as sons and loving us enough to discipline us. It's in Jesus' name we pray. Amen. Alright, you have an incredible day ahead of you today. You have Bible, science, spelling, history, English, social studies, and a whole lot more. But remember, today is gonna be a great day.
