Welcome to the night show except in the morning or radio edition where we're coming at Get Sorda Live and kind of on your radio each and every morning. It's Thursday, September 10th, 2026. We have an incredible show for you today. We have announcements. Bible with me. And a whole lot more. So buckle up those seatbelts and don't touch that dial. Because remember, today is gonna be a great day. Let's kick it off with some announcements. Blue Ridge Classic Tournament starts today through Saturday. Games start at 3 p.m. on Thursday and Friday. Also, Varsity Girls Soccer vs. Elizabethan at home at 6:30 p.m. Come on out. Support the nights. Oh, don't forget, Friday night, game night. Big night. A lot of fun. So you there's all kinds of things. Just block out your evenings and spin them here in community. You're gonna have a great time. And now it's time for the dicey section of the show. Good morning, Mr. Allen! Give me just a second. Rick asked me to look over his notes here, and there's quite a lot to proofread. He forgot periods and capital letters, and I can't even read this word. Orbital?

Oh, okay. We'll check the spelling later. I've made some corrections here, but we'll look at them later. Maybe we'll talk about it now. Well, Ricky had great ideas. I just fixed some great words and spelling issues. But we all make mistakes. Don't get upset. You can learn from this. And I know next time it'll be much better. You know, this reminds me of a Bible verse. James 5, 19 through 20 says, My brothers, if anyone among you wanders from the truth and someone brings him back, let him know that whoever brings back a sinner from the wandering will save his soul from death and will cover a multitude of sins. I know this is a different kind of correction, but just like I had to correct Vic's notes from grammatical mistakes, we should correct others from sinful mistakes too. But we have to do it with love. Or they may not want to feel or feel that like they need to be corrected. Most people don't come asking for someone to examine them out of fear of judgment. We can point out our mistakes in a way so that they know they should change, but not in a way that makes them feel like everyone hates them. I'm not going to leave Rick alone with all these red marks on the paper.

That was a great reminder. I shouldn't fear the correction. Today's deep thoughts verse is from Psalms 37, 7 through 9. It says, Be still before the Lord and wait patiently for him. Fret not yourself. Intentionality evil. For the evildoer shall be cut off, but those who wait for the Lord shall inherit the land. This is a great verse. Be still before the Lord and wait patiently. Fret not. The more you worry about it, it says right here in God's word, it tends only to evil. Sometimes I joke that worrying must really work because 90% of the stuff I worry about never happens. But in seriousness, you have to be able to give things over to the Lord. We can be mentally and emotionally undisciplined. It's like you can be undisciplined with what you eat and just like devour a bunch of junk food and eat terribly and then you feel bad? Because you weren't disciplined in what you should be eating. It's the same thing with your thoughts and your emotions. You have to control them. You have to say, okay, I'm worrying about something that I need not be worrying about. I'm gonna change my thoughts on that. I'm gonna make a choice, and then I'm gonna use discipline to keep my mind in the right spaces. Because the the Bible says that if you're you're fretting and you're worrying, it really tends only to evil. And it kind of goes to fear, it goes to all kinds of unhealthy places. So trust in the Lord. Because we want to wait on him. Sometimes we want things to happen in our timing, and God says, no, this is this is my timing. That's hard to do. It takes practice, and it takes the power of the Lord and the Holy Spirit working in our lives. So let's pray to Him. Heavenly Father. We confess that sometimes we worry, we fret. We're not patient. We don't wait on you. And Lord, it brings about evil. So Lord, help us to have discipline in our thought life. Discipline with our emotions. Help us to be patient and wait on you. But Lord, on our own strength, we can't do it. But Lord, through the power of your Holy Spirit, each and every day we can. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen. Alright, you have an incredible day ahead of you today. You have Bible, science, spelling, history, English, social studies, and a whole lot more. But remember, today is gonna be a great day.
