Stephanie test:Did you get into The Chosen like so many people did? Well, I, I had a harder time getting into that series. I had a hang up, and it was all about the way they spoke. They were using today's vernacular rather than the vernacular used in Jesus time. And I thought, they wouldn't use today's vernacular. They would use The vernacular used, in Jesus's time. So, I joined the fan club late. But eventually I got there. And as the episodes went on, I grew to love The Chosen. When it came, eventually, to season four, I even appreciated that vernacular and its simplicity. There was one scene where it really touched my heart. It was at the very end of season four, and Jesus was getting ready to enter the temple. The city at the very beginning of the last week of his life. He had sent a couple of apostles in to retrieve a donkey. And they had done that. And you could feel the anxiety and anticipation. that the Savior felt, and he had his party of apostles outside of the city, and he said to them, I'm paraphrasing, will you join me in this mission? Simon Peter said, where else would we be, Lord? And when Simon Peter said that, it rang so true in my heart. Where else would we be? And I thought, yes, I would be there with you, Lord. I would be there with you. Then, time passed, and I was reading, in the Book of Mormon, in 3rd Nephi. And this is during the time where the prophets had predicted that there would be a Savior born, and He would be the Son of God in another part of the world, and the world would eventually crucify Him. at the time of his crucifixion, there would be earthly calamities, earthquakes, and great darkness. And it would overcome this part of the world in the Americas, and that's what was happening in the Americas, where the people lived where the Book of Mormon was happening. after this great calamity, there were some people that lived. it was foretold that Jesus would ascend to his father, and then descend and visit the people, the lost sheep. And those lost sheep would not just be in America, but some, but he would visit them in other parts of the world. But America's would be one. One group of lost sheep. he did visit them in the Americas. And I was in awe when this visit occurred. This is what the scripture says. It says this in 3rd Nephi chapter 11 verse 17. Hosanna! Blessed be the name of the Most High God, and they did fall down at the feet of Jesus and did worship Him. when I read that, I thought, is there a greater blessing than these people received, than to have been there in person and to have witnessed the Savior Jesus Christ? in person. Ah, what I, I wish I would have been there. That's what I thought. And then a thought entered my mind, and it was strong and sure, and it was this. You were there. where else would you have been? And I could picture myself, as an angel, in heaven, witnessing a miracle. My Savior, Jesus Christ, down on earth, approaching his people in the Americas as they surrounded him. Where else would I be on this glorious day that we awaited for for so long? And I was just one of a host of angels. I was there, and you were too.
