The Isaiah 43 Podcast
The Isaiah 43 Podcast invites you to behold the God who says, “Fear not, for I have redeemed you; I have called you by name, you are Mine” (Isa. 43:1). Each week, we walk slowly through the Scriptures, combining careful exegesis with the rich truths of Reformed theology. These reflections on the Holy Scriptures aim to ground your faith, comfort your heart, and lift your eyes to Christ—our great Redeemer, Shepherd, and Friend. Whether you come weary, searching, or eager to grow, you’ll find a steady place to rest in the promises of God.

Week 139: After Charlie Kirk: Christ, Persecution, and Hope
In the wake of tragedy, how do Christians respond? In this episode, “After Charlie Kirk: Christ, Persecution, and Hope”, we turn to John 10:31–33 where Jesus Himself stood under the threat of stones, accused for declaring what was true: “I and the Father are one” in John 10:30.
As our nation reels from the shocking assassination of Charlie Kirk, we face hard questions about faith, suffering, and courage. What does it mean to confess Christ as God when the world rages against Him and His people? Where do we find hope when anger and grief press in?
Together we’ll see that:
- Christ’s claim to be God is not only undeniable but unshakable.
- Persecution is not new — the church has always walked this costly road.
- Yet in the darkness, Christ shines as the Light the world cannot extinguish.
This is not the end of the story. The cross, the resurrection, and the coming return of Christ assure us that the wicked will not win and the meek will inherit the earth. Whether in national tragedy or personal sorrow, our hope rests in the God who conquered the grave and will come again to judge the living and the dead.
If you know Christ, be strengthened. If you don’t, hear this call: come to Him today. For only in Christ do we find peace, courage, and everlasting hope.
