Are you bringing movement and play into your day? If not, make sure you tune in to today’s show to find out how our guest, Angie Berrett, moved through trauma by finding the fun elements in healing.

Angie Berrett (she/they) is an Intuitive Movement Coach, Advanced Trauma Informed Yoga Instructor, Registered Nurse, and Stand-Up Paddleboard Yoga Instructor who understands the human body and how it works. She helps use play and movement to connect to their bodies, releasing stress, anxiety, depression and trauma.

After going from child abuse survivor to registered nurse to yoga instructor, she has spent much of her life caring for others. In 2017 she hit rock bottom and started on a journey to heal. Discovering playful ways of using movements helped her learn to listen to her body, overcoming her suffering in ways traditional modalities could not. Now, she helps others heal their pain, transforming their lives.

She is the Owner and Creator of Angie Berrett Movement, coaching people how to release stored trauma in their bodies while increasing energy, strength and flexibility. For her expertise, she has been featured in Psychology Today, Brainz Magazine, Authority Magazine, Bustle, Subkit, The Feisty News and NewsBreak, on The Bright Side of Life Podcast, Caregiver Chronicles Podcast, Wellness by Design Podcast, Billy Dee’s Podcast and more!

In this episode, you will learn the following:

  • How negative beliefs are a result of past trauma.
  • How movement and play can help you heal.
  • The importance of listening to your body and what it has to say to you.
  • How healing from trauma can have fun elements to it.
