In 2023, the Surgeon General released the findings of a study on “The Epidemic of Loneliness and Isolation.” Suffice it to say, the news is not good. While it is normal for people to experience seasons of loneliness (during transitions, moves, loss of a loved one, life changes etc.,), this study seems to indicate that despite our technological "connectedness," we now find ourselves more isolated than ever before. And from a mental health standpoint, loss of connection can result in a myriad of issues including anxiety and depression.
In this enlightening panel discussion, you will hear what our therapists are experiencing and what they suggest we can do to combat loneliness and isolation. Spoiler alert: it starts with changing our own habits.
