CTA Podcast
Critical Therapy Antidote was established in 2020 as a response to the rapid, uncontested and systemic encroachment of Critical Social Justice (CSJ) on the psychotherapy field. The purpose of its establishment was to provide a platform where those concerned about this ideological takeover can challenge these ideas in articles, share resources and find a network of likeminded professionals and laypersons. In March 2023, the CTA Podcast was launched by clinical psychologist, Jaco van Zyl, and marriage and family therapist, Christine Sefein-Wolk. The CTA Podcast aims to critically analyse the tenets of CSJ, to provide diverse alternatives to this ideology, and to reestablish the healing ethos of psychotherapy. Welcome to the CTA Podcast. We hope it will both stimulate and challenge you.

Cynical Therapies Book: Tim Courtois - CSJ Indoctrination in Sexuality Education
Tim Courtois, MA, is US-based Licensed Professional Counselor. He is qualified in narrative-focused trauma therapy and sexual health, and he specialises in issues relating to sexuality, including sexual abuse, trauma and sexual identity.
In this episode, we discuss how trendy ideology goes unchallenged in sexual health training. We talk about the introduction of ideological no-go zones in the psychology of sexuality, and the implications of these for clients and clinicians alike. We conclude with a necessary reminder that radicalisation is a human phenomenon, not belonging purely to the radical Woke.
