CTA Podcast
Critical Therapy Antidote was established in 2020 as a response to the rapid, uncontested and systemic encroachment of Critical Social Justice (CSJ) on the psychotherapy field. The purpose of its establishment was to provide a platform where those concerned about this ideological takeover can challenge these ideas in articles, share resources and find a network of likeminded professionals and laypersons. In March 2023, the CTA Podcast was launched by clinical psychologist, Jaco van Zyl, and marriage and family therapist, Christine Sefein-Wolk. The CTA Podcast aims to critically analyse the tenets of CSJ, to provide diverse alternatives to this ideology, and to reestablish the healing ethos of psychotherapy. Welcome to the CTA Podcast. Psychoanalysis gone rogue: The Holmes Report | with Dr. Lucas Klein - Conclusion
Dr. Lucas Klein is a clinical psychologist, psychoanalyst and former forensic psychologist. He is an author in psychiatric research, psychological testing and public health, and the owner and host of his podcast, Real Clear Podcast.
In this fourth and final instalment in a multi-episode series, Christine, Jaco and Lucas critically analyse the third and fourth chapters of the controversial, expensive and problematic Holmes Report on Racial Equality in American Psychoanalysis. We highlight the severe methodological limitations of this research and point out the poor analysis applied to its reported statistics. We conclude that repeated systematic errors in this report makes it untenable for further serious analysis.
