CTA Podcast
Critical Therapy Antidote was established in 2020 as a response to the rapid, uncontested and systemic encroachment of Critical Social Justice (CSJ) on the psychotherapy field. The purpose of its establishment was to provide a platform where those concerned about this ideological takeover can challenge these ideas in articles, share resources and find a network of likeminded professionals and laypersons. In March 2023, the CTA Podcast was launched by clinical psychologist, Jaco van Zyl, and marriage and family therapist, Christine Sefein-Wolk. The CTA Podcast aims to critically analyse the tenets of CSJ, to provide diverse alternatives to this ideology, and to reestablish the healing ethos of psychotherapy. Welcome to the CTA Podcast. We hope it will both stimulate and challenge you.

When A Professor and Student Agree Pt. 2 | The "Woke" Takeover of Therapy Training
This conversation is Part 2 in a greater dialogue between Leslie Elliot Boyce host of the @theradicalcenter and CTA's own, Christine Sefein Wolk - In this conversation, Christine and Leslie discuss their shared experiences in the world of education, particularly in counseling programs that have been influenced by critical social justice ideologies. They reflect on the challenges they faced as both student and professor, including the pressure from students and the tension within academic environments.
Both speakers share how they coped with their circumstances and the evolution of their teaching philosophies, ultimately finding new paths in their careers, and organizations that provided them safe harbor to think freely. The conversation highlights the importance of open dialogue and the need for mindful approaches in mental health education.
