It's like it's sofa talk. He goes, yeah, but what are you going to talk about? I'm like I don't know. He's like you guys don't have it planned out. I'm like, no, I'm like that takes away from the spontaneity of whatever comes out of our mouth.

And then, obviously, like we've spoken about it before, I feel it's my civic duty to tell people that it's paddy like P-A-D-D-Y as opposed to P-A-T-T-Y, and like there's still people don't get it. And then yesterday, somebody sent me like a mess. It was a message on Facebook it's not a person I know either and she put up something Somebody was. It was actually funny. So we have this, you know buy nothing page for every. Every place in America has a buy nothing page.

So you get things for free.

So it's like it's a page that people give things away for free and you can get like some really good stuff and there's a whole bunch of lists. There's a list of rules and regulations, of things you can say and things you can't say. But people quite often give away really really good stuff. But there was this girl yesterday giving away rubber duckies that she had gotten for her daughter's birthday and she thought that they had shamrocks on them, but it turns out that they were marijuana leaves. Oh my gosh, she was giving them away and somebody else said oh, my daughter would love these because they kind of look like St Patrick's Day shamrocks. And I was like and then she put four leaves, four leaf clever is not the same as a shamrock, and St Patrick's Day is like a shamrock, not for leaf clever. So I had to kind of go oh, that's sweet.

So what is this day like in Ireland?

Well, okay, so traditionally it was a day. It's always the day of school, so it's a buying college day, so it's always the day of school and you always went to mass because it's like a saint's day.

So we're drinking on St Patrick's Day. We would always be allowed to drink on St Patrick's Day.

So you were allowed to break Lent because obviously most of the country not all of the country anymore, but most of the country were Catholic. So you were allowed. Yeah, jesus said you're allowed to break Lent on St Patrick's Day. So if you'd given up anything, you were allowed to have it. So if you gave up drink for Lent or you gave up sweets- or everybody was at the pub.

Yeah, yes, well, yes, and then like that, you know you had a very traditional meal. It was always like a ham. We never had corn beef. I never, ever in my life had corn beef till I came to America. But you know you would have a ham dinner and I feel like it was so nice to take it.

Cabbage potatoes. I can only eat that on a Ruben.

So when you first got here, were you just like these people, or nuts.

My mind was blown so I got to America. My very first day in America was February 10th, oh gosh, and I landed in Raleigh, durham and we did two shows that night and then on the Monday we moved to Baltimore, maryland. And I remember going to Bank of America in Baltimore, maryland to open my bank account and walking into the offices and seeing sham rucks are probably four leaf lovers everywhere and I'm like what is this? What are they doing? But like everything was completely decorated for St Patrick's Day in February, what is wrong with these people? Yeah, so that was my first day, right after Valentine's Day.

So yeah, that was my first experience. And then, like nothing really happens here in St Patrick's Day unless you're in a big city bar, or yeah, yeah, anything like that, so I don't think I can't remember where I was from my first. I don't think I was anywhere eventful for my first St Patrick's Day in America, and then we got to do the parade in New York one year, which is really cool because I never got to do the parade in. Dublin, so which is very late.

I was like, wait what you would think it would be amazing.

I mean, no, it's not like yours, it wasn't. We didn't have like it's gotten better over the years, like you know bigger productions, but a lot of it was the Americans coming over Looking for the leopard, comarcing in the band in their arid sweaters, and then it was like, really cool, we have I don't know what it's called here, but you had like group girls, kind of like cheer, but they were known as majorettes and they used to twirl back and forth and stuff. So that was really cool. And then you'd have like pipe bands and you always had Irish dancers, but I like never Irish dance. I was like stay to them. Little did I know that my life would become Irish dance.

But yeah, it was an awful lot of people being squashed on the streets and a lot of people vomiting, so I never really loved St Patrick's Day. To be honest, it was like just school.

I'm trying to think of what the the plant was that my grandmother used to get. I can't remember the name of it, it'll come back to me. But they were like maybe it was shamrocks, maybe they were real shamrocks she used to bring out. She used to live beside a Marcus in Dublin and she'd go to the local market and she'd bring out. They must have been shamrocks.

But do you know that in? So I was talking to Lion Creek Brewery the day before because the kids are dancing at us and they have their. They all have their big celebrations on Saturday for St Patrick's Day, because you never get as many people on Sunday, because St Patrick's Day is on Sunday. So I don't understand why we celebrate on Saturday. It must be to do with drink on a Sunday.

I think I was seventh grade and I was really nervous and we were going to Carnival and everyone had told me that because I was so worried, like is he going to? Like try to French kiss me? I don't ever kiss anybody and they're like no, he's like really shy, he's not going to. So I went to, just like I can tell he's coming up for the kiss. So I went to, like pucker up and just normal kiss and he like licked my face.

Yeah, so in the fifth grade, and we had just all you know, like everyone's talking about French kissing and like your, mouth is open and so somehow we were told that your mouth is like really open and so yeah, so me and this guy we can, and I mean guys like to this day, so like our mouths were like so wide open, oh my gosh, like a snake detaching, I know.

And I just remember like I kind of stepped back and I was like that is disgusting. And so then of course, years later, maybe one realized that you're not supposed to like. Open your mouth and just like is wide as you can Crash.

So you had these two little fifth graders thinking that we were so like grown up, and then we both were like, I mean, what was that? We're like, I don't like that. And then, yeah, so that was my. That was my first kiss, fifth grade, remember to this day at 52. 52 52.

His friends told me that if I didn't kiss him, he was going to break up with me and go out with Tracy Ann, and I was like, well, tracy Ann can't have him.

I have to sit in the car with her. They put a camera in the car right and I'll let her talk to her, and they call me on my phone and they give her directions over the phone in the car.

But I do sometimes think that it's used still as that crutch of okay, I don't have to pay you to go sit in the car, I'm just going to give you a, I'm going to call you on the phone.
