SPEAKER_00

Hello world, this is I'm no podcast. Today is Thursday, March 26, 2026. This is Home Intelligent Podcast with Top Right Fred from Intelligent. My name is Caleb Chase. What up?

SPEAKER_01

Doing good, bruh. Living the dream. How about you?

SPEAKER_00

Doing great, man. We got the sweet 16 kicking off tonight. Chase, who you got in the title? Actually, give me who you got in the final four.

SPEAKER_01

Uh so I'm blanking on my um on my bracket. I literally haven't really paid attention to college football like that this year.

SPEAKER_00

Basketball.

SPEAKER_01

Oh yeah. I haven't been paying attention to college sports in general the last couple years. So um, yeah, outside of a few like NBA draft subs and things like that. I don't know a whole lot going on this year, so I just picked up a lot of just off of just gut feeling. I did have Arkansas going to the championship. I do remember that much. So still feeling good about that one. But Villanova ruined my draft or uh my bracket like literally the first afternoon. I had them, I think, going to the sweet 16, I want to say. But yeah, niggas lost in the first round, so can't be helped. My March Madness was over pretty abruptly.

SPEAKER_00

I never I never filled out a bracket. Um, but um I got I got Duke and Michigan in the chip, but you know, those are the two favorites. Um so yeah, I got Duke in Michigan. Who knows what's gonna happen? I don't know what's gonna happen.

SPEAKER_01

I think I had because Duke plays the winner of uh Illinois tonight, right? Illinois Houston?

SPEAKER_00

Yep. Wait, I think no no no no no Arizona does. Arizona does.

SPEAKER_01

Ah, okay. Wait, yeah, I don't remember my full final four.

SPEAKER_00

Wait, no, no, no, no. Wait, no, actually, Duke and the I mean Illinois and Houston got lucky because they because they're supposed to play Florida, but Florida lost. So they're gonna play either Iowa or Nebraska. So that Illinois or Houston, honestly, whoever wins that game is gonna go to the Final Four, most likely.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah.

SPEAKER_00

Because they got an easy path in the Elite Eight.

SPEAKER_01

Truth be told, I want to say I had Illinois going to the Elite Eight or Final Four. I think I had them knocking off one of the big teams. I don't remember if it was Florida or Duke, whoever, but well, yeah, I mean they'd have to beat Florida to get there.

SPEAKER_00

So um well, Florida, Florida's out now, so it doesn't matter now, but that's who they would have had to beat.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, I forget what the matchup was, but I remember filling out my bracket and thinking like, hmm, I I think they could pull this off.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, it's funny. I I haven't watched Illinois all year, and the main reason is because I can't I I can't gamble on their games, so I just like I just like don't care. Wait, really? Yeah, uh Pritzer has this law to where you can gamble on college sports, but you can't gamble on college sports within within the state.

SPEAKER_01

That's interesting. That's yeah, that's weird as shit.

SPEAKER_00

It's it's and it's been that way since gambling got legalized. Um, you can't gamble on Illinois stuff. So like if I go on fan duel, the Illinois game isn't on there because you can't you can't gamble on it.

SPEAKER_01

That's so because like yes, people gamble on like just about anything, but like why wouldn't you want why wouldn't you let people gamble on their like local teams, you know?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I don't know. I'm not sure. Um, but it's only like that. It's only like that for Illinois though, because like I remember going to Missouri and being able to bet on like Missouri stuff, so it's like it's it's a specific Illinois thing, which I don't really get.

SPEAKER_01

You know what it is? It's probably uh motherfuckers trying to not face backlash from like Bears and Bulls fans betting their mortgage. No, this will be the year. The Bears got it, and now they're trying to like shoot up a bank or something.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I'm not I'm not sure to be honest with you. Um, but it's weird, but all right, let's get into it, Chase. Daredevil Born Again season two. Um, after the first episode came out on Tuesday night, um, you know, you're a little busy with your Dungeons and Dragons stuff. So I went ahead and so I went ahead and recorded an instant reaction to the episode. Um, so I'm gonna let you mostly talk about this. I do have a few more things to add, but what did you think about episode one for season two of Daredevil Born Again?

SPEAKER_01

It was good. I like how we uh picked up where we left off with action. I feel like that has been like an ongoing thing with this Daredevil series. Like they're gonna have a high high octane fight scene to start off the season, which I love. Gets me on the edge of my seat to start things fresh. Uh, we've got a lot going on within the city. BB is still playing the role of like double agent reporting on Kingpin. Uh prayers up for her, and um what's her friend's name? Kingpin's like project, Daniel. Daniel, yeah. Dog, I I don't know which one of them is gonna die first, but I'm getting death flags for both of them. Like motherfuckers was telling her to be careful. This man's a manipulator and shit. But uh yeah, I'm I'm worried for both of them. I don't know if I should be worried for uh maybe Trump supporter or whatever. But um yeah, as a character who has connection to one of the main characters and seems like a misguided kid, you know? I I don't want him to get caught up in the bullshit that Kingpin be doing, but I feel like that is what's gonna end up happening. So yeah, I'm not sure if it'll be him or BB first, but yeah. Um I like how we saw the whole DA situation, like the lawyers. I like how we do get to see the behind the scenes stuff for them too. It's not just focusing on Matt, we've got other uh legal executives making moves, and you know, some of them are shady and shisty. So yeah, we got a lot of different perspectives in this first uh episode. I'm really liking it and uh looking forward to seeing what we got in season two.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, man. I'm dumb, bro. When I recorded the episode the other day, like see this is so this is why doing instant reactions are dangerous, because like I literally watched the episode and then just started recording. Like, I didn't even give myself time to think about what I just watched because like the ending of the episode where you know the the anti-vigility guys rip off Matt's mask, and then you know, all those guys just die instantly. Um obviously that's bullseye, but after I watched it Oh, did you not pick up on that? Well, no, because after I watched it, my immediate thought was like, Oh, that was uh Jessica Jones, you know, because like we've seen her in the trailer, we know she's gonna be I was that was my instant thought. It was like, oh, that's Jessica. I I wasn't even thinking about decks.

SPEAKER_01

I mean, it's all my first thought was um Punisher. But then uh when you get the just like the knife with the your welcomes, like, all right, yeah, and uh Punisher, he would have had that whole apartment wrecked.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, yeah. Yeah, apparently Punisher's not gonna be in this season. Um he does have his um special presentation thing coming out after Daredevil was over, the Punisher special or whatever. Um, and then obviously he's gonna be in Spider-Man. Um but yeah, that was something I missed because I I I I was for sure. I was for sure that was Jessica Jones, because I mean I don't know if you heard, but Karen mentioned Jessica Jones earlier in the episode.

SPEAKER_01

Um, I did not catch that.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, she actually mentioned her by name earlier in the episode. Um some other stuff I missed. Um there's this there's this Mr. Charles guy. I don't I don't know who he is. Um the new guy that's coming in, played by a Matthew Leward. Um he he mentioned that he was like working with uh with uh Val, you know, um yeah, which to me, like I don't know how I don't know how I missed that. Like I went back and watched and I was like, oh shit, like this is like some connection right here between the Thunderbolts and Daredevil. This is we're getting some connectivity.

SPEAKER_01

Um yeah, and then another Daredevil, he strikes me as someone who could join them. I could see him working well with the Thunderbolts. I don't know why, but I feel like he would uh mesh well with that group.

SPEAKER_00

I don't I don't I don't think that's what's gonna happen. Um, but you know, who knows? It's it's it's it's just interesting to see that you know, like you know, we're getting shit from movies getting mentioned, you know, in this like current show.

SPEAKER_01

Um that's what uh MCU the universe is supposed to be. We're getting the continuity back, you know.

SPEAKER_00

I mean, I still have my doubts about that. Um we're getting some of it back, you know, like from Spider-Man, from the Spider-Man trailer. Um in this in the in the new Spider-Man trailer, um, you know, when they're giving Spidey the key to the city, um, that's Sheila. Um, that's Sheila from Daredevil, which I don't know if that's like a spoiler for this season, because like I don't think there's any way that she's giving him the key to the city and Fisk is still the mayor. Because you know, Fisk is right, Fisk is anti-vigilating, so I wonder like what's gonna happen. I wonder if like Fisk is gonna so he's gonna go to prison and then Sheila's gonna take over as mayor. Like, I don't know.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, he's someone's getting him out the paint somehow, some way.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, so I thought that was interesting. Um, I like the episode. I'm gonna be honest, bro. Like, I'm good on BB and Daniel. Like, I just but that that's those their storylines aren't working for me.

SPEAKER_01

Um interesting.

SPEAKER_00

Like, I'm cool on it. You know, I I don't know. I do find it is I'm fascinated by the whole BB and Karen thing, though. Like how like how Karen told her that, like, yeah, I'm the reason you know your uncle got killed. Like, I I found that to be like pretty interesting, and I wonder how that's gonna end up going. But as far as just like the whole BB report thing, like I like to me that shit just doesn't work. Like, I just don't care about it. Um, and then Daniel, like, I don't I I don't know, like Fisk having someone in his group that's this much of a dumbass just doesn't make sense to me. You know, like why like why is Fisk surrounding himself with this fucking idiot?

SPEAKER_01

No, I think it's a really good parallel. Like uh I know Disney usually tries to not be too political one way or the other.

SPEAKER_00

They got really political in this episode, man. The ice stuff was insane.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, no, this series as a whole, like, this is pretty much what Trump has been doing. And he's just not um in good enough shape to be crushing heads with his bare hands, you know? But like, yeah, no, if Trump was in the shape that uh Wilson Fisk is, yeah, no, it'd be the same exact shit in real life. So I I actually appreciate the having Daniel in there, Daniel and BB storyline, because it's this is how we got into this situation. A bunch of young, impressionable kids who are like, oh yeah, this guy he speaks his mind. I like the way he talks, and now you just have a bunch of people eating up this goofy ass shit. You know? So I think it's uh Daniel is a really good version of uh art imitating life, you know? We all know whether it's Gen Z or Millennial, some white person who's like, okay, you could be cool, but fuck, you you have these political views. Man.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, I don't know. I just like I just don't know what Daniel's bringing to it. Like, I don't like like like I don't I don't see why he's I don't know why he's needed. Um because like because you because you're like in like in the original like season one, you know, Fisk he pretty much just had Wesley, you know, you know, Wesley was his dude to you know run errands for him, you know, kill a motherfucker if he needed him to, you know, do whatever. And I mean he he has that with Buck, you know, like we seen we seen Buck kill another motherfucker this episode. Like to me, Buck, you know, he's he's ready for war, whenever, but yeah, I don't know. Like, I don't know, like if it came to if it came to all these motherfuckers fighting against the defenders, like like what's Daniel gonna do?

SPEAKER_01

No, he's definitely not there to be about that action or on the front lines, he's there more for like uh like emotional development. He he humanizes him. It's like uh like Vic in Penguin, you know? Everyone views him as like this monster, this kingpin, this crime lord. But then you have people who actually view him as like a hero, and like, nah, he came from similar upbringing circumstances to me. Like, I respect that guy. So yeah, he's he's that.

SPEAKER_00

See, it's weird though. Like, I agree with you, like the first part of season one, it was like that. But if season one went on, like he was only really there to like be friends with BB. Like, we really weren't even seeing him doing much with Fisk towards the end of season one, so it's I don't know. It's a weird, it's a weird character. Um, it's a uh it's a really weird character. Um but yeah, you know, I'm enjoying it though. I like I like this show. Um, next Tuesday, episodes two and three are coming out together. I don't know why they're doing it like that, but um, yeah, we'll get two episodes to talk about next week. Um all right, Chase. Man, some trailers came out these past few days, right?

SPEAKER_01

I'm being I'm sorry, before we uh switch off, uh what do you think about um Dear Devil's Friend? I'm blanking on his name, but uh at the end, he's basically having a heart attack.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, Cherry, I'm gonna be honest. I'm gonna be honest, like before that part happened, I was saying to myself, like, I kind of want this nigga to just get out of here. Because he's honestly he's honestly bringing nothing to the table either as a character, um, for me.

SPEAKER_01

Um, because like I mean he's kind of over uh Matt's shit, you know, so like he's not really trying to help him anymore.

SPEAKER_00

So that's what I'm that's what I'm that's what I'm saying. Like, is he supposed to be like is he supposed to be like the new like father Lantham? Like the guy Matt goes to for advice on this and that. It's just weird though, because like Matt goes to him for advice, but Cherry's advice is always, you know, don't be Matt Murdoch, don't do it with them, don't be Daredevil anymore, you know. Right. And like in the even in this episode, he was talking about how he was like wanting to be done with this and all this and that. And it's like, what's the point? You know, like if the character doesn't even like want to be involved in what's going on, like I don't like, I don't I don't know what he's bringing, like, yeah, he's a former cop, so he's helping in that aspect. Um right, yeah, I don't know. To me, I mean, I don't I don't think he's gonna it looked like he was dying. I don't know if he's gonna die.

SPEAKER_01

Um I kinda see, I was thinking he was, but with the way the episode ends, where like Daredevil didn't get captured, didn't uh get capped himself, I think he's gonna be okay. But yeah, had it uh ended with Daredevil getting knocked out and tied up or something, yeah, his heart would have stopped, I bet.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. Yep. I'm moving forward to the next episode, though. All right, um, yeah. All right, Chase. Some new trailers came out, bro. Like, you know, last time we got the Spider-Man and Dune trailers, and I was I was like really locked in. I was excited, I was happy.

SPEAKER_01

Um these ones now, bro.

SPEAKER_00

Like, I don't know, man. I don't I don't know where we as a society are going at this point in time, but um it's rough out here. Um Harry Potter, Harry Potter series is coming out this Christmas. We get the first teaser trailer. Um, you know, we see young Perry, you know, with his aunt and uncle in their house. Um, you know, we see him get the letter in the mail about Hogwarts. We see him eat Ron. I don't think we saw Hermione.

SPEAKER_01

Um yeah, Hermione was in there.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, okay, okay. Um, we saw we saw Hagrid, we saw Dumbledore. Um, I don't remember what the what the one lady, the older lady's name is.

SPEAKER_01

Um uh Professor uh McGonnell.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, yeah, whatever. We saw her. Um, what'd you think about this trailer?

SPEAKER_01

Uh I feel like they did a pretty good job with casting. Um like Harry and Ron look the part. Hermione's probably gonna catch some flack being uh biracial, but she also looks the part pretty well.

SPEAKER_00

Wait, Hermione's biracial? I guess I didn't see her in the trailer.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, she was in um the train scene with um when they were in the train car. But yeah, she's sitting next to Ron.

SPEAKER_00

Oh, oh, and oh, and also we saw uh Snape, who happens to be black. Um but go ahead.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, no, I was gonna say they're gonna need to have someone else like um like a somewhat main character also be black, because like y'all not finna do this. We I I'm on to you. I'm on to you, uh showrunners. If the main black character that y'all have is Harry's main op, get the fuck out of here. Like, serious black, somebody else gotta be actually black, man. But um, yeah, outside of that, it looks like it's gonna be pretty interesting. As someone who did read the books growing up, I feel like it being a TV show would probably uh lend itself better. It's been a while since I've seen any of the movies, but you can just uh you have more free reign to work with things in the story when you have multiple episodes versus like two and a half, three hours tops, you know? You get to trim less fat that way. So I feel like uh it being a TV series will do it well, but at the same time, the same way I feel about Moana, like these um movies haven't been around long enough to be doing reboots, man. That's my like biggest uh detraction from it.

SPEAKER_00

We'll get to Moana in a minute. Um but dude, this like I think they casted the kids well. Um maybe I'm just I don't know what it is, bro, but some of these other casting things were just kind of head scratching to me. Like the Hagrid, like like the Hagrid thing, like Yeah, I feel you.

SPEAKER_01

That Hagrid does not feel kosher, he does not feel right.

SPEAKER_00

Like, I don't know, like Hagrid with a British accent, like that shit just doesn't work for me. Haggard not being like super fat, that doesn't work for me.

SPEAKER_01

Um yeah, the skinny faced Hagrid. I yeah, you can I couldn't put my finger on what it was, but yeah, it was throwing me off.

SPEAKER_00

You you can clearly tell the beard is fake. Um, it look it just looks off. And you know, I don't know. The guy the guy that originally played Haggard, I mean I'm pretty sure that was a fake beard too, but I don't know. I should look because he was fat, it looked more real, it felt more real.

SPEAKER_01

Um, yeah, it worked for him.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, um the the uh the the Dumbledore guy. I mean, I I don't know. I don't really have any huge problems with that one.

SPEAKER_01

Um I don't really remember what Dumbledore looked like, but I feel like they did an okay job casting him. I remember I liked um McGonnell. I feel like they did a really good job casting her. She's like damn near she could be the original actress's little sister or something, and I believe it, you know. D man but Hagrid, yeah, I definitely wasn't a fan of that one.

SPEAKER_00

The professional McDonald one is tough. Like, she might be good. Like, I don't I don't know. I'm just so like to me, like that Maggie Smith playing that role in the original movies was that was just like per that was like perfect casting. Um and I don't know it's it's it's just gonna be hard for me to adjust to somebody new because like Maggie Smith, that was I mean, she's like one Oscars and stuff, but her as that character in the original movies was that was perfect casting.

SPEAKER_01

Um I feel the same way about Hagrid too. Because like you were saying, like the proper British accent is just like ah, you're you're clearly not someone who lives off like in the hillside of the school and takes care of the animals, you know? Yeah, you sound like a refined gent. All right.

SPEAKER_00

Now we got we we gotta talk about the elf in the room. Um the Snape thing, bro. Like, I'm gonna be honest, bro. I shook my head when this nigga showed up on the screen. Um, like, no disrespect. I don't know who this guy is. Like, I hear he's a really good actor from uh London or whatever. You know, I hope I hope he does a great job. I'm rooting for him, but same. But I don't know, bro. Like in the roads and movies, like Snape was like scary. Um like he was That's true.

SPEAKER_01

He wasn't give the same like intimidation.

SPEAKER_00

And I'm sorry, bro, but like some skinny he look I mean he looks kind of short, like some skinny, small, short black dude with dreads. Like, I'm sorry, bro. I just don't buy it.

SPEAKER_01

Like he also looks young too.

SPEAKER_00

I just don't buy it. I just don't buy it at all. Um I'm glad to see a brother, you know, get in that bag. Um and also, bro, I don't to me, like, look, man, yes, there needs to be more black roles for black people, but I'm sorry, bro. Like, right, like I don't want I don't want to come off as like some some incel on Reddit or something, but you know you know, like to me, to me, race swap, race swapping is cool, but I don't know. There's some times where I just feel like it just turns into like pandering, bruh. You know, I get that. It just feels like pandering sometimes, bro. Like to me, like this was not necessary. Like the Hermione thing is cool, but this I just don't feel I don't know. I don't know.

SPEAKER_01

Right.

SPEAKER_00

It's like what's the point? Like, I don't, you know, I don't know.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, I get it, man. Because it's like if it's not um central to the character or whatever, then yeah, no, go for it. Change it if you just go with the best actor who's gonna fit the role as well as possible. Yeah, I have no issue with that.

SPEAKER_00

And maybe he fit the role as well as possible. Who knows? He might be amazing as a snake, yeah.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, who knows, man?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, but my only big question about this is I'm just curious as like how they're gonna sequence it. You know, like is the first season gonna be the first book? You know, like I don't like I don't know how they're gonna sequence it. I'm really curious.

SPEAKER_01

I guess. But like also, it's literally called Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone, right? Or the Sorcerer's Stone?

SPEAKER_00

Philosopher. I fuck, I don't know.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, it is Sorcerer. Philosopher's Stone is from some other shit. That's uh different type of media, but um, yeah, if the series itself is called that, I wonder if they are gonna try to stretch the book into multiple seasons, like um like Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows had a part one and part two because they wanted to spread the book out. So like maybe they do that, but if you do that with the TV series, I feel like it's gonna be too slow. You know? Yep.

SPEAKER_00

Yep. Alright. Chase. Well, this Moana thing, bruh. What would you think about the Moana Moana trailer? You know, we're getting the we're getting the Moana trailer, we're gonna be getting a live action Moana movie on July 10th, same day as Demi's birthday. Unfortunately, I'll be going to see this movie. Um what would you think about this trailer?

SPEAKER_01

It's crazy because like this is way too like like I said earlier, like these movies are way too recent to be doing reboots on. So that's one of my biggest gripes with it. Oddly enough, I really enjoyed like what I was seeing from this trailer until the rock got on the screen. Like the CGI, the effects they're using for um the water, um, the rock shape shifting into animals, and even the you know, CGI pig and uh the little uh coconut demons they're fighting and shit, all that actually looks relatively good. The rock looks so fucking stupid in that wig, bro. I hate it. I hate it. And he just it worked when he was voice acting, but bro, this is like Beyoncé is Nala levels bad, bro. Like, I'm not yeah, I can't. I don't know if I can sit through two hours of this.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, man, it's tough. This is tough. Um, first of all, you're right. Like the original Moana came out 10 years ago.

SPEAKER_01

Um Yeah, that's insane, bro.

SPEAKER_00

And I'm I'm I'm just like, if we're doing this, like why is this the one that gets a live action when like like where's the Rapunzel live action? Where's the frozen live action? Right?

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, no, there have been other big movies like in that era too.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, like Rapunzel came out in 2010. Um uh frozen came out in 2013. Like, I don't know. Um, I will say this though, whenever they make a live action frozen movie, that's gonna be like the highest grossing movie ever.

SPEAKER_01

Oh, yeah, that shit's gonna do numbers.

SPEAKER_00

Like the numbers that's gonna put up is gonna be like Avatar numbers.

SPEAKER_01

That's gonna be Will Chamberlain numbers. Like I'll say though, bro.

SPEAKER_00

This show, like, it looked okay. I'm gonna be honest, bro. I hate The Rock. Like, I hate that nigga. Um, it's funny because, bro, like, it's funny because like he was like he was like my childhood idol as I was a kid. Like, I loved him, like he was so amazing in wrestling.

SPEAKER_01

Um, I was a triple H guy, but I still fucked with The Rock.

SPEAKER_00

Yeah. I I don't I'll say this, man. The thing I hate about him the most is like I hate how he like tries to force himself into everything. Um like if you remember after Black Adam came out, he was pretty much he was pretty much try he pretty much went to Warner Brothers and tried to force himself into pretty much being in control of DC. Um and I'm beyond that shit made me so mad, bruh. Because like he tried to force this like Superman and Black Adam rivalry, and I'm like, bruh, you're a fucking Shazam villain. Why are you trying to go head to head with Superman? Right, like he's the he's the reason Henry Cavill came back for that dumbass post-credit scene that ended up meaning nothing at all because Black Adam flopped. Um like I don't know, bro.

SPEAKER_01

I'm just also when I learned that um he also has it like written into his contracts, whatever role he's playing, he's not he's not gonna lose. So like that's why being Black Adam, uh typical villain, villain character, usually in most other versions of DC media he's appeared in. Yeah, no. He didn't want to take an L, and that's why Black Adam ends up being like this anti-hero by the end of it, and it's like, no, I get it. You are one of the biggest names in Hollywood, but who the fuck do you think you are, dude? Like, yeah, I'm like bro, Christian Bale has an Oscar, and he fucking lost in Thor. It's okay. Like, if anything, I might take you more seriously as an actor if you do have a um a really like well sold like defeat moment, you know?

SPEAKER_00

Yeah, man.

SPEAKER_01

So yeah, it's hard for me to take him seriously.

SPEAKER_00

It's tough, and then also, man, like like you're right, like the wig, it looks bad. It looks real bad.

SPEAKER_01

Um, we were talking about Hagrid's beard, bruh. The rock with that wig, man.

SPEAKER_00

And I'm and and I'm and we also talked to this about Hagrid too. Like, like, yeah, Hagrid in the original movie, he was like fat. And like Maui in the live action, like he's not so true. Yeah, he he's not like fat, but he's not he doesn't he doesn't look like the rock.

SPEAKER_01

He's your typical Pacific Islander, you know? Like they got the the sumo wrestler build.

SPEAKER_00

Yes.

SPEAKER_01

Yes, I'm chubby, but I'm also like yes, like I could smack the shit out you and break your jaw.

SPEAKER_00

Like I'm sorry, like like the like the actress that voiced Moana in the in the animated movie, she's not playing Moana in the live action.

SPEAKER_01

Um I kind of figured.

SPEAKER_00

But to me, the rock should have been like, you know what? I'm gonna sit this one out. I'm gonna I'm gonna find some I'm gonna find some young 300-pound kid from Hawaii to do this. Because I mean, like, we don't know how we're like we we don't know how Maui is, but he doesn't feel like old. He feels young. And like the rock in his 50s, so it's it doesn't feel right. Right, yeah. You know, it doesn't feel right. Um, and then also like the voice thing. Like to me, like the voice in the in the animated movie is so amazing, but when you throw it in live action, it just feels like bland. It doesn't it doesn't it doesn't feel right.

SPEAKER_01

Yeah, it don't hit the same, yeah.

SPEAKER_00

And and then and another thing, the reason why The Rock was like, you know what, I'll just stay in the movie, is because he's the reason this movie's happening. His production company, his production company is fucking a part of it. He's a fucking producer. Like, I don't know, bruh. Like, I just feel like he tries to force himself into everything, and I hate that shit.

SPEAKER_01

Now, yeah, from uh I forget where I saw it, but I'm pretty sure like this movie happened as quickly as it did because he wanted it to happen while he was still young enough to play Maui. And it's like, bruh, this ain't about you. It's really not you're not even the main character in the movie, man.

SPEAKER_00

That's the thing though, he made it about himself. I seen all these quotes by him talking about how you know with him being Hawaiian, how important this movie and story is to him, and this and that. And I'm like, bruh, I'm so it just doesn't fit. Um, and like I said, these Disney live action movies, like, they all suck. Um, like there's probably one or two that were okay, but for the most part, they all suck. But yeah, this movie's still gonna this movie's gonna make it's gonna make a billion dollars. Um, oh hell yeah. Like it's gonna make a shit ton of money, and we're probably gonna get another we're gonna we're gonna get Moana 3 animated movie, we're gonna get Moana 2 live action movie. Um which sucks.

SPEAKER_01

That's crazy. Yeah, those are gonna be coming out like around the same time. That's so ridiculous, dude.

SPEAKER_00

Which which sucks because Moana 2 sucks. Moana 2 sucks.

SPEAKER_01

It definitely wasn't as strong as the first one, but I I enjoyed it.

SPEAKER_00

That movie's the songs in that are so bad. Um, they're so bad. Um, but I'll give it to the lock.

SPEAKER_01

There's no iconic, uh not like the first joint.

SPEAKER_00

I'll I'll give it to the lock. He has a decent singing voice. Um, but yeah, he does.

SPEAKER_01

I will give him his props on that one. I was pleasantly surprised.

SPEAKER_00

Yep. But yeah, that was rough. But uh yeah, so that's coming out in July. Um yeah, all right, Chase. Next week we're gonna talk about Invincible. We're gonna talk about Daredevil. Um, we don't have much time, but Chase, just give us a quick little minute. You know, what are you thinking about uh Invincible so far?

SPEAKER_01

So yeah, so far Invincible's been really good. Uh picking up where we left off with uh Omni Man, still dealing with the Viltromites and their potential invasion. He's putting some things together as far as uh the first three or four episodes goes. And uh Mark and Eve are dealing with their shit down on Earth, they've got a lot of shit going on. Mark is going through some existential crisis type shit, and uh Eve is having issues with her powers, and like if they don't get that straightened out, like yeah, shit could be uh shit could be very critical because the way things have gone so far, we're uh we're down two of the two heroes in the Justice Guild. Um both uh Robot and Monster Girl. And uh yeah, you know, motherfuckers already took a loss uh losing Rex last season, shit like that. So shit's hitting the fan on a lot of different fronts so far this season. And um my biggest gripe is like I do appreciate that we have the longer form episodes. I just wish we would have longer seasons too, you know? Give us at least 10 or 12 episodes instead of eight, because they do pack a lot into these stories or these episodes, and I feel like they do a good job of covering shit without like leaving too much out, but at the same time, like most recent episode they dropped uh yesterday, where uh Mark's helping uh Damien, uh the demon down in hell, and yeah, we're just getting a whole bunch of lore dumped into us about like this whole battle for hell and how they keep Earth safe and shit. And it's like, yeah, I like that we got a whole episode focusing on this. I wish we uh had more time to uh see some of these other plot points going on, but yeah, that's a small critique. So far, I'm really enjoying what they've uh got going with this season.

SPEAKER_00

Hell yeah, hell yeah. Um, I wasn't too crazy after the last season, um, but I'm gonna I'm gonna lock in and start watching. Uh I'll probably start, I'll probably binge it tomorrow night or something like that. Um we'll talk about it next week. Um, but all right, that's all we got for here for here we for y'all today on the I don't know podcast. Man, Chase will be back next week. Chase, have a good one.

SPEAKER_01

Yep, you too, bruh. Later, y'all.
